Pulsed dynamic electrolysis enhanced PEMWE hydrogen production:Revealing the effects of pulsed electric fields on protons mass transport and hydrogen bubble escape

The transition of hydrogen sourcing from carbon-intensive to water-based methodologies is underway,with renewable energy-powered proton exchange membrane water electrolysis （PEMWE） emerging as the preeminent pathway for hydrogen *** remarkable advancements in this field,confronting the sluggish electrochemical kinetics and inherent high-energy consumption arising from deteriorated mass transport within PEMWE systems remains a formidable *** impediment stems primarily from the hindered protons mass transfer and the untimely hydrogen bubbles *** address these challenges,we harness the inherent variability of electrical energy and introduce an innovative pulsed dynamic water electrolysis *** to constant voltage electrolysis (hydrogen production rate:51.6 m L h-1,energy consumption:5.37 kWh Nm-3H2),this strategy (hydrogen production rate:66 m L h-1,energy consumption:3.83 kWh Nm-3H2) increases the hydrogen production rate by approximately 27%and reduces the energy consumption by about 28%.Furthermore,we demonstrate the practicality of this system by integrating it with an off-grid photovoltaic （PV） system designed for outdoor operation,successfully driving a hydrogen production current of up to 500 mA under an average voltage of approximately 2 *** combined results of in-situ characterization and finite element analysis reveal the performance enhancement mechanism:pulsed dynamic electrolysis （PDE） dramatically accelerates the enrichment of protons at the electrode/solution interface and facilitates the release of bubbles on the electrode *** such,PDE-enhanced PEMWE represents a synergistic advancement,concurrently enhancing both the hydrogen generation reaction and associated transport *** promising technology not only redefines the landscape of electrolysis-based hydrogen production but also holds immense potential for broadening its application across a diverse spectrum of electrocatalytic endeavors.

Tunable non-Markovian and quantum coherence in the single-qubit dephasing noise channel

In this paper, we construct a single-qubit dephasing noise channel based on the nuclear magnetic resonance（NMR） system by employing the bath-engineering technology, and achieve the construction of the tunable non-Markovian environment in the dephasing noise channel. Our findings indicate that for the single-qubit system, the transition of system dynamics from Markovian to non-Markovian can be achieved by adjusting the base frequency of the noise power spectrum. However, the base frequency corresponding to this phase transition point is not fixed, and there is a certain relationship between it and the total evolution time of the single-qubit system. Through our research, we discovered a fundamental relationship: if the single-qubit system dynamics undergoe a transition from Markovian to non-Markovian at ω0within 0-2t ms, shortening the evolution time to 0-t ms results in an increase of the phase transition point to 2ω0. This insight offers crucial guidance for artificially crafting non-Markovian environments across arbitrary time scales in single-qubit systems, and it is not limited by the type of noise. Apart from system dynamics, quantum coherence is also a focal point of our research. We find that when the system dynamics exhibit non-Markovian behavior, the quantum coherence of the single-qubit system experiences revivals. Notably, the timing of these coherence revivals aligns with the instants of the non-Markovianity enhancement. Therefore, our research also serves as a pivotal foundation for the artificial manipulation and realization of quantum coherence revivals within diverse single-qubit systems.

高校师德失范行为惩戒既是新时代师德师风建设的核心部分,更是推进教育治理现代化的关键命题。当前高校师德失范行为惩戒面临两个方面困境:一是制度层面的供给不足;二是在实施机制中存在参与通道不畅、教师权利的实效性救济困难等问题。应当明确,法治既是新时代教育治理现代化的基本目标与重要内容,也是高校教育治理现代化的基本路径,更是高校进行师德失范行为惩戒必须遵循的基本模式。通过法治化的建构路径,于静态维度准确界定惩戒的启动条件,划定惩戒的适用范围;于动态维度畅通多元主体的利益诉求表达通道。进而,在实践维度强化高校自主化、专业化实施师德失范行为惩戒的能力,在中国式现代化的时代格局下,有力推进高校教育治理现代化。

Previous studies have shown that the compound(E)-2-(3,4-dihydroxystyryl)-3-hydroxy-4H-pyran-4-one(D30),a pyromeconic acid derivative,possesses antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties,inhibits amyloid-β aggregation,and alleviates scopolamine-induced cognitive impairment,similar to the phase Ⅲ clinical drug *** this study,we established a mouse model of Alzheimer's disease via intracerebroventricular injection of fibrillar amyloid-β to investigate the effect of D30 on fibrillar amyloid-β-induced *** results showed that D30 alleviated fibrillar amyloid-β-induced cognitive impairment,promoted fibrillar amyloid-β clearance from the hippocampus and cortex,suppressed oxidative stress,and inhibited activation of microglia and astrocytes.D30 also reversed the fibrillar amyloid-β-induced loss of dendritic spines and synaptic protein ***,we demonstrated that exogenous fibrillar amyloid-βintroduced by intracerebroventricular injection greatly increased galectin-3 expression levels in the brain,and this increase was blocked by *** the role of D30 in clearing amyloid-β,inhibiting neuroinflammation,protecting synapses,and improving cognition,this study highlights the potential of galectin-3 as a promising treatment target for patients with Alzheimer's disease.

Physarum polycephalum-inspired adaptive optimization design of artificial microtubular networks

Natural biological microtubular networks have undergone adaptive evolutionary selection and may offer viable solutions to design challenges in artificial microtubular networks. The plasmodium of the slime mold Physarum polycephalum(P. polycephalum) extends continuously to form a protoplasmic microtubular network structure, directly connecting food *** simulations revealed that the formation of this adaptive P. polycephalum microtubular network could be captured by a mathematical algorithm. Inspired by the P. polycephalum microtubular networks, we propose an adaptive optimization design method for artificial microtubular networks. Specifically, we utilized hydrogels with biodegradable and tissue-adhesive properties to replicate the P. polycephalum microtubular networks via photomask. In Rhodamine B diffusion and glucosecatalyzed reaction experiments, we found that the P. polycephalum microtubular networks exhibited significantly enhanced efficiency compared to vascular and artificial networks. Furthermore, we demonstrated the potential for uric acid(UA) degradation of the hydrogels with a real P. polycephalum microtubular network loaded with urate oxidase(UOx) in a rodent model of hyperuricemia. And this network achieved more than double the effect of the artificial network. This underscores the potential of natural microtubular networks to replace artificial microtubular networks.

Peri-centrosomal localization of small interfering RNAs in C. elegans

The centrosome is the microtubule-organizing center and a crucial part of cell division. Centrosomal RNAs(cnRNAs) have been reported to enable precise spatiotemporal control of gene expression during cell division in many species. Whether and how cnRNAs exist in C. elegans are unclear. Here, using the nuclear RNAi Argonaute protein NRDE-3 as a reporter, we observed potential peri-centrosome localized small interfering(si)RNAs in C. elegans. NRDE-3 was previously shown to associate with pre-mRNAs and pre-rRNAs via a process involving the presence of complementary siRNAs. We generated a GFP-NRDE-3 knock-in transgene through CRISPR/Cas9 technology and observed that NRDE-3 formed peri-centrosomal foci neighboring the tubulin protein TBB-2, other centriole proteins and pericentriolar material(PCM)components in C. elegans embryos. The peri-centrosomal accumulation of NRDE-3 depends on RNA-dependent RNA polymerase(RdRP)-synthesized 22G siRNAs and the PAZ domain of NRDE-3, which is essential for siRNA binding. Mutation of eri-1, ergo-1, or drh-3 significantly increased the percentage of pericentrosome-enriched NRDE-3. At the metaphase of the cell cycle, NRDE-3 was enriched in both the peri-centrosomal region and the spindle. Moreover, the integrity of centriole proteins and pericentriolar material(PCM) components is also required for the peri-centrosomal accumulation of NRDE-3. Therefore, we concluded that siRNAs could accumulate in the pericentrosomal region in C. elegans and suggested that the peri-centrosomal region may also be a platform for RNAi-mediated gene regulation.

Activatable chemiluminescence probe based on four-arm PEGconjugated-pyropheophorbide-a for in vivo autofluorescence-free imaging of peroxynitrite

Peroxynitrite（ONOO-） is a highly reactive nitrogen species that plays pivotal roles in cell signal transduction and physiological or pathological progresses. However, commonly used ONOO-optical imaging probes are still hampered by high background/autofluorescence（fluorescence probe）, short emission wavelength, or poor selectivity in the case of chemiluminescence. Herein,we report a facile method to prepare an activatable chemiluminescence probe（PPA-PEG） with good biocompatibility and functionality for in vivo autofluorescence-free imaging of ONOO-. The PPA-PEG consists of pyropheophorbide-a（PPA）, a typical deep red photosensitizer that acts as both the recognition and signaling element, and 4-arm poly（ethylene glycol）(4-arm PEG), which improves the biosafety and water solubility of probe. These components can self-assemble into nanoparticles（namely PPA-PEG nanoprobe） in aqueous solution. The PPA-PEG nanoprobe showed an ultra-low chemiluminescence signal before interacting with ONOO-, but exhibited good selectivity, high sensitivity and a fast response toward ONOO-. The PPAPEG was successfully applied to image cellular ONOO-changes, as well as the endogenous ONOO-changes in inflammation models and subcutaneous or orthotopic hepatocellular carcinoma（HCC） tumors models in living mice. In vitro and in vivo studies verified the good detection and imaging capabilities of PPA-PEG for peroxynitrite, demonstrating suitable tissue penetration and a high signal-to-background ratio（SBR）. Thus, our nanoprobe can serve as a valuable activatable chemiluminescence imaging tool for studying important peroxynitrite-related chemical and biological applications.
