The production ofγ-valerolactone(GVL)from biomass derivatives levulinic acid(LA)based on acidbase metallic catalysts offers a sustainable pathway to the synthesis of valuable chemicals and biofuels.However,the development of efficient metallic catalysts with tunable Lewis acid–base and Brønsted acid sites remains a challenge.Herein,for the first time,we integrated zeolite and layered double hydroxide(LDH),in a core–shell structure,wherein zeolite and CoFe-LDH provided the Brønsted acidic sites and Lewis acid sites,respectively.Meanwhile,oxygen vacancies(OV_(x))acting as Lewis bases were generated on the surface of LDH via Ga doping.An efficient cascade catalytic reaction from LA to GVL was successfully achieved over the designed Beta@LDH-OVx catalyst,affording a superior conversion of LA(>99.9%)and an impressive selectivity to GVL(89.18%).Importantly,the“memory effect”of LDH endowed the catalyst with excellent regeneration of metal active sites.Density functional theory calculations revealed that the introduced OVx facilitated the adsorption of carbonyl oxygen in LA and boosted the production of GVL through the synergistic effect of acid/base sites in the composite catalyst.This work presents a rational design route for the construction of multifunctional catalysts by coupling zeolites and LDHs for highly selective catalytic conversion of biomass.

BACKGROUND Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)is the most common malignant liver disease in the world.Platelets(PLTs)are known to play a key role in the maintenance of liver homeostasis and the pathophysiological processes of a variety of liver diseases.Aspirin is the most classic antiplatelet agent.However,the molecular mechanism of platelet action and whether aspirin can affect HCC progression by inhibiting platelet activity need further study.AIM To explore the impact of the antiplatelet effect of aspirin on the development of HCC.METHODS Platelet-rich plasma,platelet plasma,pure platelet,and platelet lysate were prepared,and a coculture model of PLTs and HCC cells was established.CCK-8 analysis,apoptosis analysis,Transwell analysis,and real-time polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR)were used to analyze the effects of PLTs on the growth,metastasis,and inflammatory microenvironment of HCC.RT-PCR and Western blot were used to detect the effects of platelet activation on tumor-related signaling pathways.Aspirin was used to block the activation and aggregation of PLTs both in vitro and in vivo,and the effect of PLTs on the progression of HCC RESULTS PLTs significantly promoted the growth,invasion,epithelial-mesenchymal transition,and formation of an inflammatory microenvironment in HCC cells.Activated PLTs promoted HCC progression by activating the mitogenactivated protein kinase/protein kinase B/signal transducer and activator of transcription three(MAPK/AKT/STAT3)signaling axis.Additionally,aspirin inhibited HCC progression in vitro and in vivo by inhibiting platelet activation.CONCLUSION PLTs play an important role in the pathogenesis of HCC,and aspirin can affect HCC progression by inhibiting platelet activity.These results suggest that antiplatelet therapy has promising application prospects in the treatment and combined treatment of HCC.

Background The aim of this study was to review current delivery room(DR)resuscitation intensity in Chinese tertiary neonatal intensive care units and to investigate the association between DR resuscitation intensity and short-term outcomes in preterm infants born at 24+0_31+6 weeks gestation age(GA).Methods This was a retrospective cross-sectional study.The source population was infants born at 24+0_31+6 weeks'GA who were enrolled in the Chinese Neonatal Network 2019 cohort.Eligible infants were categorized into five groups:(1)regular care;(2)oxygen supplementation and/or continuous positive airway pressure(O2/CPAP);(3)mask ventilation;(4)endotracheal intubation;and(5)cardiopulmonary resuscitation(CPR).The association between DR resuscitation and shortterm outcomes was evaluated by inverse propensity score-weighted logistic regression.Results Of 7939 infants included in this cohort,2419(30.5%)received regular care,1994(25.1%)received O,/CPAP,1436(18.1%)received mask ventilation,1769(22.3%)received endotracheal intubation,and 321(4.0%)received CPR in the DR.Advanced maternal age and maternal hypertension correlated with a higher need for resuscitation,and antenatal steroid use tended to be associated with a lower need for resuscitation(P<0.001).Severe brain impairment increased significantly with increasing amounts of resuscitation in DR after adjusting for perinatal factors.Resuscitation strategies vary widely between centers,with over 50%of preterm infants in eight centers requiring higher intensity resuscitation.Conclusions Increased intensity of DR interventions was associated with increased mortality and morbidities in very preterm infants in China.There is wide variation in resuscitative approaches across delivery centers,and ongoing quality improvement to standardize resuscitation practices is needed.

Construction and validation of a risk-prediction model for anastomotic leakage after radical gastrectomy: A cohort study in China

Objectives:Anastomotic leakage(AL)stands out as a prevalent and severe complication following gastric cancer surgery.It frequently precipitates additional serious complications,significantly influencing the overall survival time of patients.This study aims to enhance the risk-assessment strategy for AL following gastrectomy for gastric cancer.Methods:This study included a derivation cohort and validation cohort.The derivation cohort included patients who underwent radical gastrectomy at Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital,Zhejiang University School of Medicine,from January 1,2015 to December 31,2020.An evidence-based predictor questionnaire was crafted through extensive literature review and panel discussions.Based on the questionnaire,inpatient data were collected to form a model-derivation cohort.This cohort underwent both univariate and multivariate analyses to identify factors associated with AL events,and a logistic regression model with stepwise regression was developed.A 5-fold cross-validation ensured model reliability.The validation cohort included patients from August 1,2021 to December 31,2021 at the same hospital.Using the same imputation method,we organized the validation-queue data.We then employed the risk-prediction model constructed in the earlier phase of the study to predict the risk of AL in the subjects included in the validation queue.We compared the predictions with the actual occurrence,and evaluated the external validation performance of the model using model-evaluation indicators such as the area under the receiver operating characteristic curve(AUROC),Brier score,and calibration curve.Results:The derivation cohort included 1377 patients,and the validation cohort included 131 patients.The independent predictors of AL after radical gastrectomy included age65 y,preoperative albumin<35 g/L,resection extent,operative time240 min,and intraoperative blood loss90 mL.The predictive model exhibited a solid AUROC of 0.750(95%CI:0.694e0.806;p<0.001)with a Brier score of 0.049.The 5-fold cross-validation c

Human adenoviruses(HAdvs)are major respiratory pathogens.Specifically,human adenovirus type 4(HAdV4)and human adenovirus type 7(HAdV7)are known for causing fever and pneumonia,with docu-mented cases of fatalities among the population.In recent years,HAdV4/HAdv7 has been implicated in caus-ing substantial outbreaks,leading to increased morbidity in multiple countries.Most HAdV4 and HAdV7 infections have been reported in North America,Asia,Europe,Africa,South America,Oceania,and the Middle East.Most fatalities occurred in North America(the United States)and Asia(China and Singapore).Engineered recombinant adenoviruses have played a crucial role as vaccine vectors.In this study,we con-structed a recombinant adenovirus,Ad4ITRmut-Ad7E3,and evaluated it in vitro and in vivo.We observed that the replication rate of Ad4ITRmut-Ad7E3 was lower than that of the RI-67 strain,indicating that the mutation of inverted terminal repeats(ITRs)weakened the replication ability of HAdV4.Immunization of BALB/c mice with the bivalent Ad4ITRmut-Ad7E3 vaccine strain,administered by intraperitoneal injection and oral gavage,resulted in the elicitation of neutralizing antibodies targeting HAdV4 and HAdv7.This finding not only pro-vides a novel method and technique for the efficient construction of a polyvalent recombinant adenovirus vac-cine candidate against HAdV4 and HAdv7 but also against other prevalent adenovirus serotypes such as HAdV3,HAdV11,HAdV14,and HAdv55,from various regions.

土壤盐渍化严重制约农田土壤环境的循环发展,高效准确地监测土壤盐分动态变化对盐碱地改良利用具有重要意义。为及时、有效地监测盐渍化土壤含盐量,以内蒙古黄河南岸灌区的4个典型盐碱化耕地改良示范区为例,利用Sentinel-2多光谱遥感影像,同步采集示范区内表层土壤的含盐量数据,通过相关性分析筛选敏感光谱指标,基于偏最小二乘回归(PLSR)、逐步回归(SR)、岭回归(RR)3种简单机器学习模型和深度学习Transformer模型建模,最后进行精度评价并优选出最佳含盐量反演模型。结果表明:示范区土壤反射率的可见光、红边、近红外波段反射率均与土壤含盐量呈正相关,短波红外波段反射率与土壤含盐量呈负相关,引入光谱指数能够有效提升Sentinel-2遥感影像与示范区表层土壤含盐量的相关性(相关系数绝对值不小于0.32);对比不同模型发现深度学习Transformer模型优于简单机器学习模型,验证集决定系数R~2和均方根误差(RMSE)分别为0.546和2.687 g/kg;含盐量反演结果与实地结果相吻合,为更精准反演内蒙古黄河南岸灌区盐渍化程度提供了参考。

Although pseudocapacitive manganese dioxide（MnO2） integrates the high-power merit of carbonaceous materials with the high-energy merit of battery-type materials,it still has a long way to go in achieving a more satisfactory balance of higher energy and power density,and in decoupling the relationship of structural characteristics with energy storage performance.To realize such goals,a bottom-up [WO6]-perturbed [MnO6] assembly strategy has been developed here due to their similar structure,yet mismatched lattice parameters.This facile protocol is capable of finely controlling the morphology and crystal structure of MnO2by adjusting its internal[WO6] concentration.Therefore,the as-prepared WxMnO2is treated as an ideal platform to scrutinize the correlations of the structure with the energy storage performance.The operando Raman spectra and finite element analysis have fully demonstrated the superiority of the locally ordered defects-enriched structure of W0.02-MnO2,which could reach a favorable balance between the ion diffusion equilibrium time and the number of active sites.As a result,the W0.02-MnO2is able to deliver a high capacitance of 292 F·g-1at a current density of 1 A·g-1and a remarkable rate performance with a 60% capacity retention at a current density of 50 A·g-1.The further unveiled structure-performance relationship provides a guideline for the design of better pseudocapacitive energy storage devices.

Background Atrial septal defect(ASD)is one of the most common congenital heart diseases.The diagnosis of ASD via transthoracic echocardiography is subjective and time-consuming.Methods The objective of this study was to evaluate the feasibility and accuracy of automatic detection of ASD in children based on color Doppler echocardiographic static images using end-to-end convolutional neural networks.The proposed depthwise separable convolution model identifies ASDs with static color Doppler images in a standard view.Among the standard views,we selected two echocardiographic views,i.e.,the subcostal sagittal view of the atrium septum and the low parasternal four-chamber view.The developed ASD detection system was validated using a training set consisting of 396 echocardiographic images corresponding to 198 cases.Additionally,an independent test dataset of 112 images corresponding to 56 cases was used,including 101 cases with ASDs and 153 cases with normal hearts.Results The average area under the receiver operating characteristic curve,recall,precision,specificity,F1-score,and accuracy of the proposed ASD detection model were 91.99,80.00,82.22,87.50,79.57,and 83.04,respectively.Conclusions The proposed model can accurately and automatically identify ASD,providing a strong foundation for the intelligent diagnosis of congenital heart diseases.

历史土地利用及其覆被的变化对于理解不同时期的人地关系具有重要指导意义。传统的耕地开垦优先度模型未考虑土地利用转换规则及邻域效应,重建精度不高。基于多源史料提取越南1885—2000年5个关键年份耕地总量及其9个驱动因素,并应用有大数据处理和土地转换规律挖掘优势的ANN-FLUS模型探讨耕地分布变化。结果表明:(1)耕地总量由1532千hm^(2)增至6200千hm^(2),其变化以1940年代为转折阶段而表现出前快、后慢的差异;(2)耕地历来集中在红河、湄公河三角洲以及中部沿海平原,其在全国尺度上开发模式由“聚点式”缓慢延伸逐渐转变为“散点”式迅速扩张;(3)ANN-FLUS模型在越南1950年耕地分布格局上的重建精度为Kappa系数0.65,显著优于开垦优先度模型(0.54)及HYDE 3.2数据集模型(0.50)。
