Accurate simulations of pure-viscoacoustic wave propagation in tilted transversely isotropic media

Forward modeling of seismic wave propagation is crucial for the realization of reverse time migration(RTM) and full waveform inversion(FWI) in attenuating transversely isotropic media. To describe the attenuation and anisotropy properties of subsurface media, the pure-viscoacoustic anisotropic wave equations are established for wavefield simulations, because they can provide clear and stable wavefields. However, due to the use of several approximations in deriving the wave equation and the introduction of a fractional Laplacian approximation in solving the derived equation, the wavefields simulated by the previous pure-viscoacoustic tilted transversely isotropic(TTI) wave equations has low accuracy. To accurately simulate wavefields in media with velocity anisotropy and attenuation anisotropy, we first derive a new pure-viscoacoustic TTI wave equation from the exact complex-valued dispersion formula in viscoelastic vertical transversely isotropic(VTI) media. Then, we present the hybrid finite-difference and low-rank decomposition(HFDLRD) method to accurately solve our proposed pure-viscoacoustic TTI wave equation. Theoretical analysis and numerical examples suggest that our pure-viscoacoustic TTI wave equation has higher accuracy than previous pure-viscoacoustic TTI wave equations in describing q P-wave kinematic and attenuation characteristics. Additionally, the numerical experiment in a simple two-layer model shows that the HFDLRD technique outperforms the hybrid finite-difference and pseudo-spectral(HFDPS) method in terms of accuracy of wavefield modeling.

Experimental Study on Engineering Behavior of Solidified Soil for Scour Repair and Protection

A new scour countermeasure using solidified slurry for offshore foundation has been proposed *** solidified slurry is pumped to seabed area around foundation for scour protection or pumped into the developed scour holes for scour repair as the fluidized material solidifies *** the pumping operation and solidification,the engineering behaviors of solidified slurry require to be considered synthetically for the reliable application in scour repair and protection of ocean engineering such as the pumpability related flow value,flow diffusion behavior related rheological property,anti-scour performance related retention rate in solidification and bearing capacity related strength property after *** this study,a series of laboratory tests are conducted to investigate the effects of mix proportion(initial water content and binder content)on the flow value,rheological properties,density,retention rate of solidified slurry and unconfined compressive strength(UCS).The results reveal that the flow value increases with the water content and decreases with the binder *** the solidified slurry exhibits Bingham plastic behavior when the shear rate is larger than 5 s^(-1..The Bingham model has been employed to fit the rheology test results,and empirical formulas for obtaining the density,yield stress and viscosity are established,providing scientific support for the numerical assessment of flow and diffusion of solidified *** rate of solidified slurry decreases with the water flow velocity and flow value,which means the pumpability of solidified slurry is contrary to anti-scour *** unconfined compressive strength after solidification reduces as the water content increases and binder content decreases.A design and application procedure of solidified soil for scour repair and protection is also proposed for engineering reference.

Internet of Vehicles (IoV) is a new system that enables individual vehicles to connect with nearby vehicles,people, transportation infrastructure, and networks, thereby realizing amore intelligent and efficient transportationsystem. The movement of vehicles and the three-dimensional (3D) nature of the road network cause the topologicalstructure of IoV to have the high space and time *** modeling and structure recognition for 3Droads can benefit the description of topological changes for IoV. This paper proposes a 3Dgeneral roadmodel basedon discrete points of roads obtained from GIS. First, the constraints imposed by 3D roads on moving vehicles areanalyzed. Then the effects of road curvature radius (Ra), longitudinal slope (Slo), and length (Len) on speed andacceleration are studied. Intermittent sliding-lock-knot suture for limbal conjunctival autograft fixation in pterygium surgery:a technique note

AIM:To report a technique used with intermittent slidinglock-knot(ISLK)fixation for limbal conjunctival autografts in pterygium surgery and compared with those of routine intermittent(RI)***:Consecutive patients with primary pterygium who had undergone pterygium excision combined with limbal conjunctival autograft transplantation between March 2021.and March 2022 at our institute were retrospectively *** outcome measures were mean duration of surgery and suture removal,degree of conjunctival hyperemia on postoperative day 1.pain score at suture removal,postoperative symptoms at 6mo,including conjunctival hyperemia,foreign body sensation,and graft ***:Ninety-eight patients underwent monocular surgery and were divided into ISLK(51.eyes)and RI(47 eyes)groups according to the type of conjunctiva autograft fixation method *** was no significant difference in mean duration of surgery between the two groups(1..59±2.39min vs 1..1.±2.20min,P=0.41.);however,compared to the RI group,shorter suture removal times were observed in the ISLK group[0.58min(0.42-0.87)vs 3.00min(2.21.4.1.),P1..The degree of conjunctival hyperemia on postoperative day 1.was milder in the ISLK group(P1..Pain scores at suture removal were lower in the ISLK group than in RI group[1.0-3)vs 2(1.4),P1..Postoperative symptoms at 6mo were comparable between the groups(P=0.487),with no ***:ISLK is an innovative method for limbal conjunctival autograft fixation after pterygium *** to RI fixation,ISLK facilitates suture removal and reduces discomfort,with comparable surgery duration and less conjunctival hyperemia.

Ultrasensitive detection of micro RNA-21.in human serum based on the confinement effect enhanced chemical etching of gold nanorods

Natural enzymes,such as horseradish peroxidase(HRP),are a class of important biocatalysts with the high specificity,but their catalytic efficiency is usually ***,the higher catalytic efficiency induced by the confinement effect is promising in optical sensing *** this work,a dark-field light scattering sensing platform was fabricated by the confinement effect of HRP from hybridization chain reaction(HCR)and then released to solution by the toehold-mediated strand displacement reaction(TSDR).Then,HRP catalyzed the 3,3,5,5-tetramethylbenzidine(TMB)to TMB^(2+)with the assistance of hydrogen peroxide,which etched the gold nanorods(Au NRs)with the weakened light *** single-particle assay was established based on the decreased light scattering intensity of AuNRs under dark-field *** proposed assay revealed excellent analytical performance within a linear range from 25 pmol/L to 600 pmol/L,and a low limit of detection of 3.1. pmol/***,it also manifested satisfactory recovery of mi RNA-21.in human serum *** high sensitivity,excellent specificity,and universal applicability make this sensing platform promising for disease diagnosis.
