Efficient degradation of aqueous dichloromethane by an enhanced microbial electrolysis cell:Degradation kinetics,microbial community and metabolic mechanisms

Dichloromethane(DCM)has been listed as a toxic and harmful water pollutant,and its re moval needs *** electrolysis cells(MECs)are viewed as a promising alterna tive for pollutant removal,which can be strengthened from two aspects:microbial inocula tion and *** this study,the MEC for DCM degradation was inoculated with the ac tive sludge enhanced by Methylobacterium rhodesianum H13(strain H13)and then acclimated in the form of a microbial fuel cell(MFC).Both the introduction of strain H13 and the initi ation in MFC form significantly promoted DCM *** degradation kinetics were fitted by the Haldane model,with V_(max),K_(h),K_(i)and v_(max)values of 103.2 mg/L/hr,97.8 mg/L268.3 mg/L and 44.7 mg/L/hr/cm^(2),*** cyclic voltammogram implies that DCM redox reactions became easier with the setup of MEC,and the electrochemical impedance spectrogram shows that the acclimated and enriched microbes reduced the charge transfe resistance from the electrode to the *** the biofilm,the dominant genera shifted from Geobacter to Hyphomicrobium in acclimation ***,Methylobacterium played an increasingly important *** metabolism mainly occurred through the hydrolytic glutathione S-transferase pathway,given that the gene dcmA was identified rather than the dhlA and P450/*** exogenous electrons facilitated the reduction of GSSG,directly o indirectly accelerating the GSH-catalyzed *** study provides support fo the construction of an efficient and stable MEC for DCM removal in water environment.

A single micro-LED manipulation system based on micro-gripper

Micro-LEDs(μLEDs) have advantages in terms of brightness, power consumption, and response speed. In addition, they can also be used as micro-sensors implanted in the body via flexible electronic skin. One of the key techniques involved in the fabrication of μLED-based devices is transfer printing. Although numerous methods have been proposed for transfer printing, improving the yield of μLED arrays is still a formidable task. In this paper, we propose a novel method for improving the yield of μLED arrays transferred by the stamping method, using an innovative design of piezoelectrically driven asymmetric micro-gripper. Traditional grippers are too large to manipulate μLEDs, and therefore two micro-sized cantilevers are added at the gripper tips. A μLED manipulation system is constructed based on the micro-gripper together with a three-dimensional positioning system. Experimental results using this system show that it can be used successfully to manipulate μLED arrays.

Paclitaxel-lipid prodrug liposomes for improved drug delivery and breast carcinoma therapy

Paclitaxel(PTX)is widely applied for the treatment of unresectable and metastasis breast carcinoma as well as other cancers,whereas its efficacy is always impeded by poor *** are one kind of the most successful drug carriers which are capable of solubilizing PTX and improving patients’tolerance owing to excellent biocompatibility and ***,poor compatibility between PTX and liposomes compromises the stability,drug loading and anti-tumor capacity of liposomal *** address this issue,three lipids with various chain lengths,namely,myristic acid(MA,14C),palmitic acid(PA,16C)and stearic acid(SA,18C),were conjugated to PTX via ester bonds and the synthesized prodrugs with high lipophilicity were further formulated into liposomes,*** liposomes show high stability and drug loadings,as well as sustained drug *** chain lengths of lipids are negatively correlated with drug release and enzymatic conversion rates,which further impact the pharmacokinetics,tumor accumulation,and anti-tumor efficacy of liposomal *** rapid nor slow drug release facilitates high tumor accumulation as well as anti-tumor efficacy of *** all liposomes,PTX-PA-loaded liposomes show the longest circulation and highest tumor accumulation of PTX and exert the most potent anti-tumor capacities in vivo,owing to its moderate drug release and enzymatic conversion *** its superior safety,PTX-PA liposomes hold potential for further clinical translation.

硫酸盐环境下MKPC浆体干湿循环制度设计及性能评价

为评价硫酸盐干湿循环耦合作用下磷酸钾镁水泥(MKPC)浆体的力学性能和物理性能,根据GB/T 3810.3—2016测试方法,通过真空保水和不同温度的真空烘干试验,设计出适用于MKPC浆体试件的干湿制度。遵循设计的干湿制度,测试MKPC试件在硫酸盐环境下进行不同干湿循环次数和全浸泡不同龄期的质量损失、强度变化。试验结果如下:经过反复试验,以相邻两次质量变化率<0.1%为标准,设计出MKPC试件1个干湿循环周期为72 h。MKPC试件在5%Na_(2)SO_(4)溶液干湿循环120次后其抗折强度、抗压强度较未干湿循环试件的强度分别下降24.44%、18.63%,质量损失为4.12%;在5%Na_(2)SO_(4)溶液浸泡360 d后,MKPC试件的抗折强度较未浸泡的强度下降1.23%,抗压强度较未浸泡的试件强度增加1.11%,质量损失为1.54%。因此,MKPC试件在干湿循环作用下对抗折强度变化和质量损失更加敏感。

Defect passivation is one of the most important strategies to boost both the efficiency and stability of perovskite solar cells(PSCs).Here,nontoxic and sustainable forest-based biomaterial,betulin,is first introduced into *** experiments and calculations reveal that betulin can effectively passivate the uncoordinated lead ions in perovskites via sharing the lone pair electrons of hydroxyl group,promoting charge *** a result,the power conversion efficiencies of the p-i-n planar PSCs remarkably increase from 19.14%to 21.15%,with the improvement of other *** hydrogen bonds of betulin lock methylamine and halogen ions along the grain boundaries and on the film surface and thus suppress ion migration,further stabilizing perovskite crystal *** positive effects enable the PSCs to maintain 90%of the initial efficiency after 30 days in ambient air with 60%±5%relative humidity,75%after 300 h aging at 85℃,and 55%after 250 h light soaking,*** work opens a new pathway for using nontoxic and low-cost biomaterials from forest to make highly efficient and stable PSCs.

The Effectiveness of Psychotherapy on Posttraumatic Stress Disorder in Soldier:A Systematic Review

The objective of this systematic review is to examine the effectiveness of psychotherapy in treating Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder(PTSD)in military ***,Web of Science,The Cochrane Library,EBSCO and CNKI databases were searched from 1 January,2000 to November 2022 for Randomized Controlled Trials(RCTs)on psychotherapeutic interventions for military *** physical Therapy Evidence Database(PEDro)scale was used to evaluate the quality of the *** researchers conducted literature screening,data extraction,and risk bias assessment in accordance with inclusion and exclusion ***,49 RCTs were included,involving a total of 5073 veterans,retired and active military from four *** average score on the PEDro scale was *** primary psychotherapeutic modalities for military PTSD intervention include Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy,Exposure Therapy,Mindfulness interventions,psychotherapy based on new technological tools,and other emerging psychotherapeutic *** review highlights that Cognitive Processing Therapy(CPT)and Prolonged Exposure Therapy(PET)stand out as the primary psychotherapeutic modalities for treating PTSD in military *** cases where CPT and PET yield limited benefits,Mindfulness interventions emerge as effective ***,considering the diverse needs and high dropout rates in the military,population,the review suggests using web-based,computer,and virtual reality technology tools as supplements to first-line treatments(CPT/PET)to enhance overall intervention *** the advancement of future psychotherapeutic initiatives,there is a pronounced emphasis on prioritizing proven first-line interventions,CPT and PET while also recognizing the potential of mindfulness-based interventions as credible *** tandem with this,the active integration of technological tools is advocated to amplify the therapeutic impact of conventional psychological treatment modalities.

Ocean wave energy is a significant and promising source of renewable ***,the energy harvesting is challenging due to the multi-directional nature of *** paper proposes a magnetic-field-assisted triboelectric nanogenerator(MFATENG)for harvesting multi-directional wave *** incorporating a magnetic field,the planar motion of the pendulum is converted into spatial motion,increasing the triggering of multilayered TENG(M-TENG)and enhancing the output energy of the *** results demonstrate that the output energy of the MFA-TENG is increased by 73%by utilizing the magnetic ***,a spring model based on the origami-structured M-TENG is established to analyze the effect of different equivalent stiffnesses on the performance of the M-TENG,aiming to obtain optimal output *** results showcase the impressive output performance of the M-TENG,generating outputs of 250 V,18μA,and 255 ***,the proposed MFA-TENG effectively harvests multi-directional wave energy under water-wave driven *** study significantly enhances the ability of the MFA-TENG to harvest multi-directional wave energy and presents a promising approach for self-powered marine monitoring in the future.

Existing depth completion methods are often targeted at a specific sparse depth type and generalize poorly across task *** present a method to complete sparse/semi-dense,noisy,and potentially low-resolution depth maps obtained by various range sensors,including those in modern mobile phones,or by multi-view reconstruction *** method leverages a data-driven prior in the form of a single image depth prediction network trained on large-scale datasets,the output of which is used as an input to our *** propose an effective training scheme where we simulate various sparsity patterns in typical task *** addition,we design two new benchmarks to evaluate the generalizability and robustness of depth completion *** simple method shows superior cross-domain generalization ability against state-of-the-art depth completion methods,introducing a practical solution to highqualitydepthcapture onamobile device.
