Unified description of different soils based on the superloading and subloading concepts

Geotechnical engineering often involves different types of geomaterials,such as sandy soil and clayey *** studies have confirmed that these soils have some common features,*** mechanical behaviors depend not only on the inherent characteristics but also on their initial *** describe the main mechanical behaviors of different soils within a simple and reasonable constitutive framework is of great significance for the numerical analysis on geotechnical *** paper first introduces a model based on the concepts of superloading and subloading,which considers the“state dependence”(effects of overconsolidation and structure)of soil and only adds two material parameters compared with the Cam-Clay ***,conventional triaxial tests are systematically carried out on four types of soils(***,silty clay,clay,and intermediate soil)with different initial void ratios,and the mechanical similarities and differences of these soils are discussed *** that,six material parameters of these soils are uniformly determined based on the concepts of superloading and subloading,and then used in constitutive calculations to verify the *** calculated results show a good agreement with test data,indicating that the model based on the concepts of superloading and subloading has great potential for describing the general mechanical behaviors of different soils within a unified *** work is expected to be applied to constitutive selection and parameter determination in the geotechnical numerical analysis of complex soil profiles.

3-D Marine CSEM Modeling in General Anisotropic Media by Using an Adaptive Finite Element Approach Based on the Vector-Scalar Potential

We present three-dimensional(3-D)modeling method of marine controlled-source electromagnetic(CSEM)fields in general anisotropic media using an adaptive finite element approach based on the vector-scalar *** modeling is based on the governing Helmholtz equations in the vector-scalar potential *** tetrahedral grids are employed,which can exactly simulate the terrain relief and complex electrical ***,based on the gradient recovery technology,the adaptive finite element approach is used to drive the mesh refinement,and make the finite element solutions converge gradually to the exact *** primary-secondary field approach is used to improve the numerical accuracy of CSEM fields near the source point,where the primary field is calculated by using the quasi-analytical *** accuracy of this approach is verified by a one-dimensional *** 3-D models are used to demonstrate the effectiveness of the adaptive mesh refinement and the influences of dipping anisotropy layer on the marine CSEM responses for both inline and broadside *** complex synthetic model is simulated to show the capability and flexibility of the approach for geometrically complex situations.

Perfluoropentane-based oxygen-loaded nanodroplets reduce microglial activation through metabolic reprogramming

Microglia,the primary immune cells within the brain,have gained recognition as a promising therapeutic target for managing neurodegenerative diseases within the central nervous system,including Parkinson’s *** perfluorocarbon droplets have been reported to not only possess a high oxygen-carrying capacity,but also exhibit remarkable anti-inflammatory ***,the role of perfluoropentane in microglia-mediated central inflammatory reactions remains poorly *** this study,we developed perfluoropentane-based oxygen-loaded nanodroplets(PFP-OLNDs)and found that pretreatment with these droplets suppressed the lipopolysaccharide-induced activation of M1-type microglia in vitro and in vivo,and suppressed microglial activation in a mouse model of Parkinson’s *** suppression led to a reduction in the inflammatory response,oxidative stress,and cell migration capacity in ***,the neurotoxic effects were mitigated,which alleviated neuronal ***,ultrahigh-performance liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry showed that the anti-inflammatory effects of PFP-OLNDs mainly resulted from the modulation of microglial metabolic *** further showed that PFP-OLNDs regulated microglial metabolic reprogramming through the AKT-mTOR-HIF-1α***,our findings suggest that the novel PFP-OLNDs constructed in this study alleviate microglia-mediated central inflammatory reactions through metabolic reprogramming.

Machine learning assisted discovering of new M_(2)X_(3)-type thermoelectric materials

Recent years have witnessed a continuous discovering of new thermoelectric materials which has experienced a paradigm shift from try-and-error efforts to experience-based discovering and first-principles calculation. However, both the experiment and first-principles calculation deriving routes to determine a new compound are time and resources consuming. Here, we demonstrated a machine learning approach to discover new M_(2)X_(3)-type thermoelectric materials with only the composition information. According to the classic Bi_(2)Te_(3) material, we constructed an M_(2)X_(3)-type thermoelectric material library with 720 compounds by using isoelectronic substitution, in which only 101 compounds have crystalline structure information in the Inorganic Crystal Structure Database(ICSD) and Materials Project(MP) database. A model based on the random forest(RF) algorithm plus Bayesian optimization was used to explore the underlying principles to determine the crystal structures from the known compounds. The physical properties of constituent elements(such as atomic mass, electronegativity, ionic radius) were used to define the feature of the compounds with a general formula ^(1)M^(2)M^(1)X^(2)X^(3)X(^(1)M +^(2)M:^(1)X +^(2)X+^(3)X = 2:3). The primary goal is to find new thermoelectric materials with the same rhombohedral structure as Bi_(2)Te_(3) by machine *** final trained RF model showed a high accuracy of 91% on the prediction of rhombohedral compounds. Finally, we selected four important features to proceed with the polynomial fitting with the prediction results from the RF model and used the acquired polynomial function to make further discoveries outside the pre-defined material library.

目的探讨老年脑卒中偏瘫患者伤残接受度(acceptance of disability,AOD)与心理弹性、社会支持的关系。方法采用一般资料问卷、伤残接受度量表、心理弹性量表、社会支持评定量表对124例老年脑卒中偏瘫患者进行调查。结果患者的AOD得分为(81.75±11.51)分,其中88.71%的患者处于中、低度接受水平;Pearson相关分析结果显示AOD与心理弹性、社会支持呈正相关(r=0.449,0.421,P<0.01)。结论大部分老年脑卒中偏瘫患者的AOD有待提高,护理人员可从心理弹性及社会支持入手制订措施,提高患者的AOD。

Spatial and temporal variations of water quality in Cao-E River of eastern China

Evaluation and analysis of water quality variations were performed with integrated consideration of water quality parameters, hydrological-meteorologic and anthropogenic factors in Cao-E River, Zhejiang Province of China. Cao-E River system has been polluted and the water quality of some reaches are inferior to Grade V according to National Surface Water Quality Standard of China （GB2002）. However, mainly polluted indices of each tributary and mainstream are different. Total nitrogen （TN） and total phosphorus （TP） in the water are the main polluted indices for mainstream that varies from 1.52 to 45.85 mg/L and 0.02 to 4.02 mg/L, respectively. TN is the main polluted indices for Sub-watershed Ⅰ, Ⅱ, Ⅳ and Ⅴ（0.76 to 18.27 mg/L）. BOD5 （0.36 to 289.5 mg/L）, CODMn （0.47 to 78.86 mg/L）, TN （0.74 to 31.09 mg/L） and TP （0 to 3.75 mg/L） are the main polluted indices for Sub-watershed Ⅲ. There are tow pollution types along the river including nonpoint source pollution and point source pollution types. Remarkably temporal variations with a few spatial variations occur in nonpoint pollution type reaches （including mainstream, Sub-watershed Ⅰ and Ⅱ） that mainly drained by arable field and/or dispersive rural dwelling district, and the maximum pollutant concentration appears in flooding seasons. It implied that the runoff increases the pollutant concentration of the water in the nonpoint pollution type reaches. On the other hand, remarkably spatial variations occur in the point pollution type reaches （include Sub-watershed Ⅲ, Ⅳ and Ⅴ） and the maximum pollutant concentration appears in urban reaches. The runoff always decreases the pollutant concentration of the river water in the seriously polluted reaches that drained by industrial point sewage. But for the point pollution reaches resulted from centralized town domestic sewage pipeline and from frequent shipping and digging sands, rainfall always increased the concentration of pollutant （TN） in the river water too. Relationship between nutrients and plankton biomass in the turbidity maximum zone of the Pearl River Estuary

Nutrients,dissolved and particulate organic carbon and plankton（bacterio-,phyto-and zoo-）were compared in the turbidity maximum zone（TMZ） and adjacent areas（non-TMZ） in the Pearl River *** results showed that high levels of suspended substances had marked effect on dynamics of nutrients and plankton in the *** on the cluster analysis of total suspended solids（TSS） concentrations,all stations were divided into two groups,TMZ with average TSS of 171 mg/L and non-TMZ of 45 mg/*** substances adsorbed PO^（3-）_4 and dissolved organic carbon,resulting in higher particulate phosphorus and organic carbon（POC）and lower PO^（3-）_4 and DOC in the TMZ,compared to the ***,suspended substances had limited effect on nitrogenous *** growth was light-limited due to high concentrations of suspended substances in the TMZ and a peak of phytoplankton abundance appeared in the *** contrast,the highest bacterial abundance occurred in the TMZ,which was likely partly responsible for low DOC *** peaks of zooplankton abundance observed in the TMZ and non-TMZ in the Pearl River estuary were primarily supported by bacteria and phytoplankton,*** finding implied that high levels of suspended solids in the TMZ affect the trophic balance.

A Pd(Ⅱ)-Catalyzed Oxidative Cyclization for the Preparation of AryI-Fused Six-Membered Nitrogen Heterocycles with 2-Acetoxy Functionality

A Pd（II）-catalyzed oxidative cyclization of olefinic tosylamides was developed for the preparation of aryl-fused and N-containing six-membered heterocycles. Under optimized conditions the reaction proceeded with high activity and selectivity, with yields of up to 83% being obtained. This procedure provides a facile and efficient route to the aforementioned heterocycles with 2-acetoxy functionality.

Recent Progress in the Application of Polyoxometalates for Dye-sensitized/Organic Solar Cells

At present, high efficiency and low fabrication cost are still the main goal that people pursuit for next-generation solar cells such as dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) and organic solar cells (OPVs). Polyoxometalates (POMs), as an environmentally friendly material, are a type of stable, low cost and soluble oxide clusters with desirable features, including highly tunable structural properties, peculiar optoelectronic properties and excellent redox properties. Thus, during the recent years, POMs have been increasingly recognized as important building blocks for DSSCs and OPVs. In this review, the development of various molecular and hybrid materials derived from POMs is discussed with regard to the function in solar cells.
