Soil moisture plays a crucial role in drought monitoring,flood forecasting,and water resource *** assimilation methods can integrate the strengths of land surface models(LSM)and remote sensing data to generate highprecision and spatio-temporally continuous soil moisture ***,one of the challenges of the land data assimilation system(LDAS)is how to accurately estimate model and observation *** address this,we had previously proposed a dualcycle assimilation algorithm that can simultaneously estimate the model and observation errors,LSM parameters,and observation operator ***,this algorithm requires a large ensemble size to guarantee stable parameter estimates,resulting in low efficiency and limiting its large-scale *** address this limitation,the authors employed the following approaches:(1)using automatic differentiation to compute the Jacobian matrix of LSM instead of constructing a tangent linear model of LSM,and(2)replacing the ensemble Kalman filter framework with the extended Kalman filter(EKF)framework to improve the efficiency of parameter optimization for the dual-cycle *** EKF-based dual-cycle algorithm accelerated the parameter estimation efficiency near 60 times during a 90-day time period with a model integration time step of 1 *** evaluate the dual-cycle LDAS at the regional-scale,it was applied to assimilate the SMAP soil moisture over the Tibetan Plateau,and soil moisture estimates were validated using in situ observations from four different climatic *** results showed that the EKF-based dual-cycle LDAS corrected biases in both the model and observations and produced more accurate estimates of soil moisture,land surface temperature,and evapotranspiration than did the open loop with default ***,the spatial distribution of soil parameters(sand content,clay content,and porosity)obtained from the LDAS was more reasonable than those of default *** EKF-based

At present,endometriosis remains a worldwide health burden,with the main symptoms of dysmenorrhea,chronic pelvic pain,and infertility,markedly reducing the quality of life(de Ziegler et al.,2010).Although there is no proof that the disease is associated with high mortality,this disorder can significantly contribute to the deterioration of women’s general well-being(McPeak et al.,2018).

Killing bacteria,eliminating biofilm and building soft tissue integration are very important for percutaneous implants which service in a complicated *** order to endow Ti implants with above abilities,multifunctional coatings consisted of Fe_(2)O_(3)-FeOOH nanograins as an outer layer and Zn doped microporous TiO2 as an inner layer were fabricated by micro-arc oxidation,hydrothermal treatment and annealing *** microstructures,physicochemical properties and photothermal response of the coatings were observed;their antibacterial efficiencies and cell response in vitro as well as biofilm elimination and soft tissue integration in vivo were *** results show that with the increased annealing temperature,coating morphologies didn’t change obviously,but lattices of β-FeOOH gradually disorganized into amorphous state and rearranged to form Fe_(2)O_(3).The coating annealed at 450℃(MA450)had nanocrystallized Fe_(2)O_(3) and β-*** a proper NIR irradiation strategy,MA450 killed adhered bacteria efficiently and increased fibroblast behaviors via up-regulating fibrogenic-related genes in vitro;in an infected model,MA450 eliminated biofilm,reduced inflammatory response and improved biointegration with soft *** good performance of MA450 was due to a synergic effect of photothermal response and released ions(Zn^(2+)and Fe^(3+)).

目的:观察蛇床子、花椒、白矾、苦参加减辨治对外阴阴道炎临床疗效和对阴道微环境的影响。方法:选取120例外阴阴道炎患者随机分为观察组60例和对照组60例,对照组采用硝呋太尔制霉菌素阴道软膏治疗,观察组采用蛇床子、花椒、白矾、苦参加减辨治药方进行熏洗治疗。比较两组治疗前后临床疗效和阴道微环境变化情况。结果:观察组临床疗效总有效率(95.0%)高于对照组(81.7%),差异具有统计学意义(P<0.05);治疗后,两组阴道pH值、阴道清洁度、阴道菌群密集度均优于治疗前(P<0.05),且观察组优于对照组(P<0.05),两组阴道过氧化氢阳性率、白细胞酯酶阳性率均低于治疗前(P<0.05),且观察组低于对照组(P<0.05)。结论:中药蛇床子、花椒、白矾、苦参加减辨治方对外阴阴道炎有良好疗效,同时可有效改善阴道微环境。

Micro-nano-fabrication of green functional materials by multiphase microfluidics for environmental and energy applications

Multiphase microfluidic has emerged as a powerful platform to produce novel materials with tailor-designed functionalities, as microfluidic fabrication provides precise controls over the size, component, and structure of resultant materials. Recently, functional materials with welldefined micro-/nanostructures fabricated by microfluidics find important applications as environmental and energy materials. This review first illustrated in detail how different structures or shapes of droplet and jet templates are formed by typical configurations of microfluidic channel networks and multiphase flow systems. Subsequently, recent progresses on several representative energy and environmental applications, such as water purification, water collecting and energy storage, were overviewed. Finally, it is envisioned that integrating microfluidics and other novel materials will play increasing important role in contributing environmental remediation and energy storage in near future.

A novel relationship between elastic modulus and void ratio associated with principal stress for coral calcareous sand

Elastic moduli,*** modulus G and bulk modulus K,are important parameters of geotechnical materials,which are not only the indices for the evaluation of the deformation ability of soils but also the important basic parameters for the development of the constitutive models of geotechnical *** this study,a series of triaxial loading-unloading-reloading shear tests and isotropic loading-unloadingreloading tests are conducted to study several typical mechanical properties of coral calcareous sand(CCS),and the void ratio evolution during loading,unloading and *** test results show that the stress-strain curves during multiple unloading processes are almost parallel,and their slopes are much greater than the deformation modulus at the initial stage of *** relationship between the confining pressure and the volumetric strain can be defined approximately by a hyperbolic equation under the condition of monotonic loading of confining *** the condition of confining pressure unloading,the evolution of void ratio is linear in the e-lnp0 plane,and these lines are a series of almost parallel lines if there are multiple processes of *** on the experimental results,it is found that the modified Hardin formulae for the elastic modulus estimation have a significant deviation from the tested values for *** on the experimental results,it is proposed that the elastic modulus of soils should be determined by the intersection line of two spatial surfaces in the G/K-e-p’/pa space(pa:atmosphere pressure).“Ye formulation”is further proposed for the estimation of the elastic modulus of *** new estimation formulation for soil elastic modulus would provide a new method to accurately describe the mechanical behavior of granular soils.

Boosting transcorneal permeability and pharmacological activity of drug poses a great challenge in the field of ocular drug *** the present study,we propose a drug-peptide supramolecular hydrogel based on anti-inflammatory drug,dexamethasone(Dex),and Arg-Gly-Asp(RGD)motif for boosting transcorneal permeability and pharmacological activity via the ligand-receptor *** drug-peptide(Dex-SA-RGD/RGE)supramolecular hydrogel comprised of uniform nanotube architecture formed spontaneously in phosphate buffered saline(PBS,pH=7.4)without external *** storage at 4℃,25℃,and 37℃ for 70 days,Dex-SA-RGD in hydrogel did not undergo significant hydrolysis,suggesting great long-term *** comparison to Dex-SA-RGE,Dex-SA-RGD exhibited a more potent in vitro anti-inflammatory efficacy in lipopolysaccharide(LPS)-activated RAW 264.7 macrophages via the inhibition of nuclear factorкB(NF-κB)signal *** importantly,using drug-peptide supramolecular hydrogel labeled with 7-nitro-2,1,3-benzoxadiazole(NBD),the Dex-SA-K(NBD)RGD showed increased performance in terms of integrin targeting and cellular uptake compared to Dex-SA-K(NBD)RGE,as revealed by cellular uptake *** topical instillation in rabbit’s eye,the proposed Dex-SA-K(NBD)RGD could effectively enhance the transcorneal distribution and permeability with respect to the Dex-SA-K(NBD)***,our findings demonstrate the performance of the ligand-receptor interaction for boosting transcorneal permeability and pharmacological activity of drug.

Post-acute ischemic stroke hyperglycemia aggravates destruction of the blood-brain barrier

Post-acute ischemic stroke hyperglycemia increases the risk of hemorrhagic transformation, which is associated with blood-brain barrier disruption. Brain microvascular endothelial cells are a major component of the blood-brain barrier. Intercellular mitochondrial transfer has emerged as a novel paradigm for repairing cells with mitochondrial dysfunction. In this study, we first investigated whether mitochondrial transfer exists between brain microvascular endothelial cells, and then investigated the effects of post-acute ischemic stroke hyperglycemia on mitochondrial transfer between brain microvascular endothelial cells. We found that healthy brain microvascular endothelial cells can transfer intact mitochondria to oxygen glucose deprivation-injured brain microvascular endothelial cells. However, post-oxygen glucose deprivation hyperglycemia hindered mitochondrial transfer and exacerbated mitochondrial dysfunction. We established an in vitro brain microvascular endothelial cell model of the blood-brain barrier. We found that post-acute ischemic stroke hyperglycemia reduced the overall energy metabolism levels of brain microvascular endothelial cells and increased permeability of the blood-brain barrier. In a clinical study, we retrospectively analyzed the relationship between post-acute ischemic stroke hyperglycemia and the severity of hemorrhagic transformation. We found that post-acute ischemic stroke hyperglycemia serves as an independent predictor of severe hemorrhagic transformation. These findings suggest that post-acute ischemic stroke hyperglycemia can aggravate disruption of the blood-brain barrier by inhibiting mitochondrial transfer.

目的探讨女性生活方式与绝经相关症状的相关性。方法采用多阶段分层整群抽样方法抽取浙江省40~69岁女性7 856名进行问卷调查,有序变量采用Mantel-Haenszel检验,无序变量采用Kruskal-Wallis H检验,联合多因素logistic回归分析对生活方式与绝经相关症状的相关性进行分析,绘制ROC曲线。结果年龄与绝经及绝经相关症状均具有相关性(P<0.05)。生活方式中被动吸烟、饮酒、饮茶、体育锻炼强度、烫染发频率(P<0.05)均与绝经相关症状具有相关性。年龄大(OR=1.103,95%CI:1.094~1.112)、绝经(OR=4.011,95%CI:3.573~4.503)、家属吸烟(OR=1.346,95%CI:1.206~1.501)和工作环境被动吸烟(OR=1.432,95%CI:1.175~1.745)均是绝经相关症状的危险因素(P<0.05)。低强度体育锻炼(OR=0.881,95%CI:0.822~0.944)、低频率烫发(OR=0.823,95%CI:0.774~0.876)均是绝经相关症状的保护因素(P<0.05)。生活方式相关因素预测绝经相关症状的ROC曲线下面积为0.731。结论浙江省40~69岁女性生活方式与绝经相关症状具有相关性,可以对女性进行生活方式指导以减少或缓解绝经相关症状。

Introduction of the strategy of anhydrous calcium carbonate protection incorporated with the drop by drop reaction,high-purity 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride([Bmim]Cl)was prepared at reaction temperature of 80°C for only 10 *** samples from different biomass sources(with different degree of polymerization characteristic)could be rapidly(no more than 10 minutes)and completely dissolved in the[Bmim]Cl using a microwave-assisted ionothermal *** cellulosic regenerates with high degree of polymerization and thermal stability characteristics were obtained through a coagulation process in ***,the dissolved celluloses were readily regenerated into solid products such as casting films and spinning fibers,which exhibited high transparency and flexibility,as well as superior mechanical properties of over 300 MPa(tensile strength)more than those of cellulose samples *** study therefore provides a new process for the synthesis of high-purity[Bmim]Cl for the highly efficient dissolution of cellulose to produce high performance cellulosic materials for various applications such as flexible electronic,optoelectronic,soft robots.
