A harmonic-wave bio-thermal method for continuous monitoring skin thermal conductivity and capillary perfusion rate

Micro segment analysis of supercritical methane thermal-hydraulic performance and pseudo-boiling in a PCHE straight channel

The printed circuit heat exchanger(PCHE) is receiving wide attention as a new kind of compact heat exchanger and is considered as a promising vaporizer in the LNG process. In this paper, a PCHE straight channel in the length of 500 mm is established, with a semicircular cross section in a diameter of 1.2 *** simulation is employed to investigate the flow and heat transfer performance of supercritical methane in the channel. The pseudo-boiling theory is adopted and the liquid-like, two-phase-like, and vapor-like regimes are divided for supercritical methane to analyze the heat transfer and flow *** results are presented in micro segment to show the local convective heat transfer coefficient and pressure drop. It shows that the convective heat transfer coefficient in segments along the channel has a significant peak feature near the pseudo-critical point and a heat transfer deterioration when the average fluid temperature in the segment is higher than the pseudo-critical point. The reason is explained with the generation of vapor-like film near the channel wall that the peak feature related to a nucleateboiling-like state and heat transfer deterioration related to a film-boiling-like state. The effects of parameters, including mass flow rate, pressure, and wall heat flux on flow and heat transfer were *** calculating of the averaged heat transfer coefficient of the whole channel, the traditional method shows significant deviation and the micro segment weighted average method is adopted. The pressure drop can mainly be affected by the mass flux and pressure and little affected by the wall heat flux. The peak of the convective heat transfer coefficient can only form at high mass flux, low wall heat flux, and near critical pressure, in which condition the nucleate-boiling-like state is easier to appear. ●AIM:To investigate a pioneering framework for the segmentation of meibomian glands(MGs),using limited annotations to reduce the workload on ophthalmologists and enhance the efficiency of clinical diagnosis.●METHODS:Totally 203 infrared meibomian images from 138 patients with dry eye disease,accompanied by corresponding annotations,were gathered for the study.A rectified scribble-supervised gland segmentation(RSSGS)model,incorporating temporal ensemble prediction,uncertainty estimation,and a transformation equivariance constraint,was introduced to address constraints imposed by limited supervision information inherent in scribble *** viability and efficacy of the proposed model were assessed based on accuracy,intersection over union(IoU),and dice coefficient.●RESULTS:Using manual labels as the gold standard,RSSGS demonstrated outcomes with an accuracy of 93.54%,a dice coefficient of 78.02%,and an IoU of 64.18%.Notably,these performance metrics exceed the current weakly supervised state-of-the-art methods by 0.76%,2.06%,and 2.69%,***,despite achieving a substantial 80%reduction in annotation costs,it only lags behind fully annotated methods by 0.72%,1.51%,and 2.04%.●CONCLUSION:An innovative automatic segmentation model is developed for MGs in infrared eyelid images,using scribble annotation for *** model maintains an exceptionally high level of segmentation accuracy while substantially reducing training *** holds substantial utility for calculating clinical parameters,thereby greatly enhancing the diagnostic efficiency of ophthalmologists in evaluating meibomian gland dysfunction.

Endoscopic detection and diagnostic strategies for minute gastric cancer:A real-world observational study

Chlorantraniliprole exposure aggravates high-fat diet-induced metabolic disorders in mice by regulating gut microbiota and its metabolites

Food contaminants， particularly insecticides， are important factors contributing to obesity and other adverse effects. As the most widely used diamide insecticide worldwide， chlorantraniliprole (CP) is ubiquitous in food and the environment. However， the influence of CP on obesity and the gut microbiota remains unknown. In this study， we administered CP/carboxymethyl cellulose sodium to C57BL/6J mice with a high-fat diet (HFD) via gavage for 13 weeks. The CP exposure induced significant increases in body weight gain， fat mass， serum total cholesterol (TC)， and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C). Moreover， CP aggravated the imbalance in the gut microbiota by increasing the relative abundance of obesity-associated bacteria and reducing the relative abundance of beneficial bacteria. Based on untargeted metabolomics analysis， CP was found to be involved in the regulation of pathways including ‘alanine， aspartate and glutamate metabolism’ and ‘arginine and proline metabolism’. Notably， CP exposure primarily induced alterations in microbial metabolites within these pathways， such as L-(+)-aspartic acid and L-glutamic acid. Additionally， individual metabolites， such as the lipid mediator (oleoyl ethanolamide)， also demonstrated alterations upon CP exposure. Furthermore， Spearman correlation analysis revealed several noteworthy associations between microbial alterations， metabolite changes， and phenotypes. The results of the study demonstrate a connection between microbiota， metabolites， and the effects of CP exposure on HFD-induced obesity， elucidating the critical role of the gut microbiota and its metabolites in the toxic effects of CP.

Objective:To confirm the efficacy and safety of Ganyushu Granule(GYSG)in treating premenstrual syndrome(PMS)in patients with Gan(Liver)depression and qi stagnation syndrome(GDQSS)and determine its effective ***:From June 2018 to March 2021,a total of 240 PMS women with GDQSS were included and randomly divided into 3 groups in a 1:1:1 ratio using central block randomization:high-dose GYSG group(n=78,GYSG 2 packs/time),low-dose GYSG group(n=82,GYSG and its simulant 1 pack/time),and placebo group(n=80,GYSG simulant 2 packs/time).Treatment with GYSG or placebo was given thrice daily and for up to 3 menstrual *** outcomes were PMS diary(PMSD)score and premenstrual tension syndrome self-rating scale(PMTS).Secondary outcomes were Chinese medicine(CM)syndrome ***,PMTS,and efficacy of CM were evaluated with menstrual cycles during the treatment *** indicators were analyzed after each menstrual *** analyses were performed using an intention-to-treat method,and clinical safety was ***:Of the 216 patients included in the effectiveness analysis,70,75,and 71 patients were in the high-,low-dose GYSG,and placebo groups,*** the 2nd treatment cycle,the change in PMSD scores in the high-and low-dose groups was lower than that in the placebo group(P<0.05).PMTS scores in the high-dose GYSG group after the 1st treatment cycle was lower than that in the placebo group(P<0.05),while after the 3rd treatment cycle,that in the low-dose group was lower than that in the placebo group(P<0.05).After the 2nd treatment cycle,the high-dose GYSG group had the best CM syndrome efficacy(P<0.05).No serious adverse reactions were ***:GYSG was safe and well-tolerated at both doses for treating PMS patients with ***-dose GYSG might be the optimal dose for a phaseⅢtrial.
