Validation and performance of three scoring systems for predicting primary non-function and early allograft failure after liver transplantation

Background: Primary non-function(PNF) and early allograft failure(EAF) after liver transplantation(LT) seriously affect patient outcomes. In clinical practice, effective prognostic tools for early identifying recipients at high risk of PNF and EAF were urgently needed. Recently, the Model for Early Allograft Function(MEAF), PNF score by King's College(King-PNF) and Balance-and-Risk-Lactate(BAR-Lac) score were developed to assess the risks of PNF and EAF. This study aimed to externally validate and compare the prognostic performance of these three scores for predicting PNF and EAF. Methods: A retrospective study included 720 patients with primary LT between January 2015 and December 2020. MEAF, King-PNF and BAR-Lac scores were compared using receiver operating characteristic(ROC) and the net reclassification improvement(NRI) and integrated discrimination improvement(IDI) analyses. Results: Of all 720 patients, 28(3.9%) developed PNF and 67(9.3%) developed EAF in 3 months. The overall early allograft dysfunction(EAD) rate was 39.0%. The 3-month patient mortality was 8.6% while 1-year graft-failure-free survival was 89.2%. The median MEAF, King-PNF and BAR-Lac scores were 5.0(3.5–6.3),-2.1(-2.6 to-1.2), and 5.0(2.0–11.0), respectively. For predicting PNF, MEAF and King-PNF scores had excellent area under curves(AUCs) of 0.872 and 0.891, superior to BAR-Lac(AUC = 0.830). The NRI and IDI analyses confirmed that King-PNF score had the best performance in predicting PNF while MEAF served as a better predictor of EAD. The EAF risk curve and 1-year graft-failure-free survival curve showed that King-PNF was superior to MEAF and BAR-Lac scores for stratifying the risk of EAF. Conclusions: MEAF, King-PNF and BAR-Lac were validated as practical and effective risk assessment tools of PNF. King-PNF score outperformed MEAF and BAR-Lac in predicting PNF and EAF within 6 months. BAR-Lac score had a huge advantage in the prediction for PNF without post-transplant variables. Proper use

Cryogenic pre-deformation treatment has been widely used to effectively improve the comprehensive mechanical properties of steels and novel metals. However,the dislocation evolution and phase transformation induced by different degrees of deep cryogenic deformation are not yet fully elucidated. In this study, the effects of multiple cryogenic pre-treatments on the mechanical properties and deformation mechanisms of a paramagnetic Fe63.3Mn14-Si9.1Cr9.8C3.8medium-entropy alloy（MEA） were investigated, leading to the discovery of a pretreated MEA that exhibits exceptional mechanical properties, including a fracture strength of 3.0 GPa, plastic strain of 26.1% and work-hardening index of 0.57. In addition, X-ray diffraction（XRD） and transmission electron microscopy（TEM）analyses revealed that multiple cryogenic pre-deformation treatments significantly increased the dislocation density of the MEA(from 9 × 1015to 4 × 1016m-2after three pretreatments), along with a transition in the dislocation type from predominantly edge dislocations to mixed dislocations（including screw-and edge-type dislocations）. Notably, this pretreated MEA retained its paramagnetic properties（μr< 1.0200） even after fracture. Thermodynamic calculations showed that cryogenic pretreatment can significantly reduce the stacking fault energy of the MEA by a factor of approximately four(i.e., from 9.7 to2.6 m J·m-2), thereby activating the synergistic effects of transformation-induced plasticity, twinning-induced plasticity and dislocation strengthening mechanisms. These synergistic effects lead to simultaneous strength and ductility enhancement of the MEA.

在环境压力日益增大的情境中,有效的环境治理不仅是提升生态质量的关键,也是确保社会经济可持续发展的必要条件。基于演化博弈理论,结合规制俘获并引入公众参与作为主要参数构建中央政府、地方政府和企业的三方博弈模型,探究了各博弈主体的策略选择及其影响因素,并分析了系统均衡点的稳定性。结论表明:企业选择绿色转型主要取决于转型的成本和收益,在缺乏各级政府监管情况下企业转型收益的提高有利于企业主动转型;中央政府的策略选择受到成本收益的制约,公众环境关注度的增加可以有效推动中央政府选择监督策略;地方政府是否被规制俘获的关键在于其监督成本的高低和对经济的偏好程度。

With the development of artificial intelligence,neural network provides unique opportunities for holography,such as high fidelity and dynamic *** to obtain real 3D scene and generate high fidelity hologram in real time is an urgent ***,we propose a liquid lens based holographic camera for real 3D scene hologram acquisition using an end-to-end physical model-driven network(EEPMD-Net).As the core component of the liquid camera,the first 10 mm large aperture electrowetting-based liquid lens is proposed by using specially fabricated *** design of the liquid camera ensures that the multi-layers of the real 3D scene can be obtained quickly and with great imaging *** EEPMD-Net takes the information of real 3D scene as the input,and uses two new structures of encoder and decoder networks to realize low-noise phase *** comparing the intensity information between the reconstructed image after depth fusion and the target scene,the composite loss function is constructed for phase optimization,and the high-fidelity training of hologram with true depth of the 3D scene is realized for the first *** holographic camera achieves the high-fidelity and fast generation of the hologram of the real 3D scene,and the reconstructed experiment proves that the holographic image has the advantage of low *** proposed holographic camera is unique and can be used in 3D display,measurement,encryption and other fields.

Effects of β-Glucan Supplementation on Repairing of Phenol-Induced Vaginal Mucosal Epithelium Damage in Rats

Objective: To investigate the effects of different concentrations of β-glucan on the repair of damaged vaginal mucosa, the expression of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), and the inflammatory factor-6 (IL-6) in vaginal tissues. Methods: Thirty-six adult female specific pathogen free (SPF)-grade Wistar rats were randomly divided into 3 phase groups with 12 rats each. Vaginal inflammation rat models were established by injecting phenol gel into the vagina of each rat at a dose of 0.1 ml/100g body weight. After modeling, rats were divided into 4 groups based on different concentrations of the test agent. The control group was injected with 0.5 ml of saline, experimental group A was injected with 0.375 ml saline 0.125 ml β-glucan, experimental group B was injected with 0.25 ml saline 0.25 ml β-glucan, and experimental group C was injected with 0.50 ml β-glucan. The injection sites were selected at the 3 o’clock and 9 o’clock positions of the vagina. Rats were sacrificed at 7-, 14-, and 28-days post-injection, and tissue samples were collected from the injection sites and prepared for histological analysis. New blood vessels and fibroblast numbers in the tissues were observed after Hematoxylin-eosin (HE) staining. The expression levels of VEGF and IL-6 in the tissues were measured using quantificational reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR). Results: Histological examination of vaginal tissue specimens at 7-, 14-, and 28-days post-injection showed that on day 7, there were no significant changes in the experimental groups compared to the control group. However, on days 14 and 28, the experimental groups showed more new blood vessels, macrophages, and fibroblasts with increased activity compared to the control group. The expression levels of VEGF in vaginal tissues were elevated on days 14 and 28 in the experimental groups. Nonlinear Multimodal Interference as Ultrafast Photonic Device for Dual-Wavelength Domain-Wall Dark Pulse Generation

In comparison to bright pulses, better stability that is not susceptible to loss makes dark pulses accessible for applications in such fields as signal processing, optics sensing, and quantum communication. Here we investigate the dual-wavelength domain-wall dark pulse generation in a graded-index multimode fiber(GIMF) based anomalous dispersion single-mode fiber(SMF) laser. By optimizing intra-cavity nonlinearity and pulse polarization, the mode-locked states can evolve each other between bright pulses, dark pulses, and bright-dark pulse pairs. The evolution mechanism among them may be relevant to the coherent mode superposition, spectral filtering, and mode selection in SMF-GIMF-SMF hybrid-fiber modulation devices that affect the pulse formation and evolution in temporal, frequency, and space domains. These results provide a valuable reference for promoting further development of nonlinear optics and ultrafast optics, in which ultrafast photonic devices, with low cost, simple manufacture as well as wide adaptability, as novel pulsed generation technique, play a vital role.

图像脉冲噪声移除是获得高质量图像的关键。本文通过热红外相机成像原理研究,提出了一种基于像素梯度自适应迭代中值滤波器的图像脉冲噪声抑制算法。首先,根据相机的调制传递函数计算获取原始图像的最大像素梯度,继而建立相应的像素梯度集合。然后,计算原始图像与对应像素梯度滤波图像的梯度权重均方根误差集合,并将该集合高斯分布的最大值对应的像素梯度确定为最佳像素梯度。最后,根据图像中脉冲噪声的密度和复杂度,确定所提滤波器的自适应窗口大小和迭代次数。大量实验结果表明,所提滤波器对移除8位、16位的单通道脉冲噪声图像展现出良好的鲁棒性。与其他先进方法相比,该方法可以实时移除真实热红外相机采集图像中低密度的随机值脉冲噪声和SAPN,并实现噪声抑制过程中99.5%以上的原始像素不会遭受破坏。除此之外,针对高密度SAPN抑制,该方法获得了具有竞争力的结果,与运行时间较快的滤波方法相比表现出较好的 PSNR和 SSIM,与 PSNR和 SSIM较优秀的去噪方法相比表现出较快的运行时间。对于极限 SAPN(99%)破坏的图像,也能够恢复有意义的图像细节。
