The biochemical property and functional identification of three recombinant glycosyltransferases,includingβ-1,4-rhamnosyltransferase(Cps8R),β-1,4-galactosyltransferase(Cps8) and α-2,3-sialyltransferase(Cps8K)involved in the biosynthesis of the tetrasaccharide repeating unit of serotypeⅧcapsular polysaccharide(CPS)of Group B Streptococci(GBS),were systematically investigated.Subsequently,these recombinant enzymes were employed for one-pot three-enzyme efficient synthesis of the tetrasaccharide repeating unit of GBS serotypeⅧCPS using the chemically synthesized Glca-PP-(CH2)ir-OPh as the starting substrate in a satisfying yieldof 87%.

传统的短文本分类研究方法存在两方面不足,一是不能全面地表示文本的语义信息,二是无法充分地提取和融合文本全局和局部信息。基于此,提出一种混合特征及多头注意力(HF-MHA)的中文短文本分类方法。该方法利用预训练模型计算中文短文本的字符级向量和词级向量表示,以得到更全面的文本特征向量表示;采用多头注意力机制捕捉文本序列中的依赖关系,以提高文本的语义理解;通过卷积神经网络分别提取两种向量表示的特征,并将其融合为一个特征向量,以整合文本的全局和局部信息;通过输出层得到分类结果。在三个公开数据集上的实验表明,HF-MHA能够有效地提升中文短文本分类的性能。

FA-Cs mixed-cation perovskite has been reported as a promising candidate for obtaining highly efficient and stable photovoltaic devices.Phenylethylamine iodide(PEAI)post-treatment is a widely used and effective method for surface passivation of FA-Cs perovskite layer in devices.However,it is still controversial whether the PEAI post-treatment would form two-dimensional(2D)perovskite PEA_(2)PbI_(4) capping layer or just result in PEA+terminated surface.Here in this work,the function of PEAI post-treatment on FA-Cs mixed-cation perovskite FA_(1-x)Cs_(x)PbI_(3)(x=0.1–0.9)with varied Cs contents is elucidated.With increased Cs content,the FA-Cs perovskite shows higher resistance to the cation exchange between FA+and PEA+.This Cs-content-dependent cation exchange results in the different PEAI reaction preferences with FA-Cs mixed-cation perovskites.Furthermore,higher Cs content with stronger resistance to cation exchange reaction leads to a wider processing window for post-treatment and defect passivation,which is beneficial for the fabrication of large-scale photovoltaic devices.

Considering the application requirements for modern biomedicine,research into novel biomaterials with unusual functions is highly desired.As an alternative,liquid metals(LMs),a nontraditional family of metal materials,have piqued the interest of biomedical researchers and made significant advances in biomed-ical areas,owing to their shape transformability,self-healing capability,excellent electrical,and thermal conductivities.In particular,many functionalized strategies for the preparation and modification of LMs or LMs-based composites to achieve extended biomedical applications have been investigated in recent years.These findings provided inspiring while constructive reference for the fabrication and engineering of novel LMs-based composites.Herein,in this topic review,we elaborate on the recent advances of LMs-based functional materials,with particular focuses on the synthesis,modification,and bio-applications,especially in antitumor therapy,antibacterial,contrast agent for imaging,bone repair,electronic skin sen-sor,and nerve connection agent.Further on,the current challenges and future prospects of LMs-based composites are carefully discussed.

This article focuses on the Sino-Russian security cooperation within the SCO. The authors consider the security cooperation as the one of the most important parts of bilateral relationships of the People's Republic of China and the Russian Federation. The Shanghai Cooperation Organization is a platform which was founded for Central Asia regional safety. Both China and Russia have an interest in preserving stability of Central Asia, which makes the SCO a unique and promising platform for Sino-Russian security cooperation. The authors come to conclusion that, although these states have different senses of the SCO future prospects, as the unofficial leaders they can morph it into more effective mechanism for their own cooperation by the way of combining their interests with mutual concessions and interaction with another regional organizations.

为揭示神农架南坡代表性常绿阔叶林主要木本植物的种间生态联系及群落演替趋势,以小叶青冈+曼青冈群系20个主要木本植物的190组种对为研究对象,通过生态位测定并区分生态位特化种和生态位泛化种以及种间联结性检验,分析该群落主要物种生态位与种间联结特征。主要结果:(1)该常绿阔叶林群落物种丰富,群落组成复杂,小叶青冈(Cyclobalanopsis myrsinifolia)的重要值(11.13%)和生态位宽度(58.3)均最大,占绝对优势,生态位宽度排序和重要值排序不一致,分布频度对生态位宽度影响较大。(2)将20种主要木本植物划分为生态位特化种(6种)、生态位泛化种(3种)、中性类群(11种),生态位分化程度较高,资源利用差异以及生境适应性是影响生态位分化的主要因素。(3)生态位宽度大的物种其生态位重叠和相似度较高,生态位重叠指数总体略低,大部分物种对环境或资源需求相似,但相似度不高,种间竞争较弱,种间关系比较稳定。(4)主要木本植物总体正联结显著(P<0.05),χ^(2)检验、联结系数AC、Spearman秩相关检验结果均显示种间正联结作用占优势,但大多数种对联结不显著,物种趋于独立分布。(5)通过聚类分析,将20种主要木本植物划分三大生态种组:建群种组,共生种组和边缘种组。研究表明,神农架南坡小叶青冈+曼青冈常绿阔叶林目前正处于相对稳定的演替中后期阶段,群落发育较成熟,生态位分化、生境选择以及资源需求互补或互利是影响该群落物种共存的主要原因。研究阐明了神农架南坡代表性常绿阔叶林主要物种之间实际相互作用以及群落特征,为深入理解群落物种共存原因以及群落演替规律提供依据。

Development of a novel virus-like particle-based vaccine for preventing tick-borne encephalitis virus infection

Tick-borne encephalitis virus(TBEV)is an important tick-borne pathogen that poses as a serious public health concern.The coverage and immunogenicity of the currently available vaccines against TBEV are relatively low;therefore,it is crucial to develop novel and effective vaccines against TBEV.The present study describes a novel strategy for the assembly of virus-like particles(VLPs)by co-expressing the structural(core/prM/E)and non-structural(NS2B/NS3Pro)proteins of TBEV.The efficacy of the VLPs was subsequently evaluated in C57BL/6 mice,and the resultant IgG serum could neutralize both Far-Eastern and European subtypes of TBEV.These findings indicated that the VLP-based vaccine elicited the production of cross-subtype reactive antibodies.The VLPs provided protection to mice lacking the type I interferon receptor(IFNAR^(-/-))against lethal TBEV challenge,with undetectable viral load in brain and intestinal tissues.Furthermore,the group that received the VLP vaccine did not exhibit significant pathological changes and the inflammatory factors were significantly suppressed compared to the control group.Immunization with the VLP vaccine induced the production of multiple-cytokine-producing antiviral CD4+T cells in vivo,including TNF-α^(+),IL-2^(+),and IFN-γ^(+)T cells.Altogether,the findings suggest that noninfectious VLPs can serve as a potentially safe and effective vaccine candidate against diverse subtypes of TBEV.

The organic–inorganic hybrid perovskite solar cells(PSCs)have demonstrated their unprecedented high efficiency and potential for commercialization.The volatile organic components in the hybrid perovskite crystal structure are still a big challenge for long-term stabilities.Recently,inorganic CsPbI3 perovskite has attracted much attention because of its superior chemical stability over the prevailing hybrid organic–inorganic perovskite and the most suitable band gap among all-inorganic perovskites.Nevertheless,CsPbI3 suffers from phase instability and low photovoltaic(PV)performance due to its undesirable tolerant factor.Much research effort has been devoted into stabilization of CsPbI3.In this perspective,we review the recent progress on chemical engineering processes for the stabilization of inorganic CsPbI3 perovskite for high-efficiency PVs.We also discuss the importance of understanding mechanism behind stabilization of CsPbI3 perovskite film and the development of inorganic CsPbI3-based highly efficient and stable PSCs.

Protein modification by small ubiquitin-like modifier(SUMO)is an important regulatory mechanism for multiple cellular pro-cesses.Although the canonical pathway involving the ubiquitylation or phosphorylation of IκBα has been well characterized,little is known about the sumoylation of IkBa in the control of NF-κB activity.Here,we find that histone deacetylase 4(HDAC4)negatively regulates tumor necrosis factor-alpha-or lipopolysaccharide-triggered NF-κB activation.HDAC4 belongs to the SUMO E3 ligase family and can directly sumoylate IκBα.The cytoplasm location of HDAC4 is essential for IκBαsumoylation.The Cys292 of HDAC4 is a key site for its SUMO E3 ligase activity.The sumoylation of IkBc prevents its polyubiquitination and degradation be-cause these two modifications occur both at the Lys21.Our findings reveal a previously undiscovered role for HDAC4 in the inflammatory response as a SUMO E3 ligase for IκBαsumoylation.Our work provides insight into mechanisms ensuring optimal mediation of the NF-κB pathway.

Melatonin restores normal Bax and Bcl-2 protein expression in the subgranular zone of the dentate gyrus in pinealectomized rats

In this study, we sought to elucidate the effects of melatonin on learning and memory as well as apoptosis and expression of the Bax or Bcl-2 proteins in the subgranular zone of the dentate gyrus in pinealectomized rats. Using the Morris water maze and the olfactory memory tests, we found that the average escape latency in pinealectomized rats was clearly increased compared with sham-operated rats. Moreover, the average escape latency in the melatonin-treated and pinealectomized rats was longer than that in the sham-operated rats and shorter than that in the pinealectomized and untreated rats. Immunohistochemistry and terminal-deoxynucleoitidyl transferase mediated nick end labeling （TUNEL） showed that there were fewer Bax immunoreactive cells and TUNEL-positive （apoptotic） cells but more Bcl-2 immunoreactive cells in the melatonin-treated rats compared with the pinealectomized rats. The sham-operated rats showed numbers of these cells similar to the melatonin-treated rats. These experimental findings demonstrate that melatonin treatment may reduce abnormal apoptosis by promoting gene expression of Bax and suppressing gene expression of Bcl-2 in the subgranular zone of the dentate gyrus in pinealectomized rats. These effects appear to result in the inhibition of cellular apoptosis and the improvement of spatial learning and memory in pinealectomized rats.
