Study on the atmospheric heat engine efficiency and heat source characteristics of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau in summer

There are many types of atmospheric heat engines in land-air *** accurate definition,calculation and interpretation of the efficiency of atmospheric heat engines are key to understanding energy transfer and transformation of landair *** atmosphere over the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau(QTP)in summer can be regarded as a positive heat *** study of the heat engine efficiency is helpful to better understand land-air interaction and thermal-dynamic processes on the *** also provides a new perspective to explain the impact of the QTP on the climate of China,East Asia and even the *** this paper,we used MOD08 and ERA5 reanalysis data to calculate the atmospheric heat engine efficiency,surface heat source and atmospheric heat source on the QTP in summer(May to September)from 2000 to *** average atmospheric heat engine efficiency on the QTP in summer from 2000 to 2020 varies between 1.2%and 1.5%,which is less than 1.6%;the heat engine efficiency in summer is higher than that in June,July and August;the Qaidam Basin is the region with the highest atmospheric heat engine efficiency,followed by the western *** mean surface heat source on the QTP in summer from 2000 to 2020 is 96.0 W m^(−2),the atmospheric heat source is 90.7 W m^(−2),and the release of precipitation condensation latent heat is the most important component of the atmospheric heat source on the QTP in *** is a strong and significant positive correlation between the atmospheric heat engine efficiency and the surface heat source on the QTP in *** precipitation condensation latent heat is the most important component of the atmospheric heat source in summer and can reflect the precipitation *** is a strong and significant negative correlation between the atmospheric heat engine efficiency and the atmospheric heat source on the QTP in summer.

Anchoring Ru clusters to highly defective N-doped carbon nanotubes via a thermal-shock strategy for stable industrial hydrogen evolution

Non-Pt or low-Pt catalysts capable for stable generation of hydrogen via water electrolysis at an industrial level of current density are highly *** of strong metal-support connection is beneficial to improve the performance stability of *** we employed highly defective N-doped carbon nanotubes(d-N-CNT)as the support to achieve uniform and firm anchoring of Ru clusters(~1.9 nm)via a thermal-shock *** as-prepared Ru/d-N-CNT catalyst shows excellent catalytic activity for hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)in alkaline media and requires an overpotential(ƞ)of 12 mV at 10 mA·cm^(−2)and 116 mV at 200 mA·cm^(−2)with a Ru loading of 0.025 mg·cm^(−2).Impressively,Ru/d-N-CNT presents robust stability for HER at both low current density(stable for at least 1000 h at 10 mA·cm^(−2))and the industrial level of current density(stable for at least 100 h at 1000 mA·cm^(−2)),remarkably outperforming commercial Pt/C and Ru/*** highly defective nature of the N-CNT support endowed the as-prepared Ru/d-N-CNT catalyst with strong metal-support adhesion that efficiently suppressed agglomeration as well as obscission of Ru ***,the rich defects increased the surface energy of the N-CNT support and resulted in improved hydrophilicity as evidenced by the liquid contact angle measurement and the bubble evolution process,which also played an important role in stabilizing the HER performance especially at large current density.

BACKGROUND The clinical incidence of spinal infection is gradually increasing,and its onset is insidious,easily leading to missed diagnosis and misdiagnosis,which may lead to serious complications such as nervous system dysfunction,spinal instability and/or deformity,and cause a huge burden on society and *** identification of the causative agent and precision medicine will greatly reduce the suffering of *** present,the main pathogenic bacteria that cause spinal infection are Staphylococcus aureus,Streptococcus,Pneumococcus,Escherichia coli,and *** are no reports of spinal infection caused by Pseudomonas *** SUMMARY We report a 32-year-old female patient with spinal *** presented with flank pain,initially thought to be bone metastases or bone tuberculosis,and had a family background of *** clinical features and changes in imaging and laboratory tests led to the suspicion of thoracic spine *** of the lesion showed inflammation,tissue culture of the lesion was negative several times,and the possible pathogen-Pseudomonas fluorescens was found after gene sequencing of the *** patient recovered completely after a full course of antibiotic *** This report increases the range of pathogens involved in spinal infections,highlights the unique advantages of gene sequencing technology in difficult-todiagnose diseases,and validates conservative treatment with a full course of antibiotics for spinal infections without complications.

As a hydrolase, chymotrypsin(CHT) is involved in many physiological activities, and its abnormal activity is closely related to diabetes, pancreatic fibrosis, chronic pancreatitis and pancreatic cancer. In this work,an innovative long-wavelength emission fluorescent probe TCF-CHT was designed and synthesized for the high specificity detection of CHT, which utilized TCF-OH and a mimetic peptide substrate 4-bromobutyryl as chromogenic group and recognition group, respectively. TCF-CHT exhibited excellent selectivity and eye-catching sensitivity(8.91 ng/m L) towards CHT, “off-on” long-wavelength emission at 670 nm and large Stokes shift(140 nm). Furthermore, the successful fulfillment and perfect performance in imaging endogenous CHT in complex organisms(P815 cells, HepG2 cells, zebrafish and tumor-bearing mice) verified its potential as a powerful tool for the recognition of CHT in complicated biological environments.

Optimizing FeCoNiCrTi high-entropy alloy with hydrogen pumping effect to boost de/hydrogenation performance of magnesium hydride

The exploration of efficient,long-lived and cost-effective transition metal catalysts is highly desirable for the practical hydrogen storage of magnesium hydride(MgH_(2)) in sustainable energy ***,FeCoNiCrTi high-entropy alloy(HEA) nanosheets were prepared via a facile wet chemical ball milling strategy and they were introduced into MgH_(2) to boost the hydrogen storage *** refined HEA exhibited superior catalytic activity on MgH_(2).In contrast to additive-free MgH_(2),the initial desorption temperature of the constructed MgH_(2)-HEA composite was reduced from 330.0 to 198.5℃ and a remarkable 51% reduction in the dehydrogenation activation energy was ***,the MgH_(2)-HEA composite only required one-twentieth time of that consumed by pure MgH_(2) to absorb 5.0 wt% of H_(2) at 225℃.The synergy between the "hydrogen pumping" effect of Mg_2Ni/Mg_2NiH_4 and Mg_2Co/Mg_2CoH_5 couples,as well as the good dispersion of Fe,Cr and Ti on the surface of MgH_(2) contributed to the enhanced de/hydrogenation performance of the MgH_(2)-HEA *** study furnishes important steering for the design and fabrication of multiple transition metal catalysts and may push the commercial application of magnesium-based hydrides one step forward.

Electrochemical reconstruction: a new perspective on Sn metal-organic complex microbelts as robust anode for lithium storage

Tin-based materials with high theoretical capacity and suitable working voltage are ideal anode materials for lithium-ion batteries(liBs). However, to overcome their shortcomings(volume expansion and inferior stability), the preparation processes are usually complicated and expensive. Herein, a tin-based metal-organic complex(tin 1,2-benzenedicarboxylic acid, Sn-BDC)with one-dimensional microbelt morphology is synthesized by a facile, rapid and low-cost co-precipitation method, and served as anode material for liBs without any post-treatment. Sn-BDC exhibits a high reversible capacity with609/440 m Ah·g^(-1) at 50/2000 m A·g^(-1), and robust cycling stability of 856 m Ah·g^(-1) after 200 cycles at 200 m A·g^(-1),which are obviously superior to that of the Sn Ox/C counterparts. Moreover, an electrochemical reconstruction perspective on the lithium storage mechanism of Sn-BDC is proposed by systematic ex-situ characterizations. The reconstructed SnO_(2) replaces Sn-BDC and becomes the active material in the subsequent cycles. As the by-product of the lithiation reaction, the formed li-based metal-organic complex(li-BDC, wrapped around the reconstructed SnO_(2)) plays an important role in alleviating volume expansion and accelerating the charge transfer *** work is beneficial to design and construct the new electrode materials based on the electrochemical reconstruction for advanced liBs.

Catalytic transformation of 4-nitrophenol into 4-aminophenol over ZnO nanowire array-decorated Cu nanoparticles

To realize economical and effective removal of hazardous 4-nitrophenol from the environment,we developed an easily recyclable ZnO nanowire array decorated with Cu *** salix argyracea-shaped structure not only provides a platform to achieve stable and good dispersion of Cu nanoparticles,but also offers a great deal of catalytically active *** density functional theory calculations reveal that ZnO and Cu have a very beneficial synergistic effect on their catalytic *** synergy is ascribed to the electronic localization occurring at ZnO/Cu interface,which helps improve Cu nanoparticle’s ability to adsorb electro-negatively 4-nitrophenolate ions and to capture hydrogen radicals,thereby accelerating the hydrogen transfer from metal hydride complex to *** from these characteristics,it exhibits high efficiency and reusability towards the catalytic reduction of waste 4-nitrophenol to valuable 4-aminophenol with a rate constant of 43.02×10^(-3)s^(-1)and an average conversion of 96.5%in 90 s during 10 *** activity is superior to that of most reported noble-or non-noble-metal powder,bulk,coating,and array catalysts,indicating its competitive advantages in cost and efficiency,as well as enticing application prospects.

纤维增强聚合物(FRP)筋作为非腐蚀材料替代钢筋已成为解决锈蚀问题的创新方案,被应用于预应力结构、海洋平台、沿海码头和长期处于浸蚀性化学环境的构件中。关于FRP筋混凝土构件的纯扭承载力设计方法只有加拿大规范CSA S806-12提出,且以借鉴现有的钢筋混凝土构件纯扭承载力计算公式的形式给出,考虑了FRP筋与钢筋间材料力学参数的区别。该文通过已验证了的三维细观数值模拟方法,研究了最大横截面宽度为1000 mm的FRP筋混凝土柱纯扭破坏行为,揭示了其名义抗扭强度尺寸效应规律。基于模拟数据,对比了现有的FRP筋混凝土构件纯扭承载力计算公式,并在中国规范GB 50010-2010关于钢筋混凝土构件纯扭承载力计算方法的基础上,提出了考虑尺寸效应影响的FRP筋混凝土构件纯扭承载力的计算方法。通过对比现有的试验数据,验证了所提公式的正确性和合理性。

Media power,the impact that media have on public opinion and perspectives,plays a significant role in maintaining internal stability,exerting external influence,and shaping international dynamics for nations/***,prior research has primarily concentrated on news content and reporting time,resulting in limitations in evaluating media *** more accurately assess media power,we use news content,news reporting time,and news emotion simultaneously to explore the emotional contagion between *** use emotional contagion to measure the mutual influence between media and regard the media with greater impact as having stronger media *** propose a framework called Measuring Media Power via Emotional Contagion(MMPEC)to capture emotional contagion among media,enabling a more accurate assessment of media power at the media and national/regional *** also interprets experimental results through correlation and causality analyses,ensuring *** analyses confirm the higher accuracy of MMPEC compared to other baseline models,as demonstrated in the context of COVID-19-related news,yielding compelling and interesting insights.

Health risk assessment of heavy metal pollution in groundwater of a karst basin,SW China

To investigate the presence of metal elements and assess their health risk for the populace in the Nandong Underground River Basin(NURB),we conducted an analysis of eleven common heavy metals in the water body.A Health risk assessment(HRA)model was employed to analyze 84 water samples from the *** detection results revealed the following order of heavy metals concentrations:Fe>Al>Mn>Zn>As>Cd>Pb>Cr>Ni>Cu>*** analysis indicated a certain similarity in material source and migration transformation among these eleven metal *** study identified that the health risks for local residents exposed to metal elements in the water of NURB primarily stem from carcinogenic risk(10^(−6)–10^(−4)a^(−1))through the drinking water ***,the health risk of heavy metal exposure for children through drinking water was notably higher than for *** maximum health risks of Cr in both underground and surface water exceeded the recommendation standard(5.0×10^(−5)a^(−1))from ICRP,surpassing the values recommended by the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency,the Dutch Ministry of Construction and Environment and the British Royal Society(5.0×10^(−6)a^(−1)).The results of the health risk assessment indicate that Cr in the water of NURB is the primary source of carcinogenic risk for local residents,followed by Cd and ***,it is imperative to control these three carcinogenic metals when the water was used as drinking water resource.
