Keloids are a common type of pathological scar as a result of skin healing,which are extremely difficult to prevent and treat without recurrence.The pathological mechanism of keloids is the excessive proliferation of fibroblasts,which synthesize more extracellular matrices(ECMs),including type I/III collagen(COL-1/3),mucopolysaccharides,connective tissue growth factor(CTGF),also known as cellular communication network factor 2(CCN2),and fibronectin(FN)in scar tissue,mostly through the abnormal activation of transforming growth factor-β(TGF-β)/Smads pathway(Finnson et al.,2013;Song et al.,2018).

Jiawei Xiaoyao San(JWXYS)has shown excellent clinical efficacy in anxiety disorder,but has not yet attracted widespread attention.The animal experiments,clinical trials and mechanism studies of JWXYS were reviewed in this article,which may provide a reference for developing new anxiolytic drugs based on this prescription.The literature was searched in PubMed and CNKI and the documents written in English or with English abstracts were selected.JWXYS could reduce the anxiety symptoms of patients alone and reduce the adverse reactions when it is used in combination with other drugs in the clinic.In preclinical studies,JWXYS also showed therapeutic effects in reducing anxiety-like behavior.The mechanisms may include improving the hypothalamic–pituitaryadrenal(HPA)axis and hormone disorders,increasing neurotransmitter content,neurogenesis,and regulating the synthesis of related enzymes.This article shows that JWXYS could effectively treat anxiety disorders by regulating the central nervous system.In the future,with the participation of more researchers,it is expected to develop innovative drugs for the treatment of anxiety disorders based on JWXYS.

Structural insights into the Oryza sativa cation transporters HKTs in salt tolerance

The high-affinity potassium transporters(HKTs),selectively permeable to either Na^(+)alone or Na^(+)/K^(+),play pivotal roles in maintaining plant Na^(+)/K^(+)homeostasis.Although their involvement in salt tolerance is widely reported,the molecular underpinnings of Oryza sativa HKTs remain elusive.In this study,we elucidate the structures of OsHKT1;1 and OsHKT2;1,representing two distinct classes of rice HKTs.The dimeric assembled OsHKTs can be structurally divided into four domains.At the dimer interface,a half-helix or a loop in the third domain is coordinated by the C-terminal region of the opposite subunit.Additionally,we present the structures of OsHKT1;5 salt-tolerant and salt-sensitive variants,a key quantitative trait locus associated with salt tolerance.The salt-tolerant variant of OsHKT1;5 exhibits enhanced Na^(+)transport capability and displays a more flexible conformation.These findings shed light on the molecular basis of rice HKTs and provide insights into their role in salt tolerance.

The microstructure of polymer electrolyte membranes plays a key role in ion conductivity and water transport.Herein,fluorinated poly(aryl ether)s with tetra-alkylsulfonate side chains(SFPAEs)have been successfully synthesized from the copolymerization of a newly developed tetra-allyl-containing bisphenol(TABP)monomer,followed by the thiol-ene addition with sodium 3-mercapto-1-propanesulfonate to attach the ionic groups at the end of the flexible chains.Being the first of its kind,the densely distributed and lengthy alkylsulfonate group possesses the benefit of ease to self-assemble into hydrophilic domains during membrane preparation via solution casting.Indeed,the TEM characterizations revealed that distinct hydrophilic channels of 1-2 nm width had been formed,much larger than those of a home-made control sample where only di-alkylsulfonate side chains were attached.The SFPAE-4-45 with an IECw of 2.0 mmol g^-1 exhibited an enhanced proton conductivity of 143.7 m S cm^-1 at room temperature,which was superior to that of Nafion 212(91.0 m S cm^-1).Furthermore,the oxidative stabilities of SFPAEs were significantly higher than those of non-fluorinated analogs in literature.This study offered a new route to engineering the pendent structure of ionomers for well-defined microscopic morphologies.

The black soldier fly larvae(BSFL) have been successfully applied to treat various organic wastes.However, the impacts of heavy metals on antibiotic resistance in the BSFL guts are poorly understood.Here, we investigated the effect of copper(exposure concentrations of 0, 100 and 800 mg/kg) on the antibiotic and metal resistance profiles in BSFL guts.A total of 83 antibiotic resistance genes(ARGs), 18 mobile genetic elements(MGEs) and 6 metal resistance genes(MRGs) were observed in larval gut samples.Exposure to Cu remarkably reduced the diversity of ARGs and MGEs, but significantly enhanced the abundances of gut-associated ARGs and MRGs.The levels of MRGs copA, czcA and pbrT were dramatically strengthened after Cu exposure as compared with CK(increased by 2.8–13.5 times).Genera Enterococcus acted as the most predominant potential host of multiple ARG, MGE and MRG subtypes.Meanwhile, high exposure to Cu aggravated the enrichment of potential pathogens in BSFL guts, especially for Escherichia, Enterococcus and Salmonella species.The mantel test and procrustes analysis revealed that the gut microbial communities could be a key determinant for antibiotic and metal resistance.However, no significant positive links were observed between MGEs and ARGs or MRGs, possibly suggesting that MGEs did not play a crucial role in shaping the ARGs or MRGs in BSFL guts under the stress of Cu.These findings extend our understanding on the impact of heavy metals on the gut-associated antibiotic and metal resistome of BSFL.

The nature and evolution of the lithospheric mantle underlying Northeast(NE)China were investigated by assessing the mineral chemistry,water contents,and noble gas(He-Ar)isotopes of peridotite xenoliths captured by Cenozoic basalts from the Changbaishan and Longgang regions.The xenoliths,which have863–1141℃ equilibration temperatures,primarily comprise spinel lherzolites and rare spinel harzburgites.The Mg#(Fo)values of olivine in the peridotite xenoliths vary from 86.9 to 91.3.The clinopyroxenes have high Ti/Eu and low(La/Yb)N,and their chondrite-normalized rare earth elements(REEs)exhibit light REE-depletion to-enrichment patterns,indicating that the mantle underneath the investigated region was predominantly subjected to partial melting(1%–10%)and was metasomatized by silicate melts.The measured3He/4He ratios of the Changbaishan xenoliths have a narrow range from 5.8 Ra to 8.4 Ra with an average of 7.4 Ra.The3He/4He isotopic ratios of the Longgang xenoliths varied from 4.7 Ra to8.1 Ra with an average of 5.9 Ra;slightly lower than the Changbaishan xenoliths.The whole-rock H2Ocontents of the studied peridotite ranged from 9 to 132 ppm.The high H2O contents in excess of50 ppm(up to 132 ppm)might represent newly accreted and cooled asthenospheric materials,while those with H2O contents lower than 50 ppm(as little as 9 ppm)may represent thinned,relic,ancient lithospheric mantle.These geochemical evidences,in combination with published data,indicated that the lithospheric mantle beneath the Changbaishan and Longgang in NE China is dominated by the younger and more fertile lithospheric mantle with a minor ancient and refractory keel.In addition,the lithospheric mantle of this area was metasomatized by melts related to the recent subduction event(e.g.,Pacific oceanic plate).Therefore,the westward-dipping Pacific oceanic plate subduction had an important contribution to the transformation of the lithospheric mantle beneath NE China.

This paper is aimed at investigating the problem of mixed time/event-triggered finite-time non-fragile filtering for nonlinear networked control systems with delay.First,a fuzzy nonlinear networked control system model is established by interval type-2(IT2)Takagi-Sugeno(T-S)fuzzy model,the designed non-fragile filter resolves the filter parameter uncertainties and uses different membership functions from the IT2 T-S fuzzy model.Second,a novel mixed time/event-triggered transmission mechanism is proposed,which decreases the waste of network resources.Next,Bernoulli random variables are used to describe the cases of random switching mixed time/event-triggered transmission mechanism.Then,the error filtering system is designed by considering a Lyapunov function and a sufficient condition of finite-time boundedness.In addition,the existence conditions for the finite-time non-fragile filter are given by the linear matrix inequalities(LMIs).Finally,two simulation results are presented to prove the effectiveness of the obtained method.

Broad output force and speed ranges are highly desired for actuators to endow soft robots with high performance,thereby increasing the range of tasks they can accomplish.However,limited by their low structural stiffness and single actuation method,most of the existed soft actuators are still difficult to achieve a broad force and speed range with a relatively compact body structure.Here,we propose a pneumatic and tendon actuation coupled soft actuator(PTCSA)with multiple actuation modes,mainly composing of a multi-joint thermoplastic polyurethanes(TPU)-made skeleton sealed in a film sleeve.The TPU skeleton with certain structural stiffness combined with soft joints allows PTCSA to output small force and respond rapidly under pneumatic actuation,as well as output high force and flexibly regulate response speed under tendon actuation,therefore achieving a broad force and speed range with a compact structure.The multiple modes constructed from the two actuation methods with different force and speed properties can cover diverse application scenarios.To demonstrate its performance,PTCSA is further used to construct a soft robotic arm(with a maximum lifting speed of 198°/s and can easily lift a load of 200 g),an inchworm-inspired wheel-footed soft robot(moves at a high speed of 2.13 cm/s when unload or pulls a load of 300 g forward),and a soft gripper(can grasp diverse objects,from 0.1 g potato chips to an 850 g roll of Sn-0.7 Cu wire,from a high-speed moving tennis ball to an upright pen).This work indicates the potential of combining multiple complementary actuation methods to improve the force and speed range of soft actuators,and may provide inspiration for related research.

It is essential to develop efficient electrocatalysts to generate hydrogen from water electrolysis for hydrogen economy. In this work, platinum(Pt) and nickel(Ni) co-doped porous carbon nanofibers(Pt/NiPCNFs) with low Pt content were prepared via an electrospinning, carbonization and galvanic replacement reaction. Because of the high electrical conductivity, abundant electrochemical active sites and synergistic effect between Pt and Ni nanoparticles, the optimized Pt/Ni-PCNFs catalyst shows an excellent HER activity with overpotentials of 20 m V in 0.5 mol/L H_(2)SO_(4) and 46 m V in 1 mol/L KOH at a current density of10 m A/cm^(2). Furthermore, over 35-h long-term stability has been achieved without significant attenuation.This work provides a simple route to prepare highly efficient electrocatalysts for water splitting and has great prospects in the field of renewable energy.
