Towards resilient average consensus in multi-agent systems:a detection and compensation approach

Consensus is one of the fundamental distributed control technologies for collaboration in multi-agent systems such as collaborative handling in intelligent manufacturing.In this paper,we study the problem of resilient average consensus for multi-agent systems with misbehaving nodes.To protect consensus value from being influenced by misbehaving nodes,we address this problem by detecting misbehaviors,mitigating the corresponding adverse impact,and achieving the resilient average consensus.General types of misbehaviors are considered,including attacks,accidental faults,and link failures.We characterize the adverse impact of misbehaving nodes in a distributed manner via two-hop communication information and develop a deterministic detection compensation based consensus(D-DCC)algorithm with a decaying fault-tolerant error bound.Considering scenarios wherein information sets are intermittently available due to link failures,a stochastic extension named stochastic detection compensation based consensus(S-DCC)algorithm is proposed.We prove that D-DCC and S-DCC allow nodes to asymptotically achieve resilient accurate average consensus and unbiased resilient average consensus in a statistical sense,respectively.Then,the Wasserstein distance is introduced to analyze the accuracy of S-DCC.Finally,extensive simulations are conducted to verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithms.

The transportation of magma in sedimentary basins often occurs through extensive dyke-sill networks.The role of sills on the plumbing system in rifted margins and the impact of sills on hydrocarbon reservoirs of prospective sedimentary basins has long been an area of great industrial interest and scientific debate.Based on 2D seismic reflection,we present data on how the sills emplaced to form a magmatic plumbing system of the volcanic system for the Zhongjiannan Basin(ZJNB).The results show that sixty-nine sills and fourteen forced folds have been identified.The distribution and geometry of the sills suggest that magma flowed from west to east and then ascended to near the surface.The onlap relationship of the forced folds indicates that the timing of magmatic activities can be constrained at ca.0.2 Ma.The spatial and temporal occurrences of intrusions imply that the strong post-rift magmatism in ZJNB was associated with the Hainan mantle plume arising from the core-mantle boundary.Furthermore,these forced folds could produce several types of hydrocarbon traps,due to accommodation through bending and uplift of the overlying rock and free surface,but it is critical to evaluate the effect of such emplacement when setting exploration targets.

Toward practical gas sensing with rapid recovery semiconducting carbon nanotube film sensors

Nanomaterials have been considered as promising materials to construct highly sensitive and miniaturized gas sensors due to their high ratio of surface to volume, but almost all of the reported nanomaterials based resistive gas sensors are difficult to use in the practical system mainly owing to the long recovery time and non-equilibrium state at room temperature. here, we demonstrate a gate assistant technology to realize the rapid recovery to an equilibrium state in semiconducting carbon nanotube(CNT) thin-film gas sensors and promote the CNT-based gas sensors to reach the practical application level. Specifically, we construct highly uniform gas sensors based on semiconducting solution-derived CNT film and accelerate the gas molecules desorption by applying a voltage on the back gate(substrate), which is named gate-assistant recovery technology. By combining the gate-assistant recovery technology and a modified concentration calculation method, highly reproducible detection systems have been realized by using a custom-built printed circuit board(PCB) based data acquisition circuits to execute a real-time rapid detection of H2 in the air at room temperature, and especially exhibits a record response time of 9 s and recovery time of 50 s under a resolution of 10 ppm, which outperformed previous low dimensional nanomaterials based portable H2 detection systems. The gate-assistant rapid recovery and related concentration calculation technologies are helpful to promote the nanomaterials-based gas sensors to practical application for highly sensitive online gas detection.

Microstructure evolution and phase transformation of the mushy zone in a quenchedβ-solidifying TiAl alloy

This study investigates the phase constitutions and transformations that occur in the mushy zone and in the adjacent phase fields of a directionally solidified Ti-44Al-8Nb-1Cr alloy via quenching technique.The results indicate that the mushy zone consists of unmeltedβdendrites and interdendritic liquid,whose formation can be attributed to the difference in melting point aroused by local heterogeneity in solutecontent.Theβdendrite is composed of numerous subgrains with various orientations.During quenching,theβdendrite transforms into Widmanstättenαvia a precipitation reaction,owing to the decreasing cooling rate caused by heat transfer from the surrounding liquid.Additionally,after quenching,the interdendritic liquid is transformed intoγplates.Within the singleβphase field and the lower part of the mushy zone,a massive transformation ofβtoγoccurs.Conversely,in theβ+αphase field,bothβandαphases are retained to ambient temperature.During the heating process,the transformation ofα→βgives rise to the formation ofβvariants,which affects the orientation ofβdendrites in the mushy zone.The growth kinematics of theα→βtransformation was elucidated,revealing the preferential growth directions of111and112forβvariants.Furthermore,this study presents an illustration of the formation process of the mushy zone and the microstructural evolution during the heating and quenching process.

Tribological Behaviors of Electroless Nickel-Boron Coating on Titanium Alloy Surface

Titanium alloys are excellent structural materials in engineering fields,but their poor tribological properties limit their further applications.Electroless plating is an effective method to enhance the tribological performance of alloys,but it is difficult to efficiently apply to titanium alloys,due to titanium alloy’s strong chemical activity.In this work,the electroless Nickel-Boron(Ni-B)coating was successfully deposited on the surface of titanium alloy(Ti-6AL-4V)via a new pre-treatment process.Then,linearly reciprocating sliding wear tests were performed to evaluate the tribological behaviors of titanium alloy and its electroless Ni-B coatings.It was found that the Ni-B coatings can decrease the wear rate of the titanium alloy from 19.89×10^(−3)mm^(3)to 0.41×10^(−3)mm^(3),which attributes to the much higher hardness of Ni-B coatings.After heat treatment,the hardness of Ni-B coating further increases corresponding to coating crystallization and hard phase formation.However,heat treatment does not improve the tribological performance of Ni-B coating,due to the fact that higher brittleness and more severe oxidative wear exacerbate the damage of heat-treated coatings.Furthermore,the Ni-B coatings heat-treated both in air and nitrogen almost present the same tribological performance.The finding of this work on electroless coating would further extend the practical applications of titanium alloys in the engineering fields.

Study of Shifted UV Emission Peak of ZnO Nanowire Arrays

We have obtained vertically aligned ZnO nanowire arrays synthesized by microwave-assisted heating method with different growth time.From the room-temperature PL measurement,the strong deep-level emission and weak near band edge(NBE)emission can be seen.The deep-level emissions became weaker and deep-level emissions became stronger when the samples were annealed at 300℃for 30 min,meanwhile,the NBE emission peaks get red-shifted with growth time,and the longer the growth time,the more the peak shifting.This phenomenon can be attributed that the diameter of ZnO nanowires increases with growth time.This PL emission phenomenon is important in research of optoelectronic application.

Non-Cooperative Differential Game Based Load Balancing Algorithm in Radio-Over-Fibre System

Load balancing plays a critical role in a cellular network. As one kind of cellular network, Radio-over-Fibre (RoF) system can provide ubiquitous high data-rate transmissions, which has attracted many attentions, but it also suffer load unbalancing problem. In order to improve the system performance, in this paper, we propose a novel loading balance scheme in RoF system based on differential game theory. The scheme formulates the load allocated to each RAP (Radio Access Point) as a Nash Equilibrium, using noncooperative differential game to obtain the optical load allocation of each RAP. The simulations performed show that the non-cooperative differential game algorithm is applicable and the optimal load solution can be achieved.

ENST00000535926 is an unfavorable prognosis-related and tumorpromoting transcript of the CHPF gene in luminal A and B breast cancer

Chondroitin sulfate synthase 2(CHPF)is characterized as an oncogenic and poor prognosis-related gene in breast cancer.However,this gene has alternative splicing products encoding proteins of different lengths.Breast cancer is a group of heterogeneous tumors with distinct clinical and genomic characteristics.In this study,we explored the expression profile and prognostic value of the two transcripts of CHPF using data from The Cancer Genome Atlas(TCGA)-BRCA.The functional regulation of the two transcripts was also studied in MCF-7 and BT-474 cells.Among the two transcripts of CHPF,ENST00000535926 expression was significantly upregulated in the tumor samples and was the dominant isoform.ENST00000535926,but not ENST00000243776 upregulation,was associated with significantly worse progression-free survival(PFS)and disease-specific survival(DSS)in luminal A/B cases.However,no significant association was observed in PFS or DSS in other Prediction Analysis of Microarray 50(PAM50)subgroups.CHPF isoform 2 protein(encoded by ENST00000535926)significantly elevated the expression of P3H1 and RCN3 at the mRNA and protein levels in MCF-7 and BT-474 cells.The effect of ENST00000535926 was significantly stronger than ENST00000243776 in promoting tumor cell colony formation.The expression of P3H1 and RCN3 was negatively correlated with CD8+T cell infiltration but was positively correlated with cancer-associated fibroblast infiltration in luminal A/B tumors.In summary,this study revealed that ENST00000535926 is an unfavorable prognosis-related and tumor-promoting transcript of the CHPF gene in luminal A/B breast cancer.
