GLTSCR1, ATM, PPPIR13L and CD3EAP Genetic Variants and Lung Cancer Risk in a Chinese Population

Genetic variants in glioma tumor suppressor candidate region gene 1 （GLTSCR1） and ATM serine/threonine kinase （ATM） have been associated with various cancer risks. Epidemiological studies also revealed the association of variants of GLTSCR1 and ATM genes with different brain tumors. However, little is known about the relationship between both gene polymorphisms and lung cancer risk. We conducted a Chinese hospital-based casecontrol study involving 384 lung cancer cases and 387 cancer-free controls. No significant differences in the single polymorphism （GLTSCR1 rs1035938 and ATM rs11212592） association were found in five genetic models （co-dominant, dominant, recessive, overdominant and log-additive models）（adjusted by smoking duration）. Join effect of three SNPs （PPPIR13L rs1970764, CD3EAP rs967591, GLTSCR1 rs1035938） on chromosome 19q 13.3 showed that the designated haplotype2 （rs 1970764 G-rs967591 A-rs 1035938 C） [OR （95% CI）=1.60 （1.11-2.32）, P=0.012] and haplotype8 （rs 1970764 G-rs967591 G-rs 1035938 T） [OR （95% CI）=2.45 （1.17-5.12）, P=0.018] were associated with increased risk of lung cancer （adjusted by smoking duration）. The analysis ofmultifactor dimensionality reduction revealed that two 3-way models were the best fit models in analyses of 2 loci （P〈0.001） or 4 loci （P=0.015-0.016）. The entropy-based analysis indicated the strongest synergistic effect between PPPIR13L rs1970764 and ATM rs11212592 in analysis of four genes. In conclusion, our study suggests that haplotypes consisting of PPPIR13L rs1970764- CD3EAP rs967591-GLTSCR1 rs1035938 on Chr19q13.3, interaction of smoking and GLTSCR1 rs1035938-ATM rs11212592, and synergistic action of PPPIR13L rs1970764 and ATM rs 11212592 may associate with lung cancer risk in the Chinese population.

A Power Battery Fault Diagnosis Method Based on Long-Short Term Memory-Back Propagation

The lithium battery is an essential component of electric cars;prompt and accurate problem detection is vital in guaranteeing electric cars’safe and dependable functioning and addressing the limitations of Back Propagation(BP)neural networks in terms of vanishing gradients and inability to effectively capture dependencies in time series,and the limitations of Long-Short Term Memory(LSTM)neural network models in terms of risk of overfitting.A method based on LSTM-BP is put forward for power battery fault diagnosis to improve the accuracy of lithium battery fault ***,a lithium battery model is constructed based on the second-order RC equivalent circuit and the electro-thermal coupling model,and various lithium battery failures are simulated to examine the fault ***,the lithium battery charging and discharging experiments collect,clean,and process the battery *** constructing a neural network LSTM-BP model,we verified the superiority and accuracy of the LSTM-BP neural network model by comparing the LSTM model and BP model vertically and by comparing the Recurrent Neural Network(RNN)model,the Gated Recurrent Unit(GRU)model,and the Residual Neural Network(ResNet)model of a more advanced architecture ***,the lithium battery fault diagnosis process is summarized through the threshold quantitative criteria,and different faults are diagnosed and *** show that the LSTM-BP neural network not only overcomes the limitations of the LSTMneural network and BP neural network but also improves the ability to process sequence data and reduces the risk of overfitting.

Microdynamic modulation through Pt–O–Ni proton and electron “superhighway” for pH-universal hydrogen evolution

Optimizing the microdynamics in alkaline and neutral conditions is a significant but challenging task in developing pH-universal hydrogen evolution（HER） ***,a unique Pt-O-Ni bridge has been constructed to alter the coordination and electronic environment between Pt nanoparticles（Pt_n）and nickel metaphosphate（NPO） substrate（Pt-NPO）.Sufficient electron transfer from NPO to Pt_n to maintain an electron-rich environment and a low valence state of Pt_***,H*is produced from the H2O dissociation on Ni site and then spillover toward Pt sites to bind into H2,which makes up for the insufficient H2O dissociation ability of Pt in Volmer ***-NPO exhibits long-term stability and only need the overpotentials of 22.3,33.0 and 30.5 mV to attain 10 mA cm-2in alkaline,neutral and acidic media,*** anion-exchange membrane（AEM） water electrolyzer catalyzed by Pt-NPO shows high water electrolysis performance that a cell voltage of 1.73 V is needed to obtain the current density of500 mA cm-2in 1 M KOH at 80℃,at the same time maintains good stability for 350 *** regulation strategy proposed in this work is helpful for the design and synthesis of highly efficient pH-universal HER electrocatalysts.

Development of ESIPT-based specific fluorescent probes for bioactive species based on the protection-deprotection of the hydroxyl

Excited-state intramolecular proton-transfer (ESIPT) based fluorescence probes are particularly attractive due to their unique properties including environmental sensitivity, a large Stokes shift, and potential for ratiometric sensing. In general, ESIPT-based fluorophore incorporates an intramolecular hydrogen bonding interaction between a hydrogen bond donor (–OH and NH2are common) and a hydrogen bond acceptor(C=N and C=O). More, protection–deprotection of hydroxyl group as hydrogen bond donor could induce an off-on switch of ESIPT-based emission. Therefore, protection–deprotection of hydroxyl group has been the widely used strategy to design fluorescent probes, where the potential key issue is selecting a protective group that can specifically leave in the presence of the target analyte. In this review, we mainly summarize the specific protecting groups (sites) and deprotection mechanisms for biologically important species (including reactive sulfur species (RSS), reactive oxygen species (ROS), enzymes, etc.), and analyze the advantages and disadvantages of different protection mechanisms from some aspects including probe stability, selectivity, response rate and assay system, etc. Based on the aforementioned, we further point out the current challenges and the potential future direction for developing ESIPT-based probes.

Inositol requiring enzyme-1(IRE1) is highly conserved from yeast to *** the endoplasmic reticulum(ER) stress,IRE1 activates X-box-binding protein 1(XBP1) by unconventional splicing of XBP1 mRNA,which activates unfolded protein reponse(UPR) to restore thehomeostasis of the *** mice,IRE1αplays an essential role in extraembryonic ***,itsprecise action during development is yet *** this study,The complete open reading frame of xIRE1αwas amplified and compared with the amino acid sequence of mice and human IRE1αand Xenopus IRE1β.Then the gain and loss of function analyses were used to investigate the function of Xenopus IRE1α(xIRE1α).The results showed that xIRE1αis much closer to human IRE1αcompared with their sequence *** gain and loss of xIRE1αfunction had no significant effect on germ layer formation,but xIRE1αis sufficient for cytoplasmic splicing of xXBP1 and knockdown of xIRE1αcould rescue the TM induced developmental defects and apoptosis at tail bud stages of *** tadpole stages of development,knockdown of xIRE1αled to a gut-coiling defect,and pancreas hypoplasia or even *** knockdown of xXBP1,the downstream gene of xIRE1α,showed the similar phenotype. Aligning enhanced feature representation for generalized zero-shot learning

Constructing an effective common latent embedding by aligning the latent spaces of cross-modal variational autoencoders（VAEs） is a popular strategy for generalized zero-shot learning（GZSL）. However, due to the lack of fine-grained instance-wise annotations, existing VAE methods can easily suffer from the posterior collapse problem. In this paper, we propose an innovative asymmetric VAE network by aligning enhanced feature representation（AEFR） for GZSL. Distinguished from general VAE structures, we designed two asymmetric encoders for visual and semantic observations and one decoder for visual reconstruction. Specifically, we propose a simple yet effective gated attention mechanism（GAM） in the visual encoder for enhancing the information interaction between observations and latent variables, alleviating the possible posterior collapse problem effectively. In addition, we propose a novel distributional decoupling-based contrastive learning（D2-CL） to guide learning classification-relevant information while aligning the representations at the taxonomy level in the latent representation space. Extensive experiments on publicly available datasets demonstrate the state-of-the-art performance of our method. The source code is available at https://***/seeyourmind/AEFR.
