In the development of new electrochemical concepts for the fabrication of high-energy-density batteries,fluorideion batteries(FIBs)have emerged as one of the valid candidates for the next generation electrochemical energy storage technologies,showing the potential to match or even surpass the current lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)in terms of energy density,safety without dendritic grains,and elimination of dependence on scarce lithium and cobalt ***,the development of FIBs is still in its infancy and their performance is far from satisfactory,with issues such as the lower fluoride-ion conductivity of the electrolytes and the reversibility of the electrodes hindering their *** reviews have mainly focused on inorganic solid electrolytes with a brief emphasis on the development of various fluoride-ion conductors and their ion-conducting ***,this review summarizes the current developments in various electrolytes,a systematic overview of the current progress for various fluoride-ion electrolytes is presented by beginning with the history,structure and classification of FIBs,ion-transport mechanisms are briefly *** advances in different classes of fluoride-ion electrolytes are *** methods for optimizing the ionic conductivity characteristics of the fluoride-ion electrolytes are ***,an outlook on the future research direction of FIBs is given by highlighting some critical issues,challenges and prospects of fluoride-ion electrolytes.

Two-Stage Approach for Targeted Knowledge Transfer in Self-Knowledge Distillation

Knowledge distillation(KD) enhances student network generalization by transferring dark knowledge from a complex teacher network. To optimize computational expenditure and memory utilization, self-knowledge distillation(SKD) extracts dark knowledge from the model itself rather than an external teacher network. However, previous SKD methods performed distillation indiscriminately on full datasets, overlooking the analysis of representative samples. In this work, we present a novel two-stage approach to providing targeted knowledge on specific samples, named two-stage approach self-knowledge distillation(TOAST). We first soften the hard targets using class medoids generated based on logit vectors per class. Then, we iteratively distill the under-trained data with past predictions of half the batch size. The two-stage knowledge is linearly combined, efficiently enhancing model performance. Extensive experiments conducted on five backbone architectures show our method is model-agnostic and achieves the best generalization ***, TOAST is strongly compatible with existing augmentation-based regularization methods. Our method also obtains a speedup of up to 2.95x compared with a recent state-of-the-art method.

The effect of bladder function on the efficacy of transurethral prostatectomy in patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia:a retrospective,single-center study

We investigated the impact and predictive value of bladder function in patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia(BPH)on the efficacy of transurethral ***,imaging,and urodynamic data of patients who underwent transurethral prostatectomy at West China Hospital of Sichuan University(Chengdu,China)from July 2019 to December 2021 were ***-up data included the quality of life(QoL),International Prostate Symptom Score(IPSS),and IPSS storage and voiding(IPSS-s and IPSS-v).Moreover,urinary creatinine(Cr),nerve growth factor(NGF),brain-derived neurotrophic factor(BDNF),and prostaglandin estradiol(PGE2)were measured in 30 patients with BPH and 30 healthy *** indicators were determined by subgroup analyses and receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve *** the 313 patients with BPH included,patients with severe micturition problems had more improvements but higher micturition grades postoperatively than those with moderate ***,good bladder sensation,compliance,and detrusor contractility(Dc)were predictors of low postoperative IPSS and *** urinary concentrations of BDNF/Cr,NGF/Cr,and PGE2/Cr in patients were significantly higher than those in healthy participants(all P<***1).After evaluation,only DC was significantly related to both urinary indicators and postoperative recovery of *** with good DC,as predicted by urinary indicators,had lower IPSS and IPSS-v than those with reduced DC at the 1st month postoperatively(both P<0.05).In summary,patients with impaired bladder function had poor *** combined levels of urinary BDNF/Cr,NGF/Cr,and PGE2/Cr in patients with BPH may be valid predictors of preoperative bladderfunction and postoperative recovery.

This study aims to conduct a cost-effectiveness analysis of three different anesthesia strategies,namely chatting while under local anesthesia(Chat-LA),total intravenous anesthesia(TIVA),and general anesthesia with laryngeal mask airway(GA-LMA),employed in transperineal magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)/ultrasound(US)fusion prostate biopsy(TP-MUF-PB).A retrospective study was conducted involving 1202 patients who underwent TP-MUF-PB from June 2016 to April 2023 at The First Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University(Suzhou,China).Clinical data and outcomes,including total costs,complications,and quality-adjusted life years(QALYs),were *** sensitivity and subgroup analyses were also ***-LA was found to be the most cost-effective option,outperforming both TIVA and ***,subgroup analyses revealed that in younger patients(under 65 years old)and those with smaller prostate volumes(<40 ml),TIVA emerged as a more cost-effective *** Chat-LA may generally be the most cost-effective and safer anesthesia method for TP-MUF-PB,personalization of anesthesia strategies is crucial,considering specific patient demographics such as age and prostate volume.
