A Method Based on Multi-Body Dynamic Analysis for A Floating Two-Stage Buffer Collision-Prevention System Under Ship Collision Loads

The collision of ships poses a great threat to the piers in navigable *** kinetic energy of the moving ship can be consumed not only with the structural deformation,but also with tensile force from the proposed Floating Two-stage Buffer Collision-Prevention System(FTBCPS).The actual anti-collision effect of the current designed FTBCPS can be evaluated by the dynamic *** construction method of 3D model is introduced,and the system initial state is *** transformation matrix and the basic kinematics vector are given,and the system basic dynamics equation is then *** mechanical analysis on each component is carried out,and the detailed process of numerical simulation is also *** simulation results indicate that collision direction and collision position have a great influence on the system kinematic *** pier faces the greatest threat when a ship hits the floater on the front beam in a nearly vertical direction,or on the side beam in a larger course *** study shows that the current designed FTBCPS can make full use of the fracture tensile property of polyester ropes and keep the tensile force acted on pier within its bearable range at the same *** collision direction has a significant effect on the dynamic response of the colliding bodies,but no failure appeared in the simulations,which indicates that the current designed FTBCPS can protect bridge piers of all cases for the 5000-t ship with a velocity smaller than 5 m/s in navigable waters.

Polysaccharide-based membranes with excellent mechanical properties are highly desired. However, severe mechanical deterioration under wet conditions limits their biomedical applications. Here, inspired by the structural heterogeneity of strong yet hydrated biological materials, we propose a strategy based on heterogeneous crosslink-and-hydration（HCH） of a molecule/nano dual-scale network to fabricate polysaccharide-based nanocomposites with robust wet mechanical properties. The heterogeneity lies in that the crosslink-and-hydration occurs in the molecule-network while the stress-bearing nanofiber-network remains unaffected. As one demonstration, a membrane assembled by bacterial cellulose nanofiber-network and Ca2+-crosslinked and hydrated sodium alginate molecule-network is designed. Studies show that the crosslinked-and-hydrated molecule-network restricts water invasion and boosts stress transfer of the nanofiber-network by serving as interfibrous bridge. Overall, the molecule-network makes the membrane hydrated and flexible; the nanofiber-network as stress-bearing component provides strength and *** HCH dual-scale network featuring a cooperative effect stimulates the design of advanced biomaterials applied under wet conditions such as guided bone regeneration membranes.

Multi-stage Dynamic Post-disaster Recovery Strategy for Distribution Networks Considering Integrated Energy and Transportation Networks

A Novel Hybrid Point Defect of Oxygen Vacancy and Phosphorus Doping in TiO_(2)Anode for High-Performance Sodium Ion Capacitor

Although sodium ion capacitors(SICs)are considered as one of the most promising electrochemical energy storage devices(organic electrolyte batteries,aqueous batteries and supercapacitor,etc.)due to the combined merits of battery and capacitor,the slow reaction kinetics and low specific capacity of anode materials are the main *** defects including vacancies and heteroatoms doping have been widely used to improve the kinetics behavior and capacity of anode ***,the interaction between vacancies and heteroatoms doping have been seldomly *** this study,a hybrid point defects(HPD)engineering has been proposed to synthesize TiO_(2) with both oxygen vacancies(OVs)and P-dopants(TiO_(2)/C-HPD).In comparison with sole OVs or P-doping treatments,the synergistic effects of HPD on its electrical conductivity and sodium storage performance have been clarified through the density func-tional theory calculation and sodium storage *** expected,the kinetics and electronic conductivity of TiO_(2)/C-HPD3 are significantly improved,resulting in excellent rate performance and outstanding cycle ***,the SICs assembled from TiO_(2)/C-HPD3 anode and nitrogen-doped porous carbon cathode show outstanding power/energy density,ultra-long life with good capacity *** work provides a novel point defect engineering perspective for the development of high-performance SICs electrode materials.

Effect of the Notch signaling pathway on retinal ganglion cells and its neuroprotection in rats with acute ocular hypertension

AIM： To explore the effect of the Notch signaling pathway on retinal ganglion cells（RGCs） and optic nerve in rats with acute ocular hypertension（OH）.METHODS： Totally 48 Sprague-Dawley（SD） rats were included, among which 36 rats were selected to establish acute OH models. OH rats received a single intravitreal injection of 2 μL phosphate buffered solution（PBS） and another group of OH rats received a single intravitreal injection of 10 μmol/L γ-secretase inhibitor（DAPT）. Quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction（qPCR） and Western blot assay were adopted to determine the mRNA level of Notch and the protein levels of Notch, Bcl-2, Bax, caspase-3, and growth-associated protein 43（GAP-43）. The RGC apoptosis conditions were assessed by TUNEL ***： The OH rats and PBS-injected rats had increased expression levels of Notch1, Bax, caspase-3, and GAP-43, decreased expression levels of Bcl-2, and increased RGC apoptosis, with severer macular edema and RGCs more loosely aligned, when compared with the normal rats. The DAPT-treated rats displayed increased expression levels of Notch1, Bax, caspase-3, and GAP-43, decreased expression levels of Bcl-2, and increased RGC apoptosis, in comparison with the OH rats and PBSinjected rats. RGCs were hardly observed and macular edema became severe in the DAPT-treated ***： The Notch signaling pathway may suppress the apoptosis of retinal ganglion cells and enhances the regeneration of the damaged optic nerves in rats with acute OH.

Feasibility study on heap bioleaching of chalcopyrite

Bioleaching of chalcopyrite often encountered the formation of passivation layer, which inhibited the leaching process and resulted in a low leaching rate. This inhibitory effect can be eliminated by thermophilic biole- aching. The industrial test of BioCOP technology based on thermophiles was successfully completed, which confirmed the feasibility of chalcopyrite bioleaching. However, industrial leaching rate of chalcopyrite heap bioleaching is lower. This paper described the development status and industrial test of chalcopyrite heap bioleaching technology. The reasons for the lower efficiency of chalcopyrite heap bioleaching were analyzed. The strategies for successful chalcopyrite heap bioleaching were proposed.

A PROJECTION-TYPE METHOD FOR SOLVING VARIOUS WEBER PROBLEMS

This paper investigates various Weber problems including unconstrained Weber problems and constrained Weber problems under l1, l2 and l∞-norms. First with a transformation technique various Weber problems are turned into a class of monotone linear variational inequalities. By exploiting the favorable structure of these variational inequalities, we present a new projection-type method for them. Compared with some other projection-type methods which can solve monotone linear variational inequality, this new projection-type method is simple in numerical implementations and more efficient for solving this class of problems; Compared with some popular methods for solving unconstrained Weber problem and constrained Weber problem, a singularity would not happen in this new method and it is more reliable by using this new method to solve various Weber problems.
