Heterojunction construction,especially S-scheme heterojunction,represents an efficient universal strategy to achieve high-performance photocatalytic materials.For further performance stimulation of these well-designed heterojunctions,modulating the interfacial internal electric field(IEF)to steer dynamic charge transfer represents a promising approach.Herein,we realized the precise regulation of Fermi level(E_(F))of the oxidation semiconductor(mesoporous WO_(3-x))by tailoring the concentration of oxygen vacancies(V_(O)),maximizing the IEF intensity in Cs_(2)CuBr_(4)@WO_(3-x)(CCB@WO_(3-x))S-scheme heterojunction.The augmented IEF affords a robust driving force for directional electron delivery,leading to boosted charge separation.Hence,the developed CCB@WO_(3-x)S-scheme heterojunction demonstrated outstanding photocatalytic CO_(2)reduction performance,with the electron consumption rate(Relectron)up to 390.34μmol g^(-1)h^(-1),which is 3.28 folds higher than that of pure CCB.An in-depth analysis of the S-scheme electron transfer mode was presented via theoretical investigations,electron spin resonance(ESR),photo-irradiated Kelvin probe force microscopy(KPFM),and in-situ X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS).Finally,the CO_(2)photoconversion route was explored in detail using in-situ diffuse reflectance infrared Fourier transform spectroscopy(DRIFTS)and DFT theoretical calculations.

Graphene has been extensively utilized in the domain of electromagnetic wave(EMW)absorption ma-terials because of its excellent electrical conductivity.However,the inferior impedance matching per-formance and the single loss mechanism vastly restrict the application.Hence,it’s an effective strat-egy to solve these issues by introducing magnetic components.Notably,layer double hydroxide(LDH)is an appropriate template to obtain magnetic component materials.Considering that ferromagnetic met-als such as Fe,Co,Ni,and their corresponding metal oxides are usually treated as magnetic compo-nents which are promising candidates for EMW absorption materials.Therefore,in this work,a FeNi-layered double hydroxide-reduced graphene oxide(FeNi-LDH-rGO)aerogel was synthesized through a series of processes such as electrostatic self-assembly,hydrothermal,freeze-drying,and annealing.The magnetic NiFe_(2)O_(4)@FeNi_(3)core-shell nanospheres were obtained from FeNi-LDH precursor,anchoring on rGO nanosheets after the annealing treatment.Furthermore,the effects of different mass ratios of LDH to GO as well as different annealing temperatures of LDH-rGO aerogel on the EMW absorption prop-erty and impedance matching performance were explored.As a consequence,the fabricated ultralight 600LDH-rGO 2:1 aerogel shows a broad effective absorption bandwidth(EAB)of 7.04 GHz at a thickness of 2.3 mm with a low filling content of only 6 wt%and a low density of 4.4 mg/cm^(3).In conclusion,the synthetic LDH-rGO aerogels offer an effective strategy for preparing EMW absorption materials that own three-dimensional porous network structure and unique magnetic NiFe_(2)O_(4)@FeNi_(3)core-shell struc-ture nanospheres.

Objective: Plant-based diets have multiple health benefits for cancers;however, little is known about the association between plant-based dietary patterns and esophageal cancer(EC).This study presents an investigation of the prospective associations among three predefined indices of plant-based dietary patterns and the risk of EC.Methods: We performed endoscopic screening for 15,709 participants aged 40-69 years from two high-risk areas of China from January 2005 to December 2009 and followed the cohort until December 31, 2022. The overall plant-based diet index(PDI), healthful plant-based diet index(h PDI), and unhealthful plant-based diet index(u PDI), were calculated using survey responses to assess dietary patterns. We applied Cox proportional hazard regression to estimate the multivariable hazard ratios(HRs) and 95% confidence intervals(95% CIs) of EC across 3plant-based diet indices and further stratified the analysis by subgroups.Results: The final study sample included 15,184 participants in the cohort. During a follow-up of 219,365person-years, 176 patients with EC were identified. When the highest quartile was compared with the lowest quartile, the pooled multivariable-adjusted HR of EC was 0.50(95% CI, 0.32-0.77) for h PDI. In addition, the HR per 10-point increase in the h PDI score was 0.42(95% CI, 0.27-0.66) for ECs. Conversely, u PDI was positively associated with the risk of EC, and the HR was 1.80(95% CI, 1.16-2.82). The HR per 10-point increase in the u PDI score was 1.90(95% CI, 1.26-2.88) for ECs. The associations between these scores and the risk of EC were consistent in most subgroups. These results remained robust in sensitivity analyses.Conclusions: A healthy plant-based dietary pattern was associated with a reduced risk of EC. Emphasizing the healthiness and quality of plant-based diets may be important for preventing the development of EC.

Effect of loading rate on shear strength parameters of mechanically and biologically treated waste

Mechanical biological treatment(MBT)technology has attracted increasing attention because it can reduce the volume of waste produced.To deal with the current trend of increasing waste,MBT practices are being adopted to address waste generated in developing urban societies.In this study,a total of 20 specimens of consolidated undrained triaxial tests were conducted on waste obtained from the Hangzhou Tianziling landfill,China,to evaluate the effect of loading rate on the shear strength parameters of MBT waste.The MBT waste samples exhibited an evident strain-hardening behavior,and no peak was observed even when the axial strain exceeded 25%.Further,the shear strength increased with an increase in the loading rate;the effect of loading rate on shear strength under a low confining pressure was greater than that under a high confining pressure.Furthermore,the shear strength parameters of MBT waste were related to the loading rate.The relationship between the cohesion,internal friction angle,and logarithm of the loading rate could be fitted to a linear relationship,which was established in this study.Finally,the ranges of shear strength parameters cohesion c and effective cohesion c′were determined as 1.0–8.2 kPa and 2.1–14.9 kPa,respectively;the ranges of the internal friction angleφand effective internal friction angleφ’were determined as 16.2°–29°and 19.8°–43.9°,respectively.These results could be used as a valuable reference for conducting stability analyses of MBT landfills.

Thermal alkaline hydrolysis is a common pretreatment method for the utilization of excess activated sludge(EAS).Owing to strict environment laws and need for better energy utilization,new methods were developed in this study to improve the efficiency of pretreatment method.Direct thermal hydrolysis(TH),pasteurized thermal hydrolysis(PTH),and alkaline pasteurized thermal hydrolysis(PTH+CaO and PTH+NaOH)methods were used to treat EAS.Each method was compared and analyzed in terms of dissolution in ammonium nitrogen(NH_(4)^(+)-N)and soluble COD(SCOD)in EAS.Furthermore,the removal of tetracycline resistance genes(TRGs)and class 1 transposon gene intI1 from EAS was investigated.The NH_(4)^(+)-N and SCOD concentrations in EAS treated by PTH were 1.24 and 2.58 times higher than those of TH.However,the removal efficiency of total TRGs and intI1 between the groups was comparable.The SCOD concentration of the PTH+NaOH group was 4.37 times higher than that of the PTH group,and the removal efficiency of total TRGs was increased by 9.52%compared with that by PTH.The NH_(4)^(+)-N and SCOD concentrations of the PTH+CaO group could reach 85.04%and 92.14%of the PTH+NaOH group,but the removal efficiency of total TRGs by PTH+CaO was 19.78%lower than that by PTH+NaOH.Thus,to reduce the financial cost in actual operation,lime(CaO)can be used instead of a strong alkali(NaOH),and pasteurized steam at 70℃ instead of conventional high-temperature heating to treat EAS.This study provides a reference for the development of alkaline hydrolysis under moderate temperatures along with the removal of TRGs in EAS.

A systematic review and meta-analysis study was conducted to assess the effectiveness of probiotic/prebiotic/synbiotic supplementation on the effects of cardiovascular risk factors in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) based on data from randomized controlled trials (RCTs). We searched electronic databases including PubMed， Cochrane Library， Embase， and Web of Science to identify clinical trials published up to 31 March 2023. Data was pooled using a random-effects model if significant heterogeneity (I2> 50%)， otherwise use a fixed-effects model. Fifty-six trials that included 3 317 patients were enrolled for analysis. Meta-analysis reported that probiotic/prebiotic/synbiotic supplementation significantly reduced systolic blood pressure (SBP) (weighted mean difference (WMD): -3.57 mmHg， 95% confidence interval (CI): -5.36， -1.78; P = 0.000)， diastolic blood pressure (DBP) (WMD: -2.05 mmHg， 95% CI: -3.07， -1.04; P = 0.000)， triglycerides (TG) (WMD: -16.10 mg/dL， 95% CI: -20.16， -12.05; P = 0.000)， total cholesterol (TC) (WMD: -14.00 mg/dL， 95% CI: -20.46， -7.55; P = 0.000)， low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) (WMD: -7.03 mg/dL， 95% CI: -9.25， -4.81; P = 0.000)， fasting plasma glucose (FPG) (WMD: -16.57 mg/dL， 95% CI: -20.39， -12.74; P = 0.000)， hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c) (WMD: -0.44%， 95% CI: -0.68， -0.20; P = 0.000)， insulin (standardized mean difference (SMD): -0.37， 95% CI: -0.53， -0.21; P = 0.000)， homeostatic model assessment of insulin resistance (HOMA-IR) (WMD: -1.05， 95% CI: -1.56， -0.54; P = 0.000)， C-reactive protein (CRP) (SMD: -0.35， 95% CI: -0.57， -0.13; P = 0.002)， tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) (SMD: -1.07， 95% CI: -1.57， -0.56; P = 0.000)， interleukin-6 (IL-6) (SMD: -0.37 ， 95% CI: -0.61， -0.13; P = 0.003) levels， they also increased the high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) (WMD: 3.70 mg/dL， 95% CI: 1.80， 5.60; P = 0.000) levels in T2DM patients， as compared to the placebo groups. The Yangtze River(YR), similar to most large rivers in the world, has experienced significant changes in its depositional environment due to anthropogenic disturbances and climatic influences in recent decades. However, knowledge of how the river channel and bed deformation respond to these changes in the uppermost part of the lower YR, a 200-km-long branched channel, is limited. In the current study,historical bathymetric data collected from 1992 to 2013 and high-resolution multibeam echo sounder(MBES) data obtained from 2015 to 2016 were analyzed to address the changes in the depositional environment. The results indicate that the whole riverbed in the Hukou to Datong reach(HDR) has been scouring over the past two decades and this trend is expected to continue in the future due to decreasing sediment supply from the upper watershed. The amount of net erosion from the HDR during 1992-2013approximately accounted for 7.2% of total sediment load in the Yangtze River(5.02 billion metric tons at Datong). The evolution of the riverbed is trending towards stabilization even though the patterns of erosion and/or deposition in the HDR have dramatically changed in the last two decades. The part of the channel from the upper 100 km to Datong was found to be a sensitive reach that first showed erosion from 1992 to 2003 and showed deposition during 2003-2008, and then mild erosion during 2008-2013in response to environmental changes. Thus, the findings indicate that riverine channel deformation in response to anthropogenic disturbance and climate influence is dynamic in different reaches, and this finding has both scientific and practical significance in terms of understanding channel stability and its response to external stressors.

短命植物是温带荒漠的重要植物类群,对其生长、生殖和资源配置的研究有助于深入了解短命植物的生存策略。本研究以分布于准噶尔荒漠的1年生短命植物二裂婆婆纳(Veronica biloba L.)为对象,对其物候特征、生长动态、种子输出进行研究。结果表明:(1)二裂婆婆纳3月19日出苗,在幼苗四叶期(32 d)进入生殖生长,发育节律快,生活周期短,仅62 d。(2)子叶于盛果期枯黄脱落,生存时间49 d;根长在苗期生长较快,进入生殖期停止伸长,根系浅;随着植物由营养生长进入生殖生长,地上生物量呈现快速增加的趋势,地下生物量增加缓慢;根冠比由苗期的3.1下降为果熟期的0.091。(3)同一种群植物体生物量大小变化幅度大(0.0126~0.2269 g),变异系数为0.8;繁殖器官与营养器官生物量、地下生物量与总生物量之间为幂函数异速生长关系;随着植株总生物量的增加,根冠比呈线性降低,种子生物量呈线性增加,但繁殖分配比例差异不显著,维持在相对稳定水平(30.7%)。二裂婆婆纳的资源配置策略使不同大小个体的植株都能保持稳定比例的种子输出,对维持种群的更新与繁衍具有重要的生态意义。

The electrical conductivity of REF3-LiF(RE=La and Nd) molten salts(xREF3=5 mol%-40 mol%) was systematically measured over the temperature range from 1223 to 1423 K by using continuously varying cell constant(CVCC) method.Electrical conductivity values of LaF3-LiF and NdF3-LiF molten salts within the studied ranges are 4.11-9.39 and 3.62-9.51 S/cm,respectively.The composition and temperature dependences of electrical conductivity and the factor of RE2 O3 on electrical conductivity were investigated.The electrical conductivity nonlinearly decreases with the increasing mole percent of REF3 for the changing of structural ion in molten salts.A good linear relationship between the natural logarithm of electrical conductivity(lnκ) and the reciprocal of the absolute temperature(T-1) can be interpreted by the trend that electrical conductivity linearly increases with increasing temperature.Although it is an important factor of RE2 O3 on electrical conductivity,the influence of RE2 O3 on conductivity is small for the very limited solubility of RE2 O3 in REF3-LiF molten salts.The results of this work supplement the present electrical conductivity data of rare earth fluoride electrolyte.
