The extraction process of gold and silver from the gold clay ore containing arsenic and manganese was *** the conventional technique,the leaching rates of gold and silver are 78.23%and 49.02%,*** eliminate the negative effects of arsenic and manganese on cyanidation and increase the gold and silver leaching rates,a novel catalyst was *** content of the catalyst used in the process was 8 g per 500 g org sample,the sample size was 60μm and the pH value was kept between 10 and *** with the catalyst for 3-5 h under certain conditions,the gold leaching rate increased to over 90%and the silver leaching rate increased to 80%-90%.The catalyst can effectively liberate gold and silver from the enclosure of arsenic and manganese and the industrial experiment has great significance to the development and utilization of the gold clay ore containing arsenic and manganese.

Target tracking is one of the most important applications of wireless sensor networks. Optimized computation and energy dissipation are critical requirements to save the limited resource of sensor nodes. A new robust and energy-efficient collaborative target tracking framework is proposed in this article. After a target is detected, only one active cluster is responsible for the tracking task at each time step. The tracking algorithm is distributed by passing the sensing and computation operations from one cluster to another. An event-driven cluster reforming scheme is also proposed for balancing energy consumption among nodes. Observations from three cluster members are chosen and a new class of particle filter termed cost-reference particle filter （CRPF） is introduced to estimate the target motion at the cluster head. This CRPF method is quite robust for wireless sensor network tracking applications because it drops the strong assumptions of knowing the probability distributions of the system process and observation noises. In simulation experiments, the performance of the proposed collaborative target tracking algorithm is evaluated by the metrics of tracking precision and network energy consumption.

The recent realization of valley physics in photonic systems has enriched the topological phases of light with protected edge modes and shown applications in designing high-performance photonic devices. However, the widely reported valley Hall effect of light in two-dimensional systems is limited to one single polarization. Here, we present dual-polarization two-dimensional valley photonic crystals by simultaneously opening two frequency accidental degenerate Dirac cones. Two band gaps with different polarizations are characterized by opposite-valley Chern numbers, which are confirmed by the opposite-phase vortex distributions of bulk modes and opposite Berry curvatures. This situation results in the polarization-dependent refraction of bulk and edge modes, which locate in opposite valleys. The polarization-independent topological valley transport is also demonstrated. Our work shows the flexible control of light in topological photonic systems with a polarization degree of freedom and has applications in polarization multiplexing photonic devices.

Brain diseases, including brain tumors, neurodegenerative disorders, cerebrovasculardiseases, and traumatic brain injuries, are among the major disordersinfluencing human health, currently with no effective therapy. Due to the lowregeneration capacity of neurons, insufficient secretion of neurotrophic factors,and the aggravation of ischemia and hypoxia after nerve injury, irreversible lossof functional neurons and nerve tissue damage occurs. This damage is difficult torepair and regenerate the central nervous system after injury. Neural stem cells(NSCs) are pluripotent stem cells that only exist in the central nervous *** have good self-renewal potential and ability to differentiate into neurons,astrocytes, and oligodendrocytes and improve the cellular *** transplantation approaches have been made for various neurodegenerativedisorders based on their regenerative potential. This review summarizes anddiscusses the characteristics of NSCs, and the advantages and effects of NSCs inthe treatment of brain diseases and limitations of NSC transplantation that need tobe addressed for the treatment of brain diseases in the future.

In the past two decades,the field of surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) has flourished and many rational strategies have been reported for the successful construction of SERS ***,it still lacks the mass-production and programmability for practical applications with arbitrary configurations,and it is highly desirable to develop SERS substrates with strong signal enhancement,large-scale surface area,easy fabrication and low ***,we demonstrate a large-area fabrication (1.5 m × 5 m) of low-cost (18.8 dollars per square meter),highly sensitive,flexible and transparent SERS substrate by a simple solution *** high sensitivity of SERS substrate using 3,3'-diethylthiatricarbocyanine iodide (DTTCI) as probe molecules is strongly dependent on the density and diameter of gold nanoparticles (NPs) on the surface of nylon mesh with the best enhancement factor (EF) of 9.17 × 10^10 and the SERS detection limit of DTTCI molecules is as low as 10-14 M which shows no obvious degradation even after 10,000 cycles of fatigue test,high temperature (above than 160 ℃) and acid-alkali treatment,indicating their excellent stability for the performance in all climates.

In order to effectively recycle resource for the benefit of the global environment, the utilization of waste plastics as auxiliary injectant for blast furnaces is becoming increasingly important. Combustion kinetics of plastics-coal blends with 0, 10%, 20% and 40% waste plastics (WP) are investigated separately by thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) from ambient temperature to 900 ℃ in air atmosphere. These blends are combusted at the heating rates of 5, 10 and 20 ℃/min. The results indicate that, with the increase of waste plastics content, the combustion processes of blends could be divided into one stage, two stages and three stages. The waste plastics content and heating rates have important effects on the main combustion processes of blends. With the increase of waste plastics content, the ignition temperature and the final combustion temperature of blends tend to decrease, while the combustion reaction becomes fiercer. With the increase of the heating rate, the ignition temperature, the mass loss rate of the peaks and the final combustion temperature of blends combustion tend to increase. The Flynn-Wall-Ozawa (FWO) iso-conversional method is used for the kinetic analysis of the main combustion process. The results indicate that, when the waste plastics content varied from 0 to 40%, the values of activation energy increase from 126.05 to 184.12 kJ /mol.

Chern insulators have been generalized to many classical wave systems and thereby lead to many potential applications such as robust waveguides, quantum computation and high-performance lasers. However, the band structure of a material can be either topologically trivial or non-trivial, depending on how the crystal structure is designed. Here, we propose a second Chern crystal in a four-dimensional parameter space by introducing two extra synthetic translation dimensions. Since the topology of the bulk bands in the synthetic translation space is intrinsically non-trivial, our proposed four-dimensional crystal is guaranteed to be topologically non-trivial regardless of the crystal’s detailed configuration. We derive the topologically protected modes on the lower dimensional boundaries of such a crystal via dimension ***, we observe the one-dimensional gapless dislocation modes and confirm their robustness in experiments. Our findings provide novel perspectives on topologically non-trivial crystals and may inspire designs of classical wave devices.

BACKGROUND Synaptophysin plays a key role in synaptic development and plasticity of neurons and is closely related to the cognitive process of Alzheimer’s disease(AD)*** neural stem cells(NSCs)improve the damaged nerve *** effects of Sanjiao acupuncture on cognitive impairment may be related to the regulation of the NSC *** To explore the anti-dementia mechanism of acupuncture by regulating the NSC *** NSCs were isolated from pregnant senescence-accelerated mouse resistant 1(SAMR1)mice,labeled with BrdU,and injected into the hippocampus of senescence-accelerated mouse prone 8(SAMP8)***-month-old senescence-accelerated mice(SAM)were randomly divided into six groups:SAMR1(RC),SAMP8(PC),sham transplantation(PS),NSC transplantation(PT),NSC transplantation with acupuncture(PTA),and NSC transplantation with nonacupoint acupuncture(PTN).Morris water maze test was used to study the learning and memory ability of mice after NSC ***-eosin staining and immunofluorescence were used to observe the histopathological changes and NSC proliferation in mice.A co-culture model of hippocampal slices and NSCs was established in vitro,and the synaptophysin expression in the hippocampal microenvironment of mice was observed by flow cytometry after acupuncture *** Morris water maze test showed significant cognitive impairment of learning and memory in 8-mo-old SAMP8,which improved in all the NSC transplantation *** behavioral change in the PTA group was stronger than those in the other two groups(P<0.05).Histopathologically,the hippocampal structure was clear,the cell arrangement was dense and orderly,and the necrosis of cells in CA1 and CA3 areas was significantly reduced in the PTA group when compared with the PC *** BrdU-positive proliferating cells were found in NSC hippocampal transplantation groups,and the number increased significantly in the PTA group than in the
