Aluminum（Al）, the most abundant metallic element on the earth crust, has been reckoned as a promising battery material for its the highest theoretical volume capacity(8046 mAh cm-3). Being rechargeable in ionic liquid electrolytes, however, the Al anode and battery case suffer from corrosion. On the other hand, Al is irreversible in aqueous electrolyte with severe hydrogen evolution reaction. Here, we demonstrate a water-in-salt aluminum ion electrolyte（WISE） based on Al and lithium salts to tackle the above challenges. In the WISE system, water molecules can be confined within the Li+solvation structures. This diminished Al3+-H2O interaction essentially eliminates the hydrolysis effect, effectively protecting Al anode from corrosion. Therefore, long-term Al plating/stripping can be realized. Furthermore, two types of high-performance full batteries have been demonstrated using copper hexacyanoferrate（CuHCF, a Prussian Blue Analogues） and LiNi0.8Co0.1Mn0.1O2（NCM） as cathodes. The reversibility of Al anode laid the foundation for low cost rechargeable batteries suffering for large-scale energy *** context: Al batteries are expected to become a safe and sustainable alternative to lithium batteries. For decades, chase for a feasible Al secondary battery has not been successful. The key challenge is to find suitable cathode and electrolyte materials, together with which Al anode battery can function reversibly. Currently, fatal drawbacks have impeded the practical application of Al metal batteries（AMBs）, such as sustained corrosion of Al anode and battery case in ionic liquid electrolytes, irreversibility issues as well as severe hydrogen evolution reaction during cycling in aqueous electrolyte. Objective:To determine the mechanism of the laxative effect of rhubarb(Rheum tanguticum *** Balf.)in rats using a combined bioinformatic and in vivo ***:Substances derived from rhubarb that are present in the colorectum were identified using high-performance liquid chromatography,coupled with linear ion-trap quadrupole Orbitrap highresolution mass *** targets with a potential laxative effect were identified from databases and the literature,then used with rhubarb-derived substances in molecular docking *** expression of candidate endogenous target molecules that bound specific components of rhubarb was then measured in constipated rats that had or had not been administered rhubarb by western ***,potentially bioactive compounds were traced back to their prototype ***:We identified 17 anthraquinones and 21 anthrones derived from rhubarb in the colorectum of rats.G-scoring identified three potential mediators of the laxative effect:c-kit,5-hydroxytryptamine receptor 4(5-HT4),and aquaporin-3(AQP3).In addition,10 rhubarb-derived components(aloeemodin,emodin,rhein,chrysophanol,physcion,sennoside A,sennoside C,physcionanthrone,aloeemodinanthrone,and rheinanthrone),which have strong binding affinities for more than one of the three potential targets,were selected as likely active *** extract increased the expression of c-kit and 5-HT4,and reduced the expression of AQP3 in the colon of constipated rats,which might mediate its laxative *** also found that a single prototype component may be metabolized into several active metabolites,and a single active ingredient can also be generated from various prototype ***:The present study demonstrates that various anthraquinones and anthrones present in rhubarb may be metabolized to form bioactive compounds that have additive or synergistic effects to promote defecation via c-kit,5-HT4 and/or AQP3.

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is one of the most common tumor types and remains a major clinical challenge. Increasing evidence has revealed that mitophagy inhibitors can enhance the effect of chemotherapy on HCC. However, few mitophagy inhibitors have been approved for clinical use in humans. Pyrimethamine (Pyr) is used to treat infections caused by protozoan parasites. Recent studies have reported that Pyr may be beneficial in the treatment of various tumors. However, its mechanism of action is still not clearly defined. Here, we found that blocking mitophagy sensitized cells to Pyr-induced apoptosis. Mechanistically, Pyr potently induced the accumulation of autophagosomes by inhibiting autophagosome-lysosome fusion in human HCC cells. In vitro and in vivo studies revealed that Pyr blocked autophagosome-lysosome fusion by upregulating BNIP3 to inhibit synaptosomal-associated protein 29 (SNAP29)-vesicle-associated membrane protein 8 (VAMP8) interaction. Moreover, Pyr acted synergistically with sorafenib (Sora) to induce apoptosis and inhibit HCC proliferation in vitro and in vivo. Pyr enhances the sensitivity of HCC cells to Sora, a common chemotherapeutic, by inhibiting mitophagy. Thus, these results provide new insights into the mechanism of action of Pyr and imply that Pyr could potentially be further developed as a novel mitophagy inhibitor. Notably, Pyr and Sora combination therapy could be a promising treatment for malignant HCC.

Scalable deposition of high-efficiency perovskite solar cells(PSCs)is critical to accelerating their commercial ***,a significant number of defects are distributed at the buried interface of perovskite film fabricated by scalable deposition,exhibiting much negative influence on the efficiency and stability of ***,2-(N-morpholino)ethanesulfonic acid potassium salt(MESK)is incorporated as the bridging layer between the tin oxide(SnO_(2))electron transport layer(ETL)and the perovskite film deposited via scalable two-step doctor *** experiment and simulation results demonstrate that MESK can passivate the trap states of Sn suspension bonds,thereby enhancing the charge extraction and transport of the SnO_(2)***,the strong interaction with uncoordinated Pb ions can modulate the crystal growth and crystallographic orientation of perovskite film and passivate buried *** employing MESK interface bridging,PSCs fabricated via scalable doctor blading in ambient condition achieve a power conversion efficiency(PCE)of 24.67%,which is one of the highest PCEs for doctor-bladed PSCs,and PSC modules with an active area of 11.35 cm^(2)achieve a PCE of 19.45%.Furthermore,PSCs exhibit excellent long-term stability,and the unpackaged target device with a storage of 1680 h in ambient condition(25℃and humidity of 30%relative humidity(RH))can maintain more than 90%of the initial *** research provides a strategy for constructing a high-performance interface bridge between SnO_(2)ETL and perovskite film,and achieving efficient and stable large-area PSCs and modules fabricated via scalable doctor-blading process in ambient condition.

Power of SAR Imagery and Machine Learning in Monitoring Ulva prolifera: A Case Study of Sentinel-1 and Random Forest

Automatically detecting Ulva prolifera(U. prolifera) in rainy and cloudy weather using remote sensing imagery has been a long-standing problem. Here, we address this challenge by combining high-resolution Synthetic Aperture Radar(SAR) imagery with the machine learning, and detect the U. prolifera of the South Yellow Sea of China(SYS) in 2021. The findings indicate that the Random Forest model can accurately and robustly detect U. prolifera, even in the presence of complex ocean backgrounds and speckle *** inspection confirmed that the method successfully identified the majority of pixels containing U. prolifera without misidentifying noise pixels or seawater pixels as U. prolifera. Additionally, the method demonstrated consistent performance across different images, with an average Area Under Curve(AUC) of 0.930(±0.028). The analysis yielded an overall accuracy of over 96%, with an average Kappa coefficient of 0.941(±0.038). Compared to the traditional thresholding method, Random Forest model has a lower estimation error of 14.81%. Practical application indicates that this method can be used in the detection of unprecedented U. prolifera in 2021to derive continuous spatiotemporal changes. This study provides a potential new method to detect U. prolifera and enhances our understanding of macroalgal outbreaks in the marine environment.
