Background:Puerarin(Pue)has been reported to be a natural active ingredient with multiple antiﬁbrotic properties.This work aimed at exploring the function of Pue in oral submucousﬁbrosis(OSF)treatment.Methods:Human oral mucosaﬁbroblasts(hOMF)were induced with transforming growth factor beta1(TGF-β1)and intervened with Pue.Expressions ofﬁbrosis-related markers were analyzed by Western blot and IF staining.Cell viability was characterized by the CCK-8 assay.Expressions of miR-30 family members were quantiﬁed by qRT-PCR.The correlation betweenﬁbroblast activation protein(FAP)and miR-30 family expression was evaluated by the Pearson correlation coefﬁcient.Bioinformatics prediction and dual-luciferase reporter assay were employed to verify the regulation between FAP and miR-30b-5p.The speciﬁc mechanism of Pue on OSF was explored through the promotion or inhibition of miR-30b-5p.Results:After induction by TGF-β1,hOMF showed upregulated Collagen I,Collagen III,and FAP expressions,while miR-30 family expression was downregulated with miR-30b-5p being the most signiﬁcant.Pue intervention inhibited the excessive proliferation of TGF-β1-induced hOMF,downregulated FAP,collagen type 3(COL3A1),collagen type 1(COL1A1),matrix metalloproteinase 1(MMP1),and matrix metalloproteinase 3(MMP3)expressions,and restored miR-30 family expression.Bioinformatics prediction and dual-luciferase reporter assay revealed that miR-30b-5p selectively inhibited FAP expression.Mechanistically,miR-30b-5p mimic suppressed the excessive proliferation of TGF-β1-induced hOMF and declinedﬁbrosis levels.Pue intervention signiﬁcantly reversed the promotion of TGF-β1-induced OSF by miR-30b-5p inhibition.Conclusion:Pue mediated miR-30b-5p targeting FAP against OSF,which provided a theoretical basis for the pathogenesis research and Pue application in OSF.

Objective: To clarify the potential mechanism of Banxia Xiexin Decoction(BXD) on colorectal cancer(CRC) from the perspective of metabolomics. Methods: Forty male C57BL/6 mice were randomly divided into normal control(NC), azoxymethane/dextran sulfate sodium(AOM/DSS) model, low-dose BXD(L-BXD), high-dose BXD(H-BXD) and mesalamine(MS) groups according to a random number table, 8 mice in each group. Colorectal cancer model was induced by AOM/DSS. BXD was administered daily at doses of 3.915(L-BXD) and 15.66 g/kg(H-BXD) by gavage for consecutive 21 days, and 100 mg/kg MS was used as positive control. Following the entire modeling cycle, colon length of mice was measured and quantity of colorectal tumors were counted. The spleen and thymus index were determined by calculating the spleen/thymus weight to body weight. Inflammatory cytokine and changes of serum metabolites were analyzed by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay kits and ultra performance liquid chromatography-quadrupole/time-of-flight mass spectrometry(UPLC-Q/TOF-MS), respectively. Results: Notably, BXD supplementation protected against weight loss, mitigated tumor formation, and diminished histologic damage in mice treated with AOM/DSS(P<0.05 or P<0.01). Moreover, BXD suppressed expression of serum inflammatory enzymes, and improved the spleen and thymus index(P<0.05). Compared with the normal group, 102 kinds of differential metabolites were screened in the AOM/DSS group, including 48 potential biomarkers, involving 18 main metabolic pathways. Totally 18 potential biomarkers related to CRC were identified, and the anti-CRC mechanism of BXD was closely related to D-glutamine and D-glutamate metabolism, phenylalanine, tyrosine and tryptophan biosynthesis, arginine biosynthesis, nitrogen metabolism and so on. Conclusion: BXD exerts partial protective effects on AOM/DSS-induced CRC by reducing inflammation, protecting organism immunity ability, and regulating amino acid metabolism.

Objective This study aimed to clarify the intervention effect of salidroside(SAL)on lung injury caused by PM_(2.5) in mice and illuminate the function of SIRT1-PGC-1ɑaxis.Methods Specific pathogen-free(SPF)grade male C57BL/6 mice were randomly assigned to the following groups:control group,SAL group,PM_(2.5) group,SAL+PM_(2.5) group.On the first day,SAL was given by gavage,and on the second day,PM_(2.5) suspension was given by intratracheal instillation.The whole experiment consist of a total of 10 cycles,lasting 20 days.At the end of treatment,blood samples and lung tissues were collected and analyzed.Observation of pathological changes in lung tissue using inverted microscopy and transmission electron microscopy.The expression of inflammatory,antioxidants,apoptosis,and SIRT1-PGC-1ɑproteins were detected by Western blotting.Results Exposure to PM_(2.5) leads to obvious morphological and pathologica changes in the lung of mice.PM_(2.5) caused a decline in levels of antioxidant-related enzymes and protein expressions of HO-1,Nrf2,SOD2,SIRT1 and PGC-1ɑ,and an increase in the protein expressions of IL-6,IL-1β,Bax,caspase-9 and cleaved caspase-3.However,SAL reversed the aforementioned changes caused by PM_(2.5) by activating the SIRT1-PGC-1α pathway.Conclusion SAL can activate SIRT1-PGC-1ɑ to ameliorate PM2.5-induced lung injury.

Role of electrodes in study of hydrovoltaic effects

The last decade has witnessed the emergence of hydrovoltaic technology,which can harvest electricity from different forms of water movement,such as raindrops,waves,flows,moisture,and natural evaporation.In particular,the evaporation-induced hydrovoltaic effect received great attention since its discovery in 2017 due to its negative heat emission property.Nevertheless,the influence of electrode reactions in evaporation-induced power generation is not negligible due to the chemical reaction between active metal electrodes and water,which leads to“exceptional”power generation.Herein,we designed a series of experiments based on air-laid paper devices with electrodes of different activities as the top and bottom electrodes.To verify the contribution of electrodes,we compared the output performance of different electrode combinations when the device was partially-wetted and fully-wetted.The device hydrophilicity,salt concentration,and acidity or basicity of solutions were also comprehensively investigated.It is demonstrated that the chemical reaction of active metals(Zn,Cu,Ag,etc.)with different aqueous solutions can generate considerable electrical energy and significantly distort the device performance,especially for Zn electrodes with an output voltage from~1.26 to~1.52 V and current from~1.24 to~75.69μA.To promote the long-term development of hydrovoltaic technology,we recommend use of inert electrodes in hydrovoltaic studies,such as Au and Pt,especially in water and moisture environment.

Water constitutes the largest energy carrier on earth,absorbing more than 70%of the solar energy received by the earth's surface,yet its low exploitation has been a constant concern.The hydrovoltaic effect is an emerging technology that generates electricity through the direct interaction between nanomaterials and water of various forms(raindrops,waves,flows,moisture,and natural evaporation).Especially,the evaporation-driven hydrovoltaic effect is a spontaneous and ubiquitous process that can directly convert thermal energy from the surrounding environment into electricity without the demand for additional mechanical work,which shows unique advantages compared with other hydrovoltaic effects.A variety of nanostructured materials have been steadily developed for evaporation-driven hydrovoltaic devices(EHDs)in recent years.However,there has been a lack of a clear specification on the selection and design of materials for improving device performance.Herein,we first analyze the mechanisms of EHDs followed by a summarization of the recent advances in materials,including carbon materials,biomass-based materials,metal oxides,composite materials,and others.We then discuss the strategies for improving the energy conversion efficiency and the output power in terms of structural design,surface modification,and interface treatment.Finally,we provide an outlook on the potential applications of electricity generation,sensors,and desalination technology,as well as the challenges and prospects for the development of this emerging technology in the future.

Broadband light detection and sensing are widely applied in modern technology.As a promising candidate for next-generation two-dimensional(2D)optoelectronic material,bismuth oxyselenide(Bi_(2)O_(2)Se)nanoplates exhibit many prospects in the application of visible light detection due to their peculiar properties.In this work,we report the photodetection performance of single-crystal 2D Bi_(2)O_(2)Se nanoplates grown on SiO_(2)based on a ternary-alloy growth model by utilizing chemical vapor deposition(CVD).The Bi_(2)O_(2)Se nanoplates were found to have an even and uniform square shape with side lengths up to 15μm and an approximate thickness of 15 nm.A visible-light photodetector was fabricated based on a CVD-grown Bi_(2)O_(2)Se nanoplate,and characterized by a set of illumination experiments using a 400 nm laser at temperatures ranging from 77 to 370 K.The device exhibited superior performance at the temperature of 77 K,with a responsivity of 523 A/W,a specific detectivity of 1.37×10^(11)Jones,a response time of 0.2175 ms,an external quantum efficiency of 162,119.44%,resulting in high-quality and fullcolor imaging in the visible spectrum.These results indicate that the single-crystalline Bi_(2)O_(2)Se nanoplates have excellent potential in broadband photodetection and non-cryogenic imaging.

A new thermal model with triangular heat flux distribution is given in high-efficiency deep grinding. The mathematical expressions are driven to calculate the surface temperature. The transient behavior of the maximum temperature on contact area is investigated in different grinding conditions with a J-type thermocouple. The maximum contact temperatures measured in different conditions are found to be between 1 000 ℃ and 1 500 ℃ in burn-out conditions. The experiment results show good agreement with the new thermal model.

针对目视检查镍基高温合金叶片磨削烧伤时易出现误检、漏检等问题,提出一种基于深度学习的镍基高温合金叶片磨削烧伤识别分类模型(Tenon Grinding Burn Net,TenonG-BNet).以K4125镍基高温合金叶片为研究对象,通过磨削烧伤试验和试件组织检测获得不同烧伤程度的叶片榫齿磨削烧伤分级标准和对应的图片集;将ODConv动态卷积融合Inception V2模块和Coordinate Attention注意力机制,保证模型轻量化的同时提高模型的特征提取能力;使用全连接层进行识别分类.结果表明,与其他4个经典分类模型相比,TenonGBNet在具有较小的模型复杂度和参数量的同时保持了96.50%的平均分类准确率,且各烧伤等级的分类准确率均超过95%.

学术英语写作已成为大学英语教学的重要部分,但学界对其混合式教学模式的探讨还较为有限。本研究基于课堂生态视角,构筑混合式学术英语写作教学生态体系,并采用个案研究方法探究其教学实效。通过课堂观察、书面文本分析及半结构化访谈,研究发现学生在线上线下生态写作圈中呈现出不同的合作学习模式,并感知到该教学模式在教育、社会及技术维度的给养与挑战。本研究为混合式学术英语写作教学提供了启示。
