Background:Hepatic Golgi protein-73(GP73)expression is related to hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)*** aim of this study was to investigate the dynamic expression of GP73 mRNA and protein during hepatocytes malignant ***:Human GP73 expressions in 88 HCC tissues and their self-control surrounding tissues were examined by immunohistochemistry,and survival time of HCC patients was evaluated by the Kaplan-Meier *** model of Sprague-Dawley rats was made by diet containing *** rats were divided into the control,hepatocyte degeneration,precanceration,and HCC groups to observe GP73 protein and mRNA alterations during hepatocytes malignant ***:The GP73 expression was significantly higher in the cancerous tissues than that in the surrounding tissues,with shorter survival time,and the positive rates of GP73 protein in human HCC tissues were 53.3%at stage I,84.0%at stage II,84.6%at stage III,and 60.0%at stage IV,*** positive rates of hepatic GP73 protein and mRNA in the rat models were none in the control group,66.7%and 44.4%in the hepatocytes degeneration group,88.9%and 77.8%in the hepatocytes precanceration group,and 100%in the HCC group,*** was a positive correlation(r=0.91,P<0.01)between hepatic GP73 and serum GP73 during rat hepatocytes malignant ***:Abnormal GP73 expression may be a sensitive and valuable biomarker in hepatocarcinogensis.

A Quantitative Evaluation of Vector Transcendental Functions on ARMv8-Based Processors

Transcendental functions are important functions in various high performance computing *** these functions are time-consuming and the vector units on modern processors become wider and more scalable,there is an increasing demand for developing and using vector transcendental functions in such performance-hungry ***,the performance of vector transcendental functions as well as their accuracy remain largely *** address this issue,we perform a comprehensive evaluation of two Single Instruction Multiple Data(SIMD)intrinsics based vector math libraries on two ARMv8 compatible *** first design dedicated microbenchmarks that help us understand the performance behavior of vector transcendental ***,we propose a piecewise,quantitative evaluation method with a set of meaningful metrics to quantify their performance and *** analyzing the experimental results,we find that vector transcendental functions achieve good performance speedups thanks to the vectorization and algorithm ***,vector math libraries can replace scalar math libraries in many cases because of improved performance and satisfactory *** this,the implementations of vector math libraries are still immature,which means further optimization is needed,and our evaluation reveals feasible optimization solutions for future vector math libraries.

City Size,Population Concentration and Productivity: Evidence from China

This paper investigates the impact of China's city size and urban population concentration on city productivity by developing a distinctive index based on global nighttime light *** the panel data of 280 prefecture cities from 2004 to 2013 and employing dynamic system generalized method of moments and panel threshold model regression techniques,our results show that city size has a positive impact on city productivity;therefore,cities in China still have the potential to *** moderate urban population concentration can benefit city productivity,excessively concentrated urban population distribution may impede the growth of city *** also find that the level of labor income significantly affects the impacts of urban agglomeration on labor ***,our results imply that city development policies should focus more on how to appropriately allocate economic activities and adjust population distribution in urban areas according to different stages of economic development.

In this paper, we develop a general framework for constructing higher-order, unconditionally energydecreasing exponential time differencing Runge-Kutta (ETDRK) methods applicable to a range of gradient ***, we identify conditions sufficient for ETDRK schemes to maintain the original energy dissipation. Our analysis reveals that the widely-employed third-and fourth-order ETDRK schemes fail to meet these *** address this, we introduce new third-order ETDRK schemes, designed with appropriate stabilization, which satisfy these conditions and thus guarantee the unconditional energy decay property. We conduct extensive numerical experiments with these new schemes to verify their accuracy, stability, behavior under large time steps, long-term evolution, and adaptive time-stepping strategy across various gradient flows. This study offers the first framework to examine the unconditional energy stability of high-order ETDRK methods, and we are optimistic that our framework will enable the development of ETDRK schemes beyond the third order that are unconditionally energy stable.

Design of a new type of mine rescue relay cabin

This paper presents the design of an innovative mine emergency rescue relay cabin, and investigates a detailed comparison of existing shelter facilities, their function, service object, structures, size, and system components with the newly designed mine emergency rescue relay cabin. Air-tightness test indicated a test chamber relief rate of 26 Pa/min, which meets the design requirements. Furthermore,respirator replacement test showed an average time of 73.7 s to replace a respirator. The air cover air supply test indicated an air supply rate of 220 L/min, which is sufficient for the staff replacing the respirator in the emergency rescue relay cabin. The total air supply volume is 9680 L, which can be supplied via two compressed air cylinders of 40 L, pressurized to15 MPa.

Research progress of aphid immunity system: Potential effective target for green pest management

Due to the absence of acquired immunity, insects primarily rely on their innate immune system to resist pathogenic microorganisms and parasitoids in natural habitats. This innate immune system can be classified into cellular immunity and humoral immunity. Cellular immunity is mediated by hemocytes, which perform phagocytosis, aggregation, and encapsulation to fight against invaders, whereas the humoral immunity primarily activates the immune signaling pathways and induces the generation of immune effectors. Existing studies have revealed that the hemipteran aphids lack some crucial immune genes compared to other insect species, indicating the different immune mechanisms in aphids. The current review summarizes the adverse impacts of pathogenic microorganisms and parasitoids on aphids, introduces the cellular and humoral immune systems in insects, and analyzes the differences between aphids and other insect species. Furthermore, our review also discussed the existing prospects and challenges in aphid immunity research, and proposed the potential application of immune genes in green pest management. Investigation of free amino acid, total phenolics,antioxidant activity and purine alkaloids to assess the health properties of non-Camellia tea

To find novel functional beverages from folk teas, 33 species of frequently used non-Camellia tea(plants other than Camellia) were collected and compared with Camellia tea(green tea, pu-erh tea and black tea) for the first time. Data are reported here on the quantities of 20 free amino acids(FAAs) and three purine alkaloids(measured by UHPLC), total polyphenols(measured by Folin-Ciocalteu assay), and antioxidant activity(DPPH). The total amounts of FAAs in non-Camellia tea(0.62–18.99 mg/g) are generally less than that of Camellia tea(16.55–24.99 mg/g). However, for certain FAAs, the quantities were much higher in some non-Camellia teas, such as γ-aminobutyric acid in teas from Ampelopsis grossedentata, Isodon serra and Hibiscus sabdariffa. Interestingly, theanine was detected in tea from Potentilla fruticosa(1.16±0.81 mg/g). Furthermore, the content of polyphenols in teas from A. grossedentata, Acer tataricum subsp. ginnala are significantly higher than those from Camellia tea;teas from I. serra, Pistacia chinensis and A. tataricum subsp. ginnala have remarkable antioxidant activities similar to the activities from green tea(44.23 μg/m L). Purine alkaloids(caffeine, theobromine and theophylline) were not detected in non-Camellia teas. The investigation suggest some non-Camellia teas may be great functional natural products with potential for prevention of chronic diseases and aging,by providing with abundant polyphenols, antioxidants and specific FAAs.
