The changes in soil organic carbon stock and quality across a subalpine forest successional series

Soil organic carbon(SOC)affects the function of terrestrial ecosystem and plays a vital role in global carbon ***,large uncertainty still existed regarding the changes in SOC stock and quality with forest ***,the stock and quality of SOC at 1-m soil profile were investigated across a subalpine forest series,including shrub,deciduous broad-leaved forest,broadleaf-conifer mixed forest,middle-age coniferous forest and mature coniferous forest,which located at southeast of Tibetan *** results showed that SOC stock ranged from 9.8 to29.9 kg·m^(-2),and exhibited a hump-shaped response pattern across the forest successional *** highest and lowest SOC stock was observed in the mixed forest and shrub forest,*** SOC stock had no significant relationships with soil temperature and litter stock,but was positively correlated with wood debris ***,the average percentages of polysaccharides,lignins,aromatics and aliphatics based on FTIR spectroscopy were 79.89%,0.94%,18.87%and 0.29%,***,the percentage of polysaccharides exhibited an increasing pattern across the forest successional series except for the sudden decreasing in the mixed forest,while the proportions of lignins,aromatics and aliphatics exhibited a decreasing pattern across the forest successional series except for the sudden increasing in the mixed ***,the humification indices(HIs)were highest in the mixed forest compared to the other four successional stages,which means that the SOC quality in mixed forest was worse than other successional *** addition,the SOC stock,recalcitrant fractions and HIs decreased with increasing soil depth,while the polysaccharides exhibited an increasing *** findings demonstrate that the mixed forest had higher SOC stock and worse SOC quality than other successional *** high proportion of SOC stock(66%at depth of 20-100 cm)and better SOC quality(lower HIs)indicate that deep s

Generating non-jumps from a known one

Let r≥2 be an integer. The real number α∈[0, 1) is a jump for r if there exists a constant c> 0 such that for any ε> 0 and any integer m≥r, there exists an integer n0（ε, m） satisfying any r-uniform graph with n≥n0（ε, m） vertices and density at least α+εcontains a subgraph with m vertices and density at least α+c. A result of Erd?s and Simonovits （1966） and Erd?s and Stone （1946） implies that every α∈[0, 1) is a jump for r=2. Erd?s （1964） asked whether the same is true for r≥3. Frankl and R?dl （1984） gave a negative answer by showing that 1-1/（lr-1） is not a jump for r if r≥3 and l> 2r. After that, more non-jumps are foundlr-1is not a juby using a method of Frankl and R?dl （1984）. Motivated by an idea of Liu and Pikhurko （2023）, in this paper,we show a method to construct maps f:[0, 1)→[0, 1) that preserve non-jumps, i.e., if α is a non-jump for r given by the method of Frankl and R?dl （1984）, then f （α） is also a non-jump for r. We use these maps to study hypergraph Tura′n densities and answer a question posed by Grosu （2016）.

心力衰竭(心衰)是目前我国面临的重要公共健康问题,左心室辅助装置技术的发展成为终末期心衰患者的希望,第三代国产左心室辅助装置在原理、结构、尺寸、机械稳定性、生物相容性等诸多方面出现了较大改善。近年来已有多种产品投入临床应用,更好地造福有植入需求的心衰患者。本文主要对第三代国产左心室辅助装置的技术发展、临床应用、国内外现有产品及未来展望等方面进行综述。

Graph coloring has interesting real life applications in optimization and network design. In this paper some new results on the acyclic-edge coloring, f-edge coloring, g-edge cover coloring, （g, f）-coloring and equitable edge-coloring of graphs are introduced. In particular, some new results related to the above colorings obtained by the authors are given. Some new problems and conjectures are presented.

Acyclic coloring of graphs without bichromatic long path

Let G be a graph of maximum degree A. A proper vertex coloring of G is acyclic if there is no bichromatic cycle. It was proved by Alon et al. [Acyclic coloring of graphs. Random Structures Algorithms, 1991, 2（3）： 277-288] that G admits an acyclic coloring with O（△4/3） colors and a proper coloring with O（△（k-1）/（k-2）） colors such that no path with k vertices is bichromatic for a fixed integer k ≥5. In this paper, we combine above two colorings and show that if k ≥ 5 and G does not contain cycles of length 4, then G admits an acyclic coloring with O（△（k-1）/（k-2）） colors such that no path with k vertices is bichromatic.

目的:基于多种机器学习算法建立老年(≥65岁)瓣膜性心脏病患者术后院内全因死亡风险的预测模型,为心脏瓣膜术后患者死亡风险评估提供新的思路。方法:回顾性连续纳入2016年1月至2018年12月中国心血管外科注册登记研究数据库(CCSR)中接受心脏瓣膜手术,年龄≥65岁的患者7163例。2016年1月到2018年6月的患者为训练队列(n=5774),2018年7月到12月患者为测试队列(n=1389)。研究终点为患者术后院内死亡。分析其临床资料,包括基本特征、围术期危险因素以及术后主要结局指标等。采用多种机器学习算法构建老年瓣膜性心脏病患者术后死亡风险预测模型。结果:290例(4.1%)患者术后院内死亡。与未死亡患者比,死亡患者年龄较大,既往脑卒中史、慢性心力衰竭史患者占比较大,吸烟史、高脂血症患者占比较少(P均<0.05)。训练队列中线形判别分析(LDA)、支持向量机分类器(SVC)及逻辑回归(LR)预测模型ROC曲线的AUC均较高,Brier分数均较低,具有较好的区分度及校准度。在测试队列中,LDA、SVC及LR预测模型ROC曲线的AUC分别为0.744、0.744及0.746,均优于新版欧洲心脏手术风险评分系统(EuroSCOREⅡ)模型的0.642(P均<0.05)。结论:老年患者心脏瓣膜术后死亡率较高,LDA、SVC、LR预测模型可以较好地预测老年患者心脏瓣膜术后死亡的发生率。

Judicious partitioning problems on graphs ask for partitions that bound several quantities simultaneously,which have received much attention ***(2005)asked the following natural question:What is the maximum constant cdsuch that every directed graph D with m arcs and minimum outdegree d admits a bipartition V(D)=V_1∪V_2 satisfying min{e(V_1,V_2),e(V_2,V_1)}cdm?Here,for i=1,2,e(V_i,V_(3-i))denotes the number of arcs in D from V_i to V_(3-i).Lee et al.(2016)conjectured that every directed graph D with m arcs and minimum outdegree at least d 2 admits a bipartition V(D)=V_1∪V_2 such that min{e(V_1,V_2),e(V_2,V_1)}≥((d-1)/(2(2 d-1))+o(1))*** this paper,we show that this conjecture holds under the additional natural condition that the minimum indegree is also at least d.

Acyclic edge coloring of graphs with large girths

A proper edge coloring of a graph G is called acyclic if there is no 2-colored cycle in G. The acyclic chromatic index of G, denoted by χ'a(G), is the least number of colors such that G has an acyclic edge k-coloring. Let G be a graph with maximum degree Δ and girth g(G), and let 1≤r≤2Δ be an integer. In this paper, it is shown that there exists a constant c > 0 such that if g(G)≥cΔ r log(Δ2/r) then χa(G)≤Δ + r + 1, which generalizes the result of Alon et al. in 2001. When G is restricted to series-parallel graphs, it is proved that χ'a(G) = Δ if Δ≥4 and g(G)≥4; or Δ≥3 and g(G)≥5.

目的探索影响心脏瓣膜术后院内死亡的危险因素,建立老年心脏瓣膜术后院内全因死亡的风险预测模型,为心脏瓣膜术后患者死亡风险评估提供新思路。方法连续纳入2016—2018年中国心血管外科注册登记研究数据库中接受心脏瓣膜手术的≥65岁患者,其中2016年1月—2018年6月患者纳入训练队列,2018年7—12月患者纳入测试队列,分析老年患者心脏瓣膜术后死亡的风险因素,采用LASSO-logistic回归构建预测模型,并与传统的EuroSCOREⅡ评分进行对比。结果共纳入7163例患者,其中男3939例、女3224例,平均年龄(69.8±4.5)岁。训练队列5774例,测试队列1389例。290例(4.0%)患者术后死亡。通过LASSO回归变量筛选及logistic回归分析,最终纳入预测模型的危险因素包括年龄、术前左室射血分数、合并冠状动脉旁路移植手术、肌酐清除率、既往心脏手术史、体外循环时间、纽约心脏协会分级。LASSO-logistic回归模型在训练队列[受试者工作特征曲线下面积(area under the curve,AUC)=0.785,0.627]及测试队列(AUC=0.739,0.642)中均具有较好的区分度及校准度,优于传统的EuroSCOREⅡ评分。结论老年患者心脏瓣膜术后死亡率较高,LASSOlogistic回归预测模型可以较好地预测老年患者瓣膜术后死亡的发生率。

Acyclic edge colorings of planar graphs and series-parallel graphs

A proper edge coloring of a graph G is called acyclic if there is no 2-colored cycle in G. The acyclic edge chromatic number of G, denoted by a (G), is the least number of colors in an acyclic edge coloring of G. Alon et al. conjectured that a (G) Δ(G) + 2 for any graphs. For planar graphs G with girth g(G), we prove that a (G) max{2Δ(G) + 2, Δ(G) + 22} if g(G) 3, a (G) Δ(G) + 2 if g(G) 5, a (G) Δ(G) + 1 if g(G) 7, and a (G) = Δ(G) if g(G) 16 and Δ(G) 3. For series-parallel graphs G, we have a (G) Δ(G) + 1.
