Rational design of phosphonate/quaternary amine block polymer as an high-efficiency antibacterial coating for metallic substrates

Developing advanced technologies to address the bacterial associated infections is an urgent requirement for metallic implants and ***,we report a novel phosphonate/quaternary amine block polymer as the high-efficiency antibacterial coating for metallic *** pDEMMP-b-pTMAEMA block polymers that bearing identical phosphonate segments(repeat units of 15)but varied cationic segments(repeat units of 8,45,and 70)were precisely *** cationic polymer coatings were constructed on TC4 substrates based on the strong covalent binding between phosphonate group and metallic *** relationship between the segment chain length of the polymer coating and the antibacterial property endowed to the substrates have been established based on quantitative and qualitative *** showed that the antibacterial rate of the modified TC4 surface were 95.8%of *** and 92.9%of *** cells ***,unlike the cationic free polymer or cationic hydrogels,the surface anchored cationic polymers do compromise the viability of the attached C2C12 cells but without significant *** addition,the phosphonate/quate rnary amine block polymers can be easily constructed on titanium,stainless steel,and Ni/Cr alloy with significantly improved antibacterial property,indicating the generality of the block polymer for surface antibacterial modification of bio-metals.

Epidemiological characteristics of centenarian deaths in China during 2013-2020:A trend and subnational analysis

Background:Studies that comprehensively address the characteristics of centenarian deaths are *** present study aimed to depict the characteristics of centenarian deaths in China and their changing ***:Data on centenarian deaths between 2013 and 2020 were obtained from the national mortality surveillance system of China,including date,place of death(PoD),and underlying cause of death(CoD).Descriptive analyses were performed to understand the epidemiological characteristics,and a joinpoint regression model was adopted to examine the changing trends in the proportions of different PoDs,CoDs among centenarians,and centenarian deaths accounting for all deaths and deaths among people aged 65 years and ***:There were 46,938 registered centenarian deaths between 2013 and 2020 that included 34,311 females(73.10%)and 12,627 males(26.90%).January(12.05%),February(9.99%),and December(9.74%)were the top three months with the highest number of *** proportions of deaths that occurred in homes,hospitals,and nursing homes were 81.71%,13.63%,and 2.68%,*** proportion of deaths in nursing homes increased by 9.60%(95%confidence intervals[CIs],6.4-12.9%)from 2014 to *** disease(35.72%)was the leading cause of death,followed by respiratory diseases(17.63%),cerebrovascular disease(15.60%),and old age(11.22%).The proportion of respiratory diseases decreased by 4.8%(95%CI,-8.8 to-0.7%),and the proportion of deaths from old age decreased by 2.3%(95%CI,-4.4 to-0.1%)per *** had the highest proportions of deaths in hospitals(39.38%)and nursing homes(14.68%).Sichuan had the highest proportion of deaths attributed to respiratory diseases(32.30%),while Jiangsu(26.58%)and Zhejiang(23.61%)had the highest proportions of deaths from old ***:Unlike other countries,centenarian deaths in China are characterized by a higher proportion of home and heart disease deaths,and this death pattern differs across provinces.

目的:探讨奥美拉唑、垂体后叶素、奥曲肽在门脉高压性胃病急性出血中的不同治疗效果。方法:收治门脉高压性胃病急性出血患者90例,按照患者使用的不同治疗药物进行分组:使用奥曲肽的30例患者为A组,使用垂体后叶素的30例患者为B组,使用奥美拉唑的30例患者为C组。结果:止血成功率:A组100%,B组63.33%,C组56.67%;输血量:A组(477±316)m L,B组(696±454)m L,C组(619±57)m L;不良反应率:A组10%,B组40%,C组3.33%。三组之间差异均有统计学意义(P<0.05)。结论:对于PHG急性出血,奥曲肽兼具显著疗效与安全性,奥美拉唑疗效尚可但安全性高。

In this study,the data of 16,824 individual suicide deaths were collected by the Disease Surveillance Points System(DSPs)and estimated to investigate characteristics of suicide deaths in China in *** descriptions of DSPs have been reported elsewhere(1).These data on suicide deaths were stratified by gender,area type(urban/rural)*,and region(eastern†/central§/western¶).The International Classification of Disease,10th revision(ICD-10)was used to analyze methods of suicide by calculating the proportions of the various methods.

Introduction Chronic and non-communicable diseases(NCDs)have become an important public health concern in *** aimed to estimate the incidence,prevalence,and mortality of four major NCDs including cardiovascular disease(CVD),cancer,chronic respiratory diseases(CRD),and diabetes in China during *** The general analytic framework of Global Burden of Diseases Study 2017(GBD 2017)was *** from Disease Surveillance Point System,censuses,and Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention Cause-of-Death Reporting System were used for mortality *** surveys,cancer registries,and published studies were used for incidence and prevalence *** In 2017,new cases for CVD,cancer,and diabetes were 13.5,4.6,and 3.3 million,an increase of 120.4%,159.7%,and 57.3%respectively compared with *** were 9.6 million incident cases for CRD in 2017,a 4.9%decrease compared with 1990.A total of 8.1 million people died from cancer,CVD,CRD,and diabetes in China in *** was a substantial decline in age-standardized mortality rate for CRD and a steady but slow decline for CVD and *** 1990-2017,the age-standardized prevalence rate increased by 7.4%,135.2%,and 17.0%for CVD,cancer,and diabetes *** and Implications for Public Health Practice The accumulated prevalence of the four major NCDs are increasing but the age-standardized mortality rate for CVD,cancer,and CRD has been on a decline during *** effective intervention strategies should be developed to deal with the continuously increasing burden caused by NCDs in China.

[目的]分析2019年中国男性和女性常见恶性肿瘤的疾病负担情况,并探讨1990年和2019年我国不同省(区、市)常见恶性肿瘤发病与死亡的性别差异及其变化。[方法]利用2019年全球疾病负担研究中国数据,分析常见恶性肿瘤的发病率、标化发病率、死亡率、标化死亡率和伤残调整寿命年(disability-adjusted life years,DALY)率指标,计算相应指标的男女性别比(男性比女性)及95%置信区间(CI)。[结果]2019年中国男、女性常见恶性肿瘤发病率性别比为1.54(95%CI:1.49~1.60),死亡率性别比为1.88(95%CI:1.82~1.95)。男、女性常见肿瘤标化发病率性别比为1.71(95%CI:1.65~1.77),标化死亡率性别比为2.20(95%CI:2.13~2.27)。男、女性常见恶性肿瘤DALY率性别比为1.96(95%CI:1.89~2.02)。与1990年相比,2019年常见肿瘤发病率性别比在吉林省、西藏自治区和新疆维吾尔自治区下降明显,死亡率性别比仅在吉林省、天津市、新疆维吾尔自治区和黑龙江省降低,湖南省、四川省和安徽省的发病率和死亡率性别差异均明显增大(P<0.05)。[结论]中国常见恶性肿瘤发病与死亡水平仍存在显著性别差异,部分地区恶性肿瘤的发病、死亡性别差异扩大。根据不同类型肿瘤的性别差异特征,对不同地区和人群有针对性地进行卫生健康知识宣教,合理分配卫生资源,加强肿瘤预防和早诊早治,有利于减轻恶性肿瘤所带来的疾病负担。
