Early predic.ion of severe ac.te panc.eatitis by urinary trypsinogen ac.ivation peptide

Objec.ive: To investigate the value of urinary trypsi-nogen ac.ivation peptide (TAP) in the early predic.tion of severe ac.te panc.eatitis and to c.mpare itwith ac.te physiology and c.ronic.health evaluationⅡ (APAc.E Ⅱ).Methods: We assessed the predic.ive value of urinaryTAP c.nc.ntrations measured by a c.mpetitive en-zyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Urine sampleswere c.llec.ed for detec.ing TAP c.nc.ntrations atadmission, and 24, 48, and 72 h from 41 patientswith ac.te panc.eatitis (12 with severe disease, 29with mild disease) who presented within 48 h the on-set of symptoms and from 11 c.ntrol patients, whileAPAc.E Ⅱ sc.res were rec.rded at 48 h after ***: The peak median urinary TAP c.nc.ntrationwas seen at admission. The median urinary TAPc.nc.ntration at admission for severe panc.eatitis (95nmol/L) was signific.ntly higher than the medianfor patients with mild panc.eatitis (20 nmol/L, Pc.ntrols (15 nmol/L, Pc.nc.ntrations were signific.ntly higher in patientswith severe ac.te panc.eatitis than the median in pa-tients with mild panc.eatitis (Pc.ntrols(Pc.E Ⅱsc.res of severe patients were signific.ntly differentfrom those of mild patients (10.5 vs 6.0, Pc.fic.ty, positive predic.ive, andnegative predic.ive values of an admission urinaryTAP≥35 nmol/L for severe panc.eatitis were91.7%, 89.7%, 78.6% and 96.3%, whereas 48 hafter admission the values for APAc.E Ⅱ sc.res(≥9) were 75.0%, 72.7%, 52.9% and 87.5%. Inpredic.ion of disease severity, the urine TAP c.nc.n-tration was muc. better than APAc.E Ⅱ at 48 ***: Urinary TAP obtained at the first 48 hof the onset of symptoms c.n predic. severe ac.tepanc.eatitis. In predic.ion of disease severity, theurinary TAP is muc. better than APAc.E Ⅱ sc.re.

IMTNet: Improved Multi-Task c.py-Move Forgery Detec.ion Network with Feature Dec.upling and Multi-Feature Pyramid

c.py-Move Forgery Detec.ion (c.FD) is a tec.niq.e that is designed to identify image tampering and loc.te suspic.ous areas. However, the prac.ic.lity of the c.FD is impeded by the sc.rc.ty of datasets, inadeq.ate q.ality and q.antity, and a narrow range of applic.ble tasks. These limitations signific.ntly restric. the c.pac.ty and applic.bility of c.FD. To overc.me the limitations of existing methods, a novel solution c.lled IMTNet is proposed for c.FD by employing a feature dec.upling approac.. Firstly, this study formulates the objec.ive task and network relationship as an optimization problem using transfer learning. Furthermore, it thoroughly disc.sses and analyzes the relationship between c.FD and deep network arc.itec.ure by employing ResNet-50 during the optimization solving phase. Sec.ndly, a q.antitative c.mparison between fine-tuning and feature dec.upling is c.nduc.ed to evaluate the degree of similarity between the image c.assific.tion and c.FD domains by the enhanc.d ResNet-50. Finally, suspic.ous regions are loc.lized using a feature pyramid network with bottom-up path augmentation. Experimental results demonstrate that IMTNet ac.ieves faster c.nvergenc., shorter training times, and favorable generalization performanc. c.mpared to existing methods. Higher-order mode analysis for SOLEIL-type superc.nduc.ing c.vity

A 499.8 MHz SOLEIL-type superc.nduc.ing c.vity was simulated and designed for the first time in this paper. The higher-order mode (HOM) properties of the c.vity were investigated. Two kinds of c.axial HOM c.uplers were designed. Using 4 L-type and 4 T-type HOM c.uplers, the longitudinal impedanc. was suppressed to 3 kΩ, and the transverse impedanc. below 30 kΩ/m. The HOM damping req.irements of Hefei Advanc.d Light Fac.lity (HALF) were satisfied. This paper c.nduc.s an in-depth study on the radio freq.enc. (RF) design, multipac.ing optimization, and thermal analysis of these c.axial c.uplers. Simulation results indic.ted that under operating ac.eleration voltage, the optimized c.uplers does not exhibit multiplic.ting or thermal breakdown phenomena. The c.vity has the potential to reac. a higher ac.eleration gradient.

Is Peer Vic.imization Assoc.ated with Higher Online Trolling among Adolesc.nts? The Mediation of Hostile Attribution Bias and the Moderation of Trait Mindfulness

Bac.ground: In rec.nt years, online trolling has garnered signific.nt attention due to its detrimental effec.s on mental health and soc.al well-being. The c.rrent study examined the influenc. of peer vic.imization on adolesc.nt online trolling behavior, proposing that hostile attribution bias mediated this relationship and that trait mindfulness moderated both the direc. and indirec. effec.s. Methods: A total of 833 c.inese adolesc.nts c.mpleted the measurements of peer vic.imization, hostile attribution bias, trait mindfulness, and online trolling. Moderated mediation analysis was performed to examine the relationships between these variables. Results: After c.ntrolling for gender and residential address, the study found a signific.nt positive c.rrelation between peer vic.imization and online trolling, with hostile attribution bias serving as a mediator. In addition, trait mindfulness moderated the direc. relationship between peer vic.imization and online trolling. Spec.fic.lly, the effec. of peer vic.imization on online trolling was attenuated when adolesc.nts had high levels of trait mindfulness. The results of the study emphasized the joint role of peer and personal fac.ors in adolesc.nts’ online trolling behavior and provide c.rtain strategies for intervening in adolesc.nts’ online trolling behavior. c.nc.usion: The results of the study suggest that strategies foc.sing on peer support and mindfulness training c.n have a positive impac. on reduc.ng online trolling behavior, promoting adolesc.nts’ mental health, and their long-term development. © 2024 The Authors.

Sc.isanhenol ameliorates non-alc.holic.fatty liver disease via inhibiting miR-802 ac.ivation of AMPK-mediated modulation of hepatic.lipid metabolism

Non-alc.holic.fatty liver disease (NAFLD), c.arac.erized by hepatic.steatosis, is a c.mmon metabolic.liver disease worldwide. c.rrently, satisfac.ory drugs for NAFLD treatment remain lac.ing. Obesity and diabetes are the leading c.uses of NAFLD, and c.mpounds with anti-obesity and anti-diabetic.ac.ivities are c.nsidered suitable c.ndidates for treating NAFLD. In this study, bioc.emic.l and histologic.l assays revealed that a natural lignan sc.isanhenol (SAL) effec.ively dec.eased lipid ac.umulation and improved hepatic.steatosis in free fatty ac.d (FFA)-treated HepG2 c.lls and high-fat diet (HFD)-induc.d NAFLD mic.. Further, molec.lar analyses, mic.oRNA (miRNA)-seq. and bioinformatic. analyses revealed that SAL may improve NAFLD by targeting the miR-802/adenosine monophosphate-ac.ivated protein kinase (AMPK) pathway. Liver-spec.fic.overexpression of miR-802 in NAFLD mic. signific.ntly impaired SAL-mediated liver protec.ion and dec.eased the protein levels of phosphorylated (p)-AMPK and PRKAB1. Dual-luc.ferase assay analysis further c.nfirmed that miR-802 inhibits hepatic.AMPK expression by binding to the 3' untranslated region of mouse Prkab1 or human PRKAA1. Additionally, genetic.silenc.ng of PRKAA1 bloc.ed SAL-induc.d AMPK pathway ac.ivation in FFA-treated HepG2 c.lls. The results demonstrate that SAL is an effec.ive drug c.ndidate for treating NAFLD through regulating miR-802/AMPK-mediated lipid metabolism. © 2024 The Authors
