High-energy-density lithium manganese iron phosphate for lithium-ion batteries: Progresses, challenges, and prospects

The soaring demand for smart portable electronics and electric vehicles is propelling the advancements in high-energy–density lithium-ion *** manganese iron phosphate (LiMnxFe1-xPO4) has garnered significant attention as a promising positive electrode material for lithium-ion batteries due to its advantages of low cost,high safety,long cycle life,high voltage,good high-temperature performance,and high energy *** LiMnxFe1-xPO4has made significant breakthroughs in the past few decades,there are still facing great challenges in poor electronic conductivity and Li-ion diffusion,manganese dissolution affecting battery cycling performance,as well as low tap *** review systematically summarizes the reaction mechanisms,various synthesis methods,and electrochemical properties of LiMnxFe1-xPO4to analyze reaction processes accurately and guide material ***,the main challenges currently faced are concluded,and the corresponding various modification strategies are discussed to enhance the reaction kinetics and electrochemical performance of LiMnxFe1-xPO4,including multi-scale particle regulation,heteroatom doping,surface coating,as well as microscopic morphology ***,in view of the current research challenges faced by intrinsic reaction processes,kinetics,and energy storage applications,the promising research directions are *** importantly,it is expected to provide key insights into the development of high-performance and stable LiMnxFe1-xPO4materials,to achieve practical energy storage requirements.

This paper constructs a coupled aero-hydro-elastic-servo simulation framework for a monopile offshore wind turbine(OWT).In this framework,a detailed multi-body dynamics model of the monopile OWT including the gearbox,blades,tower and other components(nacelle,hub,bedplate,etc.)has been explicitly *** effects of pile−soil interaction,controller and operational conditions on the turbine dynamic responses are studied systematically in time domain and frequency *** results show that(1)a comprehensive drivetrain model has the capability to provide a more precise representation of the complex dynamic characteristics exhibited by drivetrain components,which can be used as the basis for further study on the dynamic characteristics of the drivetrain.(2)The pile−soil interaction can influence the wind turbine dynamic responses,particularly under the parked condition.(3)The effect of the pile−soil interaction on tower responses is more significant than that on blade responses.(4)The use of the controller can substantially affect the rotor characteristics,which in turn influences the turbine dynamic responses.(5)The tower and blade displacements under the operational condition are much larger than those under the parked *** model and methodology presented in this study demonstrate potential for examining complex dynamic behaviors of the monopile *** ensure accuracy and precision,it is imperative to construct a detailed model of the wind turbine system,while also taking into account simulation efficiency.

Recently, a new radio millisecond pulsar(MSP) J1740-5340B, hosted in the globular cluster(GC) NGC 6397,was reported with a 5.78 ms spin period in an eclipsing binary system with a 1.97 days orbital period. Based on a modified radio ephemeris updated by tool tempo2, we analyze the ~15 yr γ-ray data obtained from the Large Area Telescope on board the Fermi Gamma-ray Space Telescope and detect PSR J1740-5340B's γ-ray pulsation at a confidence level of ~4σ with a weighted H-test value of ~26. By performing a phase-resolved analysis, the γ-ray luminosity in on-pulse interval of PSR J1740-5340B is L_(γ)~ 3.8 × 10^(33) erg s^(-1) using NGC 6397's distance of 2.48 kpc. And γ-rays from the on-pulse part of PSR J1740-5340B contribute ~90% of the total observed γ-ray emissions from NGC 6397. No significant γ-ray pulsation of another MSP J1740-5340A in the GC is *** that the previous four cases of MSPs in GCs, more data in γ-ray, X-ray, and radio are encouraged to finally confirm the γ-ray emissions from MSP J1740-5340B, especially starving for a precise ephemeris.

We report a gradual brighteningγ-ray source,4FGL J1718.5+4237,in 0.1-500.0 GeV,which may be associated with a blazar NVSS J171822+423948 with a redshift of~*** analyzed 15.25 yr ofγ-ray data recorded by the Large Area Telescope on board the Fermi Gamma-ray Space Telescope and detected significantγ-ray emissions in the direction of the blazar with a test statistic(TS)of~*** on timing analysis using a 1 yr time bin,we have observed a gradual brightening inγ-ray emissions from the *** our analysis,we categorize them into two states:Quiet(TS~0)and Loud(TS~226)states,with the distinction occurring in 2016 August(MJD57602.69).From the Quiet state to the brightest period(the last data point),theγ-ray flux in 0.1-500.0 GeV increased by more than 12-fold from<0.2×10^(-8)photons cm^(-1)s^(-1)to 2.6×10^(-8)photons cm^(-1)s^(-1).Additionally,we studied the spectral properties in detail for the Loud state and the overall *** no significant variation was detected,both exhibited a spectral indexΓof~*** origin of the brighteningγ-ray emissions from the target is not yet *** long-term multi-wavelength observations and studies will provide insight into the astrophysical mechanisms of the target.

Layered Mn-based oxides are one of the promising cathode materials for potassium-ion batteries(KIBs)owing to their high theoretical capacities,abundant material supply,and simple synthesis ***,the structural deterioration resulting from the Jahn-Teller effect of Mn ions hinders their further development in ***,a novel Mn-based layered oxide,K_(0.54)Mn_(0.78)Mg_(0.22)O_(2),is successfully designed and fabricated as KIBs cathode for the first *** delivers smooth charging/discharging curves with high specific capacity of 132.4 mAh·g^(‒1)at 20 mA·g^(‒1)and good high-rate cycling stability with a capacity retention of 84%over 100 cycles at 200 mA·g^(‒1).Combining in-situ X-ray diffraction(XRD)and ex-situ X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)analysis,the storage of K-ions by K_(0.54)Mn_(0.78)Mg_(0.22)O_(2)is revealed to be a solid-solution processes with reversible slip of the crystal *** studies suggest that the rational doping of inactive Mg2+can effectively suppress the Jahn-Teller effect and provide outstanding structure *** work deepens the understanding of the structural evolution of Mn-based layered materials doped with inactive materials during de/potassiation processes.

Electrochemical water splitting is a feasible method for producing environmental benignity energy of hydrogen,while high price and low availability on the earth of noble electrocatalysts constrain their global-scale *** metal borides(TMBs)have displayed unique metalloid characteristic and outstanding performance for oxygen evolution reaction(OER)and hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)in the last few ***,recent developments of the TMBs for HER and OER are ***,the impact factors and relevant evaluation of electrocatalytic performance are described,that is,overpotential,Tafel slope and exchange current density,stability,faradaic efficiency,turnover frequency,mass and specific ***,the optimization strategies of borides are emphasized,which principally include coupling with effective substrates,elemental doping,phase modification,interfacial engineering,and morphology ***,in order to reach the goal of application,the remaining challenges and perspectives are given to point out a direction for enhancing the performance of borides.

In this work,Zn microalloyed with Al,Mn,Cu,Ag and Li was cast,annealed and *** results showed that addition of multiple trace elements causes significant change in the microstructures,mechanical properties and corrosion behavior of Zn-0.1Al-0.1Mn-0.1Cu-0.1Ag(^(1)ZM),Zn-0.1Al-0.1Mn-0.1Cu0.1Ag-0.1Li(^(2)ZM-0.1Li)and Zn-0.1Al-0.1Mn-0.1Cu-0.1Ag-0.35Li(^(3)ZM-0.35Li)*** ternary phases with the approximate compositions of Al_(13)Mn_(3)Zn_(34) and Al_(10)MnZn_(89) phases are formed in the casting and annealing processes of these alloys,***β-LiZn_(4) lamellae that have not been extensively reported are precipitated from the primary Zn dendrites in the casting process of ZM-0.35Li ***,Zn laths are precipitated from the eutecticβ-LiZn_(4) phase in the annealing process of ZM-0.35Li *** above-mentioned phases are crushed or elongated in the as-extruded alloys,which play an important role in improving the strength of the *** the as-extruded alloys have typical(0001)basal texture,accompanied with relatively low{0001}slip and high{1012}twinning Schmid factors,which are advantageous and disadvantageous to the strength enhancement of the alloys,*** the as-cast alloys exhibit poor mechanical properties,especially low *** as-extruded ZM alloy exhibits ultrahigh ductility,with an elongation of up to 82.2%±2.94%.The as-extruded ZM0.35Li alloy shows the best comprehensive mechanical properties,with yield strength,ultimate tensile strength,elongation and hardness of 380±1.6 MPa,449±7.4 MPa,62.3%±4.63%and 98±1.4 HV,*** corrosion rates of the ZM,ZM-0.1Li and ZM-0.35Li alloys are 0.241±0.004,0.206±0.006 and 0.189±0.008 mm/year,*** vitro immersion corrosion rates(after 26 d in SBF solution)of them are 0.134±0.005,0.125±0.004 and 0.121±0.003 mm/year,*** as-extruded ZM-0.35Li alloy exhibits the best corrosion resistance.

The Shanghai advanced proton therapy facility is a proton cancer treatment device designed and built by the Shanghai Institute of applied physics at the Chinese academy of *** accelerator part comprises a proton linear accelerator(linac)injector and a circular *** alternating current current transformer(ACCT)is used for non-intercepting beam current measurement at the drift tube linac *** to the beam characteristics,the ACCT is required to complete real-time beam current and pulse width measurements at currents of3-30 mA,frequencies of 1-10 Hz,and pulse widths of40-400μ*** this paper,we report the design and development of an *** designed ACCT was simulated using CST Microwave Studio,and calibrated using an oscilloscope and signal *** in the output signal of the ACCT were investigated as a function of ceramic gap size,number of coil turns,and *** to the simulation and experimental results,the optimal number of coil turns was found to be *** addition,a low-pass filter was adopted to filter the noise introduced during long-distance signal transmission using a coaxial cable with the length of 20 *** calibration results show that the corresponding rise time of the ACCT is 800 ns with the sensitivity of 8.2 V/A and a droop of less than 1%,meeting the design requirements.

Alzheimer's disease(AD)is a neurodegenerative disease that manifests progressive decline in memory and *** the early stage of AD,memory retrieval is impaired preceding memory acquisition and consolidation(Roy et al.,2016).Prior to the onset of symptoms,pathological amyloid-β(Aβ)plagues and tau protein tangles accumulate in extracellular and intracellular spaces,respectively,leading to *** these hallmark pathologies,Aβ is proposed to be the primary etiology by triggering a cascade of pathogenic events,including neuroinflammation,oxidative stress,tau hyperphosphorylation,synaptic/neuronal dysfunction,and neuronal death(zhang et al.,2023b).
