The recent concurrent emergence of H5N1, H5N6, and H5N8 avian influenza viruses (AIVs) has led to significant avian mortality globally. Since 2020, frequent human-animal interactions have been documented. To gain insight into the novel H5 subtype AIVs (i.e., H5N1, H5N6 and H5N8), we collected 6102 samples from various regions of China between January 2021 and September 2022, and identified 41 H5Nx strains. Comparative analyses on the evolution and biological properties of these isolates were conducted. Phylogenetic analysis revealed that the 41 H5Nx strains belonged to clade 2.***.4.4b, with 13 related to H5N1, 19 to H5N6, and 9 to H5N8. Analysis based on global 2.***.4.4b viruses showed that all the viruses described in this study were likely originated from H5N8, exhibiting a heterogeneous evolutionary history between H5N1 and H5N6 during 2015-2022 worldwide. H5N1 showed a higher rate of evolution in 2021-2022 and more sites under positive selection pressure in 2015-2022. The antigenic profiles of the novel H5N1 and H5N6 exhibited notable variations. Further hemagglutination inhibition assay suggested that some A(H5N1) viruses may be antigenically distinct from the circulating H5N6 and H5N8 strains. Mammalian challenge assays demonstrated that the H5N8 virus (21gD001_H5N8) displayed the highest pathogenicity in mice, followed by the H5N1 virus (B1557_H5N1) and then the H5N6 virus (220086_H5N6), suggesting a heterogeneous virulence profile of H5 AIVs in the mammalian hosts. Based on the above results, we speculate that A(H5N1) viruses have a higher risk of emergence in the future. Collectively, these findings unveil a new landscape of different evolutionary history and biological characteristics of novel H5 AIVs in clade 2.***.4.4b, contributing to a better understanding of designing more effective strategies for the prevention and control of novel H5 AIVs.

The technology of radio frequency fingerprint identification based on deep learning for 5g application

User Equipment(UE) authentication holds paramount importance in upholding the security of wireless networks. A nascent technology, Radio Frequency Fingerprint Identification(RFFI), is gaining prominence as a means to bolster network security *** expedite the integration of RFFI within fifth-generation(5g) networks, this research undertakes the creation of a comprehensive link-level simulation platform tailored for 5g scenarios. The devised platform emulates various device impairments, including an oscillator, IQ modulator, and power amplifier(PA) nonlinearities, alongside simulating channel distortions. Consequent to this, a plausibility analysis is executed, intertwining transmitter device impairments with 3rd generation Partnership Project(3gPP) new radio(NR) protocols. Subsequently, an exhaustive exploration is conducted to assess the impact of transmitter impairments, deep neural networks(DNNs), and channel effects on RF fingerprinting performance. Notably, under a signal-to-noise ratio(SNR) of 15 d B, the deep learning approach demonstrates the capability to accurately classify 100 UEs with a commendable 91% accuracy rate. Through a multifaceted evaluation, it is ascertained that the Attention-based network architecture emerges as the optimal choice for the RFFI task, serving as the new benchmark model for RFFI applications.

High-density polyethylene(HDPE)pipes have gradually become the first choice for gas networks because of their excellent *** the use of pipes increases,there will unavoidably be a significant amount of waste generated when the pipes cease their operation life,which,if improperly handled,might result in major environmental contamination *** this study,the thermal degradation of polyethylene materials is simulated for different pressures(10,50,100,and 150 MPa)and temperatures(2300,2500,2700,and 2900 K)in the framework of Reactive Force Field(ReaxFF)molecular dynamics *** main gas products,density,energy,and the mean square displacement with temperature and pressure are also *** findings indicate that raising the temperature leads to an increase in the production of gas products,while changing the pressure has an impact on the direction in which the products are generated;the faster the temperature drops,the less dense the air;both temperature and pressure increase impact the system’s energy conversion or distribution mechanism,changing the system’s potential energy as well as its total energy;the rate at which molecules diffuse increases with temperature,and decreases with *** results of this investigation provide a theoretical basis for the development of the pyrolytic treatment of polyethylene waste materials.

芬太尼自70年前问世以来,因其既是为满足镇痛管理的正当合理需求而成为不断被研发和生产的药物,又因合成化学知识和技术被国际毒品市场滥用,从而成为各国药物监管、司法、国际禁毒合作的常规性挑战。中美两国的科学研究、医疗和执法部门在芬太尼问题上走过了40多年的机制性交流与合作的过程。拜登政府延续特朗普政府的政策取向,不仅在2023年11月中美元首会晤场合将在美国更严重的芬太尼物质滥用与中国管理涉芬太尼物质的跨国流动程度直接挂钩,而且将之提到与军事交流同等重要的高度,芬太尼问题在两国关系中的分量俨然具有杠杆性。但是,在中美两国,芬太尼问题的叙事都具有多元性。更有效地监管芬太尼物质的跨国流通、打击过程中的违规和非法行为,有赖于双方都从功能性合作的理念出发,强化公共卫生和司法合作两大领域的互动机制。

Chiral transfer amidst one-dimensional linear polymers and twodimensional network covalent organic frameworks:Striking a fine balance between helicity and crystallinity

The current landscape of chiral covalent organic frameworks(COFs)predominantly centered on constructing asymmetric molecular-scale chirality,often introducing an inherent contradiction to the COF symmetry and limiting ***,we overcome these challenges by achieving chiral transfer between one-dimensional(1D)imine linear polymers(LPs)and two-dimensional(2D)networkβ-ketoenamine COFs composed of achiral *** successfully synthesize several 1D imine LPs with mesoscopic helical chirality,comprising achiral C2-symmetric terephthalaldehyde and diamine linkers in a chiral supramolecular transcription *** the irreversible tautomerism mechanism within the linker replacement approach,terephthalaldehyde(TPA)units in these helical 1D LPs are substituted with C3-symmetric 1,3,5-triformylphloroglucinol(TP),yielding the corresponding 2D networkβ-ketoenamine *** and helicity of the resultantβ-ketoenamine COFs intimately hinge on reaction conditions,including the aldehyde stoichiometry of Tp and TPA,as well as the quantity and concentration of the catalyst *** optimized conditions,the nucleation and growth were precisely governed,achieving a harmonious equilibrium of crystallinity and helicity within the generated 2D networkβ-ketoenamine COFs,even with covalent bond rupture,recombination,and topological transition(from[C2+C2]to[C3+C2]).Impressively,the ground state chirality inherent to helical 1D LPs seamlessly transfers to helical 2D networkβ-ketoenamine *** study not only offers new perspectives on the development of chiral functional COFs,but also provides fresh insights into the precise control of COFs'microscopic morphology.

针对复杂成像环境下,水下图像存在颜色失真、细节模糊以及对比度低的问题,提出结合色彩补偿与双背景光融合的水下图像复原方法。通过分析光在水中的吸收衰减特性,提出改进的水下成像模型,基于Retinex理论与白平衡算法引入色彩补偿分量,降低水体背景颜色影响;根据背景光强度和颜色分布特性,提出双候选背景光融合方法,准确估计全局背景光;不依赖任何水体环境参数,根据背景颜色与散射系数的内在关系,采用引导-高通滤波,优化并增强各通道透射率;最后,逆求解成像模型复原水下图像。实验结果表明,在4个不同的水下数据集上与经典及新颖方法对比,所提方法恢复的图像颜色更自然,纹理细节更丰富清晰;色差值改善幅度达5.4%,UCIQE及FDUM指标提升幅度分别达8.3%和4.5%。所提方法在定性和定量实验中更具优势,能够显著提高水下图像质量。
