Microstructural changes in memory and reticular formation neural pathway after simple concussion

Patients with concussion often present with temporary disturbance of consciousness. The microstructural and functional changes in the brain associated with concussion, as well as the relationship with transient cognitive disorders, are currently unclear. In the present study, a rabbit model of simple concussion was established. Magnetic resonance-diffusion tensor imaging results revealed that the corona radiata and midbrain exhibited significantly decreased fractional anisotropy values in the neural pathways associated with memory and the reticular formation. In addition, the apparent diffusion coefficient values were significantly increased following injury compared with those before injury. Following a 1-hour period of quiet rest, the fractional anisotropy values significantly increased, and apparent diffusion coefficient values significantly decreased, returning to normal pre-injury levels. In contrast, the fractional anisotropy values and apparent diffusion coefficient values in the corpus callosum, thalamus and hippocampus showed no statistical significant alterations following injury. These findings indicate that the neural pathways associated with memory and the reticular formation pathway exhibit reversible microstructural white matter changes when concussion occurs, and these changes are exhibited to a different extent in different regions.

The present study analyzed changes in the biochemical metabolites N-acetyl aspartate, choline, and creatine in a simple concussion rabbit model following quiet rest, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, or interference stimulation through the use of hydrogen proton magnetic resonance spectroscopy detection. Experimental findings showed that brain N-acetyl aspartate and choline peak values significantly decreased, while creatine peak values significantly increased following simple concussion. Following treatments, N-acetyl aspartate and choline peaks returned to normal levels in the quiet rest and hyperbaric oxygen therapy groups, but no changes were observed in the interference stimulation group. Results demonstrated abnormal changes in the brain biochemical metabolism environment following simple concussion. Quiet rest was shown to play an important role in restoration of biochemical metabolism following simple concussion.

目的研究分析不同标本类型在非小细胞肺癌(NSCLC)患者的驱动基因检出率,并分析表皮生长因子受体(EGFR)、间变性淋巴瘤激酶(ALK)、C-ros原癌基因1-受体酪氨酸激酶(ROS1)、Kristen鼠肉瘤病毒原癌基因同源体(KRAS)、鼠类肉瘤滤过性毒菌致癌基因同源体B(BRAF)等驱动基因异常情况及与临床病理特征关系。方法收集2021年1月—2021年12月我院病理科明确诊断为NSCLC样本180例,包括手术切除标本25例,肺活检标本80例,恶性胸腔积液细胞蜡块标本29例,转移病灶标本46例,采用扩增阻滞突变系统(ARMS)法检测驱动基因突变状态。结果5种驱动基因的总突变率为53.33%(96/180),驱动基因突变可在不同标本类型中检出,不同标本间突变率比较差异无统计学意义(P>0.05)。EGFR基因突变率40.56%(73/180),性别及组织类型突变率比较差异有统计学意义(P0.05);KRAS基因突变率6.11%(11/180),其中性别类型突变率比较差异有统计学意义(P0.05);ALK融合基因突变率4.44/%(8/180),年龄、性别及组织类型突变率比较差异无统计学意义(P>0.05);BRAF基因突变率1.11%(2/180),ROS1融合基因突变率1.11%(2/180)。结论不同标本类型均可检出驱动基因,增加了临床基因检测的取样途径。NSCLC患者EGFR基因突变率明显高于其他驱动基因,EGFR基因突变与患者性别及组织类型有差异,KRAS基因突变与患者性别有差异;ALK、ROS1、BRAF基因突变率较低,但指导NSCLC治疗有重要意义。多基因联合检测可一次获取更多驱动基因突变信息,能够更快、更全面地指导临床治疗。

Previous research has shown that land surface thermal anomalies in West Asia(WA) can impact regional and global climate,particularly affecting China through the eastward propagation of wave ***,the factors driving these anomalies in WA have not been extensively *** on the observation data,this work focuses on examining the impacts of Eurasian winter snow cover on winter surface air temperature(SAT) variability over WA from 1978/1979 to 2017/2018 and explores the underlying physical *** results indicate that a crucial snow anomaly area extending from the Baltic Sea to eastern Ural significantly influences the winter SAT anomaly in *** anomalous increase(decrease) in winter snow cover in this key area corresponds to the anomalously warmer(cooler) SAT in *** relationship is primarily driven by the albedo effects of snow cover,where more(less)snow cover induces cooling(warming) of the overlying air,altering upper-level geopotential height and influencing the intensity,duration,and frequency of local blocking ***,changes in the air temperature above the key area modify the meridional temperature gradient(MTG) between high and low latitudes,affecting the mean zonal flow in the *** of the thermodynamic energy equation for SAT reveals that the combined effects of variations in blocking events in high latitudes and mean zonal flow in midlatitudes alter the advection of climatological temperature by anomalous winds,which is caused by the anomalous increase(decrease) of snow cover in the key ***,this leads to changes in cold advection transported to WA,contributing to the occurrence of a warmer(colder) SAT over WA in winter.

Despite the presence of Li F components in the solid electrolyte interphase(SEI)formed on the graphite anode surface by conventional electrolyte,these Li F components primarily exist in an amorphous state,rendering them incapable of effectively inhibiting the exchange reaction between lithium ions and transition metal ions in the ***,nearly all lithium ions within the SEI film are replaced by transition metal ions,resulting in an increase in interphacial impedance and a decrease in ***,we demonstrate that the SEI film,constructed by fluoroethylene carbonate(FEC)additive rich in crystalline Li F,effectively inhibits the undesired Li^(+)/Co^(2+)ion exchange reaction,thereby suppressing the deposition of cobalt compounds and metallic ***,the deposited cobalt compounds exhibit enhanced structural stability and reduced catalytic activity with minimal impact on the interphacial stability of the graphite *** findings reveal the crucial influence of SEI film composition and structure on the deposition and hazards associated with transition metal ions,providing valuable guidance for designing next-generation electrolytes.

The aromatic compounds,including o-xylene,m-xylene,p-xylene,and ethylbenzene,primarily originate from the catalytic reforming of crude oil,and have a wide variety of ap***,because of similar physical and chemical properties,these compounds are difficult to be identified by gas chromatography(GC)without standard *** the development of modern nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR)techniques,NMR has emerged as a powerful and efficient tool for the rapid analysis of complex and crude mixtures without *** this study,the parameters of one-dimensional(1D)total correlation spectroscopy(TOCSY)NMR techniques,including 1D selective gradient TOCSY and 1D chemicalshift-selective filtration(CSSF)with TOCSY,were optimized to obtain comprehensive molecular structure *** results indicate that the overlapped signals in NMR spectra of nonpolar aromatic compounds(including o-xylene,m-xylene,p-xylene and ethylbenzene),polar aromatic compounds(benzyl alcohol,benzaldehyde,benzoic acid),and aromatic compounds with additional conjugated bonds(styrene)can be resolved in 1D *** importantly,full molecular structures can be clearly distinguished by setting appropriate mixing time in 1D *** approach simplifies the NMR spectra,provides structural information of entire molecules,and can be applied for the analysis of other structural isomers.

Lightweight Object Detection Networks for UAV Aerial Images Based on YOLO

Existing high-precision object detection algorithms for UAV(unmanned aerial vehicle) aerial images often have a large number of parameters and heavy weight, which makes it difficult to be applied to mobile *** propose three YOLO-based lightweight object detection networks for UAVs, named YOLO-L, YOLO-S, and YOLO-M, respectively. In YOLO-L, we adopt a deconvolution approach to explore suitable upsampling rules during training to improve the detection accuracy. The convolution-batch normalization-Si LU activation function(CBS)structure is replaced with Ghost CBS to reduce the number of parameters and weight, meanwhile Maxpool maximum pooling operation is proposed to replace the CBS structure to avoid generating parameters and weight. YOLO-S greatly reduces the weight of the network by directly introducing CSPGhost Neck residual structures, so that the parameters and weight are respectively decreased by about 15% at the expense of 2.4% mAP. And YOLO-M adopts the CSPGhost Neck residual structure and deconvolution to reduce parameters by 5.6% and weight by 5.7%, while m AP only by 1.8%. The results show that the three lightweight detection networks proposed in this paper have good performance in UAV aerial image object detection task.

Sclerotherapy in a case of multiple glomuvenous malformation

In this study, we present a representative case of multiple glomuvenous malformation in a 12-year-old female patient. Approximately five years ago, the patient developed multiple blue-purple papules and plaques on her hypogastrium and right thigh, which progressively enlarged and presented tenderness. Histopathological examination confirmed the diagnosis of glomuvenous malformation. Following two injections of lauromacrogol, a significant improvement was observed in the lesions, including a resolution of tenderness. These findings suggest that sclerotherapy not only exhibits evident therapeutic efficacy but also effectively alleviates pain while addressing both aesthetic and therapeutic concerns.
