We report the detailed crystal structures and physical properties of Ru_(1-x)Mo_(x)alloys in the solid solution range of x=*** characterizations indicate that the crystal structure changes from the hcp-Mg-type,toβ-CrFe-type,and then *** measurements of physical properties show that the Ru_(1-x)Mo_(x)samples with x≥0.2are superconductors and the superconducting transition temperature T_c as a function of Mo content exhibits a dome-like behavior.

The optimal atropine concentration for myopia control in Chinese children: a systematic review and network Metaanalysis

AIM:To figure out whether various atropine dosages may slow the progression of myopia in Chinese kids and teenagers and to determine the optimal atropine concentration for effectively slowing the progression of ***:A systematic search was conducted across the Cochrane Library,PubMed,Web of Science,EMBASE,CNKI,CBM,VIP,and Wanfang database,encompassing literature on slowing progression of myopia with varying atropine concentrations from database inception to January 17,*** extraction and quality assessment were performed,and a network Meta-analysis was executed using Stata version 14.0 *** were visually represented through ***:Fourteen papers comprising 2475 cases were included;five different concentrations of atropine solution were *** network Meta-analysis,along with the surface under the cumulative ranking curve(SUCRA),showed that 1%atropine(100%)>0.05%atropine(74.9%)>0.025%atropine(51.6%)>0.02%atropine(47.9%)>0.01%atropine(25.6%)>control in refraction change and 1%atropine(98.7%)>0.05%atropine(70.4%)>0.02%atropine(61.4%)>0.025%atropine(42%)>0.01%atropine(27.4%)>control in axial length(AL)***:In Chinese children and teenagers,the five various concentrations of atropine can reduce the progression of *** the network Meta-analysis showed that 1%atropine is the best one for controlling refraction and AL change,there is a high incidence of adverse effects with the use of 1%***,we suggest that 0.05%atropine is optimal for Chinese children to slow myopia progression.

This study assessed the influence of exogenous ME in the mitigation of cold damage in pepper seedlings. Melatonin(ME) is a dynamic molecule that helps plants cope with stress in several ways. Cold stress(CS) is one of the most important environmental factors that restrict plant growth and yield. Pepper(Capsicum annuum L.) is a valuable commercial crop, highly sensitive to CS. Thus, identifying an efficient strategy to mitigate cold damage is critical for long-term pepper production. For this purpose, the roots of pepper seedlings were pretreated with ME(5 μmol · L^(-1)) and exposed to CS for 7 d. The results indicated that CS suppressed pepper growth, hampered photosynthetic capacity, and damaged root architecture in pepper plants. In contrast, the production of reactive oxygen species(ROS), malondialdehyde(MDA), electrolyte leakage(EL), proline, and soluble sugars were enhanced in plants under CS. ME(5 μmol · L^(-1)) pretreatment reduced the negative effects of CS by recovering plant growth, root traits, gas exchange elements, and pigment molecules compared to CS control treatment. furthermore, ME application efficiently reduced oxidative stress markers [hydrogen peroxide(H_(2)O_(2)), superoxide ion(O_(2)^(·-)), EL, and MDA] while increasing proline and soluble sugar content in pepper leaves. ME application combined with CS further increased antioxidant enzymes and related gene expression. Collectively, our results confirmed the mitigating potential of ME supplementation for CS by maintaining pepper seedling growth,improving the photosynthesis apparatus, regulating pigments, and osmolyte content.

Long-term grape powder feed attenuates experimental ischemic stroke by altering gut microbiota and metabolome

Increasing evidence indicates that a healthy diet plays a protective role against ischemic stroke injury. As an antioxidant food， grape powder has been shown to have a neuroprotective function after ischemic injury. In the current research， we aimed to determine whether regular grape powder (GP) feeding before brain damage plays a protective role against ischemic damage and its potential mechanism. Mice had grape powder in drinking water for 4 weeks. Then， fecal samples were collected for 16S RNA analysis and metabolite profiling. Ischemic stroke was triggered using GP prefeed mice by MCAo (middle cerebral artery occlusion) to compare the stroke-induced infarction size to the drinking water (DW) group. The data showed that 4 weeks of GP pretreatment significantly decreased the ischemic infarct size. Meanwhile， GP treatment altered the gut microbiota by enriching the population of Lachnospiraceae and enhancing a gut metabolite called fiestin， which belongs to the flavonoid group. Mechanistically， we demonstrated that fiestin could inhibit LPS-induced proinflammatory macrophage polarization in vitro. We also showed that regular grape power feed could decrease stroke-induced neuroinflammation in vivo. In conclusion， our study demonstrated that 4 weeks of GP feeding attenuates experimental ischemic stroke via the gut-brain-immune axis.

Dear Editor,Patients undergoing allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation(HSCT)often experience a significant reduction in immune function due to factors such as severe lymphopenia,immunosuppressive treatment,and the development of graft-versus-host disease,rendering them more susceptible to severe infections(Sahin et al.,2016).Traditional diagnostic approaches are limited in sensitivity,speed,and assay targets,thus failing short of meeting the diagnostic demands(Qu et al.,2022).However,next-generation sequencing(NGS)has greatly improved the accuracy and efficiency of diagnosing various diseases(Schuler et al.,2022),and has been widely utilized for pathogen detection in samples from HSCT patients(Armstrong et al.,2019;Peng et al.,2021).In this study,we employed viral metagenomics analysis using high-throughput sequencing on fecal and tissue samples from a patient with HSCT experiencing severe lingual papillomatosis.

Leptonic di-flavor and di-number violation processes at high energyμ^(±)μ^(±)colliders

The leptonic di-flavor violation (LFV) processes μ^(±)μ^(±)→e^(±)e^(±) and μ^(±)μ^(±)→τ^(±)τ^(±) and leptonic di-number violation (LNV) processes μ^(±)μ^(±)→W_(i)^(±)W_(j)^(±) (i,j=1,2) at same-sign high energy μ^(±)μ^(±) colliders are studied. The new physics (NP) factors that may play roles in these processes are highlighted by cataloging them into three types. Taking into account the experimental constraints, the processes at μ^(±)μ^(±) colliders are computed, and the results are presented properly. The results lead to the conclusion that observing the NP factors through the LFV and LNV processes at TeV-energy μ^(±)μ^(±) colliders has significant advantages that cannot be achieved elsewhere. Therefore, once the techniques for muon acceleration and collision are developed successfully, the option of building same-sign high energy muon colliders should be seriously considered.
