The popularization of portable,implantable and wearable microelectronics has greatly stimulated the rapid development of high-power planar micro-supercapacitors(PMSCs).Particularly,the introduction of new functionalities(e.g.,high voltage,flexibility,stretchability,self-healing,electrochromism and photo/thermal response)to PMSCs is essential for building multifunctional PMSCs and their smart selfpowered integrated *** this review,we summarized the latest advances in PMSCs from various functional microdevices to their smart integrated ***,the functionalities of PMSCs are characterized by three major factors to emphasize their electrochemical behavior and unique scope of *** include but are not limited to high-voltage outputs(realized through asymmetric configuration,novel electrolyte and modular integration),mechanical resilience that includes various feats of flexibility or stretchability,and response to stimuli(self-healing,electrochromic,photo-responsive,or thermal-responsive properties).Furthermore,three representative integrated microsystems including energy harvester-PMSC,PMSC-energy consumption,and all-in-one selfpowered microsystems are elaborately overviewed to understand the emerging intelligent interaction ***,the key perspectives,challenges and opportunities of PMSCs for powering smart microelectronics are proposed in brief.

Scalable fabrication of printed Zn//MnO2 planar micro-batteries with high volumetric energy density and exceptional safety

The rapid development of printed and microscale electronics imminently requires compatible micro-batteries（MBs） with high performance, applicable scalability, and exceptional safety, but faces great challenges from the ever-reported stacked geometry. Herein the first printed planar prototype of aqueous-based, high-safety Zn//MnO2MBs, with outstanding performance, aesthetic diversity, flexibility and modularization, is demonstrated, based on interdigital patterns of Zn ink as anode and MnO2ink as cathode, with high-conducting graphene ink as a metal-free current collector, fabricated by an industrially scalable screen-printing technique. The planar separator-free Zn//MnO2MBs, tested in neutral aqueous electrolyte, deliver a high volumetric capacity of 19.3 mAh/cm3（corresponding to 393 mAh/g） at 7.5 mA/cm3, and notable volumetric energy density of 17.3 mWh/cm3, outperforming lithium thin-film batteries（≤10 mWh/cm3）. Furthermore, our Zn//MnO2MBs present long-term cyclability having a high capacity retention of 83.9% after 1300 cycles at 5 C, which is superior to stacked Zn//MnO2batteries previously reported. Also, Zn//MnO2planar MBs exhibit exceptional flexibility without observable capacity decay under serious deformation, and remarkably serial and parallel integration of constructing bipolar cells with high voltage and capacity output. Therefore, low-cost, environmentally benign Zn//MnO2MBs with in-plane geometry possess huge potential as high-energy, safe, scalable and flexible microscale power sources for direction integration with printed electronics.

DNA methylation is typically regarded as a repressive epigenetic marker for gene ***-wide DNA methylation patterns in plants are dynamically regulated by the opposing activities of DNA methylation and demethylation reactions. In Arabidopsis, a DNA methylation monitoring sequence(MEMS) in the promoter of the DNA demethylase gene ROS_1 functions as a methylstat that senses these opposing activities and regulates genome DNA methylation levels by adjusting ROS_1 expression. How DNA methylation in the MEMS region promotes ROS_1 expression is not known. Here, we show that several Su(var)3-9 homologs(SUVHs) can sense DNA methylation levels at the MEMS region and function redundantly to promote ROS_1 expression. The SUVHs bind to the MEMS region, and the extent of binding is correlated with the methylation level of the *** in the SUVHs lead to decreased ROS_1 expression, causing DNA hypermethylation at more than 1,000 genomic regions. Thus, the SUVHs function to mediate the activation of gene transcription by DNA methylation.

In recent years,many studies have investigated the correlations between Parkinson's disease(PD)and vitamin D status,but the conclusion remains *** present review focuses on the associations between PD and serum vitamin D levels by reviewing studies on the associations of PD with serum vitamin D levels and vitamin D receptor(VDR)gene polymorphisms from PubMed,Web of Science,Cochrane Library,and Embase *** found that PD patients have lower vitamin D levels than healthy controls and that the vitamin D concentrations are negatively correlated with PD risk and ***,higher vitamin D concentrations are linked to better cognitive function and mood in PD *** on the relationship between VDR gene polymorphisms and the risk of PD are inconsistent,but the Fokl(C/M)polymorphism is significantly linked with *** occurrence of Fokl(CT)gene polymorphism may influence the risk,severity,and cognitive ability of PD patients,while also possibly influencing the effect of Vitamin D3 supplementation in PD *** view of the neuroprotective effects of vitamin D and the close association between vitamin D and dopaminergic neurotransmission,interventional prospective studies on vitamin D supplementation in PD patients should be conducted in the future.

Species delimitation is essential to informing conservation policy and understanding ecological and evolutionary *** of our recent gains in knowledge on animal diversity rely on morphological characteristics and mitochondrial(mt)DNA *** results based on both have led to an unprecedented acceleration in the identification of new species and enriched the field of ***,discordances are also found commonly between morphological and mtDNA *** confounds species delimitation,especially when gene flow or mt genome introgression has ***,we illustrate how mt genome introgression among species of the Odorrana grahami complex confounds species delimitation using the combined evidence of morphological characters,mt variation,and thousands of nuclear single-nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs)from genotyping-by-sequencing(GBS).Fifty-eight samples across the distribution of the *** complex were *** mtDNA matrilineal genealogy indicated 2 clades,with *** and Odorrana junlianensis clustered *** contrast,all nuclear evidence including gene trees,species trees,and genetic structure analyses based on GBS data support 3 species with distinct genetic *** 3 distinct genetic clusters also correspond to distinct morphological *** affirm the distinct taxonomic entities of both *** and ***,as well as a third clade distinct from *** species the third clade belongs to remains unclear and will require further *** nuclear genomic loci contradict the COI evidence,with indications of rampant historical mt genome introgression among the species of the *** *** discordant signals previously confused species delimitation efforts in this *** on these findings,we recommend the integration of independent data,especially nuclear genomic evidence,in species delimitation so as to be robust against the pitfalls of mt introgression.

All-solid-state micro-supercapacitors are acknowledged as a very promising class of microscale energy storage devices for directly integrating portable and wearable electronics. However, the improvement of electrochemical performance from materials to devices still remains tremendous challenges. Here, we demonstrate a novel and universal mask-assisted filtration technology for the simplified fabrication of all-solid-state planar micro-supercapacitors（MSCs） based on interdigital patterns of 2D pseudocapacitive MnO2 nanosheets and electrochemically exfoliated graphene film as both electrode and current collector, and polyvinyl alcohol/Li Cl gel as electrolyte. Remarkably, the resulting MSCs exhibit outstanding areal capacitance of ～355 m F/cm^2, which is among the highest values reported in the state-of-the-art MSCs. Meanwhile, MSCs possess exceptionally mechanical flexibility as high as ～92% of initial capacitance even at a highly bending angle of 180°, excellent cyclability with a capacitance retention of 95% after 3000 cycles, and impressive serial or parallel integration for modulating the voltage or capacitance. Therefore, our proposed strategy of simplified construction of MSCs will pave the ways for utilizing graphene and analogous pseudocapactive nanosheets in high-performance MSCs.
