An improved typhoon monitoring model based on precipitable water vapor and pressure

The potential of monitoring the movement of typhoons using the precipitable water vapor(PWV) has been confirmed. However, monitoring the movement of typhoon is focused on PWV, making it difficult to describe the movement of a typhoon in detail minutely and resulting in insufficient accuracy. Hence,based on PWV and meteorological data, we propose an improved typhoon monitoring mode. First, the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts Reanalysis 5-derived PWV(ERA5-PWV) and the Global Navigation Satellite System-derived PWV(GNSS-PWV) were compared with the reference radiosonde PWV(RS-PWV). Then, using the PWV and atmospheric parameters derived from ERA5, we discussed the anomalous variations of PWV, pressure(P), precipitation, and wind speed during different typhoons. Finally, we compiled a list of critical factors related to typhoon movement, PWV and P. We developed an improved multi-factor typhoon monitoring mode(IMTM) with different models(i.e.,IMTM-I and IMTM-II) in different cases with a higher density of GNSS observation or only Numerical Weather Prediction(NWP) data. The IMTM was evaluated through the reference movement speeds of HATO and Mangkhut from the China Meteorological Observatory Typhoon Network(CMOTN). The results show that the root mean square(RMS) of the IMTM-I is 1.26 km/h based on ERA5-P and ERA5-PWV,and the absolute bias values are mostly within 2 km/h. Compared with the models considering the single factor ERA5-P/ERA5-PWV, the RMS of the IMTM-I is improved by 26.3% and 38.5%, respectively. The IMTM-II model manifests a residual of only 0.35 km/h. Compared with the single-factor model based on GNSS-PWV/P, the residual of the IMTM-II model is reduced by 90.8% and 84.1%, respectively. These results propose that the typhoon movement monitoring approach combining PWV and P has evident advantages over the single-factor model and is expected to supplement traditional typhoon monitoring.

Degradation of o-dichlorobenzene by DBD-NTP co-modified titanium gel catalyst

In order to study the degradation process of dioxins in industrial flue gas,the decomposition of o-dichlorobenzene(o-DCB)in a DBD plasma catalytic reactor was investigated.The results showed that an NTP-catalyzed system,especially using the Cu Mn Ti Oxcatalyst,had better o-DCB degradation performance compared to plasma alone.The combination of the Cu Mn Ti Oxcatalyst with NTP can achieve a degradation efficiency of up to 97.2%for o-DCB;the selectivity of CO and CO_(2)and the carbon balance were 40%,45%,and 85%,respectively.The dielectric constant and electrical property results indicated that the surface discharge capacity of the catalysts played a major role in the degradation of o-DCB,and a higher dielectric constant could suppress the plasma expansion and enhance the duration of the plasma discharge per discharge cycle.According to the O1s XPS and O_(2)-TPD results,the conversion of CO to CO_(2)follows the M-v-K mechanism;thus,the active species on the catalyst surface play an important role.Moreover,the Cu Mn Ti Oxand NTP mixed system exhibited excellent stability,which is probably because Cu doping improved the lifetime of the catalyst.This work can provide an experimental and theoretical basis for research in the degradation of o-DCB by plasma catalyst systems.

The passivation of hydrogen atoms and the conformation of textured surfaces under oil-lubricated conditions are effective strategies to obtain amorphous carbon(a-C)films with extremely low friction.It is critical to understanding the influence mechanism of selective surface hydrogenation on the tribological behaviors of textured a-C film under oil-lubricated conditions.In particular,the interactions of hydrogen atoms and lubricants are confusing,which is enslaved to the in situ characterization technique.The reactive molecular dynamics(RMD)simulations were conducted to analyze the friction response of textured a-C films with selective hydrogenation surfaces under oil-lubricated conditions.The results indicate that the existence of hydrogen atoms on specific bump sites significantly decreases the friction coefficient(μ)of textured a-C film,which is highly dependent on the surface hydrogen content.The repulsion between hydrogen atoms and lubricant molecules prompts the formation of a dense lubricant film on the surface of the mating material.Interestingly,with the enhancement of the surface hydrogen content,the passivation of the friction interface and the repulsion between hydrogen atoms and lubricants play dominant roles in reducing the friction coefficient instead of hydrodynamic lubrication.

Investigation of the feasibility of NRAV as a biomarker for hepatocellular carcinoma

The long non-coding RNA,Negative Regulator of Antiviral Response(NRAV)has been identified as a participant in both respiratory virus replication and immune checkpoints,however,its involvement in pan-cancer immune regulation and prognosis,particularly those of hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC),remains unclear.To address this knowledge gap,we analyzed expression profiles obtained from The Cancer Genome Atlas(TCGA)database,comparing normal and malignant tumor tissues.We found that NRAV expression is significantly upregulated in tumor tissues compared to adjacent nontumor tissues.Kaplan-Meier(K-M)analysis revealed the prognostic power of NRAV,wherein overexpression was significantly linked to reduced overall survival in a diverse range of tumor patients.Furthermore,noteworthy associations were observed between NRAV,immune checkpoints,immune cell infiltration,genes related to autophagy,epithelial-mesenchymal transition(EMT),pyroptosis,tumor mutational burden(TMB),and microsatellite instability(MSI)across different cancer types,including HCC.Moreover,NRAV upregulation expression was associated with multiple pathological stages by clinical observations.Furthermore,our investigation revealed a substantial elevation in the expression of NRAV in both HCC tumor tissues and cells compared to normal tissues and cells.The inhibition of NRAV resulted in the inhibition of cell proliferation,migration,and invasion in HCC cells,while also influencing the expression of CD274(PD-L1)and CD44,along with various biomarkers associated with EMT,autophagy,and pyroptosis.The aforementioned results propose NRAV as a promising prognostic biomarker for HCC.

Florets are the basic structural units of spikelets,and their morphogenesis determines the yield and quality of rice grains.However,whether and how pseudouridine-5’-phosphate glycosidase participates in rice spikelet development remains an open question.In this study,we identified a novel gene,OsPPG,which encodes a peroxisome-localized pseudouridine-5’-phosphate glycosidase and regulates the development of rice spikelets.osppg mutants exhibited abnormal sterile lemma,lemma,palea,lodicule,stamens,and pistils;male sterility;shorter panicles;and reduced plant height.OsPPG was found to regulate several OsMADS genes,thereby affecting the morphogenesis of rice spikelets.Furthermore,metabolomics revealed that the OsPPG gene was involved in the decomposition of pseudouridine via the pyrimidine metabolism pathway and may affect the jasmonic acid signaling pathway.These results suggest that OsPPG is a key regulator of rice spikelet development.

Efect of operating parameters on sulfide biotransformation to sulfur

A laboratory-scale bioreactor with polyethylene semi-soft packing was constructed and utilized to determine the efficlency of sulfide biotransformation to sulfur under various operating parameters. Sodium sulfide dissolved in tap water was pumped into the bioreactor as sulfide for biological desulfurization. The sulfide, sulfur and sulfate-S in the effluent and the sulfide purged as gas-phase HzS were determined to investigate the effects of operating parameters, such as pH, DO, hydraulic retention time （HRT）, temperature and salinity, on the sulfide oxidation products. The activity of bacteria was highest at pH 7.8-8.2. The maximal sulfide removal load was 7.25 kg/（m^3·day）, with a 322.07 mg/L influent sulfide concentration and 4.80 mg/L DO. The increase of DO value corresponds to a decrease in the sulfur yield. The reactor had the highest sulfide removal load and sulfur yield at 2.55 mg/L DO. HRT had little effect on desulfurization efficiency when the sulfide removal load was kept constant. The most effective desulfurization temperature was 33℃. The sulfide removal load decreased from 2.85 to 0.51 kg/（m^3.day） with increasing salinity from 0.5% to 2.5% （m/m）.

Spray and mixing characteristics of liquid jet in a tubular gas-liquid atomization mixer

For the design and optimization of a tubular gas-liquid atomization mixer,the atomization and mixing characteristics of liquid jet breakup in the limited tube space is a key problem.In this study,the primary breakup process of liquid jet columnwas analyzed by high-speed camera,then the droplet size and velocity distribution of atomized droplets were measured by Phase-Doppler anemometry(PDA).The hydrodynamic characteristics of gas flow in tubular gas-liquid atomization mixer were analyzed by computational fluid dynamics(CFD)numerical simulation.The results indicate that the liquid flow rate has little effect on the atomization droplet size and atomization pressure drop,and the gas flowrate is themain influence parameter.Under all experimental gas flowconditions,the liquid jet column undergoes a primary breakup process,forming larger liquid blocks and droplets.When the gas flow rate(Qg)is less than 127 m^(3)·h^(−1),the secondary breakup of large liquid blocks and droplets does not occur in venturi throat region.The Sauter mean diameter(SMD)of droplets measured at the outlet is more than 140μm,and the distribution is uneven.When Qg>127 m^(3)·h^(−1),the large liquid blocks and droplets have secondary breakup process at the throat region.The SMD of droplets measured at the outlet is less than 140μm,and the distribution is uniform.When 127

为了解荒漠植物叶片碳(C)、氮(N)、磷(P)含量与土壤环境因子的关系,以新疆艾比湖保护区高、低水盐环境下14种荒漠植物群落为研究对象,测定植物叶片C、N、P含量,讨论其化学计量比、植物内稳态特征及其与土壤环境因子的关系。结果表明:(1)在不同水盐环境下,土壤有机碳(SOC)、全氮(TN)、C:N、C:P及植物叶片N、P含量存在显著差异。(2)Pearson相关性分析表明,叶片C:P与土壤电导率(EC)、SOC、C:N和C:P呈显著负相关;叶片C与土壤C:N呈显著负相关;叶片P与土壤SOC、C:N,叶片N与土壤C:N、叶片C:N与土壤TN呈显著正相关;叶片P与土壤C:P、叶片C:N与土壤N:P呈极显著正相关;且冗余分析表明,土壤C:P对艾比湖保护区植物叶片C、N、P含量及化学计量特征影响显著。(3)随土壤水盐的变化,植物叶片N、P含量及N:P的内稳态模型模拟结果不显著,内稳性指数H均大于4,属于绝对稳态,说明该研究区植物对土壤养分的适应性良好。

Oil–water pre-separation with a novel axial hydrocyclone

A novel hydrocyclone with guide vanes, named as axial hydrocyclone(AHC), is designed to tackle the problem of oil–water separation faced by most mature oilfields. Optimal design of the AHC is carried out by using numerical methods. The effects of guide vanes, cone angle, tapered angle and overflow pipe on the oil–water separation are discussed in this paper. The results show that a double swirling flow is generated in the tapered section where oil–water separation occurs. Both the cylindrical and the tapered section have important influences on AHC performance. On the basis of single factor results, response surface methodology is employed to optimize the AHC design. The experimental results indicate that the novel AHC has an excellent performance for the oil–water separation.

本文介绍了一种基于深度神经网络的长周期时间序列预测方法,实现对事故下核电厂状态的快速预测,为核电厂安全分析、事故管理等提供一种前瞻性的分析方法和思路。以深度学习为代表的数据驱动型方法为出发点,利用其擅长从数据中发掘规律并作推断预测的能力,建立起长期时间跨度上多元输入变量和多元输出变量的联系,从而实现利用有限的历史监测信号,对事故相关的重要参数未来演化趋势进行快速预测。最后以方家山核电1、2号机组为对象开展方法验证与应用研究,证明本方法能够实现对事故电厂的高精度预测,并辅助核电运行人员高效地开展事故管理工作。
