Silicon(Si)anode has been considered a promising candidate due to its remarkable theoretical capacity but it was plagued by severe pulverization because of the inherent huge volume variation.Enhancing electrode stability is an effective approach to improve electrochemical performance.Herein,a stable Si anode was established by an innovative construction of the bonding between conductive agents and active materials/binders.As a result,the strong interaction of electrode components not only effectively alleviates the volume expansion of Si but also achieves a stable interface by generating the beneficial solid electrolyte interphase(SEI)composition.Attributed to the deliberate scheme of the electrode,the Si anode exhibits sterling electrochemical performance.Besides,the device of the electrode is not only effective for other binders but also for other anode materials with high volume variation,thus shedding light on the rational design of electrodes for high-energy-density lithium-ion batteries.

Preparation of Spherical Tungsten Particles Assisted by Hydrothermal Method

We presented a strategy to prepare spherical tungsten powder by the combination of hydrothermal method and H2reduction process.In hydrothermal process,the micelle of tetraethylammonium bromide(TEAB)act as spherical templates for the deposition of tungsten oxide,whereas the excessive TEAB inhibit the formation of spherical tungsten oxide due to the dense molecular layer of TEAB on the tungsten oxide particles.Citric acid(CA)can control the formation rate and structure of the tungsten oxide when its concentration is more than 0.2 mol/L,because of its ability to coordinate with tungsten atoms.The synergistic effect of TEAB and CA facilitates the formation of spherical tungsten oxide with nanorod crown.After being treated by H_(2)at 600 and 650℃,the tungsten oxide particles are reduced to tungsten particles,which maintain the spherical structure of tungsten oxide and have porous structure.

In applications such as marine rescue,marine science,archaeology,and offshore industries,autonomous underwater vehicles(AUVs)are frequently used for survey missions and monitoring tasks,with most operations being performed by manned submersibles or remotely operated vehicles(ROVs)equipped with robotic arms,as they can be operated remotely for days without problems.However,they require expensive marine vessels and specialist pilots to operate them.Scientists exploring oceans are no longer satisfied with the use of manned submersibles and ROVs.There is a growing desire for seabed exploration to be performed using smarter,more flexible,and automated equipment.By improving the field operation and intervention capability of AUVs,large-scale and long-range seafloor exploration and sampling can be performed without the support of a mother ship,making it a more effective,economical,convenient,and rapid means of seafloor exploration and sampling operations,and playing a critical role in marine resource exploration.In this study,we explored the integration technology of underwater electric robotic arms and AUVs and designed a new set of electric manipulators suitable for water depths greater than 500 m.The reliability of the key components was analyzed by finite element analysis and,based on the theory of robot kinematics and dynamics,simulations were performed to verify the reliability of the key components.Experiments were conducted on land and underwater,trajectory tracking experiments were completed,and the experimental data in air and water were compared and analyzed.Finally,the objectives for further research on the autonomous control of the manipulator underwater were proposed.

Robotic subsea stratum drilling robot is a method for new subsea stratigraphic geological investigation and resource exploration.Resistance at the front end is the main source of resistance to the robot’s motion in the strata.Since there is no continuous and strong downward drilling force as in conventional drilling rigs,robot movement relies heavily on the drill bit to reduce the drilling resistance.In this study we propose a self-propelling drill bit that can discharge soil debris to provide propulsive force and reduce the resistance.The key parameter of the drill bit design,the spiral blade lead angle,was determined by theoretical analysis of the drill bit’s soil discharging effect.To verify the structural advantages of the self-propelling drill bit in reducing resistance,a comparative analysis with a conventional conical drill bit was conducted.The drilling process of both bits was simulated using finite element simulation at various rotation speeds,the penetration force and torque data of both drill bits were obtained,and tests prepared accordingly in subsea soil were conducted.The simulations and tests verified that the penetration force of the self-propelling drill bit was lower than that of the conventional conical drill bit.The self-propelling drill bit can reduce the resistance effectively,and may play an important role in the stratum movement of drilling robots.

N^(6)-methyladenosine(m^(6)A)modification is critical for m RNA splicing,nuclear export,stability and translation.Fat mass and obesity-associated protein(FTO),the first identified m^(6)A demethylase,is critical for cancer progression.Herein,we developed small-molecule inhibitors of FTO by virtual screening,structural optimization,and bioassay.As a result,two FTO inhibitors namely 18077 and 18097 were identified,which can selectively inhibit demethylase activity of FTO.Specifically,18097 bound to the active site of FTO and then inhibited cell cycle process and migration of cancer cells.In addition,18097 reprogrammed the epi-transcriptome of breast cancer cells,particularly for genes related to P53 pathway.18097 increased the abundance of m^(6)A modification of suppressor of cytokine signaling1(SOCS1)m RNA,which recruited IGF2 BP1 to increase m RNA stability of SOCS1 and subsequently activated the P53 signaling pathway.Further,18097 suppressed cellular lipogenesis via downregulation of peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma(PPARγ),CCAAT/enhancer-binding protein alpha(C/EBPa),and C/EBPβ.Animal studies confirmed that 18097 can significantly suppress in vivo growth and lung colonization of breast cancer cells.Collectively,we identified that FTO can work as a potential drug target and the small-molecule inhibitor 18097 can serve as a potential agent against breast cancer.

Effect of sand-fixing vegetation on the hydrological regulation function of sand dunes and its practical significance

Soil water content is a key controlling factor for vegetation restoration in sand dunes.The deep seepage and lateral migration of water in dunes affect the recharge process of deep soil water and groundwater in sand dune ecosystems.To determine the influence of vegetation on the hydrological regulation function of sand dunes,we examined the deep seepage and lateral migration of dune water with different vegetation coverages during the growing season in the Horqin Sandy Land,China.The results showed that the deep seepage and lateral migration of water decreased with the increase in vegetation coverage on the dunes.The accumulated deep seepage water of mobile dunes(vegetation coverage13.75%)should be retained as a water resource reservoir to maintain the water balance of artificial fixed dune ecosystems.These findings provide reliable evidence for the accurate assessment of water resources within the sand dune ecosystem and guide the construction of desertification control projects.

In-situ fabricated perovskite nanocrystals in polymeric matrix provide new generation composite materials for plenty of cutting edge technology. In this work, we report the in-situ fabrication of copper halide perovskite(MA_2CuCl_4, MA:CH_3NH_3^+) embedded poly(vinylidene fluoride)(PVDF) composite films. The optimized MA_2CuCl_4/PVDF composite films exhibit greatly enhanced piezo-response in comparasion with pure PVDF films. The enhancements were invesitgated and explained by applying piezo-response force microscopy(PFM) measurements and density functional theory(DFT) caculations. We proposed that the high piezoelectric properties of MA_2CuCl_4/PVDF composite films could be related to the large Cu off-centering displacement, the strong interactions between MA_2CuCl_4 and PVDF as well as large stress concentration around the MA_2CuCl_4 particles in the films. These piezoelectric composite films are expected to be suitable functional materials for flexible and/or wearable piezoelectrics.

长阳天池口清江特大桥主桥为净跨径242 m的非对称上承式钢筋混凝土拱桥,主拱圈采用单箱单室截面,宽9.5 m、高4.0 m。资丘岸和五峰岸半跨主拱圈各分为24个和21个节段,第1个节段采用支架现浇,其余节段采用斜拉扣挂悬臂浇筑法施工。扣索采用星式和扇形组合方式布置,位于墩顶和扣塔的扣索为星式布置,位于交界墩墩身的扣索为扇形布置,并将墩身上的扣锚索设计成连续索以避免在墩身上搭设张拉平台;扣塔由8根∅800 mm×16 mm钢管组成,两岸扣塔分别高52.68 m和60.12 m;根据锚索最大索力,设计了能承受800 kN张拉力的岩锚索。建立主拱圈悬臂浇筑施工阶段MIDAS Civil有限元模型,对斜拉扣挂系统扣锚索索力进行计算,通过拆除部分扣索和调整扣锚索索力,施工期间主拱圈截面最大拉应力、扣塔最大偏位、主拱圈成拱后线形均满足要求。

Variability of clay mineral assemblages in the Western Pacific Warm Pool(WPWP) over the past 370 ka shows the prominent glacial-interglacial cyclicity.Smectite(62%-91%) is the dominant clay mineral,with decreased contents during interglacials while increased in glacials.In contrast,variations in chlorite(4%-21%),illite(4%-12%),and kaolinite(2%-10%) share a similar pattern with higher contents during interglacials than glacials,mirroring to that of smectite.The results indicate that the smectite-dominated clay minerals derive mainly from the river detrital inputs of New Guinea.The glacial-interglacial cycle of clay mineral assemblages well correspond to the fluctuation of sea level.When the sea level was low,the river materials can travel more easily across the narrow shelf off the island of New Guinea,inject directly into the subsurface currents flowing westwards,then merge into the Equatorial Undercurrent(EUC),and eventually deposit on the central part of WPWP.Precessional periods of the smectite content indicate the intensity of mechanical erosion in its provenance of New Guinea,responding to the river runoff and precipitation,and this could also be linked to the meridional migration of the Intertropical Convergence Zone(ITCZ).

It is challenging to improve the long-term stability of perovskite solar cells(PSCs) without sacrificing efficiency. The perovskite absorbers degrade from the film surface/interfaces, which follows entangled mechanisms that have not been fully revealed yet.Herein, we decouple and elaborate two distinctive pathways regarding film degradation based on FACsPbI3perovskites.Moreover, a dual interfacial modification strategy has been developed for improving the material’s intrinsic stability, thus leading to the film degrading in a more retardant pathway. The corresponding PSCs achieve a stable power output efficiency of 23.75%.More importantly, the unencapsulated PSCs devices retain over 93% of their initial PCE after the maximum power point(MPP)tracking under the continuous 1-sun illumination and show significantly improved stability after aged under the thermal treatment or stored in ambient atmosphere for over 1500 hours without obvious PCE decay. This work shows the importance of modulating the degradation pathway on stability improvement, and at the same time, proposes a strategy for designing perovskite-based optoelectronics with excellent performance and stability.
