Metal nanomaterials can facilitate microbial extracellular electron transfer(EET)in the electrochemically active ***,the role of nanomaterials/bacteria interaction in this process is still ***,we reported the single-cell voltammetric imaging of Shewanella oneidensis MR-1 at the single-cell level to elucidate the metal-enhanced EET mechanism in vivo by the Fermi level-responsive graphene *** oxidation currents of~20 fA were observed from single native cells and gold nanoparticle(AuNP)-coated cells in linear sweep voltammetry *** the contrary,the oxidation potential was reduced by up to 100 mV after AuNP *** revealed the mechanism of AuNP-catalyzed direct EET decreasing the oxidation barrier between the outer membrane cytochromes and the *** method offered a promising strategy to understand the nanomaterials/bacteria interaction and guide the rational construction of EET-related microbial fuel cells.

The sinking of diatoms is critic al to the formation of oceanic biological pumps and coastal hypoxic ***,little is known about the effects of different nutrient restrictions on diatom *** this study,we measured the sinking velocity(SV) of Thalassiosira weissflogii using a new phytoplankton video observation instrument and analyzed major biochemical components under varying nutrient *** results showed that the SV of *** under different nutrient limitation conditions varied *** highest SV of(1.77±0.02) m/d was obtained under nitrate limitation,signific antly surpassing that under phosphate limitation at(0.98±0.13) m/*** the nutrient limitation was released,the SV steadily decreased to(0.32±0.03) m/d and(0.15±0.05) m/d,***;under conditions with limited nitrate and phosphate concentrations,the SV values of *** significantly positively correlated with the lipid content(P <0.001),with R^(2) values of 0.86 and 0.69,*** change of the phytoplankton SV was primarily related to the intracellular compo sition,which is controlled by nutrient conditions but did not significantly correlate with transparent extracellular polymer and biosilica *** results of this study help to understand the regulation of the vertical sinking process of diatoms by nutrient restriction and provide new insights into phytoplankton dynamics and their relationship with the marine nutrient structure.

Covalent organic frameworks(COFs),a rapidly developing category of crystalline conjugated organic polymers,possess highly ordered structures,large specific surface areas,stable chemical properties,and tunable pore *** the first report of boroxine/boronate ester-linked COFs in 2005,COFs have rapidly gained popularity,showing important application prospects in various fields,such as sensing,catalysis,separation,and energy *** them,COFs-based electrochemical(EC)sensors with upgraded analytical performance are arousing extensive *** this review,therefore,we summarize the basic properties and the general synthesis methods of COFs used in the field of electroanalytical chemistry,with special emphasis on their usages in the fabrication of chemical sensors,ions sensors,immunosensors,and ***,the emerged COFs in the electrochemiluminescence(ECL)realm are thoroughly covered along with their preliminary ***,final conclusions on state-of-the-art COFs are provided in terms of EC and ECL sensors,as well as challenges and prospects for extending and improving the research and applications of COFs in electroanalytical chemistry.

Reversibly Tuning Electrochemiluminescence with Stimulated Emission Route for Single-Cell Imaging

Electrochemiluminescence (ECL) has established itself as an excellent transduction technique in biosensing and light-emitting device, while conventional ECL mechanism depending on spontaneous emission of luminophores lacks reversibility and tunable emission characters, limiting the universality of ECL technique in the fields of fundamental research and clinical applications. Here, we report the first observation of stimulated emission route in ECL and thus establish a reversible tuning ECL microscopy for single-cell imaging. This microscopy uses a focused red-shifted beam to transfer spontaneous ECL into stimulated ECL, which enables selective and reversible tuning of ECL emission from homogeneous solution, single particles, and single cells. After excluding other possible competitive routes, the stimulated ECL emission route is confirmed by a dual-objective system in which the suppressed spontaneous ECL is accompanied by the enhanced stimulated ECL. By incorporating a commercial donut-shaped beam, the sharpness of single-cell matrix adhesion is improved 2 to 3 times compared with the counterpart in confocal ECL mode. The successful establishment of this stimulated emission ECL will greatly advance the development of light-emitting device and super-resolution ECL microscopy.

The abused ciprofloxacin antibiotics have caused significant environmental *** oxidative degradation of ciprofloxacin exhibits promising efficacy,it often entails excessive energy ***,it is necessary to explore an effective and ecologically sustainable degradation ***,we demonstrated that g-C_(3)N_(4) decorated with the coordinated CeO_(2)and Co_(3)O_(4)(CeO_(2)-Co_(3)O_(4)/CN)exhibited effective ciprofloxacin photodegradation via in situ H_(2)O_(2) production and activation *** indicate that the introduced CeO_(2) enhances the transference of photogenerated electrons to O_(2) by adjusting the oxygen vacancy of photocatalyst,thereby increasing the generation of superoxide radicals,which in turn generate H_(2)O_(2),resulting in a 22.4-fold increase in H_(2)O_(2) generation over g-C_(3)N_(4).Moreover,the in situ H_(2)O_(2)generation facilitated by CeO_(2) is confirmed to be essential for ciprofloxacin degradation via CeO_(2)-Co_(3)O_(4)/CN,as it provides enough oxidant for Co_(3)O_(4) to activate into hydroxyl radicals for the pollutants ***,CeO_(2)-Co_(3)O_(4)/CN achieves a ciprofloxacin degradation ratio of 97.7%within 80 *** study introduces a novel approach that combines H_(2)O_(2) generation and activation,offering an innovative perspective for achieving clean and efficient purification of antibiotic-contaminated water.

The high-intensity heavy-ion accelerator facility(HIAF)is a scientific research facility complex composed of multiple cas-cade accelerators of different types,which pose a scheduling problem for devices distributed over a certain range of 2 km,involving over a hundred *** white rabbit,a technology-enhancing Gigabit Ethernet,has shown the capability of scheduling distributed timing devices but still faces the challenge of obtaining real-time synchronization calibration param-eters with high *** study presents a calibration system based on a time-to-digital converter implemented on an ARM-based System-on-Chip(SoC).The system consists of four multi-sample delay lines,a bubble-proof encoder,an edge controller for managing data from different channels,and a highly effective calibration module that benefits from the SoC *** performance was evaluated with an average RMS precision of 5.51 ps by measuring the time intervals from 0 to 24,000 ps with 120,000 data for every *** design presented in this study refines the calibration precision of the HIAF timing *** eliminates the errors caused by manual calibration without efficiency loss and provides data support for fault *** can also be easily tailored or ported to other devices for specific applications and provides more space for developing timing systems for particle accelerators,such as white rabbits on HIAF.
