Nanopore design of sulfur doped hollow carbon nanospheres for superior potassium-ion battery anodes

Sulfur doped carbonaceous materials are promising anodes for potassium-ion batteries because of their ability to bridge active sites and induce C/S electron coupling,resulting in increased ion storage capacitance However,the large potassium ions could cause significant volume expansion and structure collapse during operation in sulfur doped carbonaceous anodes,which lead to rapidly capacity sacrifice during long-term *** design for anchoring sulfur atom in carbon skeleton is a novel way to alleviate the structure collapse and maintain the cycling ***,this study developed a controlled nanopore and sulfur doped carbon sphere structure(S-NPHCSs).In potassium-ion batteries S-NPHCSs anode demonstrated exceptional performance with a high reversible capacity of 247 mAh·g^(–1)after 50 cycles at 0.2 A·g^(–1)and delivered a long cycle stability of 600 cycles at a high current density of 1.0 A·g^(–1).Interconnected nanopores and doped sulfur structure not only expand the accumulation space and offer ample active sites for diffusion and adsorption of potassium ions,but also build stable channels through nanopore structure to ensure the cyclic *** finding provides a fundamental theory for designing nanopore structures and introducing sulfur doped carbonaceous materials to enhance capacitive potassium storage and long cycle stability.

Non-linear relationship between combustion kinetic parameters and coal quality

Combustion kinetic parameters(i.e.,activation energy and frequency factor) of coal have been proven to relate closely to coal properties;however,the quantitative relationship between them still requires further *** paper adopts a support vector regression machine(SVR) to generate the models of the non-linear relationship between combustion kinetic parameters and coal *** analyses on the thermo-gravimetry(TG) data of 80 coal samples were performed to prepare training data and testing data for the *** models developed were used in the estimation of the combustion kinetic parameters of ten testing *** predicted results showed that the root mean square errors(RMSEs) were 2.571 for the activation energy and 0.565 for the frequency factor in logarithmic form,*** curves defined by predicted kinetic parameters were fitted to the experimental data with a high degree of precision.

Varicocelectomy is very common in treating male infertility due to palpable varicocele and decreased semen quality, as well as reduzing testicular pain？ Therefore the question remains is whether simultaneous/asynchronous microsurgery of vasoepididymostomy and vai icocele ligation safe？

The Existence of (v,4,1) Disjoint Difference Families with a Prime Power

A （v, k, λ） difference family （（v, k, λ）-DF in short） over an abelian group G of order v, is a collection F=（Bi｜i ∈ I} of k-subsets of G, called base blocks, such that any nonzero element of G can be represented in precisely A ways as a difference of two elements lying in some base blocks in F. A （v, k, λ）-DDF is a difference family with disjoint blocks. In this paper, by using Weil＇s theorem on character sum estimates, it is proved that there exists a （p^n, 4, 1）-DDF, where p = 1 （rood 12） is a prime number and n ≥1.

Background：Pneumomediastinum （PM） secondary to foreign body aspiration （FBA） is rare in *** it is mainly benign,some cases may be *** to the rare nature of this clinical entity,proper assessment and management have been poorly studied so ***,we characterized the presentation and management of this clinical entity and provided an evaluation system for the ***：We retrospectively reviewed children with PM secondary to FBA,who were treated in Beijing Children＇s Hospital from January 2010 to December *** patients were stratified according to the degree of dyspnea on admission,and interventions were given *** removals of airway foreign bodies （FBs） were performed on all *** patients in acute respiratory distress,emergent air evacuation and/or resuscitations were performed *** data,interventions,and clinical outcomes were ***：A total of 39 patients were included in this *** clinical severity was divided into three grades （Grades Ⅰ,Ⅱ,and Ⅲ） according to the degree of ***-one patients were in Grade Ⅰ dyspnea,and they simply underwent bronchoscopic FBs *** resolved spontaneously and all patients recovered *** patients were in Grade Ⅱ dyspnea,and emergent drainage preceded rigid *** all recovered uneventfully under close *** exhausted patients were in Grade Ⅲ *** died from large PM and bilateral pneumothorax,respectively,despite of aggressive interventions in our ***：PM secondary to FBA could be life-threatening in some *** degree of dyspnea should be evaluated immediately,and patients in different dyspnea should be treated *** patients in Grade Ⅰ dyspnea,simple bronchoscopic FBs removals could promise a good *** patients in Grade Ⅱ dyspnea,emergent air evacuation and/or resuscitation should precede a bronchoscopy before the children become exhausted.

Lanthanide complex-based materials with magnetic and luminescent properties have received a great deal of attention,owing to their importantly potential applications in diverse *** this work,the 9-anthracenecarboxylic acid(9-Haca)as bridging ligand was applied in combination with optically activeπ-conjugated 2,4,6-tri(2-pyridyl)-1,3,5-triazine(tptz)to construct a series of new di-nuclear and tetranuclear lanthanide 9-anthracenecarboxylates[La_(2)(9-aca)_(6)(tptz)_(2)(μ-H_(2)O)]·0.25H_(2)O(1),[Ln_(2)(9-aca)_(6)(tptz)_(2)(H_(2)O)_(2)]·0.5AQ·CH_(3)COOH_(2)H_(2)O[Ln=Sm(2a),Eu(2b),Gd(2c),Tb(2d),Dy(2e),Tm(2f);AQ=9,10-anthracenedione]and[Ln_(4)(9-aca)_(10)(tptz)_(2)(CH3COO)2]·H_(2)O[Ln=Eu(3a),Gd(3b),Dy(3c)].1 displays a di-nuclear centrosymmetric moiety[La_(2)(9-aca)_(6)(tptz)_(2)(μ-H_(2)O)]built up from two complex[La(9-aca)_(2)(tptz)]groups bridged by one H_(2)O molecule and two syn-syn-μ2-η1:η1-9-aca-bridging ligands,while 2a-2f are isostructural and co mprise another di-nuclear centrosymmetric moieties[Ln_(2)(9-aca)_(6)(tptz)_(2)(H_(2)O)_(2)]based on two complex[Ln(9-aca)_(2)(tptz)(H_(2)O)]groups connected by two syn-syn-μ2-η1:η1-9-aca-bridging ligands,3a-3c are isostructural and show tetra-nuclear centro symmetric moieties[Ln4(9-aca)10(tptz)2(CH3COO)2]containing three types of coordination modes of *** present compounds offer the only examples of lanthanide 9-anthracenecarboxylates decorated by optically active *** investigations of 2a,2c-2f,and 3b-3c indicate that 3c is typical of slow relaxation of the magnetization,while 2c and 3b show significant magnetocaloric effect(MCE)with the value of-ΔSm of 5.26 J/(kg·K)at 4 K and 15.65 J/(kg·K)at 2 K(ΔH=7 T),*** luminescent properties were also studied and reveal that the characteristic luminescent properties of the 7r-conjugated aromatic ligands are introduced into magnetic lanthanide 9-anthracenecarboxylates,simultaneously exhibiting slow magnetic relaxation(or MCE)and luminescen

Biomineralization and mineralization using microfluidics:A comparison study

Biomineralization through microbial process has attracted great attention in the field of geotechnical engineering due to its ability to bind granular materials,clog pores,and seal *** minerals formed by biomineralization are generally the same as that by mineralization,their mechanical behaviors show a significant *** study aims to figure out the differences between biomineralization and mineralization processes by visualizing and tracking the formation of minerals using *** biomineralization and mineralization processes occurred in the Y-shaped sandcontaining microchip that mimics the underground sand *** from different areas in the reaction microchannel of microchips were captured to directly compare the distribution of *** size and numbers from different reaction times were measured to quantify the differences between biomineralization and mineralization processes in terms of crystal *** showed that the crystals were precipitated in a faster and more uncontrollable manner in the mineralization process than that in the biomineralization process,given that those two processes presented similar precipitation *** addition,a more heterogeneous distribution of crystals was observed during the biomineralization *** precipitation behaviors were further explained by the classical nucleation crystal growth *** present microfluidic tests could advance the understanding of biomineralization and provide new insight into the optimization of biocementation technology.

Uncovering the electrooxidation behavior of 5-hydroxymethylfurfural on Ni/Co electrodes

Biomass,derived from plant photosynthesis that captures carbon dioxide to form carbohydrates,offers vast renewable *** electrooxidation of biomass,coupled with the hydrogen evolution reaction,enables the simultaneous production of biomass-based plastic monomers and green hydrogen,attracting significant scholarly ***,ambiguity remains regarding the adsorption mechanism at the catalyst surface(Langmuir-Hinshelwood or Eley-Rideal)and the adsorbed substrate *** address this,we prepared a Ni/Co electrode for the electrooxidation of 5-hydroxymethylfurfural(HMF)into 2,5-furandicarboxylic acid(FDCA)through a corrosion reaction and electro-reduction *** conversion reached 100.00%,FDCA yield reached 96.82%,and Faradic efficiency(FE)reached 92.14%.Meaningfully,utilizing in-situ spectroscopy and electrochemical methods,this work provided valuable insights into active sites and catalyst surface adsorption.
