Imaging features and correlation with short-term prognosis in laparoscopic radical resection of colorectal cancer

Autocyclic switching processes and architecture of lobes in river-dominated lacustrine deltas

River-dominated lacustrine deltas typically consist of multiple lobes due to autogenic lobe switching that occurs over short time scales. However, the switching patterns of multiple lobes in these deltas remain poorly understood, and the architectural features attributed to lobe switching are also lacking. By integrating Delft3D simulations, flume experiments, and modern deposit analysis, we proposed that autogenic lobe switching follows a cyclic pattern. Autocyclicity begins with the formation of an offshore lobe and concludes after a series of longshore lobe growth events, marked by longshore avulsions occurring along the sides of offshore distributary *** avulsions follow a sequence that usually occurs earlier distally than proximally and subsequently occurs on one longshore side and then on the other side. Each lobe begins with rapid growth, which gradually slows and then stops once a channel avulsion is influenced by the backwater effect that triggers lobe switching. Three signals indicate lobe switching: a decrease in progradation rate, foreset slope steepening coupled with topset slope gentling, and the deposition of mud-dominated sediments. The number of autocyclic events never exceeds *** first two autocyclicities contribute to more than 55% of delta length and 70% of delta area. The lobes are separated by 1-6 stages of mud-dominated accretion beds that exhibit a downstream-inclined shape and convexup or lateral overlapping pattern. This study conducts a coupled growth-geometric assessment to establish an architectural pattern for river-dominated lacustrine deltas. This architectural pattern offers valuable insights into predicting sandy lobe distribution in river-dominated lacustrine delta reservoirs, and the architecture of muddy accretion beds aids in predicting the rule of oil-water movement and distribution of remaining oil.

目的:研究缺血再灌注时异丙酚对大鼠肠黏膜的保护作用及可能机制.方法:96只成年雄性Wistar大鼠,随机分为假手术组、缺血再灌注(I/R)+生理盐水组和I/R+异丙酚组.再灌流后0、30、60、120、240min(每时间点8只)处死动物取肠袋组织,采用病理学方法观察肠黏膜损伤指数,ELLSA检测检测肠黏膜TNF-α中含量变化;分光光度法测定肠组织中DAO含量的变化.结果:与I/R+生理盐水组相比,I/R+异丙酚组肠黏膜病理变化较轻,肠黏膜中TNF-α含量明显减少,60min最明显(9.52±2.82vs12.08±3.64,P<0.01),肠袋组织DAO含量显著增加,60min时差异显著(2.34±0.42vs0.98±0.49,P<0.01).结论:异丙酚能抑制缺血再灌注时肠黏膜中TNF-α的表达,减轻病理损害,对肠黏膜具有保护作用.

PREDICTION OF WELDING DEFORMATIONS BY FEM BASED ON INHERENT STRAINS

Welding deformations can be predicted by inherent strains that are assumed to be distributed in the welds and nearby area. This method is more convenient compared with the thermo elasto plastic finite element method because only elastic analysis is necessary. The problem is how to know the inherent strains in advance during deformation analysis. The relations between inherent strains and welding parameters based on some experimental curves and a 3 D FEM model were introduced. According to this study, the longitudinal and transverse inherent strains that are the most important factors on welding deformations can be determined. The effectiveness of the proposed methods is demonstrated through the deformation analysis of a large welded cylinder with multipass welds as an example.

[目的]通过对新疆哈萨克族和汉族胫骨平台几何参数的比较,建立起新疆哈萨克族胫骨平台特征性几何参数数据库,掌握汉族与哈萨克族民族间解剖上所存在的差异性,为哈萨克族手术技巧及手术器械的个体化设计及选择提供数据资料。[方法]在本院和合作医院分别随机抽取病房、门诊患者及健康志愿者汉族100例(200膝,其中男100膝,女100膝)、哈萨克族100例(200膝,其中男100膝,女100膝),年龄25~50岁,平均35岁。通过CT和三维重建技术完成胫骨平台薄层扫描及3D影像资料。用Volume Rendering软件实现膝关节胫骨平台几何参数的测定,包括测量胫骨平台线性参数与角度参数,并进行统计学分析。[结果]测量结果分别按照性别分组与族别配对分组,胫骨平台各项线性指标男性组均大于女性组,在同一民族之内,差异更加显著(P<0.05)。同一性别相比较,哈萨克族的相关线性制表明显大于汉族(P<0.05),女性之间的差异尤为显著(P<0.01)。胫骨平台角度参数比较,胫骨平台后倾角与内翻角同一族别中男女无明显差异,但同一性别中,哈萨克族明显大于汉族。[结论]哈萨克族的胫骨平台线性参数与角度参数均与国人平均水平有差异;只有充分考虑到哈萨克族解剖的特异性,才能很好的完成手术,预防围手术期并发症。

BACKGROUND Return to work(RTW)serves as an indication for young and middle-aged colorectal cancer(CRC)survivors to resume their normal social ***,these survivors encounter significant challenges during their RTW ***,scientific research is necessary to explore the barriers and facilitating factors of returning to work for young and middle-aged CRC *** To examine the current RTW status among young and middle-aged CRC survivors and to analyze the impact of RTW self-efficacy(RTW-SE),fear of progression(FoP),eHealth literacy(eHL),family resilience(FR),and financial toxicity(FT)on their RTW *** A cross-sectional investigation was adopted in this *** September 2022 to February 2023,a total of 209 participants were recruited through a convenience sampling method from the gastrointestinal surgery department of a class A tertiary hospital in *** investigation utilized a general information questionnaire alongside scales assessing RTW-SE,FoP,eHL,FR,and *** analyze the factors that influence RTW outcomes among young and middle-aged CRC survivors,Cox regression modeling and Kaplan-Meier survival analysis were *** A total of 43.54%of the participants successfully returned to work,with an average RTW time of 100 *** regression univariate analysis revealed that RTW-SE,FoP,eHL,FR,and FT were significantly different between the non-RTW and RTW groups(P<0.05).Furthermore,Cox regression multivariate analysis identified per capita family monthly income,job type,RTW-SE,and FR as independent influencing factors for RTW(P<0.05).CONCLUSION The RTW rate requires further *** levels of RTW-SE and FR were found to significantly increase RTW among young and middle-aged CRC *** professionals should focus on modifiable factors,such as RTW-SE and FR,to design targeted RTW support programs,thereby facilitating their timely reintegration into mainstream society.

Discovery of primary lung cancer following resection of rectal cancer lung metastasis:A case report

BACKGROUND Colorectal cancer(CRC)ranks high among the most common types of malignant *** primary cause of cancer-related mortality is metastasis,with lung metastases accounting for 32.9%of all cases of metastatic CRC(MCRC).However,cases of MCRC in the lungs,which present concurrently with primary peripheral lung adenocarcinoma,are exceptionally *** SUMMARY This report describes the case of a 52-year-old female patient who,following a colonoscopy,was diagnosed with moderately differentiated adenocarcinoma based on rectal mucosal biopsy findings.A preoperative chest computed tomography scan revealed a ground-glass nodule in the right lung and a small nodule(approximately 0.6 cm in diameter)in the extramural basal segment of the left lower lobe,which suggested multiple lung metastases from rectal *** treatment and follow-up led to a diagnosis of rectal cancer with left lung metastasis and peripheral adenocarcinoma of the lower lobe of the right *** This case report describes the therapeutic journey of a patient with lung metastasis from rectal cancer in addition to primary peripheral adenocarcinoma,thus underscoring the critical roles of multidisciplinary collaboration,personalized treatment strategies,and comprehensive patient rehabilitation guidance.

Dear Editor,Phenotypic drug discovery,which observes compound effects on physiology,has given way to targeting specific molecules,but has revived by using modern methods to find drugs based on therapeutic outcomes in disease models(Vincent et al.,2022).Osteoarthritis(OA)is a prevalent chronic joint disorder,primarily affecting knee joints,with osteoclast activation due to low-grade inflammation resulting in increased bone resorption and structural changes in the joint(Katz et al.,2021).This imbalance and the discharge of inflammatory mediators perpetuate the cycle of inflammation and tissue ***,controlling inflammation and modulating osteoclastogenesis are critical therapeutic targets for managing OA.

Wear evaluation method of drilling shaft sinking hob based on rock slag morphology and rock abrasiveness

Aiming at the serious wear problem of hob in deep and large vertical shaft constructed by drilling method in Jurassic strata in western China, a method for evaluating the wear of hob in drilling method is put forward, taking the drilling method of sinking shaft in a coal mine in the west as the research object. Firstly, based on field investigation, the wear degree and wear distribution characteristics of hob in different strata are analyzed, and relevant quantitative indexes are put forward. Secondly, the rock slag of shaft drilling rig is pretreated on site, and the image recognition method is used for post-processing, and the geometric morphology of rock slag is statistically analyzed, and its cumulative distribution law is described by exponential distribution function. Then, taking Pearson coefficient as the correlation evaluation index, the influence of rock slag particle distribution and mineral composition on hob wear index is explored, and the causes of easy wear of drilling shaft sinking hob in western China are expounded. Finally, based on the correlation analysis method, several main influencing parameters are selected, and the prediction formula of hob wear index for different rock strata is developed by using nonlinear fitting tools, and the evaluation method of replacing hob on site is put forward. The results show that: the wear of drilling hob is closely related to the geological conditions of rock strata, and the number of hob consumed per unit footage in different strata is in the order of argillaceous cemented muddy stratum > calcareous cemented mud, sand interbedded stratum ≈ calcareous and iron cemented sandy stratum > extremely weak cemented sandy stratum;The deep grinding area of shaft sinking cutterhead in western drilling method is easy to concentrate on B, C and D cutter rings, while the center cutter and its vicinity are mostly shallow grinding areas;The statistical characteristics of geometric morphology of rock slag can indirectly refle

Accumulation and Clearance of Polystyrene Microplastics in Brine Shrimp and the Responses of Microbiome and Metabolism

To investigate the accumulation kinetics of microplastics（MPs）with different characteristics in zooplankton and the related biological effects，the accumulation and clearance of polystyrene microplastics（PS-MPs）with different concentrations and particle sizes in brine shrimp（Artemia saline）were analyzed under different nutritional conditions. The responses of microbial communities and metabolic functions in brine shrimp were revealed using the combination methods of microbiome and metabolome. The results showed that the accumulation and clearance rate of PS-MPs in brine shrimp increased with the increase in exposure concentrations，showing a concentration-dependent manner. On the contrary the accumulation and clearance of PS-MPs in brine shrimp were negatively correlated with their particle sizes. The nutritional condition did not alter the accumulation kinetics of PS-MPs in brine shrimp，indicating that short-term feeding may have had no effect on the uptake and clearance of PS-MPs in brine shrimp. Compared to that in the control，exposure to PS-MPs significantly enhanced the diversity of the microbial community in brine shrimp. The proportions of Proteobacteria and Acinetobacter were increased by 0.4 folds and 12.3 folds，respectively，whereas the proportions of Firmicutes and Bacillus were decreased by 43% and 86%，respectively. This finding indicates that PS-MPs may have caused an imbalance of the bacterial community in brine shrimp by inhibiting the beneficial bacteria and stimulating the harmful bacteria，thus disrupting the metabolic function in brine shrimp. In addition，exposure to PS-MPs resulted in a production of 2 311 different metabolites in brine shrimp and mainly disrupted the pyrimidine metabolism and the biosynthesis of dermal sulfate/chondroitin sulfate in brine shrimp，leading to toxicity in the shrimp.
