AIM:To investigate the frequency and associated factors of accommodation and non-strabismic binocular vision dysfunction among medical university ***:Totally 158 student volunteers underwent routine vision examination in the optometry clinic of Guangxi Medical *** data were used to identify the different types of accommodation and nonstrabismic binocular vision dysfunction and to determine their *** analysis and logistic regression were used to examine the factors associated with these ***:The results showed that 36.71%of the subjects had accommodation and non-strabismic binocular vision issues,with 8.86%being attributed to accommodation dysfunction and 27.85%to binocular *** insufficiency(CI)was the most common abnormality,accounting for 13.29%.Those with these abnormalities experienced higher levels of eyestrain(χ2=69.518,Prange(r=-0.321,Prange(r=-0.294,Prange(r=-0.237,P=0.003).Logistic regression analysis indicated that gender,age,and the difference in right and binocular SE did not influence the emergence of these ***:Binocular vision abnormalities are more prevalent than accommodation dysfunction,with CI being the most frequent *** binocular refractive disparity leads to more severe eyestrain symptoms.

This paper investigates the prescribed-time state-feedback stabilization and prescribed-time inverse optimality problems for stochastic high-order nonlinear systems. First, a time-varying controller is designed by developing scaled quartic Lyapunov functions, which can guarantee that the system has a unique strong solution almost surely on the prescribed interval for any system initial conditions and that the states and the control converge to the origin in a mean-square form within the prescribed time. Then, the controller is redesigned to address the problem of prescribed-time inverse optimal mean-square stabilization. Finally,a concrete example is provided to confirm the efficiency of the proposed design schemes.

BACKGROUND The incidence of cholelithiasis has been on the rise in recent years,but the choice of procedure is *** To investigate the efficacy of laparoscopic cholecystectomy(LC)combined with endoscopic papillary balloon dilation(EPBD)in patients with gallbladder stones(GS)with common bile duct stones(CBDS).METHODS The clinical data of 102 patients with GS combined with CBDS were selected for retrospective analysis and divided into either an LC+EPBD group(n=50)or an LC+endoscopic sphincterotomy(EST)group(n=52)according to surgical ***-related indexes,postoperative recovery,postoperative complications,and expression levels of inflammatory response indexes were compared between the two *** Total surgical time,stone free rate,rate of conversion to laparotomy,and successful stone extraction rate did not differ significantly between the LC+EPBD group and LC+EST *** hemorrhage,time to ambulation,and length of hospitalization in the LC+EPBD group were lower than those of the LC+EST group(Pransaminase,alanine transaminase,and total bilirubin were lower in the LC+EPBD group than in the LC+EST group(P<0.05).CONCLUSION LC combined with EPBD and LC combined with EST are both effective procedures for the treatment of GS with CBDS,in which LC combined with EPBD is beneficial to shorten the patient’s hospitalization time,reduce the magnitude of elevated inflammatory response indexes,and promote postoperative recovery.

Lactic acid bacteria and the fermentation environment interact to form an intertwined system. Lactic acid bacteria are constantly evolving to adapt to different fermentation environments， causing changes in their physiological processes. To achieve a targeted improvement of their adaptability to various environments， a detail analysis of their evolutionary physiological processes is required. While several studies have been carried out in the past by using single-omics techniques to investigate their response to environmental stress， most researchers are now using a multi-omics approach to explore more detail in the biological regulatory networks and molecular mechanisms of lactic acid bacteria in response to environmental stress， thereby overcoming the limitations of single- omics analysis. Scope and approach: In this review， we describe the various single-omics approaches that have been used to study environmental stress in lactic acid bacteria， present the advantages of various multi-omics combined analysis approaches， and discuss the potential and practicality of applying emerging single-cell transcriptomics and single-cell metabolomics techniques to the molecular mechanism study of microbes response to environmental stress. Key ?ndings and conclusions: Multi-omics approaches enable the accurate identification of complex microbial physiological processes in different environments， allow people to comprehensively reveal the molecular mechanisms of microbes response to stress from different perspectives. Single-cell omics techniques， analyze the targeted regulation of microbial functions in a multi-dimensional space， provides a new perspective on understanding microbes responses environment stress.

AIM:To investigate botulinum toxin A(BTXA)efficacy on small-angle(≤25Δ)acute acquired concomitant esotropia(AACE)in early-stage ***:The electronic medical record data of AACE patients during March 2019 and June 2023 were collected in this retrospective and hospital-based cohort study.A total of 72 small-angle AACE patients received BTXA extraocular muscle *** were grouped by onset-to-treatment time(Group A:≤6mo,Group B:>6mo).Deviation of esotropia,eye alignment and stereopsis were analyzed at the period of pre/post-injection(1wk,1,3,and 6mo).Orthophoria rate at 6mo(horizontal deviation0.05)between two groups except onset-to-treatment time(2mo vs 11mo,P0.05);while in 3 and 6mo Group A was significantly smaller than group B(all P6mo)may reduce BTXA *** BTXA intervention benefits long-term eye alignment and stereopsis recovery.

Background and purpose Recent observational studies have reported that serum total homocysteine(tHcy)is associated with intracranial aneurysms(IAs).However,the causal effect of tHcy on IAs is *** leveraged large-scale genetic association and real-world data to investigate the causal effect of tHcy on IA *** We performed a two-sample Mendelian randomisation(MR)using publicly available genome-wide association studies summary statistics to investigate the causal relationship between tHcy and IAs,following the recommendations of the Strengthening the Reporting of Observational Studies in Epidemiology-MR ***,a propensity score matching(PSM)analysis was conducted to evaluate the detailed effects of tHcy on risk of IA formation by utilizing real-world multicentre data,including 9902 patients with and without IAs(1:1 matched).Further interaction and subgroup analyses were performed to elucidate how tHcy affects risk of IA *** MR analyses indicated that genetically determined tHcy was causally associated with IA risk(OR,1.38,95%CI 1.07 to 1.79;p=0.018).This is consistent with the more conservative weighted median analysis(OR,1.41,95%CI 1.03 to 1.93;p=0.039).Further sensitivity analyses showed no evidence of horizontal pleiotropy or heterogeneity of single nucleotide polymorphisms in causal *** to the PSM study,we found that,compared with low tHcy(≤15μmol/L),moderate tHcy(>15-30μmol/L)(OR 2.13,95%CI 1.93 to 2.36)and high tHcy(>30μmol/L)(OR 3.66,95%CI 2.71 to 4.95)were associated with a higher IA risk(p trend<0.001).Subgroup analyses demonstrated significant ORs of tHcy in each subgroup when stratified by traditional cardiovascular risk ***,there was also a synergistic effect of tHcy and hypertension on IA risk(p interaction<0.001;the relative excess risk due to interaction=1.65,95%CI 1.29 to 2.01).Conclusion Both large-scale genetic evidence and multicentre real-world data support a causal as
