BACKGROUND Transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt(TIPS)is a cause of acute-onchronic liver failure(ACLF).AIM To investigate the risk factors of ACLF within 1 year after TIPS in patients with cirrhosis and construct a prediction *** In total,379 patients with decompensated cirrhosis treated with TIPS at Nanjing Drum Tower Hospital from 2017 to 2020 were selected as the training cohort,and 123 patients from Nanfang Hospital were included in the external validation *** and multivariate logistic regression analyses were performed to identify independent *** prediction model was established based on the Akaike information *** and external validation were conducted to assess the performance of the *** Age and total bilirubin(TBil)were independent risk factors for the incidence of ACLF within 1 year after *** developed a prediction model comprising age,TBil,and serum sodium,which demonstrated good discrimination and calibration in both the training cohort and the external validation *** Age and TBil are independent risk factors for the incidence of ACLF within 1 year after TIPS in patients with decompensated *** model showed satisfying predictive value.

Thymus is a primary lymphoid organ, able to generate mature T cells that eventually colonize secondary lymphoid organs, and is therefore essential for peripheral T cell renewal. Recent data showed that normal thymocyte export can be altered by several influence factors including several chemokines, sphingosinel-phosphate （S1P）, transcription factors such as Foxjl, Kruppel-like transcription factor 2 （KLF2） and antigen stimulation, etc. In this review, we summarized the recent reports about study strategies, influence factors and possible molecular mechanisms in thymic output. The dynamic recrystallization behavior of microalloyed forged steel was investigated with a compression test in the temperature range of 1 223-1 473 K and a strain rate of 0. 01-5 s^-1. Activation energy was calculated to be 305.9 kJ/mol by regression analysis. Modeling equations were developed to represent the dynamic recrystallization volume fraction and grain size. Parameters of the modeling equations were determined as a function of the Zener-Hollomon parameter. The developed modeling equation will be combined with finite element modeling to predict microstructural change during the hot forging processing.

Background Recent studies have suggested that p38 mitogen-activated protein kinases （MAPK） signalling pathway plays an important role in hepatic fibrosis. This study explored the antifibrotic effect of oxymatrine on tetrachloromethane induced liver fibrosis in rats and its modulation on the p38 MAPK signalling pathway. Methods One hundred and twenty healthy male Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly assigned to six groups： normal （n=20）, induced fibrosis （n=20）, colchicine （n=20） and three treatment groups of oxymatrine （n=20x3）. We obesrved changes in deposition of collagen, hyaluronic acid （HA）, laminin （LN）, collagen type IV （CIV）, procollagen III （PCIll） and hydroxyproline （Hyp）, a-smooth muscle actin （α-SMA） and phosphor-p38 （pp38）. Results The relative indicators of changes in histopathology, HA, LN, CIV, PCIII, Hyp, a-SMA and pp38 were raised significantly in the induced fibrosis group （P〈0.01 vs normal group）. The semiquantitative hepatic fibrosis staging scores of middle dose group and high dose group were decreased （P 〈0.05 and P 〈0.01 respectively vs the induced fibrosis group）, as was the average area of collagen in rats＇ liver, the concentrations of serum HA, LN, CIV, PCIII and liver tissue homogenate Hyp. The gene expression of α-SMA mRNA was considerably decreased in the treated animals, as was the protein espression of pp38 protein. Conclusions Oxymatrine is effective in reducing the production and deposition of collagen in the liver tissue of experimental rats in ways which relate to modulating the fibrogenic signal transduction via p38 MAPK signalling pathway.

To obtain a high-entropy alloy characterized by high strength and plasticity,（NiCoV）100-xGaxx=0,5,7) was successfully prepared,cold-rolled,and *** microstructure was analyzed to correlate Ga content with the performance of the *** addition of Ga can produce alloying effects,including solid solution strengthening effect,second phase precipitation strengthening effect,and layer misalignment energy reduction *** experimental results show adding Ga elements can enrich Ni,Co,V,and Ga above the grain boundaries,causing the alloy to produce annealed twins *** alloy is strengthened mainly by precipitation,and the formation of the precipitation phase effectively enhances the strength of the *** low stacking fault energy promotes the toughening of NiCoV but makes the plasticity of the alloy ***,the formation of annealed twins effectively increases the plasticity,which makes the alloy harder but does not reduce the plasticity too *** comparing the experimental properties,（NiCoV）93Ga7showed the best mechanical properties at the annealing temperature of 900℃,yield strength,tensile strength and elongation of 906 MPa,1321 MPa and21.36 %,respectively.

Solid-state lithium metal batteries are one of the most promising options for next-generation batteries pursuing high-energy density and ***,the inevitable volatilization of lithium compounds during sintering leads to low relative density and low ionic conductivity of solid-state ***,the dynamic lithium-compensation mechanism is proposed to facilitate the densification of Ta-substituted garnet-type electrolyte(Li_(6.5)La_(3)Zr_(1.5)Ta_(0.5)O_(12)(LLZT))through the reversible manipulating of Li_(2)O ***_(2)ZrO_(3)is used as mother powder additive,which reacts with Li_(2)O in sintering atmosphere and forms Li_(6)Zr_(2)O_(7).Li_(2)ZrO_(3)/Li_(6)Zr_(2)O_(7)buffer pair manipulates the sintering Li_(2)O atmosphere,which is vital for LLZT,within the Li_(2)O partial pressure range corresponding to Li_(2)ZrO_(3)and Li_(6)Zr_(2)O_(7).Furthermore,the reversibility mechanism of buffer pair for Li_(2)O absorption and release is *** obtained LLZT exhibits a relative density of over 96%and an ionic conductivity exceeding 7×10^(−4)S·cm^(−1)with no abnormal grain *** symmetric cell demonstrates an excellent lithium dendrite suppressing ability(stable cycling at a current density of 0.3 mA·cm^(−2)for over 1000 h).Such dynamic lithium-compensation strategy has been successfully applied in atmosphere manipulation of LLZT sintering process,which reduces the dependence of LLZT on the Li_(2)O atmosphere,making it conducive to large-scale preparation of electrolyte ceramics.

Many epidemiologic and clinical studies have indicated that the frequency of breast cancer was lower in parous women than in nulliparous women. Moreover, the incidence of breast cancer has been reported to be lower in women with early childbirth than in women with late childbirth. To verify the effect of childbirth and the age at first childbirth on carcinogenesis and progression of breast cancer, we induced breast cancer by 7,12-dimethylbenanthracene (DMBA) in 120 female Sprague-Dawley (SD) rats, and divided them into control or experimental (DMBA-treated) nulliparous, early childbirth, and late childbirth groups to observe the incidence, latency, and size of breast cancer. Argyrophilic nucleolar organizer regions (AgNOR) count and the expression of C-erbB-2, proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA), Ki-67, and minichromosome maintenance protein 2 (MCM2) in breast cancer tissues were detected by immunohistochemistry. The breast cancer incidences were 95.0%, 16.7%, and 58.8% in the experimental nulliparous, early childbirth, and late childbirth groups, respectively (all P < 0.05). Between any two of these groups, the latency was significantly different, but tumor size was similar. AgNOR count and the expression of C-erbB-2, PCNA, Ki-67, and MCM2 were significantly higher in the experimental nulliparous group than in the experimental early or late childbirth groups (P < 0.05), but no significant differences were observed between the latter two groups. Taken together, the results suggest that childbirth, especially early childbirth, can reduce the incidence and postpone the onset of DMBA-induced breast cancer.

The ice phenology of alpine lakes on the Tibetan Plateau(TP)is a rapid and direct responder to climate changes,and the variations in lake ice exhibit high temporal frequency *** and passive microwave data are widely used to monitor lake ice changes with high temporal ***,the low spatial resolutions make it difficult to effectively quantify the freeze-melt dynamics of *** work used Sentinel-1 synthetic aperture radar(SAR)data to derive high-resolution ice maps(about 6 days),then with the aid of Sentinel-2 optical images to quantify freeze-melt processes in three typical lakes on the TP(*** Co,Ayakekumu Lake,and Nam Co).The results showed that three lakes had an average annual ice period of 125-157 days and a complete ice cover period of 72-115 days,from 2018 to *** exhibit different ice phenology *** Co is characterized by repeated episodes of freezing,melting,and refreezing,resulting in a prolonged freeze-up ***,the break-up period of Nam Co lasts for a longer duration(about 19 days),and the break-up exhibits a smooth ***,Ayakekumu Lake showed more significant inter-annual fluctuations in the freeze-up period,with deviations of up to 28 days observed among different *** to the other two lakes,Selin Co experienced a relatively short freeze-up and break-up *** short,Sentinel-1 SAR data can effectively monitor the weekly and seasonal variations in lake ice on the ***,this data facilitates quantification of the freeze-melt dynamics.
