Analysis on clogging of submerged entry nozzle in continuous casting of high strength steel with rare earth

The type of inclusions in tundish steel and the formation mechanism of the submerged entry nozzle(SEN)clogging in the continuous casting of the rare earth(RE)high strength steel without calcium treatment were studied based on the plant trials and thermodynamic *** was found that Ce_(2)O_(3) and CeAlO_(3) in tundish molten steel were transformed into Ce_(2)O_(2)S+CaO-Al_(2)O_(3) with the size of 2-3 lm during *** the flow velocity of molten steel on surface of the SEN was slow due to the boundary layer effect,Ce_(2)O_(3) inclusion in molten steel reacted with Al_(2)O_(3) in the SEN refractory to form *** the continuous erosion of molten steel and reaction,the compositions of CeAlO_(3),Al_(2)O_(3) and CaO were aggregated,and the clogging layers with different zones were formed on surface of the ***,a small amount of molten steel remaining in the arc zone and corner zone of the SEN formed solidified *** calcium treatment is canceled,the reaction probability between inclusions in molten steel and refractory should be reduced by improving the material and shape of the SEN.

Pulmonary artery aneurysm is a rare condition caused by both congenital and acquired etiology. Diverse causes include congenital heart diseases, vasculitis, infections, neoplasm, complications in connective tissue diseases, pulmonary artery hypertension, Hughes-Stovin syndrome, and trauma, among which, vasculitis in Behcet＇s disease is the most common cause. Mortality from this rare condition is high due to the tendency to rupture and limitations in available treatment.

AIM To explore the kinetic changes in plasma D(-)- lactate and lipopolyssccharide(LPS)levels,and investigate whether D(-)-lactate could be used as a marker of intestinal injury in rats following gut ischemia/ reperfusion,burn,and acute necrotizing pancreatitis (ANP). METHODS Three models were developed in rats:① gut ischemia/ reperfusion obtained by one hour of superior mesenteric artery occlusion followed by reperfusion;② severe burn injury created by 30% of total body surface area(TBSA)full-thickness scald burn;and ③ ANP induced by continuous inverse infusion of sodium taurocholate and trypsin into main pancreatic duct. Plasma levels of D(-)-lactate in systemic circulation and LPS in portal circulation were measured by enzymatic- spectrophotometric method and limulus amebocyte lysate (LAL)test kit,*** samples of intestine were taken for histological analysis. RESULTS One hour gut ischemia followed by reperfusion injuries resulted in a significant elevation in plasma D(-)- lactate and LPS levels,and there was a significant correlation between the plasma D(-)-lactate and LPS(r =0.719,P<0.05).The plasma concentrations of D(-)- lactate and LPS increased significantly at 6h postburn, and there was also a remarkable correlation between them (r = 0.877,P < 0.01).D(-)-lactate and LPS levels elevated significantly at 2h after ANP,with a similar significant correlation between the two levels(r = 0.798, P < 0.01 ).The desquamation of intestine villi and infiltration of inflammatory cells in the lamina propria were observed in all groups. CONCLUSION The changes of plasma D(-)-lactate levels in systemic blood paralleled with LPS levels in the portal vein *** measurement of plasma D(-)-lactate level may be a useful marker to assess the intestinal injury and to monitor an increase of intestinal permeability and endotoxemia following severe injuries in early stage.

[ Objective] To explore the growth characteristics of domestic and introduced alfalfa varieties and provide scientific guidance for the intro- duction of superior alfalfa varieties. [Method] A total of 17 domestic and introduced alfalfa varieties were selected. Through a three-year compari- son of varieties, their biological characters, plant height, branch density, fresh forage yield, leaf stem ratio and other traits were detected and ana- lyzed. [ Result] All the tested alfalfa went through the cold winter between 2006 and 2008 and could finish the reproductive cycle. The forage yield per plant and the plant height of the domestic alfalfa varieties were the highest, but their branching ability and the leaf stem ratio were lower. The European alfalfa varieties had strong branching capability, and the leaf yield of the American alfalfa varieties was the highest. [ Conclusion] The do- mestic alfalfa varieties have suoerior oerformances, while the introduced alfalfa varieties have better aualities.

Background Pulmonary thromboembolism （PTE） has become a common disease that severely endangers people＇s health. This study analysed the changes in proportion and mortality of PTE in hospitalized patients to provide data for prevention and management of the disease. Methods The data of 763 hospitalized patients with PTE from 1974 to 2005 in Fuwai Hospital were analysed. Results During the 1970s, 0.27% of patients in a cardiovascular hospital had PTE （〈 5 cases per year）; while so far this century the proportion is 0.94% （48 to 113 per year）. The mortality of hospitalized PTE patients fell from 20.00% in the 1970s to 4.10% this century. Prior to 1990, the mortality of hospitalized PTE patients was 12.50%, and in the years after 1990 only 3.40%. The difference was statistically significant （P〈0.005）. People with this disease were mostly between the ages of 30 and 69 years. Men were most susceptible between the ages of 30 and 69 years, while women between the ages of 40 and 69 years. Men contracted PTE 10 years earlier than women. The mortality of male PTE patients was 4.70%, not significantly different from female patients, 5.06% （0.50〈P〈0.75）. There were not any significant differences between the mortality of patients in the different age groups overall （≤39, 40-49, 50-59, and ≥60 years, P〉0.1）. More people contracted the disease in winter than in other seasons （P〈0.05）. There was no obvious difference between the mortality in different seasons overall （0.75〈P〈0.90）. Conclusion PTE is an increasingly significant disease and deserves adequate attention.

In this study,a novel Ni-W-Co-Mo medium heavy alloy (MHA) was designed to improve its mechanical strength via Mo *** the Ni-42W-10Co-xM o alloy series,where x represents the weight percent of Mo and varies between 0,1,2,5,and 10,the microstructure transitions from a dendritic structure to a hypoeutectic structure as the Mo content increases from 0 to 5wt.%.Moreover,as the Mo content increases from 0to 10wt.%,the distribution of theμ-phase shifts from being individually dispersed to forming aggregates,and its volume fraction rises from 0.5%to 7.9%.Notably,theμ-phase evolves into an eutectic microstructure,which helps in minimizing the segregation of *** change is accompanied by a substantial enhancement in mechanical properties;specifically,the compressive yield strength at room temperature increases from 350 MPa to 646 MPa,indicating a significant 85%***,the microhardness increases from 230 HV to 304 *** dynamics simulations further reveal that the strengthening mechanism of Ni-42W-10Co-xM o alloys is Mo-induced solid solution strengthening and precipitation strengthening.

Objective ：To design a software to do the complicated and multiple calculations automatically in routine internal radionuelide irradiation therapy to avoid mistakes and shorten patients waiting times. Methods：The software is designed on the Microsoft Windows XP operating system. Visual Basic 5.0 and Microsoft Access 2000 are used respectively as the programming language and database system here. The data and DBGrid controls and VB data window guide of Visual Basic were used to control access to and Access database. Results ： Not only can the radioactivity of any radionuelide be calculated, but also the administered total iodine dose of therapy for hyperthyroidism or thyroid cancer and the total administered 153Sm-EDTMP solutions for remedy of bone metastasis of malignant tumor can be ciphered out. Conclusion ：The work becomes easier, faster, more correct and interesting when the software can make the complicated and multiple calculations automatically. Patients＇ information, diagnosis and treatment can be recorded for further study.

目的研究积雪草Centella asiatica人工种植技术。方法以积雪草产量及药材中积雪草苷和羟基积雪草苷的总量为评价指标,考察土壤类型、种植密度、基肥、施肥方式及荫蔽度等不同因素对种植效果的影响。结果积雪草适合种植于泥炭土-珍珠岩(1∶1)中,种植密度为20 cm×20 cm,基肥为有机肥/复合肥(1∶1),基肥用量为7.5 g/m2,定植4个月后施尿素(18 g/m2)、5个月后施复合肥(45 g/m2),适宜荫蔽度为75%。结论本实验研究可为建立积雪草GAP种植基地奠定基础。
