Effects of Wetland Vegetation on Soil Microbial Composition:A Case Study in Tumen River Basin,Northeast China

Hydrology plays a dominant role in wetland plant distribution and microbial composition, but few studies explicitly attempted to relate the linkage between wetland vegetation and microbial community. The present study consisted of five wetland plant communities along three adjacent flood gradients zones(zone 1 dominated by Carex appendiculat, zone 2 dominated by Eleocharis ovate, and zone 3 dominated by Phragmites australis/Bidens pilosa/Calamagrostis angustifolia, which formed separate, monoculture patches). Gram negative and arbuscular mycorrhizal fungal phospholipid fatty acid(PLFA) are more abundant in the site with short flooding period(zone 3) than in the site with long flooding period(zone 1), and they are also different in the P. australis, B. spilosa and C. angustifolia of zone 3. Principle Component Analysis(PCA) showed that the flooding period could explain 92.4% of variance in microbial composition. Redundancy Analysis(RDA) showed that available nitrogen(AN), total nitrogen(TN) and soil organic matter(SOM) could explain the 79.5% of variance in microbial composition among E. ovata, P. australis, B. pilosa and C. angustifolia. Results demonstrated that flooding period was the main factor in driving the microbial composition and plant-derived resources could influence soil microbial composition in the seasonally flooded zones.

Preparation and Characterization of Fullerene C_(60) and Phthalocyanine Co-grafted Poly(epoxy propyl carbazole)

The fullerene C-60 and phthatocyanine co-grafted poly (epoxy propyl carbazole) (C-60-CuPC-PEPC) was synthesized by Friedel-Crafts reaction. It was found that C-60-CuPc-PEPC had good UV-Vis absorption property, whose active spectral range was expanded from UV to visible spectrum region, and exhibited better photoconductivity than CuPc-PEPC and PEPC. These improvements could be attributed to the interaction between C-60, phthalocyanine and PEPC.

Thermomechanical and Shape Memory Properties of SCF/SBS/LLDPE Composites

A thermally triggered shape memory polymer composite was prepared by blending short carbon fiber（SCF） into a blend of poly（styrene-b-butadiene-b-styrene） triblock copolymer（SBS）/linear low density polyethylene（LLDPE） prior to curing. These composites have excellent processability compared with other thermosets. The dynamic mechanical analysis（DMA） and differential scanning calorimetry（DSC） were investigated to assess the thermomechanical properties of the SCF/SBS/LLDPE composite. Scanning electron microscope（SEM） imaging of the samples was performed to show the distribution of the SCF in the composite. The study specifically focused on the effect of SCF on the shape memory behavior of the SCF/SBS/LLDPE composite. The results indicated that the large amount of SCF significantly improved the mechanical property of the polymer composites while not damaging the shape memory performance. The SCF/SBS/LLDPE composites exhibited excellent shape memory behavior when the SCF content was less than 15.0 wt%. Moreover, the shape fixity ratio and shape recovery time of the SCF/SBS/LLDPE composites increased with the SCF content.

Molecular simulation study of the microstructures and properties of pyridinium ionic liquid[HPy][BF_(4)]mixed with acetonitrile

The microstructures and thermodynamic properties of mixed systems comprising pyridinium ionic liquid[HPy][BF_(4)]and acetonitrile at different mole fractions were studied using molecular dynamics simulation in this *** following properties were determined:density,self-diffusion coefficient,excess molar volume,and radial distribution *** results show that with an increase in the mole fraction of[HPy][BF_(4)],the self-diffusion coefficient ***,the excess molar volume initially decreases,reaches a minimum,and then *** rules of radial distribution functions(RDFs)of characteristic atoms are *** increasing the mole fraction of[HPy][BF_(4)],the first peak of the RDFs of HA1-F decreases,while that of CT6-CT6 rises at first and then *** indicates that the solvent molecules affect the polar and non-polar regions of[HPy][BF_(4)]differently.

Removing the remaining ridges in fingerprint segmentation

Fingerprint segmentation is an important step in fingerprint recognition and is usually aimed to identify non-ridge regions and unrecoverable low quality ridge regions and exclude them as background so as to reduce the time expenditure of image processing and avoid detecting false features. In high and in low quality ridge regions, often are some remaining ridges which are the afterimages of the previously scanned finger and are expected to be excluded from the foreground. However, existing seg-mentation methods generally do not take the case into consideration, and often, the remaining ridge regions are falsely classified as foreground by segmentation algorithm with spurious features produced erroneously including unrecoverable regions as fore-ground. This paper proposes two steps for fingerprint segmentation aimed at removing the remaining ridge region from the fore-ground. The non-ridge regions and unrecoverable low quality ridge regions are removed as background in the first step, and then the foreground produced by the first step is further analyzed for possible remove of the remaining ridge region. The proposed method proved effective in avoiding detecting false ridges and in improving minutiae detection.

Determination of risperidone in human plasma by HPLC-MS/MS and its application to a pharmacokinetic study in Chinese volunteers

This study presents a rapid, specific and sensitive liquid chromatography/tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) assay for determination of risperidone (RIS) in human serum using paroxetine as an internal standard (IS). An Alltima-C18 column (2.1 mm×100 mm, 3 μm) and a mobile phase consisting of 0.1% formic acid-acetonitrile (40:60, v/v) were used for separation. The analysis was performed by selected reaction monitoring (SRM) method, and the peak area of the m/z 411.3→191.1 transition for RIS was measured versus that of the m/z 330.1→192.1 transition for IS to generate the standard curves. The assay linearity of RIS was confirmed over the range 0.25～50.00 ng/ml and the limit of quantitation was 0.05 ng/ml. The linear range corresponds well with the serum concentrations of the analytes obtained in clinical pharmacokinetic studies. Intraday and interday relative standard deviations were 1.85%～9.09% and 1.56%～4.38%, respectively. The recovery of RIS from serum was in the range of 70.20%～84.50%. The method was successfully applied to investigate the bioequivalence between two kinds of tablets (test versus reference products) in 18 healthy male Chinese volunteers. The result suggests that two formulations are bioequivalent.

Effective incineration technology with a new-type rotary waste incinerator

The technology of steady combustion in a new type of rotary incinerator is firstly discussed. The formation and control of HCl,NOx and SO_(2) during the incineration of sampled municipal organic solid waste are studied with the incinerator. Results showed that the new model of rotary incinerator can effectively control and reduce the pollutant formations by post combustion.
