The applications of nanoparticles suffer from their extremely small size and intrinsic trend of *** nanoparticles to form micro-sized nanoaggregates(MNAs)with increased size,ordered structure,as well as controllable size,shape,and morphology is a crucial step in various fields of science and technology to maintain the unique characteristics of nanoparticles while obtaining greatly enhanced or new performance at the *** structure of MNAs prominently affects their functionality,which is determined by the arrangement of nanoparticles and the interaction between primary *** methods have been proposed to prepare the MNAs,in which spray-drying technology stands out considering the feasibility,scalability for industry,cost,and *** assembly of nanoparticles through spray-drying under tunable process parameters yields diverse physical properties and structural arrangements of nanoparticles of the MNAs,they therefore exhibit enormous potential in a wide range of application *** review presents the construction and applications of spray-dried *** factors that influence the size,morphology,and structure of the MNAs are discussed in *** addition,the outstanding application performance resulting from the tightly packed nanoparticles in regular-shaped MNAs obtained by the spray-drying process is illustrated.

Transparent photoresists with a high refractive index(RI)and high transmittance in visible wavelengths have promising functionalities in optical *** work reports a kind of tunable optical material composed of titanium dioxide nanoparticles embedded in acrylic resin with a high RI for ultraviolet(UV)-imprint *** hybrid film exhibits a tunable RI of up to 1.67(589 nm)after being cured by UV light,while maintaining both a high transparency of over 98%in the visible light range and a low haze of less than 0.05%.The precision machining of optical microstructures can be imprinted easily and efficiently using the hybrid resin,which acts as a light guide plate(LGP)to guide the light from the side to the top in order to conserve the energy of the display *** preliminary studies based on both laboratory and commercial experiments pave the way for exploiting the unparalleled optical properties of nanocomposite resins and promoting their industrial application.

AIM:To evaluate the effects of antiglaucoma eye drops on corneal nerves by in vivo confocal microscopy(IVCM).METHODS:This study comprised 79 patients diagnosed with glaucoma and 16 healthy control *** the glaucoma patients,54 were treated with medication,while 25 remained *** corneal images were evaluated by IVCM,and then ACCMetrics was used to calculate the following parameters:corneal nerve fiber density(CNFD),branch density(CNBD),fiber length(CNFL),total branch density(CTBD),fiber area(CNFA),fiber width(CNFW),and fractal dimension(CNFrD).The correlation between IVCM parameters and drugs was evaluated using non-parametric measurements of Spearman’s rank correlation ***:The CNFD was reduced in glaucoma groups compared to healthy subjects(P<0.01).Patients using anti-glaucoma medications exhibited poorer confocal parameters compared to untreated *** the number of medications and usage count increased,CNFD,CNBD,CNFL,CTBD,CNFA,and CNFrD experienced a decline,while CNFW increased(all P<0.01).For the brinzolamide-therapy group,there was a significant decrease in CNFD and CNFL compared to the other monotherapy groups(P<0.001).In the absence of medication,CNFD in males was lower than that in females(P<0.05).Among patients under medication therapy,CNFD remained consistent between males and ***:Antiglaucoma eye drops affect the microstructure of corneal *** and ACCMetrics are useful tools that could be used to evaluate the corneal nerve changes.

With the development of carbon catalysts, graphene-based metal-free catalysts have drawn increasing attention in both scientific research and in industrial chemical production processes. In recent years, the catalytic activities of metal-free catalysts have significantly improved and they have become promising alternatives to traditional metal-based catalysts. The use of metal-free catalysts greatly improves the sustainability of chemical processes. In view of this, the recent progress in the preparation of graphene-based metal-free catalysts along with their applications in catalytic oxidation, reduction and coupling reactions are summarized in this review. The future trends and challenges for the design of graphene-based materials for industrial organic catalytic reactions with good stabilities and high catalytic performance are also discussed.

To investigate the shock response of cyclotetramethylene tetranitramine(HMX)single crystals at elevated temperatures(below the phase transition point),plate impact experiments at elevated temperatures were designed and *** HMX/window interface particle velocities at temperatures of 300 K,373 K,and 423 K were measured by the velocity interferometry system for any reflector(VISAR)*** further analyze the related mesoscale deformation mechanisms,a nonlinear thermoelastic-viscoplastic model was developed,which considers thermal activation and phonon drag dislocation slip *** proposed model could well reproduce the measured thermal hardening behavior of Hugoniot elastic limit(HEL)of HMX single *** elevated temperatures,the reduced dislocation mobility was observed,which stems from both phonon scattering and radiative damping *** speaking,radiative damping contributes less than phonon scattering to thermal hardening *** calibrated model was further used to predict shock response of HMX single crystals with different thicknesses at different initial *** the stress relaxation and elastic precursor decrease with thickness are mainly due to the rapid dislocation *** insights shed light on the interplay between dislocation motion and dislocation generation in thermal hardening behavior,stress relaxation,and elastic precursor decay,which serves to reveal the mesoscale deformation mechanisms at elevated temperatures.
