Forward modeling of seismic wave propagation is crucial for the realization of reverse time migration(RTM) and full waveform inversion(FWI) in attenuating transversely isotropic media. To describe the attenuation and anisotropy properties of subsurface media, the pure-viscoacoustic anisotropic wave equations are established for wavefield simulations, because they can provide clear and stable wavefields. However, due to the use of several approximations in deriving the wave equation and the introduction of a fractional Laplacian approximation in solving the derived equation, the wavefields simulated by the previous pure-viscoacoustic tilted transversely isotropic(TTI) wave equations has low accuracy. To accurately simulate wavefields in media with velocity anisotropy and attenuation anisotropy, we first derive a new pure-viscoacoustic TTI wave equation from the exact complex-valued dispersion formula in viscoelastic vertical transversely isotropic(VTI) media. Then, we present the hybrid finite-difference and low-rank decomposition(HFDLRD) method to accurately solve our proposed pure-viscoacoustic TTI wave equation. Theoretical analysis and numerical examples suggest that our pure-viscoacoustic TTI wave equation has higher accuracy than previous pure-viscoacoustic TTI wave equations in describing q P-wave kinematic and attenuation characteristics. Additionally, the numerical experiment in a simple two-layer model shows that the HFDLRD technique outperforms the hybrid finite-difference and pseudo-spectral(HFDPS) method in terms of accuracy of wavefield modeling.

To understand the dynamic process of polymer detachment, it is necessary to determine the mean detachment time of a single breakable link, which is modeled as a spring. Normally, this time can be viewed as the escape of a Brownian particle from the potential well of the spring. However, as the free dangling length of the polymer chain increases, the conformational entropy of the chain is affected by geometric confinement. It means that the wall exerts a repulsive force on the chain, resulting in accelerated link detachment from a macroscopic perspective. In this work, we investigate the effect of entropy on the detachment rate in the case where the substrate is spherical. We demonstrate that spherical confinement accelerates chain detachment both inside and outside the sphere. An analytical expression for the mean detachment time of breakable links is given, which includes an additional pre-factor that is related to the partition function. Additionally, we analyze the expressions for entropic forces inside the sphere, outside the sphere, and on a flat wall, comparing their magnitudes to explain the difference in mean detachment time.

We adopt a floor field cellular automata model to study the statistical properties of bidirectional pedestrian flow movingin a straight corridor. We introduce a game-theoretic framework to deal with the conflict of multiple pedestrians tryingto move to the same target location. By means of computer simulations, we show that the complementary cumulative distributionof the time interval between two consecutive pedestrians leaving the corridor can be fitted by a stretched exponentialdistribution, and surprisingly, the statistical properties of the two types of pedestrian flows are affected differently by theflow ratio, i.e., the ratio of the pedestrians walking toward different directions. We also find that the jam probability exhibitsa non-monotonic behavior with the flow ratio, where the worst performance arises at an intermediate flow ratio of around0.2. Our simulation results are consistent with some empirical observations, which suggest that the peculiar characteristicsof the pedestrians may attributed to the anticipation mechanism of collision avoidance.

The supercritical CO_(2) Brayton cycle is considered a promising energy conversion system for Generation IV reactors for its simple layout,compact structure,and high cycle *** models of four Brayton cycle layouts are developed in this study for different reactors to reduce the cost and increase the thermohydraulic performance of nuclear power generation to promote the commercialization of nuclear *** analysis,multi-objective optimizations,and four decision-making methods are applied to obtain each Brayton scheme’s optimal thermohydraulic and economic *** show that for the same design thermal power scale of reactors,the higher the core’s exit temperature,the better the Brayton cycle’s thermo-economic *** the four-cycle layouts,the recompression cycle(RC)has the best overall performance,followed by the simple recuperation cycle(SR)and the intercooling cycle(IC),and the worst is the reheating cycle(RH).However,RH has the lowest total cost of investment(C_(tot))of$1619.85 million,and IC has the lowest levelized cost of energy(LCOE)of 0.012$/(kWh).The nuclear Brayton cycle system’s overall performance has been improved due to *** performance of the molten salt reactor combined with the intercooling cycle(MSR-IC)scheme has the greatest improvement,with the net output power(W_(net)),thermal efficiencyη_(t),and exergy efficiency(η_(e))improved by 8.58%,8.58%,and 11.21%,*** performance of the lead-cooled fast reactor combined with the simple recuperation cycle scheme was optimized to increase C_(tot) by 27.78%.In comparison,the internal rate of return(IRR)increased by only 7.8%,which is not friendly to investors with limited *** the nuclear Brayton cycle,the molten salt reactor combined with the recompression cycle scheme should receive priority,and the gas-cooled fast reactor combined with the reheating cycle scheme should be considered carefully.

The Kherlen River is the main water source for Hulun Lake,the largest lake in northern *** to reduced inflow from the Kherlen River,Hulun Lake experienced rapid shrinkage at the beginning of the 21st century,posing a serious threat to the ecological security of northern ***,there is still a significant lack of projections regarding future climate change and its hydrological response in the Kherlen River *** study analyzed the projected climate and streamflow changes in the Kherlen River basin,a vital yet vulnerable international semi-arid steppes type basin.A combination of multi-model ensemble projection techniques,and the soil and water assessment tool(SWAT)model was employed to examine the spatio-temporal changes in precipitation,temperature,streamflow,and the associated uncertainties in the *** temperature(an increase of 1.84-6.42℃)and the precipitation(an increase of 15.0-46.0 mm)of Kherlen River basin are projected to increase by 2100,leading to a rise in streamflow(1.08-4.78 m^(3) s^(-1)).The upstream of the Kherlen River exhibits remarkable increasing trends in precipitation,which has a dominant influence on streamflow of Kherlen *** increases in streamflow are observed in April,August,September,and October compared to the reference period(1971-2000).These findings suggest a partial alleviation of water scarcity in the Kherlen River,but also an increased likelihood of hydrological extreme *** projected temperature increase in the Kherlen River basin exhibits the smallest uncertainty,while more pronounced uncertainties are found in precipitation and *** spread among the results of CMIP6 models is greater than that of CMIP5 models,with lower signal-to-noise ratio(SNR)values for temperature,precipitation,and streamflow.

Different drillingﬂuid systems are designed according to mineral composition,lithology and wellbore stability of different *** the present study,the conversion of a non-dispersed polymer drillingﬂuid into a low potas-sium anti-collapsing drillingﬂuid is *** the two drillingﬂuids belong to completely different types,the key to this conversion is represented by new inhibitors,dispersants and water-loss agents by which a non-dispersed drillingﬂuid can be turned into a dispersed drillingﬂuid while ensuring wellbore stability and reason-able rheology(carrying sand—inhibiting cuttings dispersion).In particular,the(QYZ-1)inhibitors and(FSJSS-2)dispersants are *** former can inhibit the hydration expansion capacity of clay,reduce the dynamic shear force and weaken the viscosity;the latter can improve the sealing effect and reduce theﬁltrate *** results have shown that after adding a reasonable proportion of these substances(QYZ-1:FSJSS-2)to the non-dispersed polymer drillingﬂuid,while the apparent viscosity,plastic viscosity,structural viscosity andﬂuidity index under-went almost negligible changes,the dynamic plastic ratio increased,and theﬁltration loss decreased signiﬁcantly,thereby indicating good *** to the tests(conducted in the Leijia area),the density was 1.293 g/cm3,and after standing for 24 h,the SF(static settlement factor)was ***,theﬁltration loss was reduced to 4.0 mL,the rolling recovery rate reached 96.92%,with excellent plugging and anti-collapse performances.

Finite-difference(FD) method is the most extensively employed numerical modeling technique. Nevertheless, when using the FD method to simulate the seismic wave propagation, the large spatial or temporal sampling interval can lead to dispersion errors and numerical instability. In the FD scheme, the key factor in determining both dispersion errors and stability is the selection of the FD weights. Thus,How to obtain appropriate FD weights to guarantee a stable numerical modeling process with minimum dispersion error is critical. The FD weights computation strategies can be classified into three types based on different computational ideologies, window function strategy, optimization strategy, and Taylor expansion strategy. In this paper, we provide a comprehensive overview of these three strategies by presenting their fundamental theories. We conduct a set of comparative analyses of their strengths and weaknesses through various analysis tests and numerical modelings. According to these comparisons, we provide two potential research directions of this field: Firstly, the development of a computational strategy for FD weights that enhances stability; Secondly, obtaining FD weights that exhibit a wide bandwidth while minimizing dispersion errors.
