Optimal intestinal health and functionality are essential for animal health and performance,and simultaneously intestinal nutrient transporters and intestinal peptides are also involved in appetite and feed intake control *** the potential of essential oil(EO)in improving animal performance and improving feed palatability,we hypothesized that dietary supplementation of cinnamaldehyde and carvacrol could improve performance and appetite of nursery pigs by modulating intestinal health and ***(100 mg/kg),carvacrol(100 mg/kg),and their mixtures(including 50 mg/kg cinnamaldehyde and 50 mg/kg carvacrol)were supplemented into the diets of 240 nursery pigs for 42 d,and data related to performance were ***,the influence of EO on intestinal health,appetite and gut microbiota and their correlations were *** supplementation increased(Pcantly associated with daily gain and feed *** addition,EO supplementation somewhat improved appetite in nursery pigs,increased the diversity of the gut microbiome and the abundance of beneficial bacteria,and there was a correlation between altered bacterial structure and appetite-related *** findings indicate that EO is effective in promoting growth performance and nutrient absorption as well as in regulating appetite by improving intestinal health and ba

The nitrile butadiene rubber(NBR)hardness effect on the sealing characteristics of hydraulic O-ring rod seals is analyzed based on a mixed lubrication elastohydrodynamic *** studies are conducted to reveal the mechanism of the influence of rubber hardness on the static and dynamic behavior of *** optimized selections of rubber hardness are then investigated under different *** show that the low hardness seal is prone to stress concentration due to the extrusion effect under high pressure conditions;it is also more prone to leaking.A high hardness seal can better prevent leakage by reducing film thickness but it will cause large frictional power loss and increase the probability of wear *** choice of low hardness is recommended to reduce friction with the premise that leakage requirements are met.

Inspired by the driving muscles of the human arm,a 4-Degree of Freedom(DOF)concentrated driving humanoid robotic arm is proposed based on a spatial double parallel four-bar *** four-bar mechanism design reduces the inertia of the elbow-driving unit and the torque by 76.65%and 57.81%,*** the human pose regulation strategy that the human arm picks up a heavy object by adjusting its posture naturally without complicated control,the robotic arm features an integrated position-level closed-form inverse solution method considering both geometric and load capacity *** method consists of a geometric constraint model incorporating the arm angle(φ)and the Global Configuration(GC)to avoid joint limits and singularities,and a load capacity model to constrain the feasible domain of the arm ***,trajectory tracking simulations and experiments are conducted to validate the feasibility of the proposed inverse solution *** simulated maximum output torque,maximum output power and total energy consumption of the robotic arm are reduced by up to 2.0%,13.3%,and 33.3%,*** experimental results demonstrate that the robotic arm can bear heavy loads in a human-like posture,effectively reducing the maximum output torque and energy consumption of the robotic arm by 1.83%and 5.03%,respectively,while avoiding joints beyond geometric and load capacity *** proposed design provides a high payload–weight ratio and an efficient pose control solution for robotic arms,which can potentially broaden the application spectrum of humanoid robots.

Quantifying freeze-melt dynamics of lakes on the Tibetan Plateau using Sentinel-1 synthetic aperture radar imagery

The ice phenology of alpine lakes on the Tibetan Plateau(TP)is a rapid and direct responder to climate changes,and the variations in lake ice exhibit high temporal frequency *** and passive microwave data are widely used to monitor lake ice changes with high temporal ***,the low spatial resolutions make it difficult to effectively quantify the freeze-melt dynamics of *** work used Sentinel-1 synthetic aperture radar(SAR)data to derive high-resolution ice maps(about 6 days),then with the aid of Sentinel-2 optical images to quantify freeze-melt processes in three typical lakes on the TP(*** Co,Ayakekumu Lake,and Nam Co).The results showed that three lakes had an average annual ice period of 125-157 days and a complete ice cover period of 72-115 days,from 2018 to *** exhibit different ice phenology *** Co is characterized by repeated episodes of freezing,melting,and refreezing,resulting in a prolonged freeze-up ***,the break-up period of Nam Co lasts for a longer duration(about 19 days),and the break-up exhibits a smooth ***,Ayakekumu Lake showed more significant inter-annual fluctuations in the freeze-up period,with deviations of up to 28 days observed among different *** to the other two lakes,Selin Co experienced a relatively short freeze-up and break-up *** short,Sentinel-1 SAR data can effectively monitor the weekly and seasonal variations in lake ice on the ***,this data facilitates quantification of the freeze-melt dynamics.
