Biomineralization has garnered significant attention in the field of wastewater treatment due to its notable cost reduction compared to conventional *** reinjection water from oilfields containing an exceedingly high concentration of calcium and ferric ions will pose amajor hazard in ***,the utilization of biomineralization for precipitating these ions has been scarcely investigated due to limited tolerance among halophiles towards such extreme *** this study,free and immobilized halophiles Virgibacillus dokdonensis were used to precipitate these ions and the effects were compared,at the same time,biomineralizationmechanisms and mineral characteristicswere further *** results showthat bacterial concentration and carbonic anhydrase activitywere higher when additionally adding ferric ion based on calcium ion;the content of protein,polysaccharides,deoxyribonucleic acid and humic substances in the extracellular polymers also increased compared to *** ions were biomineralized into calcite and vaterite with mul-tiple *** to iron doping,the crystallinity and thermal stability of calcium carbonate decreased,the content of O-C=O,N-C=OandC-O-PO_(3) increased,the stable carbon isotope values became much more negative,andβ-sheet in minerals *** calcium concentrations facilitated ferric ion precipitation,while ferric ions hindered calcium *** immobilized bacteria performed better in ferric ion removal,with a precipitation ratio exceeding 90%.Free bacteria performed better in calcium removal,and the precipitation ratio reached a maximum of 56%.This research maybe provides some reference for the co-removal of calcium and ferric ions from the oilfield wastewater.

BACKGROUND Gallbladder neuroendocrine carcinoma(NEC)represents a subtype of gallbladder malignancies characterized by a low incidence,aggressive nature,and poor *** its clinical severity,the genetic alterations,mechanisms,and signaling pathways underlying gallbladder NEC remain *** SUMMARY This case study presents a rare instance of primary gallbladder NEC in a 73-year-old female patient,who underwent a radical cholecystectomy with hepatic hilar lymphadenectomy and resection of liver segments IV-B and *** gene sequencing and bioinformatics analysis tools,including STRING,GeneMANIA,Metascape,TRRUST,Sangerbox,cBioPortal and GSCA,were used to analyze the biological functions and features of mutated genes in gallbladder *** mutations(APC,ARID2,IFNA6,KEAP1,RB1,SMAD4,TP53,BTK,GATA1,GNAS,and PRDM3)were identified,and the tumor mutation burden was determined to be 9.52 muts/Mb via targeted gene sequencing.A protein-protein interaction network showed significant interactions among the twelve mutated *** Ontology and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes analyses were used to assess mutation functions and *** results revealed 40 tumor-related pathways.A key regulatory factor for gallbladder NEC-related genes was identified,and its biological functions and features were compared with those of gallbladder *** Gallbladder NEC requires standardized *** with other gallbladder carcinomas revealed clinical phenotypes,molecular alterations,functional characteristics,and enriched pathways.

By sustained activation of opioid receptors,chronic opioids cause analgesic tolerance,physical dependence,and opioid addiction,for which an effective treatment is still ***,as a part of limbic system,plays an important role in opioid *** this study,we using patch clamp recording method combined with pharmacological approaches investigated chronic morphine-induced adaptations in glutamatergic synaptic transmission in neurons of the basolateral amygdala(BLA).Chronic morphine significantly increased glutamate synaptic transmission in pyramidal neurons in BLA containingμ-opioid *** naive rats,DAMGO,μ-opioid receptor’s activator,could inhibit the release of presynaptic glutamate,while DAMGO would lost this inhibitory effect in chronic morphine *** found that in saline rats,DAMGO’s effect was blocked by AACOCF,an inhibitor of phospholipase A and 4-AP,which blocks the presynaptic voltage-dependent potassium channels regulated by metabolites of the PLA *** PKA didn’t play any roles in naive ***,we confirmed that in chronic morphine group,PLA2-AA-Kv pathway was downregulated and PKA was upregulated,which were involved in the effect of DAMGO on presynaptic glutamate *** job provided the new mechanism of opioid receptors in morphine treatment for further clinical perspective.

In the Mesoproterozoic and Neoproterozoic,the North China Craton(NCC)underwent long-lived sedimentation with minor volcanism in the Yan-Liao Rift forming the Mesoproterozoic Changcheng,Jixian and Qingbaikou Groups in *** basal boundary age of the Lower Changcheng Group indicates the initial time of the NCC as a stable cratonic block and can be used to make correlations among several representative basins *** studies have debated the initial depositional time of the Changcheng System,which is the key to understanding the Proterozoic tectonic evolution of the *** study documented the xenotime and monazite from the lowermost Changzhougou and Chuanlinggou Formations of the Changcheng *** monazite grains from the Chuanlinggou Formation yielded U–Pb ages between 1810 Ma and 2500 Ma,which are comparable to the detrital zircon U–Pb ages in the same formation,indicating their detrital *** mostly occurs as overgrowths on the detrital zircon grains,supporting a post-depositional *** low U content of the Changzhougou Formation’s xenotimes indicates a hydrothermal *** peak age of 1570±15 Ma may indicate a hydrothermal *** xenotime from the Chuanlinggou Formation is characterized by a high U content and a REE pattern with a nonexistent or weak negative Eu anomaly and a higher Gd/Yb ratio,implying a diagenetic *** xenotime overgrowths yielded a wide age variation,even on a single grain,due to prolonged xenotime *** oldest population of 1716±3 Ma is interpreted as the minimum depositional age of the Chuanlinggou *** lowest boundary of the Changchengian System must be older than 1716 *** work demonstrates that diagenetic xenotime could better constrain the depositional time;however,extensive systematic research is required,especially with higher spatial resolution and more diagenetic xenotime grains.

We describe a precise and accurate method for the direct determination of the Sr/Sr isotope ratio of botded Sr-rich natural mineral drinking water using multiple collector inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry(MC-ICP-MS).The method is validated by the comparative analysis of the same water with and without cation-exchange resin *** work indicates that isobarically interfering elements can be corrected for when Rb/Sr<0.05(Rb/Sr<0.015),and that the matrix elements(Ca,Mg,K and Na) have no significant effect on the accuracy of the Sr isotope *** method is simple,rapid,eliminates sample preparation time,and avoids potential contamination during complicated sample-preparation procedures. Therefore,the high sample throughput inherent to the MC-ICP-MS can be fully exploited.

Co-doped cryptomelane-type manganese oxide in situ grown on a nickel foam substrate for high humidity ozone decomposition

Monolithic catalysts with excellent O_(3)catalytic decomposition performance were prepared by in situ loading of Co-doped KMn_(8)O_(16)on the surface of nickel *** triple-layer structure with Co-doped KMn_(8)O_(16)/Ni6MnO_(8)/Ni foam was grown spontaneously on the surface of nickel foam by tuning the molar ratio of KMnO_(4)to Co(NO_(3))_(2)·6H_(2)O ***,the formed Ni6MnO_(8)structure between KMn_(8)O_(16)and nickel foam during in situ synthesis process effectively protected nickel foam from further etching,which significantly enhanced the reaction stability of *** optimum amount of Co doping in KMn_(8)O_(16)was available when the molar ratio of Mn to Co species in the precursor solution was 2:*** the Mn2Co1 catalyst had abundant oxygen vacancies and excellent hydrophobicity,thus creating outstanding O_(3)decomposition *** O_(3)conversion under dry conditions and relative humidity of 65%,90%over a period of 5 hr was 100%,94%and 80%with the space velocity of 28,000 hr^(−1),*** in situ constructed Co-doped KMn_(8)O_(16)/Ni foam catalyst showed the advantages of low price and gradual applicability of the preparation process,which provided an opportunity for the design of monolithic catalyst for O_(3)catalytic decomposition.
