Low-viscosity oligoether esters(OEEs)as high-efficiency lubricating oils:Insight on their structure‒lubricity relationship

Development of energy-efficient lubricants is a way to reduce energy consumption for transportation,with the tendency to design molecules that are beneficial in reducing the viscosity of synthetic *** esters(OEEs),as a low-viscosity ester base oil,have characteristics such as simple synthesis and excellent lubrication effect;however,the application of OEEs in tribology field has rarely been *** objective of the present study is to investigate the effect of structure on the lubricating performance of OEEs and to develop a predictive model for OEEs based on quantitative structure‒property relationship(QSPR)through a combination of experiment and statistical *** showed that glycol chains contribute positively to lubrication with the ether functional groups increasing the sites of *** to branched-chain OEEs,straight-chain OEEs exhibited reduced wear,which was mainly due to the thicker adsorption film formed by the straight-chain ***,carbon films were detected on lightly worn surfaces,indicating that OEEs underwent oxidation during the friction *** on the results of principal component analysis(PCA)and partial least squares(PLS),it could be found that the predictive models of viscosity‒temperature performance,thermal stability performance,coefficient of friction(COF),and wear volume(WV)performed well and *** them,COF and WV can be best predicted with an R^(2) of about 0.90.

First-principles study on the diffusion behavior of Cs and I in Cr coating

Cs and I can migrate through fuel-cladding interfaces and accelerate the cladding corrosion process induced by the fuel-cladding chemical *** coating has emerged as an important candidate for mitigating this chemical *** this study,first-principles calculations were employed to investigate the diffusion behavior of Cs and I in the Cr bulk and grain boundaries to reveal the microscopic interaction mitigation mechanisms at the fuel-cladding *** interaction between these two fission products and the Cr coating were studied systematically,and the Cs and I temperature-dependent diffusion coefficients in Cr were obtained using Bocquet’s oversized solute-atom model and Le Claire’s nine-frequency model,*** results showed that the Cs and I migration barriers were significantly lower than that of Cr,and the Cs and I diffusion coefficients were more than three orders of magnitude larger than the Cr self-diffusion coefficient within the temperature range of Generation-IV fast reactors(below 1000 K),demonstrating the strong penetration ability of Cs and ***,Cs and I are more likely to diffuse along the grain boundary because of the generally low migration barriers,indicating that the grain boundary serves as a fast diffusion channel for Cs and I.

The innate immune pathway is receiving increasing attention in cancer *** pathway is ubiquitous across various cell types,not only in innate immune cells but also in adaptive immune cells,tumor cells,and stromal *** targeting the innate immune pathway have shown profound changes in the tumor microenvironment(TME)and improved tumor prognosis in preclinical ***,to date,the clinical success of drugs targeting the innate immune pathway remains ***,recent studies have shown that activation of the innate immune pathway can paradoxically promote tumor *** uncertainty surrounding the therapeutic effectiveness of targeted drugs for the innate immune pathway is a critical issue that needs immediate *** this review,we observe that the role of the innate immune pathway demonstrates heterogeneity,linked to the tumor development stage,pathway status,and specific cell *** propose that within the TME,the innate immune pathway exhibits multidimensional *** diversity is fundamentally rooted in cellular heterogeneity and is manifested as a variety of signaling *** pro-tumor effect of innate immune pathway activation essentially reflects the suppression of classical pathways and the activation of potential pro-tumor alternative *** our understanding of the tumor's innate immune pathway network and employing appropriate targeting strategies can enhance our ability to harness the anti-tumor potential of the innate immune pathway and ultimately bridge the gap from preclinical to clinicalapplication.

Exploring the physiochemical properties and expanding the applications of actinide-containing materials is paramount to address the escalating challenge of radioactive waste ***,unlocking the full potential of these materials is largely crippled by the radiotoxicity of the *** report here two porous and luminescent thorium-based metal-organic frameworks(Th-BITD-1 and Th-BITD-2)that serve as a bifunctional platform for sequencing and sensing of radioiodine,a much more radioactive fission product discharged during the nuclear fuel *** particular,Th-BITD-1 displays better iodine uptake performance than Th-BITD-2 via the solution-based process and vapor diffusion with the maximum adsorption capacities of 831 and 1099 mg/g,*** thermore,Th-BITD-1 can function as a highly sensitive luminescence sensor for iodate with a quenching constant(Ksv)of 6.6(5)×10^(3) M^(-1)and a detection limit of 2.02μM,respectively,outperforming 2.96(6)×10^(3)M^(-1)and 10.5μM of ***,a positive correlation between the sensing efficacy and the iodate adsorption capacity has been *** work highlights the opportunity in designing novel actinide-based MOFs for their potential applications in radiological fields,e.g.,radionuclide separation and detection.

Terrain or climate factor dominates vegetation resilience?Evidence from three national parks across different climatic zones in China

Vegetation resilience(VR),providing an objective measure of ecosystem health,has received considerable attention,however,there is still limited understanding of whether the dominant factors differ across different climate *** took the three national parks(Hainan Tropical Rainforest National Park,HTR;Wuyishan National Park,WYS;and Northeast Tiger and Leopard National Park,NTL)of China with less human interference as cases,which are distributed in different climatic zones,including tropical,subtropical and temperate monsoon climates,***,we employed the probabilistic decay method to explore the spatio-temporal changes in the VR and their natural driving patterns using Geographically Weighted Regression(GWR)model as *** results revealed that:(1)from 2000 to 2020,the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index(NDVI)of the three national parks fluctuated between 0.800 and 0.960,exhibiting an overall upward trend,with the mean NDVI of NTL(0.923)>HTR(0.899)>WYS(0.823);(2)the positive trend decay time of vegetation exceeded that of negative trend,indicating vegetation gradual recovery of the three national parks since 2012;(3)the VR of HTR was primarily influenced by elevation,aspect,average annual temperature change(AATC),and average annual precipitation change(AAPC);the WYS'VR was mainly affected by elevation,average annual precipitation(AAP),and AAPC;while the terrain factors(elevation and slope)were the main driving factors of VR in NTL;(4)among the main factors influencing the VR changes,the AAPC had the highest proportion in HTR(66.7%),and the AAP occupied the largest area proportion in WYS(80.4%).While in NTL,elevation served as the main driving factor for the VR,encompassing 64.2%of its ***,our findings indicated that precipitation factors were the main driving force for the VR changes in HTR and WYS national parks,while elevation was the main factors that drove the VR in *** research has promoted a deeper understanding of the dri

MADRL-based UAV swarm non-cooperative game under incomplete information

Unmanned Aerial Vehicles(UAVs)play increasing important role in modern *** this paper,considering the incomplete observation information of individual UAV in complex combat environment,we put forward an UAV swarm non-cooperative game model based on Multi-Agent Deep Reinforcement Learning(MADRL),where the state space and action space are constructed to adapt the real features of UAV swarm air-to-air *** multi-agent particle environment is employed to generate an UAV combat scene with continuous observation *** recently popular MADRL methods are compared extensively in the UAV swarm noncooperative game model,the results indicate that the performance of Multi-Agent Soft Actor-Critic(MASAC)is better than that of other MADRL methods by a large *** swarm employing MASAC can learn more effective policies,and obtain much higher hit rate and win *** under different swarm sizes and UAV physical parameters are also performed,which implies that MASAC owns a well generalization ***,the practicability and convergence of MASAC are addressed by investigating the loss value of Q-value networks with respect to individual UAV,the results demonstrate that MASAC is of good practicability and the Nash equilibrium of the UAV swarm non-cooperative game under incomplete information can be reached.

Ni-Catalyzed Enantioselective Difunctionalization of Alkynes to Azepine Derivatives Bearing a Quaternary Center and an Unprotected Imine

Comprehensive Summary,The azepine ring is a prominent structural scaffold in biologically significant molecules. In this study, we present a Ni(II)-catalyzed asymmetric difunctionalization of alkynes, involving intermolecular regioselective arylation and intramolecular nitrile addition, enabling the synthesis of enantioenriched azepine derivatives. This reaction simultaneously installs an all-carbon quaternary stereocenter and introduces an unprotected imine functionality, showing great promise for subsequent transformations. The reaction exhibits good tolerance toward various functional groups, resulting in high yields and enantioselectivities. The synthetic utility of this methodology is further demonstrated through gram-scale synthesis and product derivatization. This research offers an efficient approach to the synthesis of seven-membered nitrogen heterocycles.

Spatiotemporal Evolution of Urban Heat Islands and Optimization of Spatial Network Construction in the Central Urban Area of Fuzhou City, China

Although accelerated urbanization has led to economic prosperity,it has also resulted in urban heat island ***,identifying methods of using limited urban spaces to alleviate heat islands has become an urgent *** this study,we assessed the spatiotemporal evolution of urban heat islands within the central urban area of Fuzhou City,China from 2010 to *** assessment was based on a morphological spatial pattern analysis(MSPA)model and an urban thermal environment spatial network constructed us-ing the minimum cumulative resistance(MCR)*** measures for the spatial network were proposed to provide a theor-etical basis for alleviating urban heat *** results show that the heat island area within the study area gradually increased while that of urban cold island area gradually *** core area was the largest of the urban heat island patch landscape elements with a significant impact on other landscape elements,and represented an important factor underlying urban heat island network *** thermal environment network revealed a total of 197 thermal environment corridors and 93 heat island *** locations were then optimized according to the current land use,which maximized the potential of 1599.83 *** based on current land use led to an increase in climate resilience,with effective measures showing reduction in thermal environment spatial network structure and function,contributing to the mitigation of urban heat *** findings support the use of current land use patterns during urban heat island mitigation measure planning,thus providing an important reference basis for alleviating urban heat island effects.

Dynamic analysis of beta oscillations in Parkinsonian neural networks with the pedunculopontine nucleus under optogenetic control

Clinical experiments have proven that the pedunculopontine nucleus(PPN)plays a crucial role in the modulation of beta oscillations in Parkinson’s disease(PD).Here,we propose a new computational framework by introducing the PPN and related synaptic connections to the classic basal ganglia-thalamo-cortical ***,the improved model can not only simulate the basic saturated and beta activities mentioned in previous studies but also produce the normal alpha rhythm that is much closer to physiological ***,the results show that Parkinsonian oscillation activities can be controlled and modulated by the connection strength between the PPN and the globus pallidus internal nucleus(GPi)and the subthalamic nucleus(STN),supporting the fact that PPN is overinhibited in ***,the internal mechanism underlying these state transitions is further explained from the perspective of ***,both deep brain stimulation(DBS)and optogenetic technology are considered effective in terms of abnormal *** when a low-frequency DBS is added to the PPN,beta oscillations can be suppressed,but it is excited again as the DBS’s frequency gradually increases to a larger *** results coincide with the experimental results that low-frequency stimulation of the PPN is effective,and verify the rationality of the ***,we show that optogenetic stimulation of the globus pallidus external(GPe)expressing excitatory channelrhodopsin(ChR2)can effectively inhibit beta oscillations,whereas exciting the STN and PPN has a limited *** results are consistent with experimental reports suggesting that the symptoms of PD’s movement disorder can be alleviated under the GPe-ChR2,but not STN-ChR2,*** the functional role of the PPN and the feasibility of optogenetic stimulation remain to be clinically explored,the results obtained help us understand the mechanisms of beta oscillations in PD.

Clinical analysis of colistin sulfate in the treatment of pneumonia caused by carbapenem-resistant Gram-negative bacteria

BACKGROUND Multidrug-resistant Gram-negative bacteria,exacerbated by excessive use of antimicrobials and immunosuppressants,are a major health *** To study the clinical efficacy and safety of colistin sulfate in the treatment of carbapenem-resistant Gram-negative bacilli-induced pneumonia,and to provide theoretical reference for clinical diagnosis and *** This retrospective analysis involved 54 patients with Gram-negative bacilli pneumonia admitted to intensive care unit of The General Hospital of the Northern Theater Command of the People's Liberation Army of China from August 2020 to June *** bacteriological culture,the patients'airway secretions were collected to confirm the presence of Gram-negative *** patients were divided into the experimental and control groups according to the medication *** research group consisted of 28 patients who received polymyxin sulfate combined with other drugs through intravenous,nebulization,or intravenous combined with nebulization,with a daily dosage of 1.5–3.0 million *** control group consisted of 26 patients who received standard dosages of other antibiotics(including sulbactam sodium for injection,cefoperazone sodium sulbactam for injection,tigecycline,meropenem,or vaborbactam).RESULTS Of the 28 patients included in the research group,26 patients showed improvement,treatment was ineffective for two patients,and one patient died,with the treatment efficacy rate of 92.82%.Of the 26 patients in the control group,18 patients improved,treatment was ineffective for eight patients,and two patients died,with the treatment efficacy rate of 54.9%;significant difference was observed between the two groups(P<0.05).The levels of white blood cell(WBC),procalcitonin(PCT),and C-reactive protein(CRP)in both groups were significantly lower after treatment than before treatment(P<0.05),and the levels of WBC,PCT,and CRP in the research group were significantly lower than those in the control group
