High-grade squamous intraepithelial lesion(HSIL)is regarded as a serious precancerous state of cervix,and it is easy to progress into cervical invasive carcinoma which highlights the importance of earlier diagnosis and treatment of cervical lesions.Pathologists examine the biopsied cervical epithelial tissue through a microscope.The pathological examination will take a long time and sometimes results in high inter-and intra-observer variability in outcomes.Polarization imaging techniques have broad application prospects for biomedical diagnosis such as breast,liver,colon,thyroid and so on.In our team,we have derived polarimetry feature parameters(PFPs)to characterize microstructural features in histological sections of breast tissues,and the accuracy for PFPs ranges from 0.82 to 0.91.Therefore,the aim of this paper is to distinguish automatically microstructural features between HSIL and cervical squamous cell carcinoma(CSCC)by means of polarization imaging techniques,and try to provide quantitative reference index for patho-logical diagnosis which can alleviate the workload of pathologists.Polarization images of the H&E stained histological slices were obtained by Mueller matrix microscope.The typical path-ological structure area was labeled by two experienced pathologists.Calculate the polarimetry basis parameter(PBP)statistics for this region.The PBP statistics(stat PBPs)are screened by mutual information(MI)method.The training method is based on a linear discriminant analysis(LDA)classier whichnds the most simplied linear combination from these stat PBPs and the accuracy remains constant to characterize the specic microstructural feature quantitatively in cervical squamous epithelium.We present results from 37 clinical patients with analysis regions of cervical squamous epithelium.The accuracy of PFP for recognizing HSIL and CSCC was 83.8%and 87.5%,respectively.This work demonstrates the ability of PFP to quantitatively charac-terize the cervical squamous epithelial lesions in the H&E pathological sections.Si

Reduction of High-frequency Vibration Noise for Dual-branch Three-phase Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors

Two-level voltage source inverters with pulse width modulation(PWM)generate multiple carrier harmonics,thereby exciting high-frequency noise from the motor.Based on a special dual-branch three-phase permanent magnet synchronous motor(PMSM),a method that utilizes a known modified space vector PWM technique is proposed.This method is able to suppress unpleasant high-frequency vibration noise as well as acoustic noise more effectively than other methods.Vibration noise near the twice carrier frequency is eliminated,and PWM vibration noise around the carrier frequency is also reduced.In particular,vibration and acoustic noise at the twice carrier frequency are eliminated using a carrier phase-shift of 0.5πand the special winding structure of the dual-branch PMSM.The effectiveness of the proposed method is confirmed using detailed experimental results.

Permanent Magnet Shape Optimization Method for PMSM Air Gap Flux Density Harmonics Reduction

This paper proposed a permanent magnet optimization method to suppress the air gap flux density harmonic of permanent magnet synchronous motor(PMSM).The method corrected the effective air gap length of the motor,calculated the magnetization length of the permanent in the case of parallel magnetization,and took the influence of the permanent magnet relative permeability into consideration.Based on these works,for a given sinusoidal air gap flux density waveform,the corresponding structural parameters can be calculated,so as to achieve the optimization of the permanent magnet.By using this method to optimize the shape of the magnet,the fundamental wave of the air gap flux density can be retained to the greatest extent,so as to eliminate harmonics and maintain the output capacity at the same time.The feasibility and accuracy of the method have been verified by finite element analysis(FEA)and prototype machine experiment.This method is simple and time-saving,and has a satisfactory accuracy,which provides a reference method for permanent magnet optimization of PMSM.

双三相同步磁阻电机(dual three-phase synchronous reluctance motor,DTP-SynRM)转子不含永磁体,没有高温退磁风险,成本较低,且由于其系统自由度高、冗余性强,因此具有较好的容错性能。开路故障是双三相同步磁阻电机系统中最常见的故障类型之一,该文针对一种两套三相绕组中性点相互独立的双三相同步磁阻电机单相开路故障,建立DTP-SynRM矢量空间解耦模型,实现对电压、电流和磁链方程的完全解耦。在开路故障状态下仍将其视为一个正常的双三相电机,分析故障状态对电机的电流约束和信号传递的影响,并指出在开路故障下z2轴电流与β轴电流不再独立,电机由正常运行时的四阶系统降阶为三阶系统,而由于开路故障导致的电压信号传递不准确则会在dq坐标系中引入二次谐波电流,并产生二次和四次转矩波动。该文提出一种同时考虑电流约束和信号传递误差的故障容错方法,电机处于三闭环运行状态,补偿电压信号传递误差,抑制开路故障时电机的转矩波动并降低电流谐波。搭建实验平台进行实验,验证所提容错方法的有效性和可行性。

Design and Optimization of Line-Start Rare-Earth Permanent Magnetic Synchronous Motor Basing on FEM

The 2D transient FEM was used to analyze the starting process of the three phase rare-earth LS-PMSM.By verifying the simulation result with the experiment one, we get the conclusion that it is consistent with the experiment result very well.At the same time, by analyzing the situation of the magnetic bridge, we also get the result that the amplitude of EMF waves are changing with the situation of the magnetic poles and we can optimize the motor's structure at the same time.

The sudden onset of the coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)in January 2020 has affected essential global health services.Cancer-screening services that can reduce cancer mortality are strongly affected.However,the specific role of COVID-19 in cancer screening is not fully understood.This study aimed to assess the efficiency of global cancer screening programs before and during the COVID-19 pandemic and to promote potential cancer-screening strategies for the next pandemic.Electronic searches in PubMed,Embase,and Web of Science,and manual searches were performed between January 1,2020 and March 1,2023.Cohort studies that reported the number of participants who underwent cancer screening before and during the COVID-19 pandemic were included.The methodological quality of the included studies was assessed using the Newcastle-Ottawa Scale.Differences in cancer-screening rates were estimated using the incidence rate ratio(IRR).Fifty-five cohort studies were included in this meta-analysis.The screening rates of colorectal cancer using invasive screening methods(Pooled IRR=0.52,95%CI:0.42 to 0.65,p<0.01),cervical cancer(Pooled IRR=0.56,95%CI:0.47 to 0.67,p<0.01),breast cancer(Pooled IRR=0.57,95%CI:0.49 to 0.66,p<0.01)and prostate cancer(Pooled IRR=0.71,95%CI:0.56 to 0.90,p<0.01)during the COVID-19 pandemic were significantly lower than those before the COVID-19 pandemic.The screening rates of lung cancer(Pooled IRR=0.77,95%CI:0.58 to 1.03,p=0.08)and colorectal cancer using noninvasive screening methods(Pooled IRR=0.74,95%CI:0.50 to 1.09,p=0.13)were reduced with no statistical differences.The subgroup analyses revealed that the reduction in cancer-screening rates varied across economies.Our results suggest that the COVID-19 pandemic has had a noteworthy impact on colorectal,cervical,breast,and prostate cancer screening.Developing innovative cancer-screening technologies is important to promote the efficiency of cancer-screening services in the post-COVID-19 era and prepare for the next pandemic.

在永磁同步电机(permanent magnet synchronous motor,PMSM)无位置传感器控制中,得到反电动势或磁链等信息后,为避免微分计算的噪声,可使用锁相环(phase locked loop,PLL)方法获取转速。为提升转速估计的动态性能,该文提出考虑动态过程的基于扩张状态观测器(extended state observer,ESO)的高阶PLL。以反正切运算与PLL估计角度之差作为鉴相器(phase detector,PD),ESO取代PI环节,作为环路滤波器(loop filter,LF),ESO中角度估计环节作为压控振荡器(voltage-controlled oscillator,VCO)。该方法易于实现,且不使用机械参数。研究结果表明:提出的ESO-PLL方法能够稳定运行,且动态性能优于传统PLL方法。

Controlled release of dexamethasone from fibrin sealant for intratympanic administration in inner ear therapy

The aim of the present work was to show the sustainability of fibrin sealant in releasing dexamethasone and adjust the protocol for clinical application of the novel method in the treatment of Meniere’s disease (MD) and sudden sensorineural hearing loss (SSHL).Gelation occurred shortly after mixing dexamethasone-containing fibrinogen with thrombin.Dexamethasone was constantly released for at least 16 d at a stable level after 7d in protocol 1 (low-dose),while it was robustly released within 4 d and slowed afterward until 10 d in protocol 2(high-dose).There were significant differences among the time points in Protocol 2 (p<0.01,ANOVA),and the exponential model with the formula y=15.299*e~(-0.483*t) fits the association.The estimated concentration of dexamethasone released on 7 d in protocol 2 was slightly lower than that observed in protocol 1.The fibrin sealant is capable of constantly releasing dexamethasone with adjustable dynamics.Targeted and minimally invasive administration of the material can be achieved in the clinic by sequential injections of the fluids using a soft-tipped catheter.

Security-Reliability Tradeoff Analysis for Jamming Aided Decode-and-Forward Relay Networks

In this paper,we explore a cooperative decode-and-forward(DF)relay network comprised of a source,a relay,and a destination in the presence of an eavesdropper.To improve physical-layer security of the relay system,we propose a jamming aided decodeand-forward relay(JDFR)scheme combining the use of artificial noise and DF relaying which requires two stages to transmit a packet.Specifically,in stage one,the source sends confidential message to the relay while the destination acts as a friendly jammer and transmits artificial noise to confound the eavesdropper.In stage two,the relay forwards its re-encoded message to the destination while the source emits artificial noise to confuse the eavesdropper.In addition,we analyze the security-reliability tradeoff(SRT)performance of the proposed JDFR scheme,where security and reliability are evaluated by deriving intercept probability(IP)and outage probability(OP),respectively.For the purpose of comparison,SRT of the traditional decode-and-forward relay(TDFR)scheme is also analyzed.Numerical results show that the SRT performance of the proposed JDFR scheme is better than that of the TDFR scheme.Also,it is shown that for the JDFR scheme,a better SRT performance can be obtained by the optimal power allocation(OPA)between the friendly jammer and user.
