Safety and clinical efficacy of linezolid in children:a systematic review and meta-analysis

Background We aimed to evaluate the tolerability and efficacy of linezolid in children for treating suspected and diagnosed Gram-positive bacterial *** A systematic literature search was conducted up to April 23,2021,using linezolid and its synonyms as search *** reviewers independently identified and extracted relevant randomized controlled trials and prospective cohort *** extracted studies were included in a single-rate meta-analysis of adverse events and clinical outcomes using random-effects *** A total of 1082 articles were identified,and nine studies involving 758 children were included in the *** overall proportion of adverse events was 8.91%[95%confidence interval(CI)=1.64%–36.52%],with diarrhea(2.24%),vomiting(2.05%),and rash(1.72%)being the most *** incidences of thrombocytopenia and anemia were 0.68%and 0.16%,*** specific adverse events,including rash and gastrointestinal events,were more frequent in the oral administration *** terms of efficacy,the overall proportion of clinical improvement was 88.80%(95%CI=81.31%–93.52%).Children with a history of specific bacteriological diagnosis or concomitant antibiotic therapy had a 1.13-fold higher clinical improvement than children without such *** proportion of microbial eradication was 92.68%(95%CI=84.66%–96.68%).The proportion of all-cause mortality was 0.16%(95%CI=0.00%–7.75%).Conclusions Linezolid was well-tolerated in pediatric patients and was associated with a low frequency of adverse events,such as anemia,thrombocytopenia,and ***,linezolid was effective in children with diagnosed and suspected Gram-positive infections.

Chro-austempering treatment of a medium-carbon high-strength bainitic steel

The integrated processing of chromizing and austempering(termed chro-austempering)treatments was *** microstructure and properties of a medium-carbon high-strength bainitic steel treated by chro-austempering treatments were investigated by metallography,scanning vibrating electrode technique,electrochemical workstation,and microhardness *** results show that the high-strength bainitic steel with carbide-free bainite as matrix and the chromized layers on surfaces was successfully fabricated by chro-austempering *** hardness of surface layers was about 3.5 times that of the bainite ***,the corrosion started from exposed bainitic matrix and proceeded along the depth direction,testifying that the surface corrosion resistance was significantly improved by chro-austempering treatment due to the formation of Cr_(7)C_(3)and(Cr,Fe)7_(7)C_(3)on the surface.

Molecular modulating of cobalt phthalocyanines on aminofunctionalized carbon nanotubes for enhanced electrocatalytic CO_(2)conversion

Metal porphyrins and metal phthalocyanines(Pc)constitute a promising class of metal molecular catalysts(MMCs)for efficient CO_(2)-to-CO electrocatalytic conversion due to their well-defined molecular *** to adjust the local coordination and electronic environment of the metal center and enhance the molecular-level dispersion of the active components remains as great challenges for further improving the ***,a cobalt(II)Pc(CoPc)-COOH/carbon nanotube(CNT)-NH_(2)hybrid catalyst was rationally designed by clicking the CoPc-COOH molecules onto the surface of CNT-NH_(2)through amidation *** novel hybrid catalyst exhibited the enhanced current density of 22.4 mA/cm2 and CO selectivity of 91%at−0.88 V *** hydrogen electrode(RHE)in the CO_(2)electroreduction,as compared with CoPc-COOH/CNT and CoPc/CNT *** superior activity was ascribed to the charge transfer induced by introduction of-COOH and-NH_(2)functional groups to CoPc and CNT,respectively,facilitating the active centers of CoI being generated at lower potentials,and leading to the highest turnover frequency(TOF)being obtained over the CoPc-COOH/CNT-NH_(2)hybrid *** inherent directivity and saturability of covalent bonds formed via the amidation reaction ensure not only a higher density of Co active centers,but also an improved stability for CO_(2)reduction reaction(CO_(2)RR).The present study represents an effective strategy for improving MMCs performance by molecular modulating of metal phthalocyanines on functionalized carbon substrates directed by click confinement chemistry.

To understand the epidemiological and clinical features of the symptomatic and asymptomatic pediatric cases of COVID-19,we carried out a prospective study in Shanghai during the period of January 19 to April 30,2020.A total of 49 children(mean age 11.5±5.12 years)confirmed with SARS-CoV-2 infection were enrolled in the study,including 11(22.4%)domestic cases and 38(77.6%)imported ***(81.8%)local cases and 12(31.6%)imported cases had a definitive epidemiological ***-eight(57.1%)were symptomatic and 21(42.9%)were *** asymptomatic nor symptomatic cases progressed to severe *** mean duration of viral shedding for SARS-CoV-2 in upper respiratory tract was 14.1±6.4 days in asymptomatic cases and 14.8±8.4 days in symptomatic cases(P>0.05).Forty-five(91.8%)cases had viral RNA detected in *** mean duration of viral shedding in stool was 28.1±13.3 days in asymptomatic cases and 30.8±18.6 days in symptomatic participants(P>0.05).Children<7 years shed viral RNA in stool for a longer duration than school-aged children(P<0.05).Forty-three(87.8%)cases had seropositivity for antibodies against SARS-CoV-2 within 1–3 weeks after confirmation with *** conclusion,asymptomatic SARS-CoV-2 infection may be common in children in the community during the COVID-19 pandemic *** cases shed viral RNA in a similar pattern as symptomatic cases *** is of particular concern that asymptomatic individuals are potentially seed transmission of SARS-CoV-2 and pose a challenge to disease control.

Mordenite(MOR)has shown great potential to catalyze dimethyl ether(DME)carbonylation to methyl acetate(MA)in *** synergy between metal species and Brønsted acid sites accelerates DME *** we designed and prepared two catalysts with different Ag locations by seed-directed growth method and two-step impregnation method(named as Ag@HMOR and Ag/HMOR-out,respectively),to explain the effect of Ag location on catalytic *** results of TEM,XPS,CO-IR and UV–Vis showed that Ag species mainly presented as Ag^(0) species over both Ag@HMOR and Ag/***,Ag^(0) species mainly located in the micropores of Ag@HMOR,while as for Ag/HMOR-out,Ag^(0) mainly existed on external *** comparing the performance of the catalysts with different Ag positions,we confirmed that the Ag^(0) species encapsulated in the channels of HMOR promoted the DME carbonylation,which revealed the importance of spatial adjacency on the acid-metal catalysts.

Investigation of Nuclear Binding Energy and Charge Radius Based on Random Forest Algorithm

Co_(3)O_(4)as an efficient passive NO_(x) adsorber for emission control during cold-start of diesel engines

The Co_(3)O_(4)nanoparticles,dominated by a catalytically active(110)lattice plane,were synthesized as a low-temperature NO_(x) adsorbent to control the cold start emissions from *** nanoparticles boast a substantial quantity of active chemisorbed oxygen and lattice oxygen,which exhibited a NO_(x) uptake capacity commensurate with Pd/SSZ-13 at 100℃.The primary NO_(x) release temperature falls within a temperature range of 200-350℃,making it perfectly suitable for diesel *** characterization results demonstrate that chemisorbed oxygen facilitate nitro/nitrites intermediates formation,contributing to the NO_(x) storage at 100℃,while the nitrites begin to decompose within the 150-200℃***,lattice oxygen likely becomes involved in the activation of nitrites into more stable nitrate within this particular temperature *** concurrent processes of nitrites decomposition and its conversion to nitrates results in a minimal NO_(x) release between the temperatures of 150-200℃.The nitrate formed via lattice oxygen mainly induces the NO_(x) to be released as NO_(2) within a temperature range of 200-350℃,which is advantageous in enhancing the NO_(x) activity of downstream NH_(3)-SCR catalysts,by boosting the fast SCR reaction *** to its low cost,considerable NO_(x) absorption capacity,and optimal release temperature,Co_(3)O_(4)demonstrates potential as an effective material for passive NO_(x) adsorber applications.

Synchronous impact phenomenon of a high-dimension complex nonlinear dual-rotor system subjected to multi-frequency excitations

The“synchronous impact”is a phenomenon that increases the dynamic load of the inter-shaft bearing,when the frequency of the aerodynamic excitation is close to the contact frequency of the inter-shaft *** work addresses the“synchronous impact”phenomenon of an *** 104 degree-of-freedom dynamical model of an aero-engine is established by the finite element method,in which the complex nonlinearity of the Hertzian contact force of the inter-shaft bearing with clearance is included,and the multi-frequency excitations such as the unbalanced excitations of the high-and low-pressure rotors and the aerodynamic excitation are considered.A harmonic balance method combined with the alternating frequency time-domain method(HB-AFT)is introduced to obtain periodic responses of the high-dimension complex nonlinear dual-rotor *** results show that there emerges a peak value of the amplitude-frequency response for the contact frequency harmonic component of the outer ring of the inter-shaft bearing,when the aerodynamic excitation frequency is close to the contact *** addition,the dynamic load of the inter-shaft bearing increases ***,the parametric analysis shows that the“synchronous impact”phenomenon is sensitive to the change of the speed ratio of the high-and low-pressure *** dynamic load of inter-shaft bearing can be significantly reduced by changing the speed ratio by 1%.The results obtained in this paper not only provide more insight into the mechanism of the“synchronous impact”phenomenon but also demonstrate the HBAFT method as a potential semi-analytical tool to explore the high-dimension complex nonlinear system.
