Both ultra-reliable low latency and high-data-rate communications are required by connective vehicles. Millimeter wave(mm Wave) with large bandwidth is a key technology to support high-data-rate communications. In this paper, the 28 GHz wideband vehicle-to-infrastructure channel is characterized for the urban environment in a major street in Manhattan. The deployment of the transmitter and the receiver, as well as the traffic models, are selected by considering the recommendation by 3GPP TR 37.885. Ray tracing simulator with calibrated electromagnetic parameters is employed in this work to practically conduct intensive simulations. The 3D environment model is reconstructed from OpenStreetMap. The power delay profile, path loss, root-meansquare delay spread, K-factor and so on, are extracted from the calibrated simulation results. The evolution of the parameters, as well as their statistical properties, are analyzed and modeled. The work of this paper helps the researchers understand the propagation channel for designing mmWave technologies and communication system in a similar scenario.

Organic mulch can improve the moisture,chemical composition,dust,and dust suppression of soil,and beautify the *** view of the rapid evaporation rate and serious loss of soil water in tropical areas,this paper explored the effect of organic mulch materials with different thickness on the increase of soil water retention rate and the improvement of soil water loss caused by *** sawdust(RWS),rubberwood bark(RWB),coconut fiber(CF),and Mulch(MC)were selected as the mulching *** experiment and laboratory experiment were performed,and soil-moisture content and temperature were continuously ***,from the daily measurement of water content at constant conditions(29℃±0.2℃,74%±1%air RH)in the laboratory experiment,the results of variance analysis(ANOVA)showed that there was no significant difference between the soil-water content of covered samples and bare soil(P>0.05).In the field experiments,the analysis of variance indicated significant differences in the soil-moisture content owing to the effect of the covering material(P<0.01).Mulching increased the soil-moisture content with smaller fluctuations in the deep soil compared with bare *** most stable soil-moisture content were achieved by RWS,RWB,CF,and MC,with thicknesses of 5,3,7,and 5 cm,respectively,compared with bare soil,and the average water contents of the 0-40 cm soil layer was 0.58%,0.01%,0.82%,and 0.93%,***,the intensity of the change in soil moisture decreased gradually with increasing depth,and was more stable than that of bare soil and other *** them,the difference in water content between the adjacent gradient soil layers(the soil layers are graded every 10 cm in depth)M_(3-7)(0.011±0.004)was the *** can be concluded that CF mulching materials with a thickness of 7 cm would be preferable when selecting mulching materials for controlling soil moisture in tropical cities.

Since cancer stem cells(CSCs)were first identified in leukemia in 1994,they have been considered promising therapeutic targets for cancer *** cells have self-renewal capacity and differentiation potential and contribute to multiple tumor malignancies,such as recurrence,metastasis,heterogeneity,multidrug resistance,and radiation *** biological activities of CSCs are regulated by several pluripotent transcription factors,such as OCT4,Sox2,Nanog,KLF4,and *** addition,many intracellular signaling pathways,such as Wnt,NF-κB(nuclear factor-κB),Notch,Hedgehog,JAK-STAT(Janus kinase/signal transducers and activators of transcription),PI3K/AKT/mTOR(phosphoinositide 3-kinase/AKT/mammalian target of rapamycin),TGF(transforming growth factor)/SMAD,and PPAR(peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor),as well as extracellular factors,such as vascular niches,hypoxia,tumor-associated macrophages,cancer-associated fibroblasts,cancer-associated mesenchymal stem cells,extracellular matrix,and exosomes,have been shown to be very important regulators of ***,vaccines,antibodies,and CAR-T(chimeric antigen receptor T cell)cells have been developed to specifically target CSCs,and some of these factors are already undergoing clinical *** review summarizes the characterization and identification of CSCs,depicts major factors and pathways that regulate CSC development,and discusses potential targeted therapy for CSCs.

This paper provides an analytical framework for the outage probability evaluation of dual-hop decode-and-forward relay systems operating over K-μfading channels in the presence of co-channel interference. The interferers are independent non-identically distributed K-μfading. An accurate analytical-form expression for the cumulative distribution function of the received signal power to interference and noise ratio is derived. Various numerical results are compared with Monte Carlo simulation results in order to corroborate the accuracy of the proposed expressions. Our results show that increasing the value of kappa of main links will decrease the outage probability of relay systems. Furthermore, the system performance degrades with the number of interferences.

Highly active and durable oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)catalysts with sufficient activity and stability of Pt are beneficial for the commercialization of proton exchange membrane fuel *** we report an effective approach to prepare a composite catalyst comprising of ordered L1_(2)-Pt_(3)Fe intermetallic nanoparticles interact with single atom Fe-N_(x)-C_(y)active *** addition of Fe and the confinement effect of hierarchical porous structure limit the growth of intermetallic particle size(around2.5 nm).The ligand effect of the electron transfer from Fe to Pt and the synergistic interaction between L1_(2)-Pt_(3)Fe and Fe-N_(x)-C_(y)work together to reduce oxygen intermediates adsorption and improve kinetics ***,the L1_(2)-Pt_(3)Fe/C_(Fe-N-C)catalyst shows high mass activity and specific activity at 1.010 A/mg_(Pt)and 1.166 mA/cm^(2),respectively,which are 5.8 and 5.1 times higher than those of commercial Pt/C(0.174 A/mg_(Pt)and 0.230mA/cm^(2)).Thanks to the more stable L1_(2)structure,L1_(2)-Pt_(3)Fe/C_(Fe-N-C)exhibits better durability(14mV E_(1/2)loss of L1_(2)-Pt_(3)Fe/C_(Fe-N-C)and 33 mV E_(1/2)loss of commercial Pt/C)after 30,000 cycles accelerated stress *** strategy to design and prepare small particle Pt-based intermetallic alloys coordinated with M-N-C active sites provides a new direction to obtain low-cost and easily prepared effective ORR catalysts.

STAT3-Decoy ODN Inhibits Cytokine Autocrine of Murine Tumor Cells

Tumor cells usually secrete soluble factors to improve their proliferation via autocrine network or to escape from immune surveillance by inhibiting antitumor immunity, among these factors IL-10 and IL-6 play more important roles. Since both cytokines＇ signal transductions are mediated through the STAT3 pathway, STAT3 becomes an attractive target for tumor therapy. In present study, STAT3 of murine tumor cell lines B16 and MCA-38 was constitutively activated. After treatment with STAT3-decoy ODN, the proliferation of these tumor cells was inhibited and the transcription of IL-10 or IL-6 in tumor cells was down-regulated. These results suggested that STAT3 is a good target candidate, and STAT3-decoy ODN may possibly be used as a strategy for breaking both tumor autocrine network and tumor immunotolerance.
