Th. objective of th.s investigation is to assess th. effect of obstacles on numerical h.at transfer and fluid flow momentum in a rectangular microch.nnel(MC).Two distinct configurations were studied:one with.ut obstacles and th. oth.r with.alternating obstacles placed on th. upper and lower *** research.utilized th. th.rmal lattice Boltzmann meth.d(LBM),wh.ch.solves th. energy and momentum equations of fluids with.th. BGK approximation,implemented in a Pyth.n coding *** jump and slip velocity conditions were utilized in th. simulation for th. MC and extended to all obstacle *** study aims to analyze th. rarefaction effect,with.Knudsen numbers(Kn)of 0.012,0.02,and *** outcomes indicate th.t rarefaction h.s a significant impact on th. velocity and temperature *** presence of nine obstacles led to slower fluid movement inside th. microch.nnel MC,resulting in faster cooling at th. *** MCs with.obstacles,th. rarefaction effect plays a crucial role in decreasing th. Nusselt number(Nu)and skin friction coefficient(Cf).Furth.rmore,th. study demonstrated th.t th. obstacles played a crucial role in boosting fluid flow and h.at transfer in th. *** findings suggest th.t th. examined configurations could h.ve potential applications as cooling tech.ologies in micro-electro-mech.nical systems and microdevice applications.

DC voltage and h.gh.common-mode *** common-mode voltage can cause a large leaked capacitive current,wh.ch.can result in undesirable operation in solar power applications.A common solution to th.s problem is th. addition of a large filter to th. input or output of an *** inh.rent sinusoidal voltage source inverter based on a modified Cuk converter as its basic cell,wh.ch.simultaneously generates a sinusoidal output voltage and a lower common-mode voltage,is *** proposed topology does not require additional input or output *** expressions are derived to confirm th. operation of th. proposed *** results confirm th. math.matical analysis.A laboratory-scale experiment is performed to verify th. proposed inverter.

h.morrh.ids are a common and painful condition,with.conventional treatments such.as endoscopic rubber band ligation(ERBL)and injection scleroth.rapy often falling sh.rt due to h.gh.recurrence rates and significant post-operative pain.A clinical trial by Qu et al introduces a novel approach.called endoscopic polidocanol foam sclerobanding(EFSB).Th.s multicenter randomized trial involved 195 patients with.grade II and III internal h.morrh.ids and demonstrated th.t EFSB significantly reduced recurrence rates and post-procedural pain wh.le improving symptom relief and patient satisfaction compared to *** study's strength. include its robust design,compreh.nsive outcome evaluation,and patient-centered *** limitations such.as th. single-blind design and relatively sh.rt follow-up period,th. findings suggest th.t EFSB could enh.nce clinical practice by offering a more effective and patient-friendly treatment *** research.is needed to validate th.se results and explore th. long-term benefits and cost-effectiveness of EFSB.

Climate and land use ch.nges h.ve a significant impact on th. runoff generation process in urban environments, and th.se effects could get worse in th. future. Th. combined contributions of th.se ch.nges h.ve increased th. risk of ***, th.re is a need for integrated modeling to better understand th. runoff variability, especially in small urban catch.ents. To quantify and separate th. effects of land-use ch.nges and climate ch.nge on th. h.drological response of urban catch.ents with.a distributed h.drological model(Storm Water Management Model, SWMM), th.s study introduces a new integrated approach.based on th. Mach.ne Learning based land use ch.nge modeler and climate ch.nge scenarios under *** on supervised classification and land use ch.nge model analysis, accumulated impervious area increase from 22%(in2023) to 33%(in 2060) was observed in th. study area. Furth.rmore, integrating th.s projected increase in imperviousness with.future climate ch.nge into SWMM by considering th.ee different scenarios i.e., S1(Climate Ch.nge), S2(Combined Land Use and Climate Ch.nge), and S3(Land use Ch.nge) resulted th.t climate ch.nge could cause an increase in runoff from 13.2% to18.3% in peak runoff and th. contribution of land use could range from 9.1% to 18.6%. Similarly, in response to th. coupled effects of climate and land-use ch.nge, th. runoff would likely ch.nge from 24.53% to 39.66%. Conclusively, th. study sh.wed th.t despite climate ch.nge, intensive urban development by th. substitution of impervious surfaces could also h.ve a severe impact on th. microclimate and h.drology of small catch.ents. Lastly, th.s study could provide a way forward for th. future planning and management of water resources in small catch.ents wh.ch.could be extended to larger catch.ents.

Tilted global solar irradiance in Bah.ain: an experimental study

In th. present work, tilted global solar irradiance data are presented and analysed, measured for a period of 1 year on th. campus of Bah.ain Polytech.ic, Kingdom of Bah.ain, from both.a fixed ph.tovoltaic panel and a moving one via a two-axis solar tracker. Th. fixed panel faces south.with.an angle of 26 degrees with.respect to th. h.rizontal, coinciding with.th. local geograph.cal latitude. Th. second panel is moved by two motors, controlled by a global positioning system and suitable software so th.t th. Sun's rays are perpendicular to th. panel surface. A pyranometer is installed on each.panel, recording th. tilted global solar irradiance, stored by using a data logger. Th. analysis of th. data obtained sh.ws a 33% solar energy gain on an annual basis for th. moving panel (2780 versus 2088 kWh.m2 on th. fixed panel). More importantly, in June, wh.n th. energy demand in Bah.ain is elevated due to th. increased residential cooling loads, th. solar energy received by th. moving panel is 54.7% h.gh.r compared with.th.t of th. fixed panel. On a percentage basis, th. increase in solar energy from th. moving panel is profound in th. early morning and late evening h.urs. Moreover, th. reduction in th. solar energy received by th. fixed panel from May to June does not appear in th. moving panel because of th. adjustable orientation of th. latter. Th.ough.ut th. year, th. mean daily solar power varies between 0.37 and 0.56 kW/m2 for th. fixed panel, and 0.45 and 0.70 kW/m2 for th. moving panel. In winter, solar energy fluctuations are elevated due to erratic weath.r conditions th.t present a peak standard deviation of 28% of th. corresponding mean. Th. data presented are useful for potential solar investments in Gulf countries. Tilted global solar irradiance data are measured and analysed for a period of 1 year on th. campus of Bah.ain Polytech.ic, Kingdom of Bah.ain, from both.a fixed ph.tovoltaic panel and a moving one via a two-axis solar tracker.
