Mineral provinces and matter provenance of the surficial sediments in the western Philippine Sea:implication for modern sedimentation in West Pacific marginal basin

The characteristics and distribution patterns of detrital minerals （0. 063 -0. 125 mm） in marine sediments provide a significant indicator for the identification of the origin of sediment. The detrital mineral composition of 219 surface sediment samples was ana- lysed to identify the distribution of sediments within the western Philippine Sea. The area can be divided into three mineral provinces ：（Ⅰ） province east of the Philippine Trench, the detrital minerals in this province are mainly composed of calcareous or siliceous organisms, with the addition of volcanogenic minerals from an adjacent island arc; （Ⅱ） middle mineral province, clastic minerals including feldspar, quartz and colorless volcanic glass, sourced from seamounts with intermediate-acid volcanic rock, or erupting intermediate-acid volcano; （Ⅲ） province west of the Palau--Kyushu Ridge, the matter provenance within this province is complex; the small quantity of feldspar and quartz may be sourced from seamounts or erupting volcano with intermediate - acid composition, with a component of volcanic scoria sourced from a volcano erupting on the Palau--Kyushu Ridge. it is suggested that, （ 1 ） Biogenic debris of the study area is closely related to water depth, with the amount of biogenic debris controlled by carbonate lysocline. （2） Volcaniclastic matter derived from the adjacent island arc can be entrained by oceanic currents and transported towards the abyssal basin over a short distance. The weathering products of volcanic rocks of the submarine plateau （e. g. , Benham Plateau） and adjacent ridges provide an important source of detrital sedimentation, and the influence scope of them is constrained by the intensity of submarine weathering. （3） Terrigenous sediments from the continent of Asia and the adjacent Philippine island arc have little influence on the sedimentation of this study area, and the felsic mineral component is probably sourced from volcanic seamounts of intermediate-acid composition.

The influences of the additive CaF2, different molds, mold pre-heating temperature, electromagnetic stirring, and alloying elements on CuCr have been investigated respectively during the preparation of CuCr alloys by thermit-reduction electromagnetic stirring. The results indicate that the reasonable reactant mass ratio of CuO： Cr2O3：Al is 100：140：160; CaF2 can reduce the solidification point of slags to improve the metal separating efficiency from slags; the crystal particles become thinner because of the high cooling velocity in the metal mold; while casting in the graphite mold, the casting properties of CuCr improve with the increase of pre-heating temperature; the compact alloys are prepared at 500℃; electromagnetic stirring can prevent the growth of dendrite crystal into refine crystal particles, as well as homogenize Cu and Cr to improve the CuCr properties; the optimal stirring time is 7 min; when the alloying elements Ni and Co are added to the reactants, elements Cu and Cr can distribute evenly but the crystal particles become thick.

The highly （1301） oriented triple system of [CoPt/C]n/Ag films was deposited on glass substrates by DC and RF magnetron sputtering. After annealing at 600℃ for 30 min, thin films become magnetically hard with coercivities in the range of 160-875 kA/m because of high anisotropy associated with the L10 ordered phase. C doping plays an important role in improving （001） texture and reducing the intergrain interactions. The oriented growth of CoPt films was influenced strongly by the number of repetitions （n） of CoPt/C. By controlling the C content and the number of repetitions （n） of CoPt/C, nearly perfect （001） orientation can be obtained in the [CoPt3nm/C3nm]5/Ag50 nm.

Dye sensitization is a fundamental function for solar cell and silver halide (AgX) microcrystal to increase the optoelectronic conversion efficiency. In this paper, the spectral properties and self-assembled structure of three types of cyanine dyes, adsorbed both on (100) surface of 0.4 μm AgBr cubic crystal and (111) surface of 1.8 μm AgBr tabular crystal, were studied with combination of spectroscopy and atomic force microscopy (AFM) technique. Rectangular aggregation structure is formed on the crystal faces of (100) and (111) for both anionic and cationic dyes, while herringbone-stacking structure is formed by anionic-cationic dye, and a J-band spectrum is correspondingly detected. The photoelectron property of dye-sensitized samples was also investigated with microwave absorption and dielectric spectrum detection technology. After excited by a 355 nm fast-pulse laser, the photoelectron decay process of anionic-cationic dye sensitized sample is the fastest. This indicates that the affection of anionic-cationic dye aggregates to the photoelectron decay is the biggest, and the sensitization is more efficient.

Molybdenum carbide(MO_(2)C)materials are promising electrocatalysts with potential applications in hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)due to low cost and Pt-like electronic ***,their HER activity is usually hindered by the strong hydrogen binding ***,the lack of water-cleaving site's makes it difficult for the catalysts to work in alkaline ***,we designed and synthesized a B and N dual-doped carbon layer that encapsulated on MO_(2)C nanocrystals(MO_(2)C@BNC)for accelerating HER under alkaline *** electronic interactions between the MO_(2)C nanocrystals and the multiple-doped carbon layer endow a near-zero H adsorption Gibbs free energy on the defective C atoms over the carbon ***,the introduced B atoms afford optimal H_2O adsorption sites for the water-cleaving ***,the dual-doped MO_(2)C catalyst with synergistic effect of non-metal sites delivers superior HER performances of a low overpotential(99 mV@10 mA cm^(-2))and a small Tafel slope(58.1 mV dec^(-1))in 1 M KOH ***,it presents a remarkable activity that outperforming the commercial 10%Pt/C catalyst at large current density,demonstrating its applicability in industrial water *** study provides a reasonable design strategy towards noble-metal-free HER catalysts with high activity.

The photoelectron property is directly related to the light-energy conversion efficiency of solar cells. In this paper, the photoelectron dynamic of semiconductor was analyzed. The diffusion of electrons has influence on the dielectric function of the solar cell material. And the amplitude variance of the imaginary and real part of the dielectric function is in direct proportion to the dynamic process of free and shallow-trapped electrons. Based on the untouched detection technique, the method is present to detect the amplitude change of the microwave signal which is passing through the material whose dielectric function changes after exposure. A 35 GHz oscillator was used as a microwave source. The absorption and dispersion microwave signals, which contain the dynamic information of free and shallow-trapped electron signal, are split respectively with phase-sensitive instrument. The photoelectron character of n-type Si(100) thin film was investigated by the novel equipment, and the lifetime of different kinds of electrons with the resolution of 1 ns was obtained. The equipment can be directly used in the study of the optoelectronic conversion mechanism of solar cells.

Luku alkali syenite is distributed throughout the southern end of the Hongge basic-ultrabasic intrusion in Panzhihua,Sichuan,SW *** LA-ICP-MS,the alkali syenite intrusion yielded a zircon U-Pb age of_(2)64.5±1.6 Ma,concordant with the ages of the E’meishan large igneous province(260 Ma).The intrusion displayed silica-saturated,Al-adequate and alkali-rich signatures,with SiO_(2)62.07%-64.04%,Al_(2)O_(3)16.26%-16.79%and Na_(2)O+K_(2)O 9.17%-9.91%(averaging 9.31%).The rock falls into the alkaline zone on the SiO_(2)-***,as well as in the potassium zone on the K_(2)O-Na_(2)O diagram,indicating a potassium alkaline *** rock has a low total REE concentration and showed enrichment in LREE(LREE/HREE=7.06-7.95),typical negative Eu anomalies(δEu=0.73-0.80),trace element deficiencies in LILEs(Ba,K,Sr,Zr)and enrichment in HFSEs(Th,U,Nd,Sm,Ta and Nb),displaying crust and mantle element *** show a strong positive Ce anomaly and negative Eu anomaly,similar to the characteristics of crustal source magmatic zircon,however the(Lu/Gd)N ratio ranges from 1.48 to 3.17,and the(Yb/Sm)N ratio ranges from 38.49 to 77.15,which are similar to the characteristics of mantle-derived magmatic *** the La/Yb-δEu correlation diagram,the data plots near the boundary between crust type and crust-mantle *** the combined‘trinity’spatiotemporal relationship of Indosinian intermediate-acid alkali intrusive rocks in the Panxi area with E’meishan basalt and basic-ultrabasic intrusive rocks,the regional tectonic evolution and the partial melting model of the most intraplate magma sources,we believe that the Luku alkali syenite in Sichuan was formed from the partial melting of a crust-mantle source material,due to underplating of the mantle plume basic magma.
