A high-precision hydrodynamic model coupled with the hydrological habitat suitability model to reveal estuarine vegetation distribution

In this paper,based on the finite volume method,a high-precision hydrodynamic model coupled with the habitat suitability model is established,and the computational efficiency of the coupled model is improved by a graphics processing unit(GPU)-accelerated *** coupled model is used to solve the problem of the non-conservation of mass that may be caused by the nearshore hydrodynamic model in the processing of wetting and drying,while avoiding the unphysical high velocities at the wetting and drying *** coupled model is applied to simulate the high-precision hydrodynamic process of the Liao River estuary(LRE)and the hydrological habitat suitability of the estuarine vegetation(Suaeda heteroptera)growing in the *** simulated values of the hydrological variables(the water level,the water depth,the current velocity and direction)are highly consistent with the measured *** root mean square errors(RMSE)of the hydrological variables are 0.10m,0.12m/s and 17.24°,***,the simulated combined suitability index(CSI)distribution of Suaeda heteroptera(***)matches with the distribution of *** obtained from the high-resolution remote sensing satellite images during the same time *** ratio of the simulated weighted usable area(WUA)of *** to the area obtained from the remote sensing satellite images during the same period is 81.9%.This study reveals the phenomenon that the distribution of *** in the LRE is highly correlated with the high-precision hydrodynamic processes,and provides a scientific basis and a valuable reference for the conservation and the restoration of the estuarine vegetation.

Error analysis and a new steering law design for spacecraft control system using SGCMGs

Based on the singular value decomposition theory,this paper analyzed the mechanism of escaping/avoiding singularity using generalized and weighted singularity-robust steering laws for a spacecraft that uses single gimbal control moment gyros （SGCMGs） as the actuator for the attitude control *** expression of output-torque error is given at the point of singularity,proving the incompatible relationship between the gimbal rate and the output-torque *** method of establishing a balance between the gimbal rate and the output-torque error is discussed,and a new steering law is *** results show that the proposed steering law can effectively drive SGCMGs to escape away from singularities.

Rational design of practical layered transition metal oxide cathode materials for sodium-ion batteries

Sodium-ion batteries (SIBs), which serve as alternatives or supplements to lithium-ion batteries, have been developed rapidly in recent years. Designing advanced high-performance layered NaxTMO_(2) cathode materials is beneficial for accelerating the commercialization of SIBs. Herein, the recent research progress on scalable synthesis methods, challenges on the path to commercialization and practical material design strategies for layered NaxTMO_(2) cathode materials is summarized. Co-precipitation method and solid-phase method are commonly used to synthesize NaxTMO_(2) on mass production and show their own advantages and disadvantages in terms of manufacturing cost, operative difficulty, sample quality and so on. To overcome drawbacks of layered NaxTMO_(2) cathode materials and meet the requirements for practical application, a detailed and deep understanding of development trends of layered NaxTMO_(2) cathode materials is also provided, including high specific energy materials, high-entropy oxides, single crystal materials, wide operation temperature materials and high air stability materials. This work can provide useful guidance in developing practical layered NaxTMO_(2) cathode materials for commercial SIBs.

Monotropein Induced Apoptosis and Suppressed Cell Cycle Progression in Colorectal Cancer Cells

Objective: To determine whether monotropein has an anticancer effect and explore its potential mechanisms against colorectal cancer(CRC) through network pharmacology and molecular docking combined with experimental verification. Methods: Network pharmacology and molecular docking were used to predict potential targets of monotropein against CRC. Cell counting kit assay, plate monoclonal assay and microscopic observation were used to investigate the antiproliferative effects of monotropein on CRC cells HCT116, HT29 and LoVo. Flow cytometry and scratch assay were used to analyze apoptosis and cell cycle, as well as cell migration, respectively in HCT116, HT29, and LoVo cells. Western blotting was used to detect the expression of proteins related to apoptosis, cell cycle, and cell migration, and the expression of proteins key to the Akt pathway. Results: The Gene Ontology and Reactome enrichment analyses indicated that the anticancer potential of monotropein against CRC might be involved in multiple cancer-related signaling pathways. Among these pathways, RAC-beta serine/threonine-protein kinase(Akt1, Akt2), cyclin-dependent kinase 6(CDK6), matrix metalloproteinase-9(MMP9), epidermal growth factor receptor(EGFR), cell division control protein 42 homolog(CDC42) were shown as the potential anticancer targets of monotropein against CRC. Molecular docking suggested that monotropein may interact with the 6 targets(Akt1, Akt2, CDK6, MMP9, EGFR, CDC42). Subsequently, cell activity of HCT116, HT29 and LoVo cell lines were significantly suppressed by monotropein(P<0.05). Furthermore, our research revealed that monotropein induced cell apoptosis by inhibiting Bcl-2 and increasing Bax, induced G_1–S cycle arrest in colorectal cancer by decreasing the expressions of CyclinD1, CDK4 and CDK6, inhibited cell migration by suppressing the expressions of CDC42 and MMP9(P<0.05), and might play an anticancer role through Akt signaling pathway. Fully distributed dynamic event-triggered formation-containment tracking for multiagent systems with multiple types of disturbances

This paper is dedicated to addressing the time-varying output formation-containment tracking(TVOFCT) problem for heterogeneous linear multiagent systems(MASs) with multiple types of disturbances under directed communication *** agents are divided into tracking leaders,formation leaders,and *** the output space,the formation leaders are required to form an expected geometric formation while tracking the tracking leader,and the followers are required to enter the convex hull spanned by formation ***,a disturbance observer is designed to observe the disturbance with deterministic ***,by combining adaptive technology with event-triggered technology,an independent fully distributed dynamic event-triggered(FDDET) compensator is designed to estimate the state of the tracking *** main advantages of this compensator lie in the following three aspects:(1) the adaptive weight does not increase unboundedly;(2) the interval time between events is expanded;(3) the design does not rely on any global *** to the design of this compensator,an independent FDDET convex hull observer is further designed to observe the convex hull spanned by formation ***,based on the designed disturbance observer,compensator,and convex hull observer,the adaptive disturbance rejection control input which can make the MASs achieve TVOFCT is ***,a numerical simulation is provided to clearly verify the validity of the theoretical results.

Dynamic analysis of tethered defunct satellites with solar panels

A precise dynamic model for towing and removing a defunct satellite with solar panels in orbit using a tethered net often has low computational efficiency owing to the complex contact and collision between the net and panels,which is not conducive to *** solve this problem,a“single main tether–multiple subtether”bifurcation structure with beads was employed as the tethered net *** study investigated the dynamics of tethered defunct satellites with solar panels,particularly the behavior of the attitude of the tethered satellite,oscillation of the main tether,and vibration of solar panels under different *** results showed that different attachment configurations of the subtethers and the flexibility of the main tether have an evident impact on the dynamic characteristics of the system.

HIF-1αpromotes virus replication and cytokine storm in H1N1 virus-induced severe pneumonia through cellular metabolic reprogramming

The mortality of patients with severe pneumonia caused by H1N1 infection is closely related to viral replication and cytokine ***,the specific mechanisms triggering virus replication and cytokine storm are still not fully ***,we identified hypoxia inducible factor-1α(HIF-1α)as one of the major host molecules that facilitates H1N1 virus replication followed by cytokine storm in alveolar epithelial ***,HIF-1αprotein expression is upregulated after H1N1 *** of HIF-1αattenuates pulmonary injury,viral replication and cytokine storm in *** addition,viral replication and cytokine storm were inhibited after HIF-1αknockdown in ***,the invasion of H1N1 virus into alveolar epithelial cells leads to a shift in glucose metabolism to glycolysis,with rapid production of ATP and *** of glycolysis significantly suppresses viral replication and inflammatory *** analysis revealed that H1N1-induced HIF-1αcan promote the expression of hexokinase 2(HK2),the key enzyme of glycolysis,and then not only provide energy for the rapid replication of H1N1 virus but also produce lactate,which reduces the accumulation of the MAVS/RIG-I complex and inhibits IFN-α/β*** conclusion,this study demonstrated that the upregulation of HIF-1αby H1N1 infection augments viral replication and cytokine storm by cellular metabolic reprogramming toward glycolysis mainly through upregulation of HK2,providing a theoretical basis for finding potential targets for the treatment of severe pneumonia caused by H1N1 infection.

Expediting redox kinetics of sulfur species on conductive scaffolds with limited charge accessible surface is considered as an imperative approach to realize energy-dense and power-intensive lithium-sulfur(Li-S)*** this work,the concept of concurrent hetero-/homo-geneous electrocatalysts is proposed to simultaneously mediate liquid-solid conversion of lithium polysulfides(LiPSs)and solid lithium disulfide/sulfide(Li_(2)S_(2)/Li_(2)S)propagation,the latter of which suffers from sluggish reduction kinetics due to buried conductive scaffold surface by extensive deposition of Li_(2)S_(2)/Li_(2)*** selected model material to verify this concept is a two-in-one catalyst:carbon nanotube(CNT)scaffold supported iron-cobalt(Fe-Co)alloy nanoparticles and partially carbonized selenium(C-Se)*** Fe-Co alloy serves as a heterogeneous electrocatalyst to seed Li_(2)S_(2)/Li_(2)S through sulphifilic active sites,while the C-Se sustainably releases soluble lithium polyselenides and functions as a homogeneous electrocatalyst to propagate Li_(2)S_(2)/Li_(2)S via solution *** bi-phasic mediation of the sulfur species benefits reduction kinetics of LiPS conversion,especially for the massive Li_(2)S_(2)/Li_(2)S growth scenario by affording an additional solution directed route in case of conductive surface being largely *** strategy endows the Li-S batteries with improved cycling stability(836 mA h g^(-1)after 180 cycles),rate capability(547 mA h g^(-1)at 4 C)and high sulfur loading superiority(2.96 mA h cm^(-2)at 2.4 mg cm^(-2)).This work hopes to enlighten the employment of bi-phasic electrocatalysts to dictate liquid-solid transformation of intermediates for conversion chemistry batteries.

Air-side economizers are increasingly used to take advantage of“free-cooling”in data centers with the intent of reducing the carbon footprint of ***,they can introduce outdoor pollutants to indoor environment of data centers and cause corrosion damage to the information technology *** evaluate the reliability of information technology equipment under various thermal and air-pollution conditions,a mechanistic model based on multi-ion transport and chemical reactions was *** model was used to predict Cu corrosion caused by Cl_(2)-containing pollutant *** also accounted for the effects of temperature(25℃and 28℃),relative humidity(50%,75%,and 95%),and *** also identified higher air temperature as a corrosion barrier and higher relative humidity as a corrosion accelerator,which agreed well with the experimental *** average root mean square error of the prediction was 13.7Å.The model can be used to evaluate the thermal guideline for data centers design and operation when Cl_(2)is present based on pre-established acceptable risk of corrosion in data centers’environment.
