The rational design of highly active and stable atomically dispersed M-X4(M=Fe,Co,Ni,etc.,X=C,N)-based catalysts holds promises for wide application in almost all realms of *** great effort in the construction of specific M-X4 centers,the possible effect of non-coordinated heteroatoms on the catalytic activity of metal centers has been rarely ***,we develop a new type of M-X4 catalyst composed of Fe-N4 centers and non-coordinated B heteroatoms(FeNC+B)and find the key role of non-coordinated B adjacent to Fe-N4 centers in tailoring their electron density and final catalytic *** experimental and theoretical results demonstrated that non-coordinated boron atoms could decrease the electron density of Fe-N4 centers to a suitable level and thus boost the selective production of nitriles from amine oxidation by depressing the formation of imines due to the flattened energy barrier of the reversible conversion of imines back to *** a reusable heterocatalyst,the state-of-the-art FeNC+B catalyst provides a turn-over frequency(TOF)value of 21.6 molbenzonitrile·molFe^−1·h^−1(100℃),outpacing that of bench-marked nonnoble-metal-based homogeneous catalyst by a factor of 3.4.

Transportation planning is a critical component for creating an orderly,intensive,and sustainable pattern of land *** comprehensively considering the potential and suitability of transport construction,a comprehensive method combining resources and environmental carrying capacity(RECC)and land development suitability(LDS)was developed by using techniques of GIS,analytic hierarchy process(AHP)and threedimensional magic *** Aba prefecture in Sichuan Province of Southwest China as a case study,LDS for transportation was analyzed from three aspects,including overall planning layout,different transport modes,and transportation *** results showed that the transport planning scales of most counties in Aba were suitable,and the order of LDS of different transport modes was railway>highway=superhighway>tourism track,which already included 42 new transportation *** found that two counties(Maoxian County and Jiuzhaigou County)should improve the ecological protection level of transportation,in which the railway network construction should be encouraged,and some transportation projects with low LDS should be postponed or constructed *** suggest the combination of RECC and LDS for transportation could enhance the territorial space optimization and sustainable transport construction.

Recent reports have shown that apolipoprotein E （APOE） polymorphisms are involved in neurodegenerative disease. However, it is unclear whether APOE affects post-stroke depression. Accordingly, we hypothesized that APOE polymorphisms modify the risk of post-stroke depression. Here, we performed a hospital-based case-control study （including 76 cerebral infarction cases with post-stroke depression, 88 cerebral infarction cases without post-stroke depression, and 109 controls without any evidence of post-stroke depression or cerebral infarction） to determine possible association between APOE rs429358 and rs7412 polymorphisms and risk of post-stroke depression. Our findings show no difference among the groups with regards genotype distribution of the rs7412 polymorphism. In contrast, APOE genotypes with rs429358-C alleles increased the risk of post-stroke depression. Further, the rs429358 polymorphism was associated with significantly decreased regional cerebral blood flow values in the left temporal lobe of post-stroke depression cases. Additionally, the rs429358 polymorphism was not only associated with depression severity, but with increasing serum levels of total cholesterol. These resuits suggest that the APOE rs429358 polymorphism is associated with increased risk of developing post-stroke depression, and that APOE rs429358-C allele genotypes may be detrimental to recovery of nerve function after stoke. Indeed, these findings provide clinical data for future post-stroke depression gene interventions.

The morphology and crystallography of phases in the Cu-0.12% Zr alloy were investigated by scanning electron microscope(SEM), transmission electron microscope(TEM), and high-resolution transmission electron microscope(HRTEM). The results show that the as-cast microstructure of Cu–Zr alloy is mainly Cu matrix and eutectic structure which consist of Cu and Cu5Zr phases with a fine lamellar structure. The disk-shaped and plateliked Cu5Zr phases with fcc structure are found in the matrix, in which habit plane is parallel to {111}a plane of the *** the copper matrix and Cu5Zr phase,there exists an orientation relationship of [112]a|| [011]Cu5Zr;(111)a||(111)Cu5Zr. The space structure model of Cu5Zr phase can be established.

BACKGROUND Coronal shear fractures of the distal humerus are rare injuries and are technically challenging to *** reduction and internal fixation(ORIF)has become the preferred treatment because it provides anatomical reduction,stable internal fixation,and early motion,but the optimal surgical approach remains *** SUMMARY We report three cases of coronal shear fractures of the distal humerus treated successfully by ORIF via a novel surgical approach,in which lateral epicondyle osteotomy was performed based on the extended lateral *** named the novel surgical approach the lateral epicondyle osteotomy *** patients underwent surgical treatment and were discharged *** patients had excellent functional results according to the Mayo elbow performance *** average range of motion was 118°in flexion/extension and 172°in pronation/*** case 2 had a complication,which was implant *** We demonstrated that the lateral epicondyle osteotomy approach in ORIF is effective and safe for coronal shear fractures of the distal humerus.

The 2-hydroxy-4-methoxybenzyl(Hmb)backbone modification can prevent amide bond-mediated sidereactions(e.g.,aspartimide formation,peptide aggregation)by installing the removable Hmb group into a peptide bond,thus improving the synthesis of long and challenging peptides and ***,its use is largely precluded by the limited Hmb’s installation *** this report,an improved installation of Hmb(iHmb)method was developed to achieve the flexible installation and the convenient removal of *** iHmb method involves two critical steps:(1)oxidative diazotization of the readily installed 2-hydroxy-4-methoxy-5-amino-benzyl(Hmab)to give 2-hydroxy-4-methoxy-5-diazonium-benzyl(Hmdab)by combining soamyl nitrite(IAN)/HBF_(4),and(2)reductive elimination of Hmdab to give the desired Hmb by 1,2-ethanedithiol(EDT).The iHmb method enables the installation of Hmb at any primary amino acid including the highly sterically hindered amino acids(e.g.,valine and isoleucine).The practicality and utility of the iHmb method was demonstrated by one-shot solid-phase synthesis of a challenging aspartimide-prone peptide,the mirror-image version of a hydrophobic peptide and a long-chain peptide up to ***,the iHmb method can be utilized to facilitate chemical protein ligation,as exemplified by the synthesis of the single-spanning membrane protein *** iHmb method expands the toolkit for peptide synthesis and ligation and facilitates the preparation of peptides/proteins.

Recently emerged cancer immunochemotherapy has provided enormous new possibilities to replace traditional chemotherapy in fighting ***,the treatment efficacy is hampered by tumor hypoxiainduced immunosuppression in tumor microenvironment(TME).Herein,we fabricated a self-oxygenation/degradable inorganic nanozyme with a core-shell structure to relieve tumor hypoxia in cancer *** integrating the biocompatible CaO2 as the oxygen-storing component,this strategy is more effective than the earlier designed nanocarriers for delivering oxygen or H2O2,and thus provides remarkable oxygenation and long-term capability in relieving hypoxia throughout the tumor ***,in vivo tests validate that the delivery system can successfully relieve hypoxia and reverse the immunosuppressive TME to favor antitumor immune responses,leading to enhanced chemoimmunotherapy with cytotoxic T lymphocyte-associated antigen 4 ***,a facile,robust and effective strategy is proposed to improve tumor oxygenation by using self-decomposable and biocompatible inorganic nanozyme reactor,which will not only provide an innovative pathway to relieve intratumoral hypoxia,but also present potential applications in other oxygen-favored cancer therapies or oxygen deficiency-originated diseases.

Middle East respiratory syndrome coronavirus(MERS-CoV)is the causative agent of a severe respiratory disease with a high mortality of~35%.The lack of approved treatments for MERS-CoV infection underscores the need for a user-friendly system for rapid drug *** this study,we constructed a MERS-CoV replicon containing the Renilla luciferase(Rluc)reporter gene and a stable luciferase replicon-carrying cell *** this cell line,we showed that MERS-CoV replication was inhibited by combined application of lopinavir and ritonavir,indicating that this cell line can be used to screen inhibitors of MERS-CoV ***,the MERS-replicon cell line can be used for high-throughput screening of antiviral drugs without the need for live virus handling,providing an effective and safe tool for the discovery of antiviral drugs against MERS-CoV.

One step sintering of homogenized bauxite raw material and kinetic study

A one-step sintering process of bauxite raw material from direct mining was completed, and the kinetics of this process was analyzed thoroughly. The results show that the sintering kinetics of bauxite raw material exhibits the liquid-phase sintering behavior. A small portion of impurities existed in the raw material act as a liquid phase. After X-ray diffraction analyses, scanning electron microscopy observations, and kinetics calculations, sintering temperature and heating duration were determined as the two major factors contributing to the sintering process and densification of bauxite ore. An elevated heating temperature and longer duration favor the densification process. The major obstacle for the densification of bauxite material is attributed to the formation of the enclosed blowhole during liquid-phase sintering.
