In this paper,we present an algorithm for capacity optimization in intelligent reflecting surface(IRS)-based multiple-input multiple-output(MIMO)communication systems.To maximize the capacity of elements in IRS,we use augmented Lagrange method with the equivalent transformations on the covariance matrix and reflection matrix constraints.This results an adjustable phase shift on the incident signal.Furthermore,we reshape the complex-valued covariance matrix and reflection matrix to a vector for the ease of calculating partial derivatives to find the search direction.Then,the quasi-Newton updates and modified Broyden-Fletcher-Goldfarb-Shano(BFGS)method in the complex domain form are used to find the local minimum.Finally,numerical simulation results demonstrate that our proposed IRS-aided system using the algorithm performs better than the state-of-the-art and the conventional communication systems.

Dear editor,The recent outbreak of coronavirus disease(COVID-19)has become a major public health issue caused by 2019 novel coronavirus(2019-nCoV).[1]Severe COVID-19 patients may reveal a dysregulated immune response that allows the development of v iral hyperinfl ammation.[2]In the fight against COVID-19,inflammatory parameters towards illness severity should be identified to improve the prognosis of patients.In this study,we aimed to assess the discriminative ability of several infl ammation indicators in severe COVID-19 infection.

The rationale for the antibiotic treatment of viral community-acquired pneumonia(CAP)in adults was analyzed to develop a clinical reference standard for this condition.Clinical data from 166 patients diagnosed with viral pneumonia across 14 hospitals in Beijing from November 2010 to December 2017 were collected.The indications for medications were evaluated,and the rationale for the use of antibiotics was analyzed.A total of 163(98.3%)patients with viral pneumonia were treated with antibiotics.A combination of C-reactive protein(CRP)and procalcitonin(PCT)was used as markers to analyze the possible indications for antibiotic use.With threshold levels set at 0.25µg/L for PCT and 20 mg/L for CRP,the rate of unreasonable use of antibiotics was 55.2%.By contrast,at a CRP level threshold of 60 mg/L,the rate of antibiotic misuse was 77.3%.A total of 39 of the 163(23.9%)patients did not meet the guidelines for drug selection for viral CAP in adults.The unreasonable use of antibacterial drugs for the treatment of viral CAP in adults is a serious concern.Clinicians must reduce the unnecessary use of antibiotics.

The run-time security guarantee is a hotspot in current cyberspace security research, especially on embedded terminals, such as smart hardware as well as wearable and mobile devices. Typically, these devices use universal hardware and software to connect with public networks via the Internet, and are probably open to security threats from Trojan viruses and other malware. As a result, the security of sensitive personal data is threatened and economic interests in the industry are compromised. To address the run-time security problems efficiently, first, a TrustEnclave-based secure architecture is proposed, and the trusted execution environment is constructed by hardware isolation technology. Then the prototype system is implemented on real TrustZone-enabled hardware devices. Finally, both analytical and experimental evaluations are provided. The experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed security scheme.

依托国内统一大市场重塑制造业转型升级新路径是我国构建国内大循环的内在要求和重要支撑。长三角地区是我国制造业发展高地,有条件引领推动国内产业链循环的重塑和升级。基于2006—2020年期间长三角制造业转型升级影响因素的实证研究,发现国际大循环对长三角制造业转型升级推动效应不断减弱,国内市场分割对长三角制造业的影响呈现减弱趋势。研究表示长三角制造业应更加依托国内大市场构建转型升级新路径,在推动国内大循环中,寻求产业链向上突破,发挥自身技术和集群优势,引领建立更加强大的国内产业链,深化跨区域垂直专业化分工关系,提高对国内需求的适配性,提升与国内外创新体系的关联性。

OBJECTIVE:To further clarify the anticancer mechanisms of Liujunzi decoction(六君子汤)and provide possible targets for the treatment of advanced-stage nonsmall cell lung cancer(NSCLC)by re-analyzing differential gene expression profile of peripheral blood mononuclear cells(PBMCs)from Liujunzi decoctiontreated NSCLC patients receiving first-line chemotherapy.METHODS:The PBMC gene expression microarray data set GSE61926 was retrieved from a high throughput gene expression database.Differentially expressed genes(DEGs)were screened by paired sample t-test and the multiple ratio method.Gene ontology and Kyoto encyclopedia of genes and genomes(KEGG)pathway analyses were performed using the DAVID database.The protein–protein interaction(PPI)network was constructed using interaction gene library retrieval tools and Cytoscape software.RESULTS:A total of 162 DEGs were identified,with 67 upregulated genes and 95 downregulated genes.The functional distribution of Gene Oncology(GO)genes showed that DEGs were mostly concentrated in extracellular regions,calcium ion binding,and transcriptase activity.KEGG pathway analysis showed that cytokine–cytokine receptor interactions were significantly enriched.PPI network analysis screened out the top 10 central protein-coding genes with the highest nodal degree:IL2,PIWIL4,DICER1,PIWIL2,SAA1,XCL1,IL22RA1,ARHGAP11A,DCP1A,and GDNF.Among them,the central protein-coding gene with the highest node degree was IL2.In addition,the central protein-coding genes with high node degrees and high molecular complex detection(MCODE)scores were PIWIL4,DICER1,PIWIL2,and DCP1A,all of which are related to tumor development.CONCLUSIONS:One signaling pathway and 10 central protein-coding genes related to anticancer mechanisms were screened by re-analysis of GSE61926 data.IL2,PIWIL4,DICER1,PIWIL2,and DCP1 A may have important roles in the mechanism of Liujunzi decoction treatment against NSCLC.Our results suggest that the anticancer mechanism of Liujunzi decoction may be related to gene silencing by RNA and the bi

Translation software has become an important tool for communication between different languages.People’s requirements for translation are higher and higher,mainly reflected in people’s desire for barrier free cultural exchange.With a large corpus,the performance of statistical machine translation based on words and phrases is limited due to the small size of modeling units.Previous statistical methods rely primarily on the size of corpus and number of its statistical results to avoid ambiguity in translation,ignoring context.To support the ongoing improvement of translation methods built upon deep learning,we propose a translation algorithm based on the Hidden Markov Model to improve the use of context in the process of translation.During translation,our Hidden Markov Model prediction chain selects a number of phrases with the highest result probability to form a sentence.The collection of all of the generated sentences forms a topic sequence.Using probabilities and article sequences determined from the training set,our method again applies the Hidden Markov Model to form the final translation to improve the context relevance in the process of translation.This algorithm improves the accuracy of translation,avoids the combination of invalid words,and enhances the readability and meaning of the resulting translation.
